Experiment 3
Bonnie finally arrived in some kind of forest and fell to her knees as she dropped Popgoes and Strings. "T...that took a lot outta me..."
"Y-you okay, sis?" Strings asked.
Bonnie nodded before her eyes widened. "Wait...sis?"
"I mean...Fritz made me too, a-and...well..." Strings coughed a bit. "N-Nevermind. Forget I said anything."
Bonnie actually...smiled. She then helped him and Popgoes up. "Alright, little bro."
Strings' eyes widened and he then smiled at Bonnie. "Heh."
Popgoes smiled and wanting some kind of thing to lean on after what they had just escaped, he hugged both of them. "That makes me your brother then! Fritz made me too!"
Bonnie giggled and patted Popgoes' back. "Guess so, huh?"
Strings chuckled before the hug broke. "T-that aside...what the heck was that thing?"
"You mean you don't know either?" Popgoes asked. "I mean, it kind of looked like a skeleton rat or something..."
"Skeleton." Bonnie hummed and began thinking before it hit her. "Skeleton and looking for us specifically. Simon made that thing to kill us."
Strings' eye widened. "O...oh, jeez...he really isn't giving up..."
Bonnie shook her head, filled with an anger she tried to control. Simon hurt them and hurt her. No matter how much she blamed herself for what she did to her father.
"Does...that mean he's made more?" Popgoes asked, looking at both of them.
Strings sighed. "I wouldn't be surprised."
"It was a badger's skeleton." Bonnie suddenly realized. "That was some kind of copy of Blake...a monstrous version of him."
Popgoes' eyes only widened in horror. "T...that thing's Blake?"
"H-hey now, she said it was a copy of him. Not the real deal." Strings reassured, although he was just assuming that was the case. And he was praying it was too, because the last thing they needed was another problem to solve.
Bonnie kept thinking before she remembered how she could almost feel something from the monster. She could sense what it felt.
Hatred. Anger. Frustration. Irritation. And pain. The creature itself wasn't in pain, it just had something that was in pain inside of it. Bonnie had remembered researching about this before her death.
Remnants of a spirit if she could recall. She was a bit of a ghost hunter, so she tried to figure out everything she could about spirits and the paranormal afterlife.
She kind of regretted it now. She ended up dying with that being her career.
"Uhhh, sis? Your tear tracks are glowing." Strings said.
Bonnie's eyes widened and she tried to look down at her own face. "They are?"
"They're dimming now." Strings said. "How did you get those anyway?"
"They just kinda...showed up." Bonnie sighed. "But looks like we won't need to worry about finding Simon anymore."
Strings nodded. "Cause he's gonna try and find US."
Bonnie nodded as well before she clenched her fist. "We gotta stop him somehow, and maybe letting these things take us could be our ticket to finding him."
"But how are we gonna stop him? He took all of us out by himself, and now he's got an army!" Popgoes cried.
Strings hummed. "I mean...weapons could probably come in handy."
"And where are we gonna get those?" Bonnie asked before blinking. "Actually, I...I think I know a place. I can grab some real quick. You stay here."
Strings nodded. "Come back quick...I have a feeling Monster Blake won't quit."
Bonnie gave a reassuring smile before teleporting away. Popgoes and Strings began to wait before a few minutes passed and their fears started to come to fruition. They started to hear rustling of leaves and footsteps.
Strings whipped around and his eyes widened. "Oh, no..."
Then? Something, two somethings, lunged from the shadows. A third followed soon after, almost gliding through the air. They landed right in front of Strings and Popgoes.
Much like Epitome Blake? They were all skeletal.
The Epitomes shrieked and lunged at Strings and Popgoes.
The two began to run, but Epitome Stone glided through the air and right in front of them. His 'wings' then suddenly turned the other way and towards his fists like blades or swords.
Popgoes screamed and then dodged a swing from Epitome Stone. He kept running, but was eventually smacked to the ground by Epitome Saffron, who was about to bite into him.
Strings slammed his fist into Epitome Saffron's eye and then kicked her away. But he was slashed across the chest by Epitome Stone's blades.
The robotic security guard screamed in pain, only to be charged down onto the ground by Epitome Sara.
Epitome Stone retracted his blades and then he and his fellow monsters looked right at Popgoes. They remembered their mission.
To steal his heart. Literally.
Epitome Saffron cut open Popgoes' robotic chest and Epitome Sara began to reach forward.
"GET THE FUCK AWAY, YOU FREAKS!!!" A voice screamed before an axe swung, cutting off Epitome Sara's head.
Epitome Sara fell to the ground, black liquid spewing onto the grass from her neck...the black liquid was causing the grass and even the dirt to shrivel up and die.
Epitome Stone and Epitome Saffron roared and charged at their attacker, who was Bonnie.
Bonnie swung the axe again, but Epitome Saffron dodged while Epitome Stone slashed his blades at her. Bonnie was just barely able to block it with her axe.
She then teleported behind him and slashed at his arms, cutting them off. More of the black liquid spewed out and onto the ground, causing it to rot.
Bonnie's eyes widened...she could sense something from the black liquid. The same feeling she had gotten from Epitome Blake.
Agony. These things were powered by some kind of agonizing remnant of a soul.
Epitome Saffron then hopped into the air and kicked Bonnie in the face before her tail extended to the length of a whip, which wrapped tightly around Bonnie's axe and yanked it away.
Bonnie yelped and teleported away again. She got behind Epitome Saffron, stealing the axe again and slamming the blade into the monster's face.
Epitome Saffron screamed in pain as the black Agony streamed down her face like blood. She kept screaming and screaming before Bonnie ripped out her axe and swung at her head, ending the monster's misery.
Bonnie took a deep breath, watching the last of the monsters fall down...until she began to see the body parts she cut off the monsters move.
Then, black tendrils came from them and forcefully reattached the limbs and heads back to the Epitomes. They all got back immediately, looking at Bonnie.
Bonnie backed up, horrified and realizing she couldn't kill them. She then heard a familiar roar and turned around.
Then, in the air, lunging at her was Epitome Blake.
Bonnie screamed and rushed towards Popgoes and Strings, grabbing them and teleporting away again.
Epitome Blake landed on all fours, snarling and standing up.
But...Epitome Sara then lifted up a glowing green device. The 'heart' of Popgoes. She had ripped it out while Bonnie wasn't looking.
The Epitomes then began to snarl and growl at each other, as if speaking.
Then, Epitome Blake ran off, tracking down Bonnie and Strings. The other three began to walk back to their master, having completed their mission.
