Experiment 2

Strings had no idea what to do now. Popgoes lost his friends and Bonnie's new animatronic body had murdered her own father. And Simon was now going to hunt all three of them down until they were dead.

They had just been living in an old warehouse that seemed to be abandoned. Or at least, they hoped it was. They had lost track of how long they had stayed there.

Strings turned to Popgoes, who was just dead silent and curled up. Strings then looked at Bonnie, who somehow had tears down her metallic face. Or at least, tear tracks.

They seemed to be painted on. Strings doubted Bonnie would paint them on herself. Maybe it was a ghost thing.

Strings then stood up. "I'm gonna go outside for a few minutes."

"Don't get spotted." Popgoes said simply, not even questioning why Strings wanted to.

In reality, Strings just needed some fresh air. Some space to think. He sighed as he went outside, using the ladder to go onto the rooftop of the building. He looked up at the starry night sky.

It was...rather beautiful. Strings even reached up with his red and lanky hand, as if he was trying to grab one of the stars. He knew it was too far away, but the childlike wonder he wanted to feel was a nice distraction.

Distraction. He felt selfish for wanting that when he should be focusing on what to do. But what could he do?

He couldn't avoid his problems, but he had no idea what to do about them. Strings then sat down, trying to think. He wasn't going to be a coward about this. He was going to do something. Just anything.

Even if that something didn't work.

Strings tried to think of what to do, his head almost hurting cause of it. And he didn't know how. He was machine.

He had to admit, his father was a genius for being able to create such lifelike machines. Especially like him, Popgoes, Blake, Saffron, and Sara. And Simon, he guessed.

He growled at the thought of Simon. Simon was an enemy. Evil. What was his reason for doing all of this? Did they do something to him?

Did Fritz do something to him? Did locking him away truly anger him that much?

No. If he wanted to be free from chains, he would've manipulated Strings into freeing him sooner. Freedom from his cage was just a step of a bigger plan.

What did Simon want? And where was he now?

Strings was about to go back to the others before he heard...growling. He looked from side to side. "Bonnie? Popgoes?"

Then? Something leapt from the bottom of the building and into the air. The creature landed right in front of Strings, their eyes glowing brightly.

It looked like some kind of yellow skeleton of an animal...and it didn't look friendly.

Strings backed up, his eyes widening in horror. "W-what are you!?"

Epitome Blake snarled before lunging at Strings, slashing his claws at him. Strings just barely managed to dodge. Epitome Blake kept lunging and slashing at him though, not giving up for even a second.

Strings eventually grabbed an old pipe and held it like a weapon, still backing up. Epitome Blake roared and once again lunged at Strings.

The robotic security guard clenched the pipe tightly and swung with all his might, hitting Epitome Blake across the face.

The yellow skeleton fell onto their all fours, like a deranged animal. Epitome Blake then looked up at Strings, only to get hit over and over by him.

The pipe eventually broke in half, with Strings yelping in fear once it did. He then jabbed it into the eye of the monster chasing him before climbing down the ladder.

"GUYS! WE HAVE TO LEAVE!!!" Strings shrieked.

Bonnie's head quickly shot up. "W-what? What do you-"

Strings then made it onto the ground. But he screamed once Epitome Blake merely hopped down and landed behind him.

The creature roared and slashed at Strings, who cried out in pain once he was finally slashed in the back.

Bonnie's eyes were wide in horror and she suddenly teleported over to Strings. Epitome Blake lunged at her as well, but missed once both Bonnie and Strings teleported over to Popgoes.

Epitome Blake let out an unholy shriek and began charging at them.

Bonnie grabbed Popgoes and teleported to the other side of the building, causing Epitome Blake to hit the wall.

"We gotta get outta here!!!" Popgoes screamed. "Teleport us somewhere else!!!"

"I DON'T KNOW WHERE!!!" Bonnie screamed back before Epitome Blake charged at them again, but she did the same trick.

However, the monster seemed to anticipate this, and bounced off the wall and right towards Bonnie. Epitome Blake roared, punching her in the face and sending her crashing onto her back.

Epitome Blake landed on his feet and roared. He then lunged down at Bonnie, ready to tear her apart, but Popgoes suddenly charged in and wrapped his arms around Epitome Blake's waist.

"G-GET AWAY FROM HER!" Popgoes screamed as he used all his strength to throw Epitome Blake across the room.

But Epitome Blake just landed on his feet and hadn't even gone very far.

Strings managed to stand up again and then quickly came up with something. "WOODS!! TELEPORT US TO SOME WOODS!!!"

Bonnie grabbed both Popgoes and Strings and closed her eyes, trying to focus. She still hadn't mastered her teleporting and actually had to know where she was going. She tried with all her might to think woods or forest.

Epitome Blake lunged at them a final time, roaring as he slashed at them. But they were already gone by the time he slashed.

He rolled onto the floor and into a crouching stance. Epitome Blake snarled and began looking around.

He was scanning for them. Specifically for remnants of Bonnie's soul. Wherever Bonnie was? Popgoes and Strings were to.

Epitome Blake stood up once he got a location. But it was a long way. He snarled and ran right at the wall, and effortlessly smashed through it and towards the forest Bonnie had teleported to.
