VII
After my bath I use my fingers to brush my hair out. Ida never came to the bathhouse, causing me to worry. I waited for her but she never showed.
Toting my stuff back to my house. I throw the door open, angry. "Ida! Where are you?" I shout as I slam the door shut.
Throwing my clothes on the floor by the door I stomp to my room. "You need to get ready!"
Opening the door I see the room is empty. Our drawers are out and clean. No clothes lay in them. I whirl around when I hear noise in the kitchen.
Running into the kitchen I plow into mother. "Where's Id-" I cut myself off as I see Ida standing by the table with bags on it. "What's going on?"
Ida grabs one bag and puts it on her shoulders. "We're leaving. Tonight."
"No!" I scream.
"Yes! Prina we have to. We can't go through three phases of the Necron! Mom says they don't care if your injured, you keep fighting till you can't anymore!"
I slam my hand down on the table. "You're willing to leave and let them die for you?" I look her in the eyes, demanding her to answer me.
"Yes." She says simply. Almost like she could care less if our parents died so she could get away.
Without thinking I lunges over the table, which cause my welts to split. I slap her across the face. Sucking in a breath as I realize what I've done.
Ida turns to face me again, a red hand print on her cheek. "They will die no matter what." She tells me. "If we die in the pit mom and dad will give up! They will die without us. If we live they die FOR us!" She screams at me, the room dims as she yells. Slowly darkness rolls off of her absorbing everything in the room.
Blinking my eyes to try to see through the darkness. "You leave then I'm not." I spot out before I turn to leave.
My mother yanks my arm making me stop in my tracks. "You will leave with your sister!" He says in a powerful voice. "Your father has arranged it already."
"If I leave I will bring others with us." I say hoping it will make them change their minds.
"Go, quickly then."
I run out the house sucking in air. I run down the streets my eyes going back and forth. Searching for specific people.
Rushing towards the training grounds, I skid to a stop. Staring at him.
Ash is at the gates of the wall. Getting access to the better side. Glancing back he spots me and smirks.
"Ash wait! I have a question!" I rush up to him tugging on his arm.
Yanking his arm away, I think I feel sparks. I rule it out as my over active imagination.
"What is it?" He grumbles out
"Can you find Marisa for me? Please it's important." I ask him with wide eyes.
He takes a step back. "Why your sister still having problems?"
I glare at him. "Never mind Ash! I won't ask you for help again."
I grins at me. "Yes you will. You need my help, just don't know it yet." He turns towards the gates again. Verifying his address he looks back "Well let's go." He snaps at me.
For a second I'm stunned. He's actually going to find her. I scurry after him the peons giving me a distasteful look. I hold my head high glaring daggers at them as we walk past.
As we walk I notice the fountain they have, spewing sparkling water. Tress lining the fountain and beyond that you can see the Templor home.
A group of kids run past us screaming and laughing. I notice Ash smile.
As a kid wipe out scrapping his palms and knee, ash picks him up brushing him off. "You're ok little dude." He Pat's the kid in the back before he runs off again, catching up to his friends.
I smile, realising he has a soft spot for children.
After a few minutes ash stops causing me to run into him. "Geez Prina, this is getting ridiculous. I know you think I'm hot but figure out a different way to get my attention." He says with a smirk.
I stiffle a groan and roll my eyes. He lifts his hand pointing to a house.
"Well go get her please." I ask nicely.
"Only because you asked nicely." He says as he walks up her steps. Knocking on her door, Marisa answers right away. She looks past him at me and smiles. Shutting her door she comes down with Ash.
"Still need help?" She ask me.
I look between her and Ash. "Um, yeah I do actually. Can we talk in private?"
Marisa nodds her head and leads us back towards the gates.
I leans over whispering in her ear. "Ida is leaving the realm. I have to go with her can you please come with us?" I ask, praying she says yes.
"We can't leave the realm Prina. You know that they won't allow it." She glances at me.
"I know, but we have to try." I say. I start walking away from her, knowing she won't help. "Just don't tell anyone." I mumble out.
Ash cuts me off at the gates. I put my hand on my hip. "What?" I snap, frustrated.
He leans forward pulling me into a hug. At first I'm surprised. Then he starts talking. "Take me with you. If you get caught I'll say it was my idea."
I step back with a confused expression. "Why?"
He shrugs his shoulders looking at the ground.
"Fine, let's go. We don't have time for you to pack though." I tell him as I walk through the gates.
As we walk to my house I don't realise Marisa is following us. Ida and my parents are leaving my house. Ida holding a bag on her back and my father holding the other.
"Ready?" Ida ask me.
My mother gives me a concerned look. "Who is he?"
"He's coming with us."
My father nodds his head as my mother shakes hers. He motions for us to follow him as we walk towards the stage to see the Templor.
