6: Welcome to Moving 101

The open created open as the fragile wood opened all the way up in the small cellar. It hit the wall as it shook coming back to Jack inch by inch. Jack didn't let it shut and entered the room. It was small and old. Two large sleeves were on each side of the room. Two small, dirty windows brought in degrees of light.

In the middle of the room was a mat or rug. It looked like it had some kind of pattern on it, but with all the dirty and dust in the room had.covered it and made to look gross.

Jack turned around and inspeted the room. The corner were empty, no one was hiding in them. He even more the door to check behind that, but the room was empty of life.

The girl was gone.

"Where did she go?" Jack asked himself. She was there. He had talked to her or at least someone. He should have asked her for her name or something. This didn't make any sense. First eh intruder then this. It didn't make sense. "Unless it was all in your head," a voice in his head said. Maybe he really was going mad...

Jack sighed as he exited the basement. He left the door open and all the mess at the bottom of the stairs. He felt stupid and just confused. I need to take a nap. Jack walled up the second floor on in the kitchen and walked the rest of the way to the chamber with the old bed. He laid down the bed and the last thing he saw before he when to dreamland was the blue of something white.

Jack sprung up from the bed with an ache in his back. Jack rubbed his back before he focused his attention to that woke him up in the first place: his cell phone. The retanguable object rang singing a familiar tone. Jack sat up on the bed and planted his feet on the wooden floor. He accepted the call and place it by his ear. "Hello?" he answered.

"Yes, hello," came a voice from the other side. It was a young man's voice and he seemed to be in a cheery mood which lifted Jack mood a few degrees. "Im from the moving van company and it said that you still have one of our vans. Is that true?"

"Yes, it's true," Jack said, standing up so he could walk and talk. "My parents should have paid for today." Jack walked to the bay's window and looked at the moving van which has barely been open. Jack pasued realsing that they should have, but that didn't mean that they did. "Im sorry. I guess they forgot to pay it." Jack cursed himself in his mind. "Can I pay it when I return it?"

"Of course, sir, you will just have to pay the original price plus half the original price. Is that okay with you?"

"Yes," Jack said walking away from the window and towards the hall staircase. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, sir; and thank you for choosing Moving Hands." The guy on the other side hung up when Jack was on the stairs. He put his phone in his pocket and excited the front door.

Unlocking and opening the moving van's door once again, Jack started to get to work. The sun was now at the highest point of the sky making it the hottest period of the day. Jack's stomach rumbled as he placed the long ramp down upon the road. He skipped breakfast in favor of opening the cellar and he slept through lunch time.

"I have to go get something to eat after I'm done with his moving and paying the moving van expenses," Jack said to himself, but someone nearby was listening to him.

Jack first started with his mattress which one of the last things he packed. He barley managed to hold the thing with both of his hands and he balanced the long detangle on his back. It was a struggle on his back but he managed to plop the white mattress on the floor in the bed-chamber. Next was the dinner table which was a small foldable table that he could easily haul to the kitchen and assembled by himself. He brought in four folding chairs as well.

Jack could his hands on his hips, standing akimbo. He had a smile on his face like he was happy with his improvements. "This looks...pathetic." Jack's arms flooded to his sides and a frown formed on his lips.

Jack went back to the small moving van which was now half empty. He finished unpacking everything else and ended with the plants which were on the veranda.

Jack looked at the potted plants. Most of them were small and could ealsoey be moved but there was one bog one in the corner. It was an obvious
