The Day Claire Booped Becky

Becky D was patrolling the Camp boundary. Yes, since she started living on land, she had to join in with the chores too. She was just finishing up, climbing up the hill to Thalia'a tree, where she would wait for the next shift to show up and then go find Claire or Grover.
Becky D paused under the tree, relaxing. She noticed that there were some arrows on the floor, but she didn't question it. Then all of a sudden, a face swung down from the branches, and a finger reached out to boop the naiad's nose. Luckily, with her inhuman reflexes, Becky D managed to catch the wrist that was attached to the offending finger before it could make contact, and she peered up into the tree.
Claire was hanging upside down from one of the lowest branches by her knees, arms outstretched. She pouted at Becky D, who was now holding her hand hostage.
"What are you doing?!" Becky D screamed quietly.
"I just wanted to boop your nose!" Claire swung down from the tree, and landed on the grass in a crouch, empty quiver on her back. She gave her friend her best puppy dog eyes. "Permission to boop?"
Becky D finally released Claire's hand.
"Permission denied."
"Awwww..."
"No."
"Why nooooot???"
"Because I said so."
The next shift arrived, and the pair started down the hill.
"Beckyyyyyy..."
Becky D replied in a resigned tone, "Yes Clair- Ah!"
The motion of turning her head to look at Claire put Becky D's nose on a collision course with Claire's outstretched finger.
The two touched.
"Agh!" Becky D screamed, leaping away from Claire. "I thought we were friends! What part of NO do you NOT UNDERSTAND?"
Claire just laughed, unaware of the damage she had done. Becky D was a force of nature. A small provocative boop could trigger an avalanche.
"I said PERMISSION DENIED! And you BOOPED ME ANYWAY!"
Claire looked up in shock as the naiad's body burst into fire, and she rapidly became a flaming rage demon. Her eyes flickered with the infernos of hell.

In a matter of seconds, Becky D razed Camp Half-Blood to the ground and started dancing around a bonfire with Claire tied to a stake in the middle. She laughed with manic evil when the flames started to lick at the toes of her former friend's favourite boots.

It was at this moment that I, Jonathan Pars-Komma, walked out of my cubicle in the public washroom to find that the entire block of toilets had been obliterated and my stall was the only thing left standing in the entire Camp. I slowly backed back into the stall and locked the door.

The Day Claire booped Becky D, a real-life report by Jon.

EDIT: by Lorelai

Okay, I can assure you that this did not happen. Jon is known for exaggerating things a tad, so I thought to check this over before submitting it to Claire for posting, and it's a good thing I did too. Camp Half-Blood and it's toilets still stand, Claire and her boots are alive and well, and Jon is in a lot of trouble with Becky D.

Basically, yes, there was a memorable incident with Claire booping Becky D, but not to the extent portrayed above. We did however see Becky D, who is usually... if not shy, then meek, about as angry as anyone ever has. Basically after Claire booped Becky D after she told her not to, Becky D started yelling at her. It was the first time that any of us had heard her raise her voice. Then she stormed off to sulk in the lake, and Claire was too surprised to follow. She just stood there with this blank expression on her face, blinking lots.

Later on after dinner, Claire tried to apologise to Becky D. It went something like this:

Claire: Hey, Becky.

Becky D: What do you want?

Claire: A hug

Becky D: Sorry, I don't have any. You'll have to look somewhere else.

Everyone at Camp thought that all naiads were fickle and self-centred, with short attention spans. We all told Claire that Becky D would forget all about it soon. Oh gods, were we wrong.

Becky D held the grudge for a week and a half, until Claire offered to take her to a mortal mall as a treat, which she couldn't turn down. So thankfully, the two are friends again, and the Camp is no longer eerily silent.

The end.
