Chapter 50

Chapter 50: Waste no time

--six weeks later--

~Byakuya's POV~ As the year slowly came to a close, many things changed; summer was officially here, and finals were upon us.

Starting today we would be dedicating the entire week to taking our final exams, and literally two weeks later it would be time to graduate.

However, I wasn't very nervous about finals--the only emotion I could feel was happiness.

Why? Because June's family accepted our relationship.

Although it was quite awhile ago, I find I can't stop thinking about it.

Now, nothing can get in the way of June and I's love for each other.

I love June so much, she's all I think about. I've loved her since the fifth grade, and that's what I've been thinking about.

But, it's not the only thing I've been thinking about; I've been thinking about doing something for awhile now, but haven't exactly had the courage to do it. However, after many weeks thinking about it and going over how much I really love June, I've decided I can't waste any more time and I'm going to do it.

And now, since the year is coming to a close, I figured out the perfect time to do it.

"Yo, Byakuya, you nervous about finals?" Leon whispered as we sat two desks apart, the requirement when we were taking a test.

Leon and I were assigned to the same testing room, as well as a handful of our classmates.

June unfortunately wasn't in here, but I got to wish her good luck before.

I shrugged at Leon. "Not really. I've got other things on my mind." I said honestly.

"What? Like Graduation Day?" Leon said. "'Cause I've got that on my mind too."

"Why's that?" I asked.

Leon made sure the teacher wasn't looking before he held up his cell phone to show me a random text. "This." he said.

I leaned in close and read.

Unknown number: Something big is going down on Graduation Day. Be prepared.

I raised my eyebrows.

Leon smiled. "See? Something big is clearly gonna go down on Graduation Day! Isn't that exciting? I wonder what it is...!"

"Um... could it be that we're graduating...?" I said in an obvious tone of voice.

Leon scratched his head. "Oh. Right. That could be it..." he mumbled.

"It's odd, though; June told me awhile back she got text like that... Only she said she thought it was you who had sent it to her..." I said.

Leon frowned. "What? Seriously? Everyone's been getting these. In fact, Sayaka just texted me five minutes ago and said she got one too... I also heard Ishimaru and Hina got them as well." he said.

My eyes widened. "Really? I always assumed it was just some sort of prank from you..."

Leon snorted and shook his head. "No! I mean, sending fake text messages? That's not me!" he said before he smirked. "Now, stealing all of Ishimaru's underwear and swapping it out for Hina's? That's me!"

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, that's classic Leon," I said. "And, speaking of everyone getting these texts, I actually remember Naegi telling me something about getting a weird text a couple of days ago... I had brushed it off and thought nothing of it."

Leon shrugged. "Meh. It was probably sent out to all the students. I bet the teachers are just trying to prepare us for graduation."

I nodded. "You're probably right. However, another weird thing is I haven't received one..." I said, and it was true--I had received no weird texts.

"Huh. I guess that's a bit strange," Leon said. "But, I bet you'll get yours soon."

Before I got a chance to respond, the teacher looked up from her desk. Leon immediately put his phone away before she came into the center of the room and told us to take out our pencils.

"Which way, Mr. Togami?"

"Make another left." I said to my limo driver before he made a left.

After the first day of finals was over, I only had one thing on my mind.

So I called my limo driver.

We were almost there, and my excitement grew.

Suddenly, I looked out the window and I saw it.

"Stop here." I said.

My driver obeyed and stopped. He looked out the window in confusion. "Don't mind me by asking, Mr. Togami. But, what are we doing here?" he said.

I felt a smile form on my lips. "You'll find out soon enough," I said before I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the door. Before I got out, I stopped. "Oh, and don't keep the limo running; I might be in there for awhile."

My driver nodded. "Yes sir."

I then exited the limo and closed the door behind me.

I stopped again, this time looking up at the sign of the store and smiling.

Sato Jewelry Store

The most expensive jewelry store in town. I wanted to make sure I got the best of the best.

I took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this."

Then, I opened the door and let myself in.

Author's Note: Hey guys!

This is just to let you know that we only have SIX MORE CHAPTERS TO GO (not counting the epilogue), before this book officially ends.

I know it's a bit sad, but I've had an excellent time writing this and I hope you all had an excellent time reading it.

However, it's not the end YET; you still have six more chapters to read!

I hope you enjoy them!

Until next time,
