Chapter 47: The blissful morning after

~Byakuya's POV~ When I opened my eyes and woke up, I felt sunlight shining in my face just before I shifted my position slightly.

I was facing June, who looked so beautiful and content as she was sleeping peacefully next to me.

The memories from last night immediately hit me.

I smiled. Last night. It was amazing.

You know why? Because June and I had sex last night, for the first time ever.

We made love last night.

I looked down at June, the sheets covering her naked body. I probably turned bright red.

I saw June NAKED last night.

Best. Experience. Ever.

I remember how she had moaned my name last night... Probably the sexiest thing I've ever heard in my entire life.

"Good morning."

I looked down to see June's wide green eyes staring at me happily.

Suddenly, I realized my hand was absent-mindedly stroking June's hair.

I removed my hand. "So sorry, sleepyhead. How did you sleep?"

"Now, Byakuya, you know the both of us didn't get any sleep last night... which isn't particularly a bad thing..." June giggled as she blushed pink.

I let one of my fingers twirl a lock of her hair around and around. "No, no it most definitely isn't," I sighed happily. "I love you."

June smiled. "I love you too."

My heart thudded against my chest; it was a nice and warm feeling. I felt like that whenever I heard June say she loved me.

We had told each other we loved each other multiple times last night.

I propped one of my elbows up with a pillow as I gazed down lovingly at her, my beautiful girlfriend--my June.

"Last night was the best night of my entire life," June said, looking at me with nothing but love in her eyes. "I want to repeat it over and over and over again..."

I smirked. "The feeling is more mutual than you'll ever know." I purred before I gave June's butt a little slap.

June squealed slightly before she slapped me back on my stomach playfully. "Byakuya Togami..." she hissed with a giggle.

I kept smirking. "A little lower next time, my love." I said, and June blushed harder.

"God, Byakuya, you're impossible..." June snorted.

"Well, you're in love with impossible." I retorted.

June smirked back. "And I'll readily admit it to anyone who asks," she said in response. "Also, don't slap me there... I'm still sore..."

"I bet you are--Byakuya Togami always aims to satisfy and impress." I said, proud of myself.

June leaned in and so did I, closing the gap between us.

As her soft lips grazed mine, I was brought back to last night and how it felt making her mine--how blissful it was.

Unfortunately, our kiss was interrupted by a loud beeping noise.

June pulled away and looked to my nightstand, where my alarm clock was screaming.

She slapped her hand down on top of it, which silenced its annoying sound. I smiled.

"Much better," I said before I pulled her back into me with a smirk. "Now, where were we?"

June gave me a look. "Byakuya, as much as I would love to continue what we were doing, that alarm went off because it's time to get ready for school."

Ugh. School. I gave June a look back and pouted. "Oh, come on, Junie... Do we even have to go to school??? Can't we just skip???" I whined.

June shook her head. "No, Byakuya, we can't just lay here all day and skip school; we'd get in trouble and, plus, finals are coming up so we really need to pay attention and study." she pointed out. I groaned.

"Okay, fine. We'll go. Happy?"

June smiled. "Yes, my prince charming~!" she sang, and I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"So, Byakuya, what did you and June do for White Day yesterday?" Naegi asked as he, Ishimaru, Leon, and I walked to class.

"Was it romantic?" Ishimaru questioned. "What Erin and I did yesterday was romantic; we went to the hockey rink when it was deserted, set a picnic blanket on the ice, and had a frozen picnic. I even got her a bouquet of her favorite flowers that I had put a hockey puck in for an added bonus. She loved it."

"Wait a sec--does that mean you two broke into the hockey rink???" Leon asked before he pumped his fist in the air. "Awesome! I'm so proud of you, dude!"

Ishimaru turned pink. "Okay, so maybe we snuck into the hockey rink, which is a totally different thing from breaking in...!" he immediately said. We all chuckled.

"Oh, and to answer your question, Ishimaru--yes, what June and I did yesterday was romantic," I said before I smirked. "Actually, it may have been even a little more than just romantic..."

That earned me wide eyed stares from the guys.

"What did you two lovebirds do yesterday...?" Leon asked suggestingly, a devious glint in his eyes.

"Well, it'll please Leon for me to announce that I am a virgin no more." I said proudly, and Leon's eyes widened.

"Woah, really???" Leon gaped, surprised. "You and June... you and June had... sex last night...?"

I nodded, smiling. "Yes, yes we did."

Leon clasped a hand on my shoulder. "Congrats, Togami! Now we officially got rid of all the virgins in our group!" he said.

Naegi half-raised his hand. "Uh, I'm still a virgin, Leon..." he mumbled.

"As am I..." Ishimaru admitted, also half-raising his hand.

Leon pressed his lips together. "Well... half the group has been devirginized..." he said.

"'Devirginized'?" Naegi repeated, raising his eyebrows. "Really?"

Leon narrowed his eyes at him. "What? What's wrong with it? I came up with it all by myself!" he said.

"I'm sure you did..." Ishimaru said.

I sighed, staring straight ahead at nothing. "I need new friends..." I mumbled.

Leon's smirk returned to his face. "Well, too bad, Togami~!" he sang before he flung an arm around my shoulders. "You're stuck with us, whether you like it or not!"

When Leon had flung his arm over my shoulders, his shirt collar moved slightly and I noticed something red on the side of his neck.

I squinted as I leaned in a bit closer to get a better look. Then, once I realized what it was, my eyes widened.

"Wait a second," I said, squinting again. "Is that... a hickey?"

Leon's eyes widened before his cheeks were tinted the slightest bit of pink.

"What? Lemme see!" Ishimaru said before he practically shoved me aside. He squinted too before his eyes widened. "Woah. That's a hickey, alright."

Naegi looked as well. "Wow. Who's it from?"

Leon jerked his neck away. "N-No one...! You guys know I don't have a girlfriend." he immediately said.

I raised my eyebrows and smirked. "Jumping the gun, aren't we, Leon? We never said anything about a girlfriend; just that you got a hickey from someone. So, whoever said it had to be from a girlfriend?" I said, and Leon's eyes widened even wider.

He turned from pink to red. "I-I...! I don't...! It's nothing, really! I don't have a girlfriend...!"

"Where'd you get that hickey, then?" Ishimaru asked.

Leon's eyes narrowed. "Who do you think you are? Here you guys are, firing questions at me all CSI-like, like I've got something to hide! Well, I don't! Okay? Okay! Besides, even if I did have something to hide, I don't have to tell you anything...!" he said all at once.

"He totally has a girlfriend," I heard Ishimaru whisper in Naegi's ear. "It's just a matter of finding out who it is..."

Naegi nodded. "Yep."

"What? What are you guys whisperin' about???" Leon was on high alert now; he obviously doesn't want his secret girlfriend--whoever she is--exposed.

Naegi shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing. I mean, you have no girlfriend, right? You keep saying you don't. So, why would you hide something like that from us, anyway? You wouldn't, would you?" he said.

Leon swallowed. "No. Definitely not..." he mumbled.

Naegi nodded again. "I thought so."

Ishimaru sighed. "Oh, Leon, why can't you be like Byakuya and be proud of having a girlfriend? I mean, look at Byakuya; he's been bragging non-stop now about his fun time with June!" he said, and my eyes widened and I'm sure I blushed.

"I-I am NOT bragging about it...!" I sputtered.

"Actually, you kind of have been." Leon said, agreeing with Ishimaru.

"I have not!" I protested. "In what way have I bragged about my sex with June (as amazing as it was)???"

"Well, just now when you said it was utterly amazing!" Leon said.

"I said amazing; there was no utterly anywhere in there!" I shot back.

"'Oh, hello, my name is Byakuya Togami and my sex with my girlfriend, June, is utterly amazing,'" Leon said in a weird voice, clearly trying to impersonate me, and failing. "'I am a virgin no more! Let's celebrate and let the entire world know I lost my virginity to a hot girl!'"

I rolled my eyes. "Grow up!" I snapped.

Leon shrugged and smirked. "Please. We all know you'd have no problem letting the entire universe know you got some."

"Uh huh, sure. Whatever you say, O Leon the Great...!" I said sarcastically.

There were a few seconds of awkward silence afterward as we walked.

Suddenly, Leon nudged a random guy that passed us, and the guy turned around slightly, still walking.

"Yo," Leon said, smiling. "Byakuya got laid--spread the word."

I felt heat creep up my cheeks. "SHUT UP." I hissed as the random guy just turned back around and kept walking, probably confused and weirded out.

Naegi and Ishimaru snorted, both trying and failing to keep their laughs to a minimum.

Naegi poked me with the end of his pencil as he and I sat in math class. "Psst...!"

I looked up from my work. "What is it, Naegi? Can't you see I'm trying to work here?" I asked.

Naegi rolled his eyes. "Please. Don't pretend you actually care about the work you're doing; we both know you don't." he said.

I nodded and sighed. "You're right--I'm probably doing it wrong, anyway," I said before I turned to him. "What is it, then?"

"I better not be the only one that's noticed that Leon has been acting strange lately." Naegi said, and I frowned.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

Leon has been acting strange lately, but I had thought nothing of it and assumed he was just being Leon and acting weird.

"I mean, whenever we bring up the topic of our love lives or our girlfriends, he acts all reluctant and distant, like he's hiding something from us and won't tell us what it is..." Naegi said.

"Is this about what happened this morning? Because, I have to admit, when we accused him of having a girlfriend, he immediately denied it and acted all weird..." I said.

Naegi nodded. "Exactly. It's been bothering me that Leon is possibly hiding something from us and won't tell us what it is... I mean, we're his friends, for God's sake! He knows he can trust us!"

"Definitely," I agreed. "So... why won't he tell us anything?"

Naegi shook his head. "I don't know." he mumbled.

"So, why aren't June and the others walking home with us today?" Naegi asked as he and I began to exit Hope's Peak and go home for the weekend.

"They're all staying late after school for some project or something like that." I explained, because that's what June told me.

"Oh." Naegi said as we kept walking.

Just as we were about to exit the school, we walked past one of the janitors' closets, like we always do.

And suddenly, I heard a sound.

Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle...

"Did you hear that?" I asked as I stopped walking. Naegi stopped along with me.

Naegi frowned. "Hear what?"

Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle...

"That," I said, pointing to the janitor's closet. "and it sounds like it's coming from in there..."

The sound repeated itself, but what was different was I heard another sound after it...

A sound that sounded an awful lot like... giggling?

"I hear it too," Naegi said as he took a step toward the closet. "I also heard giggling, I think."

I nodded. "Yes. And it is coming from the closet." I said before I approached the closet and put my hand on the doorknob.

Then, I turned it and pulled the door open to reveal the closet.

With two people inside it.

But not just any two people.

Naegi and I gaped at them. "Leon? Sayaka?"

Leon and Sayaka looked up at us and slowly slipped out of each others embrace.

Naegi and I had walked in on them in a... Ahem... lip lock moment.

Both Leon and Sayaka turned red.

"So this is what you've been hiding from us?" Naegi asked Leon. "You've been hooking up with Sayaka? That's all?"

Leon immediately shook his head. "No, I'm not hooking up with anybody! Sayaka's my...," He swallowed. "Sayaka's my... girlfriend..."

What?

Silence fell upon us for a few seconds before Naegi spoke up. "What? Sayaka's your girlfriend???" he said, obviously as surprised as I am.

Leon nodded. "Yep... We're caught, so there's really no reason to keep hiding or denying it anymore..." he said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

My eyes widened. "Seriously? How long has this been going on?" I questioned.

Sayaka blushed harder and looked down. "Um... Since the... Spring Fling..." she mumbled, and Naegi's eyes widened as well.

"But--what? How--what is happening???" Naegi said, utterly confused. I have to admit, I was too.

"Well... we've actually felt things for each other for awhile now, and after Darling practically ditched me and fooled around with other guys while she was my date to the Spring Fling, Sayaka was there for me, and... eventually we got to talking... and feelings came out... and we confessed... so here we are...!" Leon explained, still as red as a tomato.

"I suppose that makes sense...," I said. "But, why didn't you guys just tell us? Why keep it a secret for this long???"

"Well, Leon has trouble opening up to people and admitting his true feelings, so he was uncomfortable and reluctant to reveal that he wasn't just a playboy who didn't care... because he does care, he just wasn't very comfortable admitting it," Sayaka said. "So, I respected that and we agreed to keep our relationship a secret."

"How long were you planning on hiding this from us? When were you two gonna come out and tell us?" Naegi asked.

"When Leon felt comfortable; that's when." Sayaka said in response, and Leon nodded in agreement.

"And, actually, we were kind of talking about telling everyone today," he said, smiling. "So, this is fortune timing...!"

Naegi and I just blinked at them.

"Does this mean... we can tell the others...?" Naegi spoke up after a few seconds.

Leon nodded again, this time Sayaka nodded with him. "Yes," they both said together. "you can."
