SOLACE

"Alas. Ang sakit no'ng pagkakahampas mo!"

MALAKAS AKONG napadaing. My back feels like it's been lashed a thousand times. Ang sakit din kayang mahampas ang likod mo sa mga kahoy!

Tumayo ako at inilibot ang tingin sa paligid. Saan ba 'to? Umikot ako at nanlaki ang mata nang makita ang puno na hinati ko kanina sa dalawa. This is the Forest of something chuchu? Anong ginagawa ko dito?

Gano'n ba talaga kalakas ang hampas ni Alas?

Nanlaki ang mata ko nang biglang mawalan ng balanse. Something really strong slaps my side, making me fall down to the ground. I groaned in pain and glared at the assailant. The dragon!

The dragon roars and stomps its way towards me. Gumulong-gulong ako sa lupa para maiwasan ang bawat pagtapak niya. The dragon huffs, annoyed by my reflexes and speed. He stops for a bit and looks at the sky. Nagsusummon ata ng powers niya.

Pero- mabilis kong itinusok ang espada sa nakataas nitong paa. The sword pierces through the hard skin and the dragon lets out a piercing cry.

Lumayo ako mula sa kaniya at inihanda ang weapon. Shit, I can't possibly leave with this dragon on my tail? Hindi din ako pwedeng gumamit ng ibang daan dahil baka maligaw lamang ako.

I gripped my swors tighter. There's no other way but through this dragon then.

Inunahan ko na ito sa pag-atake. I jumped and slashed its wings. The dragon staggers to the side. Umikot muli ako at pinadaanan ng espada ang kabila niyang pakpak. I passed and slashed his sides and wings with lightning speed.

Umikot ang halimaw at iwinasiwas ang tail niya. I cursed when the tail catches me and slams me on a tree. The dragon's magnetic eyes falls on me and ember fire forms in his mouth.

Shit. Shit, Solace. Kailangan kong makalayo dito!

Patayo pa lamang ako nang ibuga ng dragon ang apoy. Malakas akong napamura sa init na hatid nito kahit malayo pa lang. The fire is huge and covers a large area. Kahit saan ako nito magpunta, tosta talaga ako.

The fire never came. A black creature steps in front of me and swallows it whole. Nalaglag ang panga ko dahil sa nangyari. Lalo na nang makitang parang wala lang iyon kay Nirvana.

"Sis!" napatingin ako kay River. "Are yoh alright?"

Binigyan ko siya ng isang thumbs-up.

"He got away from us. This damn monster-" he utters a curse. "Hoy, batang summoner! Nandito siya sa gubat!"

Kumunot ang noo ko. I bet he's talking to Voldmir. Nasaan naman kaya ang lalaking 'yon?

Dumating ang sagot makalipas ang ilang segundo. I heard the heavy flapping of wings, then a large three-headed dog lands gracelessly in the forest. Kahit si Voldmir na sakay-sakay nito ay nawalan ng balanse.

The dragon growls as its eyes falls on the two monsters.

"Use Periphas and get out of here, Ev!" sigaw ni River.

I nodded and called for Periphas. A large eagle swoops down and carries me up to the sky. The dragon roars and runs up to me, but is stopped by Cerberus and Nirvana. Iniwas ko ang tingin sa kanila. That's a battle of the monsters at tao lamng ako.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang makita ko na ang palasyo. Periphas flaps his wings faster. Ang isang side balcony ang naisipan nitong puntahan.

Periphas gives out a loud shriek all of a sudden. Napahawak ako ng mahigpit sa kaniya dahil ayokong malaglag. Ngunit sa naging posisyon ko ay nakita ko ang nangyayari sa ilalim. I squinted my eyes as I tried to focus on the ground. Are those...?

Oo nga! May mga tao sa ilalim na pilit inaatake si Periphas. Arrows fly out from their canon-like weapons and Periphas flaps around to avoid them. Malayo ang mga kasama namin sa kanila.

"Aslan!"

Napasigaw ako nang lumabas si Aslan mula sa pet dimension at nagpahulog. Periphas looks at the lion who stands gloriously at the ground. Inatake ni Aslan ang mga taong nasa baba. He lets out a loud roar which was answered my Periphas' shriek. Bago ko pa marealize kung ano ang nangyari ay mabilis akong inilipad ng eagle sa balcony.

Huge crows flies around to stop him. Vesta and Chaska tries to stop them from below, pero pinaslow down pa rin nito ang byahe namin ni Periphas. Then on a synchronized swoop by the crows, Periphas moves back and flaps his wings towards the incoming birds. Magkakasunod na malalakas na hangin ang namuo sa mga pakpak niya, at sapat ito para sandaling patigilin ang mga crows.

However, hindi lang iyon ang lahat. Dahil may mga sumunod pa rin sa'min habang palapit sa balcony. Periphas gains a faster speed, almost dizzying, and drops me off the balcony. Umikot siya para atakehin ang mga sumusunod na ibon.

My feet plants on the railings of the balcony. Naramdaman ko ang sandaling pagyanig nito. Dahil sa kaba at gulat ay naactivate ko ang malakas na puwersa ng espada. Golden flames hides the sunlight. My white hair flies as the wind passes by. Humihingal akong napatingin sa loob ng kwarto.

Ang una kong napansin ay si Hiraeth na nasa gilid at tinutulungan ni Hex. Ang sunod kong nakita ay si Feyre na akala mo ay nasa air gymnastics. And lastly, my eyes fall on Alas.

"Alas," I gritted out, anger bursting in my body and giving me enormous stregth. "Ang sakit no'ng pagkakahampas mo!"

Hanggang ngayon nararamdaman ko pa rin ang bawat paglapat ng likod ko sa mga puno na iyon!

Alas' eyes narrows at me. Isang pilit na ngiti ang ibinigay niya bago gumalaw. Nanlaki ang mata ko nang makitang papunta sa kay Hiraeth. Hiraeth quickly shields himself and pushes Hex away from him.

"Hiraeth!" sigaw ko at mabilis na tumakbo papunta sa kanila.

However, Alas disappears. I scanned the room for his presence but there was nothing. Nagulat kaming lahat nang makita siya sa likod ni Hex. Nakataas na ang kaniyang espada at ngumisi siya.

"Bye-bye, priest."

"Putangi- soro!" nagpapanic na sigaw ni Feyre.

The rogue throws her chain to Alas' direction. But her aim was oddly off that it passed through Alas sword. Sinubukan niya itong kunin pabalik ngunit hinwakan ni Alas ang kadena at hinigit. Inikot-ikot niya ito bago itinapon palayo, kaya naman nadala din nito si Feyre. She lands on the wall, making a large crack.

Hinatak ko si Hiraeth at pinapunta sa likuran ko. Naglakad ako papalapit kay Alas at kay Hex na nakayuko lamang. The king laughs and bring the sword down on my friend's neck.

A bright green light bursts out. Isang magic circle ang pumalibot sa buong kwarto at hindi nagtagal ay nahulog si Alas sa sahig at napapasigaw na sa sakit. Hex clicks his neck and looks at the man.

"Sorry, pero hindi lang akong simpleng priest."

The magic circle disappears. Nagulat ako nang maramdamang wala na ang sakit sa likod ko at mga galos. Even Hiraeth seemed fine and energized. Lalong lalo na si Feyre na tumatalon-talon na sa gilid.

"A healing magic for your friends and a counter magic for your enemies." Alas spits out blood. "Clever."

Ngumiti si Hex at napaupo sa sahig. "That's all I can do as a priest. Now, I'm useless. Wala na akong mana."

Feyre smiles. "Huwag kang mag-alala, soro, para sa ano pa at nandito ak-"

"Kuyaaaa!"

Napabaling kami kay Priamos na pumasok sa kwarto at naiiyak na. Napakaingay ng bawat pagtapak at paggalaw ng armor niya. He scoops up his brother and places him on his shoulder like a sack of rice.

"Nagulat ako do'n! Umalis na muna tayo dito!"

Muling umingay ang armor niya nang lumabas siya sa kwarto. Ngumiwi ako nang nagpakita si Minerva mula sa hallway. Nagpakita siya ng thumbs-up kay Feyre at nagfighting gesture sa'kin. Noong dumako kay Alas ang tingin niya ay iniba niya ang kamay at binigyan ang lalaki ng pakyu. Bigla siyang tumakbo paalis.

"Grabe, bakit parang pakiramdam ko nanakawan ako ngayon?" Feyre asks to herself. "Ako na dapat ang cat-in-shining-chains ni soro pero dumating pa ang boy armor na 'yon." suminghal siya. "Whatever."

"Is the cat okay?" tanong ni Hiraeth.

Tumango ako. "Nahiya lang 'yan kasi tinapon lang siya ni Alas sa kabilang banda ng kwarto. Effortlessly."

Feyre gives me her deadliest glare. Sorry na lang siya at immune na ako diyan.

Inilipat ko ang tingin kay Alas na ngayon ay parang nagiging okay na. His hateful eyes raises to us and he attacks us without hesitation.

Mabilis kong itinaas ang espada para icounter ang atake niya. I gritted my teeth at the overwhelming strength he possesses. When I lost my grip and staggers, Feyre quickly jumps down to kick the sword away with her chain-covered feet.

Paulit-ulit na nagpalitan kaming apat ng atake. It was Alas versus me, Feyre and Hiraeth. Ngunit wala masiyadong damage ang mga atake ni Hiraeth dahil sa nawawala ito kapag nakakalapit kay Alas. My weapon, gifted by the demon king, can pierce and kill the king. Si Feyre naman, kahit na si Alas ang may gawa ng weapon niya, ay nakakadamage pa rin. Because her weapon is uncanny. It's a combination of her main one and the one she stole from her old teammate.

That's why she's called The Thief. At dahil din sa unique attributes ng weapon niya ay malaki ang damage nito kay Alas.

Hiraeth occasionally makes blue shields for us when Alas gives a strong strike that makes us fly away. Ito ang nagpapalessen ng damage na nakukuha namin. We can't sacrifice any more of our health since Hex is out of mana and the other priests are situated far away from us.

"Feyre!" sigaw ko nang ihampas ni Alas ang espada niya sa katawan ng babae.

Feyre gasps in pain and she clashes towards the wall. Bumigay ang pader at nasira ito kaya napalabas ang rogue sa kastilyo.

Alas smiles. "You'll never defeat me. No matter how you try and do. I'll be the winner of it all."

Umiling ako. "No. I'm going to prove that wrong-"

Itinutok ko ang espada sa direksiyon niya. I made a vow to my friends. I will never break them.

"I'm going to try and try just to kill you."

"Well, then. Go ahead."

His sword glints and my sword burns. Together, they met in the middle of it all. The amount of power and strength we gave was all our wills, vows and dreams. When the swords clashed, when our dreams collided and battled, a heavy and bright light blinds the whole castle.

Golden and white shoots up to the sky. Naramdaman ko ang pagyanig ng buong kastilyo. Small stones startes to fly itself upwards and I could hear the glass wall breaking. Isang pagsabog ang narinig ko bago mawala ang lahat at matapon kami ni Alas mula sa isa't isa.

My eyes widened as I looked at the battlefield. The castle is now gone. It was destroyed to pieces by our all-out attack. Napatingin ako sa gilid at nakitang pinoprotektahan kami ni Hiraeth ng kaniyang blue shield.

Tumuwid ng tayo si Alas. Yumuko siya at agresibong gumagalaw ang kaniyang balikat. A loud and crazy laugh rings in the air.

Halos mawalan ako ng lakas nang i-angat ni Alas ang tingin. I could feel every bones in my body shaking in fear. His eyes are bloodshot wide and his mouth is stretched in an insanely wide smile. A white aura forms around him and his sword looks even sharper now.

"Let me see, Reverie." he hisses. "If you have the power to make this tale come true."
