It was a normal day for Wally Darling or it would be if he didn't have to make a choice in front of him were words that said "New Neighbor" or "Find Love" he had to make a Choice but what who loved him? I mean sure kids loved him but was it that kind of love that the choice meant? or was it the...."Other kind"? his heart skipped a beat as thoughts of his crush Jane Hamilton the owner of a theater Sally visits often came to mind he cared about Jane very much but then he thought for a moment

"Why can't I have both?" he thought looking at the two choices once more his half lidded eyes slowly adjusting to the glow the words gave off as he recently awoken from his slumber not even Home was awake yet 

Wally Darling's POV: I was still confused about  what was going on I had just woke up to use the bathroom when I saw these two floating words looking at my darkened yellow hands I took a deep breath and pushed both buttons at the same time a bright light covered me as I woke up in my bed

"Was it all a dream?" I thought to myself greeting Home with a good morning as they prepared my morning drink while Home did that I went to the bathroom to get changed and to do my morning routine: take a shower do my hair get dressed have breakfast do some painting exercise finish my morning drink and go outside for my walk around the neighborhood as I put on my shoes I saw Jane map in hand in a beautiful outfit making my face darken slightly I cleared my throat and walked next to her

"Oh golly! Good morning Wally! I'm afraid I'm lost yet again trying to find Howdy's" Jane said she's fairly new to the neighborhood and when I first saw her moving in next door to Home the moment I saw her I fell in love with her and I fell hard I offered to help her out and she nodded smiling her amber brown hair swayed gently in the soft spring breeze her amazing emerald green eyes and her beautiful smile makes her byond perfect

"I should invite her out to a picnic today" I thought as I opened the door to Howdy's for her causing her to smile I greeted Howdy with a good morning as I followed Jane helping her find some of the things she needs and some things I would need for the picnic and asked her all about the picnic she smiled happily causing my cheeks to heat up slightly I smiled to her and asked her if we could have a picnic she blushed slightly but nodded I smiled thanking her and helped payed for her and my stuff

"Thank you again Wally" Jane said smiling I told her it wasn't a big deal and I was just being a good neighbor I could feel my cheeks heating up again to me Jane was perfect and someone that needed to be protected I know she can protect herself but I can't help but worry for her she was a perfect being to me

"I wish I can tell her how I feel" I thought before feeling a tap on my shoulder I look to Jane who had a worried expression I must've zoned out I asked her if she was okay

"I should be asking ya that Wally" Jane said her accent coming out which made my heart beat faster than before I told her I was fine and that was just zoning out a bit she gave a "I'm not buying it" look which made her cuter than before I let out a soft chuckle and asked her where we could have our picnic she hummed in thought before answering

"How about the big apple tree?" Jane asked I smiled at the idea and nodded to Jane telling her that was a great idea and we walked to the large apple tree I put the picnic blanket down and opened the basket taking out two hot dogs and two waters and some candy for us I also packed some sandwiches for us to share as well as we ate I could hear something in the woods then a small figure fell from a bush their blond hair a tangled mess twigs and leaves in their hair as well their clothes faded and torn Jane quickly picked them up moving a lock of the blond hair out of their face that's when I noticed they were a child a young child in fact she was very thin I stood up I could feel a pit in my stomach grow larger than before I looked over the child there was dried blood on her clothes as well as holes on some parts of her shirt she had a type of shock collar on her neck which made my blood boil I told Jane we should take the child to her sister Maire who ran the hospital and is the best doctor here Jane nodded to me picking up the child and ran off

"Wow she's fast!" I thought as I quickly packed up the picnic and went to the hospital and saw Jane talking to her sister Marie

"And she's underweight as well as having signs of being abused both physically and....the other way" Marie said I was shocked she was deflowered?! and abused too?! My anger was at its peak as I asked Marie if she knew the kids parents were she shook her head I looked to Jane who had anger in her eyes I sighed and told Jane that the girl would be in my care Jane was surprised but smiled she smiled back to me as I went to check on the child she was holding a plush of me I smiled softly remembering the show we ran called "Welcome Home" and I was the main character as well so seeing something from so far back in the past made my heart flutter with joy I saw that she saw me and her eyes lit up

"Y-Your Wally Darling" She said her voice scratchy and horse most likely from little use I smiled and nodded to her getting on her level and asking her who her parents were

"They are called Jeffery and Michelle Moore" she said slightly scared then I got an idea I told her I was going to be her new guardian from now on and that she was never going to see them for a while until she was ready that made her smile wide and hugged me close 

"I promise I will keep you safe" I thought holding her close as she yawned quietly I told her to rest and that I would keep her safe she fell asleep in my arms I smiled softly as Marie gave me a rundown of what she was going through I felt my anger return but I kept calm and listened after that I laid her down on the bed and went to see Marie asking her when the girl would be able to leave

"She's going to be staying a few days for tests and other things like that" Marie said I nodded understanding as I went Home there he unlocked the door for me and saw I looked upset to everyone Home makes creaking noises and squeaky door sounds that kind of stuff I was the only one who can hear him speak 

"What is troubling you my friend?" Home asked I could tell he was worried I told him everything he seemed shocked I can't blame him after telling him the rest of the story he stayed quiet

"If she is staying with us I'll make a spare room that also will be her playroom" Home said I smiled thanking him and got ready for bed I hope the child will be okay I wonder though does Marie have someone in mind I did talk to her and she did tell me she think as Sally and Howdy as her best friends so I'm not so sure if she is looking for love right now but who knows
