Juniper finally felt free. She left that sick place and was now able to run away with Coriolanus.
But she had a gut feeling that something was off, she just couldn't wrap her head around.
The two had stopped for Coriolanus to make a walking stick out of stick he found, "You want one?" He asks picking them up.
Juniper paused in her tracks, "You killed three people?" She asked going over their conversation they had a few minutes ago.
She slowly turned around, scared to hear his answer. Coriolanus didn't look at her or start to speak.
"Who's the third?" She asks again.
"Sorry, what?" He asks trying to put together the walking stick.
"The person that you killed. You said that there was three people you killed, who was the last person?"
"Coriolanus. Do not lie to me." Her voice now angry with how he was avoiding the question.
"I-I'm not." He says focusing on the stick.
"Coryo." June spoke, as she began to loose her temper once more.
"You said that you killed two people. And I only know about Mayfair and Billy. So who's the third person you killed?"
June waited for him to react as she stared intently into his pale eyes, but gave nothing away.
All she wished for was for him was the whole truth. So what was holding him back?
Coriolanus diverted his gaze and stooped to seize a delicate flower behind her ear, trying to distract her.
The two locked eyes for a second as he began to answer her question, "My old self."
"I killed him so I was able to leave with you."
Even though he sounded so sincere, something was holding Junioer back from believing him.

The pair made it to the small cabin safely, as it began to rain, them making it back in time.
As the two arrived Juniper noticed how Coriolanus's attitude changed, before when they were back at District 12 he was much more calmer.
But here, he had changed, something had snapped.
Coriolanus crept over a trunk and opened it — revealing the gun he used to kill Mayfair and Billy.
"Is that...?" June peeped her hair over his shoulder and asked not wanting to finish her sentence.
"It's the gun, yeah. Spruce must if kept it here for us to destroy." Coriolanus admires the weapon.
"Us? No, your responsible for that." June spits making sure that she wasn't apart of this mess.
It scared Juniper to see how intrigued Coriolanus looked at the gun, how this man had been staring at it.
"I'm gonna go and pick out some Katniss." June speaks up as she puts her jacket. She opens the door to rain still pouring down.
Coriolanus turns his head around, "But June," He calls out to her, "it's still raining?"
"Well, I'm not made of sugar."
She flashes a smile before exiting the cabin and leaving into woods.
She was going over in her head if she should leave him or stay.
The girl walked along the ground as she looked up at the trees, the rain fell on her face lightly.
Gazing at the door she had been standing, Coriolanus remained within the empty cabin.
Before going to pick up the other gun, he took a quick look at the one he was already carrying. Once Coriolanus opened the door, the rain had went away.
Coriolanus left to get rid of the rifles by dumping them into the lake, hoping that they wouldn't be found.
Just as Coriolanus could even get into the boat, he crooked his head over to where Juniper was supposedly retrieving the Katniss.
But — she was no where to be seen.
"June?" Coriolanus called out tilting his head to see if she was near the area still. "Juniper?" He calls out again standing up.
He slowly walks towards the woods, "Juniper, where are you?" Coriolanus shouts while looking around the tall trees. "Hello?"
"Hey did something happen, because if something happened we can talk about!"
The more he yelled the more the silence came and June was no where to be seen.
"Are you hiding from me?" He spins around and yells into the trees, causing a few birds to fly away.
As Coriolanus walks by he spots Junipers jacket. He slowly approaches it and lifts it up but was surprised by a snake.
The snake hissed as it bites him, making him scream even more than before.
He punches the muddy ground as he groans at the pain of the bite. "Is that poisonous?" He laughs as he lifts his arm up revealing the hole.
"Are you trying to kill me?" He yells out again, "Juniper?"
"Juniper! I said are you trying to kill me?" Coriolanus had never acted like this before and it scared June when he finally snapped.
Juniper hid behind a tree, her hand covering her mouth stopping her from making a sound and a tear slowly falling down her cheek.
"After everything I've done for you!"
She flinched at the sound of his yelling.
She watched as Coriolanus started to cry and fall to his knees once again. June began to wipe her tears away as quick as she could.
June crept over to gather the flowers but as she did a noise broke her silence. Coriolanus's head snapped at the sound as he looked over to where she stood.
Coriolanus grabbed a hold of his gun and held it up, walking slowly turning in a circle. The rain began to fall again as came closer.
"Juniper, is that you?" Coriolanus asked still holding the rifle up. June took a deep breath before she made a decision.
It was now or never...
Juniper ran, faster than ever. She ran so fast that she escaped her thoughts. Her mind was blank and she didn't know what to do.
"Juniper?" Coriolanus furiously rages as he follows her shadow, holding up the rifle ready to shoot her.
Coriolanus Snow ran but the songbird ran much faster.
As she ran she had caught her dress of a branch, "Shit!" She cursed as she tried to rip the piece of her dress off.
She already knew Coriolanus was close and would soon catch up to her if she didn't start running, "C'mon!" She pulled again.
June ripped one more time and was finally released, she fell to ground as she pulled the fabric away. As she did she didn't realise but she had dropped her pin — the pin Coriolanus gifted her.
She hadn't noticed or she couldn't bring herself to keep it. "Juniper!" Coriolanus cried out again running towards her.
June stood up as soon as she could, as made a run towards the trees in front of her, escaping Coriolanus's sight.
She was free. Juniper Wildsong was free from Coriolanus Snow's evil empire.
She indeed was strongest, she had won this twisted game.
