Chapter 5
Chapter 5
I looked for Giannis and Viana and they were nowhere to be found. I needed to get out of this place as soon as possible, but even though I could, he knew where to find me. I stayed in an area where there wasn't much crowd and will kept me out of everyone's eyes.
I raised my hand to get the attention of a server. When his head shifted on me and got close to me. He asked what I wanted. When I told him I wanted some margarita, he quickly asked me how I would pay for it because he noticed that my hands were on my back and that I couldn't move them.
"If you want to order some drinks, you may get them to the counter," he told me and then turned around leaving me alone on my spot.
I was left dumbfounded by what he did. I shouted, getting his attention back, but he wasn't looking back at me. He was so rude to leave me like this. Where was his customer service? I could report him to his boss, but the thing is, I couldn't get to his boss as I was running away from him. I don't want to get into his face anymore.
"You know what, I really love hanging out with you. We should do this more often. . ." When I heard that voice out of nowhere, I quickly turned my head just to see who was it. As soon as I saw her. my eyes widened as I was surprised to see her at this moment with someone else. "What do you think we should do tonight? I think something fun, right?" She giggled.
The man winked at her as if that would already lead to something. At that point, I had to intervene. I called her out and she was so surprised she saw me that I felt like she didn't want to see me at this hour. As I got to her and instantly turned around to show her that my hands were in a handcuff, she gasped finding out about it.
"Sis? What happened?" she questioned, trying to take the handcuff off my pulling it from my hand, but it just hurt my wrist.
"Don't do that!" I shouted. "They don't have the key to it so this needed to be pulled out from me, but this would hurt me. I just want to get out of this place and get back to my apartment. Can we just go now, please?"
"Wait! Where's Giannis?"
"I don't know. . . Can you look for him for me?" I asked.
"Sure. . . But I'm with, uhm. . ." she said, pointing to the man next to her.
"Maybe I can help you take that off and Vaia, you should go look for your friend," he suggested.
"I think that would be great," I said, agreeing with him. "Come on, Vaia. Look for him."
She was a little disappointed and annoyed at how I told her to do that. As she couldn't resist me, she left us and went to find Giannis somewhere. When we were alone, this man escorted me to a spot where it was brighter so he could check how he could remove the handcuff from me.
"Who are you, again?" I asked.
"Argus," he said. "My name's Argus."
"Okay, Argus. Nice to meet you. Would you be able to get this handcuff off mine?"
He scratched the side of his face as if he was thinking of some ways to do it, but I already felt like he had no plan. He then started suggesting if we could get my hands wet or get it slimy, he could pull it away from me. But there was no soap around. He went to get some glass of water and pour it on my hands, but it didn't work, it just hurt my wrist.
My shoulder dropped as I realized it would be hopeless for me to get this handcuff off of me. There were a lot of things that happened tonight and I just want this night to end on a good note. As Argus doesn't seem to have a plan anymore, we sit on the stool and wait for Vaia to come back with Giannis.
"May I ask how did you end up getting those handcuffs? Was it a kink or—"
"Oh, no, no!" I quickly responded, defending myself that what he was thinking wasn't the thing that had happened to me. "It wasn't a kink or anything. I didn't have sex with anyone. This was a mistake. They played on me and they haven't got the keys for it. They were so cruel. I hated them."
"If we could find a pliers then we could take it off."
"I don't know where to find one," I answered, rolling my eyes. "Maybe I should just get my hands cut off so I could finally move on from it."
"I don't think that would be a good idea. . ."
"What do you want me to do? Live like this forever?"
He shook his head. "No. . . Just like what I said, some tools could break that apart. If your friend will get here soon then you might take it off sooner. Actually, Vaia is a very beautiful person. I'm glad I met her."
My brow raised as he brought her up to the conversation. "Oh, yeah? Tell me how you met her?"
He smirked, putting his hand on his lips, possibly remembering how it all happened. "Well, the funny thing is, we accidentally met and we wouldn't get along from our first conversation, but we clicked. And you know what happened next."
I raised my hand to stop him. "Oh, please. Don't tell me anything about it. I don't want to hear it. Let's just keep it that way. Now, what's your intention for my best friend? Do you intend to love her or do you just want to fuck her?"
"Bold to ask, but I don't know yet," he answered. "But she seemed so genuine about what we were having. Before you came to us earlier, we were talking about what we would do in the future—"
I cut him off. "I don't think that was what I've heard."
"Well, you heard wrong. You might not trust me today, but I think your friend is such a lovely girl. I would want someone like her for the rest of my life." I didn't give any comment to his statement as I believed whatever the man would say in the first meeting. He could be lying to me. I should look out for Vaia if that was the case, but not this time, I needed to get out of this place first. "Oh, there they are."
I was excited and somehow my mood uplifted when Argus announced seeing them back. When I looked at who she was with, my shoulders dropped, and rolled my eyes. I wasn't expecting Vaia to come back with Konstantin. I didn't run when I could. I stayed until they got closer to us.
The smirk on his face grew so proud that if I could punch his face without any repercussions, I would do it in an instant. I saw Vaia's face and she knew I would be so mad by bringing the last person I would want to see again.
She went to me and held my hand.
"I'm sorry! I didn't know what to do. I was looking for Giannis, but this man found me first. I didn't even know he knew me, but he just asked if I knew where you were, I should bring him to you, or else I would get banned from this resort and I don't want to get banned from this resort! I would never want that. I'm sorry."
I groaned."As if I still have a choice?"
"I'm sorry. . ." she mouthed.
"We'll talk once we get back home."
"I don't think you will get back soon, Miss Aramouni," Konstantin said. "Your good friend here wouldn't be banned anymore, thanks for bringing me to you. Don't run away again, you don't want to get the consequences if you do."
"What do you really want from me?" I asked him angrily. I was just trying to instill my temper, but he if knew that I could kick his balls right now, I would. He would probably be crouching on the sand right now. That would be a fun sight to see.
"Because you stole from me, you might want something that you could be dreaming about."
My brow raised as that triggered my curiosity. "And what is it? Make sure it was good because I wouldn't take any cheap stuff from you."
"Wait. . . Did you really steal from him?" Argus asked, wondering if his accusation of me was true.
"It's true, Argus. Can you please shut up for now? I have to deal something with this arrogant man."
"Oh, I'm arrogant?" he questioned, smirking. "I don't think I was arrogant. Maybe that was what you think. I don't think I am."
"Don't stall on me, anymore. Just tell me what you want. I don't need to hear all these cheeky words from you. I hate it."
He laughed. "Well, before that, I think there was one thing you wanted from me." He then showed me his hand and pointed at his wrist. "I've got the key to that handcuff and you can only take it off if you would come with me."
"What's the catch?"
"You'll get your hands free."
"No, what's the catch?"
"Are we fishing?" he countered back the question. "Do you want it or not?"
I let out a sharp sigh, rolling my eyes. "Okay, fine. I'll do it. Whatever you want. Just don't call the police on me again."
"Franklin wasn't a real cop," he explained, chuckling.
"I know that because I remember him that night I got away from you," I smirked, showing him how proud I was from getting away from him that night.
He didn't say a word but just made me follow him to the main building. Vaia and Argus said they would see me later there as they've got a business to attend to. When I was walking away, following Konstantin, and thinking about what they said just clicked in my mind, and I realized what they were talking about. I knew they would be fucking. Argus even tried lying and hiding it from me. No one could lie in my face.
As I followed Konstantin, I grabbed him by his shoulder and made him stop to look at me. He turned around and looked at me.
"What? We're not at the office yet," he said.
"What happened earlier. . . Was it your father? What did you, huh? Why does he seem to be so mad at you?"
He shook his head and turned his back again on me. "Don't ask any question anymore. Follow me and you'll get what you want."
"If you're someone who was just trying to go after your father's wealth, you can't get me on board with it. If you want to rot in jail, then do it. I've got nothing to lose though. I've got no family who cares about me. My rent is due in the next few days and if I didn't pay it on time, my stuff would be thrown out so there you. I just told you half of my life. I don't think I would benefit your good-luxury life in some way."
He smirked. "You don't know what you were talking about. I'm not after any wealth of my father. I also don't want to see you rot in jail even though it would be fun to see you there struggle and cry out for help. What do you think?"
"What do I think?"
I cocked my brow. "I think you're crazy."
He smirked, shaking his head, and continued walking back to the main building. I could've just run away again and forgotten about him, but I knew he wouldn't stop coming after me, so might as well get on board with what he wanted even if it would cost me a lot of things. I've got used to it. Always has been.
