Chapter 18

Chapter 18

I woke up after a few hours we took off from Mykonos. I only intended to go to the lavatory, but when I came back to my seat, I found Konstantin sitting there next to me. I only let it go because I have no energy to talk to him and for him to let it go. I was just so tired, I didn't want to argue with him.

As I went back to my seat, before I put the blanket on mine, I drank what was left of my wine glass and drank everything. I put the glass down and position myself to the window side where I don't have to see Konstantin's face. I thought he would let it go, but Konstantin started playing on a loud volume on the screen. I tried not to mind it because I knew he was just trying to get my attention and annoy me which was working. I just don't want to let him see it for his satisfaction.

But not only he kept doing it, he also kept on saying shitty comments about the show he was watching. At that moment, I was battling my thoughts about whether I should confront him or turn off the portable screen he had because, for a fact he had one on his original seat, this is where he started messing with me.

"Could you please lower down the volume?" I asked, but I haven't looked at him. I hadn't even opened my eyes so I could continue sleeping. But I guess, Konstantin was such a hard-headed guy I couldn't get to make him do it. "I said please, Konstantin!"

I removed the blanket on top of me and faced him with so much anger. He looked at me, raising a brow as if I was making a scene here. I tried not to because it was embarrassing as this was an enclosed space and the flight crew could hear us fight. They might not buy that we were just faking our relationship.

I pinched him on his side and he reacted furiously. "What are you doing? Why would you do that?"

"That's for ruining my space. You should go back to your chair and watch from there. Just give me some privacy and you'll be fine. If you don't move, I'll pinch you once again."

"I'm not moving away," he said, not budging. "This is a Galluccio's plane. I could sit wherever I want to sit."

When he said that, I knew I couldn't fight that off so I had to think of a second plan. He didn't mind getting off with a loud volume on the screen so I thought I should just move and that would be so much easy for me. I hastily left my sit which he quickly noticed. I went to his original seat and there I put on my eye cover so I could go back to sleep. I don't know how long before we could land in the Philippines, but I can't wait. This was my first time on a private plane, but I couldn't be more excited to get off this plane quickly.

But of course, who would get some peace when you're on the same plane with a Galluccio?

I heard and felt him sitting next to the chair and when I took my eye cover off my eyes, he was smiling at me and I hated it. I rolled my eyes at him.

"What are you doing?" I asked, but he shrugged his shoulder. "I knew we couldn't do many things while we were here, but you don't have to bug me off. You can have some peace and I'll have mine. I thought we had agreed to that, huh?"

"I'm bored, Miss Aramouni. Are you going to be like this throughout our flight or even in the Philippines?"

"You tell me," I smirked. "If you would mind other's people business then I think you'll be fine. I can be a bitch, Konstantin, but not your bitch."

He let out a subtle laugh, but it was annoying as if it should make me mad even more. "Not sure where you were getting all this stuff, but sure, do what you want and all. I just want to talk to you, but I guess, you're someone who couldn't be serious in life. Oh, I forgot, you're not even serious in life. . . Do you even have a life?"

"You're talking to me now so obviously I have one. I am alive."

"Can't get any more fun, Miss Aramouni?" he said, grinning.

"What's with the smile? You're like a serial killer. If I didn't know and you were smiling like that, I would be running away."

"You already ran away from me," he said. "But I caught you, remember? You can't get away from me unless you fly to another country and hide from me. It might take me some time to search for you, but I have my ways. Trust me, Miss Aramouni. You can't get away from me now."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "I don't know what you really want from me, but I can't wait to go back to Mykonos and end this trip."

"We haven't landed in the Philippines yet."

"Right. I wanted to go back as soon as possible."

He smirked. "Well, you wished, but you're stuck with me so you have to bear with me."

I let out a sharp sigh and let it go. I was about to get off his original seat and go back to my, but he grabbed my arm so I wasn't able to do so. I sat my ass back down on my chair. When the flight crew came to us offering some food to eat, I quickly requested mine. Konstantin got a different order. I didn't make any comment about it, so when the flight crew came back to us to serve our meals, I indulged myself in it trying not to put my attention to the person sitting next to me.

I was having a good time eating my second meal on the flight, and when the pilot announced we were still a thousand miles away from the Philippines and probably more than five hours left. I would be the happiest person on earth when we landed in the Philippines. While I was in the middle of my food, there was a fork coming to my food meal and pierced it through in one of the meats on my plate. I held his hand before he could even get it back.

"What are you doing? Why are you trying to take my food away? Don't you have yours?"

"Yes, I have," he said. "But I don't like it. . ." the flight crew must have heard his comment and she came back asking him if she could get him some other food, but he shook his head. He put his attention back to me. "I just want to try yours first so I would know if I should get it."

"You won't like it. I'm taking it back. Eat yours and leave my food alone."

I took the meat off of his fork back to my plate and let go of his hand. I continued eating, but when I looked at him, he wasn't even touching his food so I finally gave up and gave him a slice of the meat. I put it on his plate, but he wasn't touching it.

"Feed it to me," he said. "Straight to my mouth."

I rolled my eyes. I stick the meat to the fork and put it in his mouth. As soon as he ate it, he chewed it and nodded his head as if he was criticizing the taste of it. After a while, he called a flight crew to give him the same food I ordered. When the flight crew came back with the meal, he started eating them and somehow, he stopped bothering me. Well, at least for a few minutes because he continued bugging me when he finished it off.

"Are you happy now? Have you got what you want, huh?"

He smirked, shaking his head. "I haven't gotten what I want, but sure, I'm happy and kind of full now."

I squinted my eyes. "You know what, I'm really trying to figure out what was your personality and all, and who you really are, but I guess, I already had my answer."

"And what was that?"

I shook my head, avoiding his stares. "You don't have to know it. You don't have to know everything. . . Well, just saying."

"You imposed it. Say it."

I faced him and showed him how I zipped my mouth as if I was shutting them. I stood on my ground and didn't say a word right after even though he didn't stop talking to me. He could be the next talk show host who never stopped talking. I tried to resist the pain of listening to his sexist comments and whatever shitty things he had to say to every single thing, it was more exhausting than the fifteen-hour flight to the Philippines. Good thing we knew that after a few hours, we were finally landing.

I strapped myself with the seatbelt while listening to the captain's announcement. When I looked at Konstantin, I noticed how his aura changed. I didn't ask why because I'd been listening to him for hours and I didn't want to hear his voice again. I hope when I get back to Mykonos, I won't get to see him again.

We waited a few moments for the plane to land safely and as soon as we landed, I felt so much relieved in my chest. I was about to get off my seat, but the flight crew told me to sit back until they announced it was safe enough to stand. I looked at Konstantin and he was just laughing at me. I smack him on his shoulder, but he didn't stop so I let it go.

Once the plane stopped and they announced it was all good, I removed the seatbelt and got off. Before we boarded off the plane, Konstatin and I met with the pilots. He was just thanking them for flying us safely to our destination. We would be flying with them again when we headed back to Mykonos, so while we were doing our thing here in the Philippines, they would be doing some things on their own as well. I don't know what would that be, but it could be more fun than hanging out with a Galluccio.

As we stepped out of the plane, I spread my arms widely and took a deep breath as I felt like I got to be free from the hell I'd been through. I didn't look back to see Konstantin's face, but I heard him smirk and all. I headed down the platform and there we were instructed to go into the bus where it would take us inside the building. I walked inside first and then Konstantin was just right behind me. It didn't take us long when we reached the entrance and there we just waited for our bags to be collected.

When we were heading out of the arrival area, Konstantin said there should be a few people waiting for us to pick us up. He wasn't kidding when there were a few men in a black tuxedo waiting for us. It was like it was a movie. People were looking at us as if we were celebrities but didn't make any frantic move, but only watched us until we finally left the airport and a car was waiting for us outside.

Konstantin opened the door for me which I thought he wouldn't do for me, but when I figured out that his fake girlfriend show kind of thing had started, I knew I had to play along. It wouldn't be hard for me. But I knew it would only take some time until they figured out we weren't together. It was an act. Something that won't really happen in real life. Not even a chance for me. Hell no.
