Week 5 (CLOSED)

I'm sorry yet again for updating so late.
Right so let's move on to the point
aka the next line
One of the main reasons we were inspired to start this writing competition was because there were so many topics that no one talked about in this golden age of content, so many books, so many words, so many hearts spilled out on pages yet we rarely ever come across the content that slits your heart with a machete, that makes you figuratively bleed and literally cry; the type that forces you to dwell over the words on the book, to feel the inability to move on from what happened in the book, to realise you went through all of the struggle in the book virtually.
I apologise if you don't agree with my opinion here but for so long I've felt like all tragedies have been romanticised, to me content is not the kind of love that's all about lust. To me love is to feel the pain in someone else's sadness, LoVe is respect, LoVe is hurting and love is healing. Love is you, yourself. Accepting yourself. Being yourself. Taking care of that little being inhabiting this precious body of yours.
Content is everything people write about and everything they don't. But the kind of content that holds the most substance is the one that talks about the actual issues and problems. It's love you have for yourself or anyone else out there ie. community, people etc that makes you write on their behalf. To raise your voice to get them justice. Be it racism or mental health issues to me it's like making your reader fall in love with the idea. (Romance with the idea)
(at this point I have no idea what I'm talking about.)
Alaska might get pissed if I keep on talking this shit. So let's get to the point.

THE PROMPT

Raise your voice for the ones who have noone by their side, their voices have been snatched, their soul which are rusting, their eyes which are burning with all those tears. Write a story about loving the unloved (not on boyfriends or girlfriends)

This prompt is different why? Because the previous one was what love means to you

Your story can be about people who are discouraged for color. Or you can write about a highschool kid who is a victim of bullying and self harm.

Suicidal themes are okay.

However, our main aim is to show how much everyone matters.
ALSO I REALLY WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT YOU'RE AMAZING, YOU'RE DOING GREAT. JUST HANG ON. THINGS WILL TURN OUT TO BE GREAT. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU'RE LOVED. IF ANYONE EVER NEEDS TO TALK WERE ALWAYS HERE. ❤

All the love,
Atlas&Alaska
