Prologue

There's this movie I watched once, don't laugh, Twilight. The kind of thing you only admit to seeing under duress or in the middle of a painfully slow night. The girl in it, Bella Swan, starts with this line about how she never thought much about dying, but if she had, it wouldn't have been for something so noble. It's cheesy, sure. But sometimes, I catch myself thinking about that line.

Not because I'm like her. I'm not staring into the eyes of eternal love or whatever that was supposed to be. But dying? That part sticks with you. It's not the kind of thing most people plan for, but me? I think about it more often than I should. Not in the poetic, tragic way Bella does, either. More like... when it happens, will it matter? Will I matter?

That's the thing, though, isn't it? Dying for someone, dying because of someone... it's all the same in the end. But if I had to choose? I'd want it to mean something. To be something more than just another body left behind. Maybe that's why her line never felt cheesy to me. Maybe it was a warning.

Or maybe it was just a movie. Either way, I can't stop thinking about it.

Suburban Neighborhood:

This incident took place after his early routine, when Y/N L/N was in the middle of beginning his walk out of school. He doesn't take a vehicle, at least not at the moment. Maybe he should start picking it up, because the avoiding traffic every single time is starting to become a pain and not worth the cardio. He says goodbye to his friends as he eventually turns the corner that separates him from them, they are inseparable, always there for each other, especially Ethan, who's heart of gold was way too big for even his own good.

The cool air gave a nice breeze that almost blocked out the heat of the sun, it wasn't overly chilly too, which helped. Now he just had to head home, hoping that his mom is choosing some of the good-good for dinner. You know, part of him wondered how he got to be one of the lucky ones that had the less amount of problems the characters in those movies and shows have, the life he was in felt too perfect. But he knows that the longer he thinks that, the more he's gonna jinx it.  After having that thought, he gets a ringing from his cellphone, and ironically, it turns out to be from mommy herself. Obviously, he answers it. "Hello?"

"Hey, honey, could you do me a favor and help your dad with the cooking?" His mother requests, to which Y/N raises a brow. "It's Uncle Freddy again, you know what happens when he... gets a little carried away, I have to help your aunt get him out of hospital, so-"

"Right, right." Y/N quickly replies with an understanding nod. He's not as innocent as his mother seems to think of him. He knows exactly what kind of places Uncle Freddy hits way too often. No, he hasn't hurt anyone, but that doesn't mean that his choices lead to expected consequences. "Yeah, of course, I'll handle it."

"Great, awesome, thank you, I appreciate it." His mother expresses with what sounds like a very happen tone, which makes Y/N sheepishly smile. As he continues walking however, he notices something odd, he sees Will, the preppy kid that goes to the same school as him, having a really tense-looking conversation with a girl he also recognizes from the cheerleading team. Something about their body language screams them the wrong way. "Oh, and make sure to remind your father to use the proper seasoning, he always forgets that part."

"Uh...." Y/N fails to respond properly, still eyeing the couple that is now clearly arguing about something in front of the two buildings they are in-between. At some point, it starts getting physical as Will grabs the girl's wrist out of anger. She quickly pulls away and even slaps him, which clearly makes things worse as she is then forcefully taken by Will into the entrance to the woods that they are right next to. "Uh, y-y-yeah, will do."

"Y/N? What's wrong?

"Nothing, just, um..." Y/N blinks, still not liking the sight of that. He decides that now is a pretty good time to play the part of eavesdropping onto a seemingly private conversation. "I gotta go do what I do best, I'll be home soon, love you."

"Honey-"

Y/N hangs up before his mother can ask the same question with different phrasing. He continues stalking into the woods where he re-spots the two again fairly easily. However, the situation's even worse that he thought. The girl is now being seemingly pinned to a rock, Will's grip on her wrists being way too much for her to fight back against. The sign of what is about to happen here is very sickening, yet clear, he needs to act fast.

"P-P-Please, I don't want to." The girl pleads for her dignity as Will stands above her. Y/N swallows as he feels like he needs to watch the scenario for a few more seconds before moving, still needing to scrounge of the bravery to step it.

"We're going home, so stop screwing around and I'll let you go." Will demands as he easily pushes the girl back down every time she tries to resist, it's a sad sight.

"S-Stop! I'll call the cops!"

"The cops? Seriously? My dad is the damn cops, stop trying to use that card."

"Please..."

Okay, enough is enough.

"Hey, what's going on here?" Y/N loudly interrogates as he finally marches over and makes his appearance known, causing Will to let out a very audible groan as he slowly turns around and sees the golden boy of River High being in the woods with the two of them. The third party's sure the rich kid knows that this isn't a good look for him.

"Great, see what you did?" Will criticizes the girl with an angry point towards Y/N before turning back towards him. "We're fine, man, you don't have to stick around. We're just trying to get home." He 'explains' to him. Although it's true that this pathway leads to the neighborhood that Will lives in, Y/N doesn't really think it's going to be a 'calm walk'.

Liar....

"You sure about that?" Y/N asks with a raised brow, trying to see if Will's temper really is as low as he suspects right now. Looking a bit closer at his face, the kid sees that he's also a little under the influence, which makes sense as to why he wasn't around during third and fourth period. When you have big parents, you overestimate your educational chances.

"Yes, I'm sure." Will answers with a not-so-subtle glare. "Now go." He demands as he points towards the way Y/N came from.

Piece of garbage....

"Yeah, I don't really think I'm gonna do that." Y/N tells the bully with a twisted lip, making his stance very clear that he isn't going unless it's with the girl or Will walks away himself. The rich kid obviously doesn't look to that response too well. "Look, the both of us don't want any trouble so-"

"Trouble found you, smug boy!" Will cuts Y/N off with a mean shove, now finally showing his true colors as he gets all up in the kid's face just so he can push him again. "So, listen, man, how about you just turn around, walk away...... and nobody will remember that this ever happened."  He proposes with a smirk that seems ironical very smug, himself.

Bash his face in, tear him apart!

Y/N tilts his head, taking am minute into thinking that deal over. before rolling his eyes as he then begins to turn around. No, he can't let those thoughts win.

"Wait, no!" The girl then cries out when she realizes that he's leaving. "Please, don't, this douche bag always hits me and-"

"Shut up, bitch!" Will snaps as he twists his head towards his girlfriend. "I told you to keep your mouth shut-"

However, right after he let out that swear word, Y/N immediately turns back around and headbutts Will right in the kisser the second he turns to face him. The bully lets out a squeal as he falls to the ground, grabbing at his face. The scared girl looks over and see Y/N's eyes changing shape for a few seconds, as if being possessed by something, before shrinking back to normal. As Will drops his hands to his chest, they eventually get to see that the douchebag's nose is bleeding. "Argh! You son of a.... you broke my-"

"Hey!"

A loud, demanding voice then calls out towards all of them, prompting everyone to turn and see a police officer approaching the three of them, apparently having heard some of the shouting from somewhere. Or maybe, someone called about the situation before Y/N even noticed. "You kids, alright?" He asks inquisitively as he puts his hands to his hips, easily noticing the tense aura between all of them.

"What's going on here?"

Nancy Reagan High School: Morning

This other incident took place at a slightly earlier time, but the events leading up to it will probably strike you as similar, though in a bit more comedic manner. As she passes by the head of the woman that this campus was named after, Wednesday Addam's shoes let out this echoing stomp at the heel as she peregrinates down the hallway, as if alerting every single 'normal' human being in the area that she's nearby. Unlike with Y/N, her presence makes everyone step back as far as possible, giving her a massive circle that she'd cut the toes off of anyone that dared walk inside of it.

As she walks, she passes by numerous familiar faces. The group of females who give her weird looks the second she enters their field of vision, the teachers who eye her observantly as if waiting for her to do something that will get them a paycheck that supports them. And the jocks laughing and hooting like they own the school. She's not sure whose twisted idea it was to put hundreds of adolescents in underfunded schools run by people whose dreams were crushed years ago, but she can't help but admire the sadism.

As she approaches her locker, she immediately notices a feint sobbing coming from it, as well as insulting graffiti left by many of her 'admirers' throughout the entire term. She appreciates the effort put it by her fellow classmates that allow her to identify it quicker than everyone else. She opens it without needing to put in the code, and finds her brother, Pugsley Addams, horribly tied up and gagged with an apple. He falls to the floor with a soft thud, gagging on the fruit.

The girl kneels down and instantly takes out the apple which leaves Pugsley's mouth with a crunch. "I want names." Wednesday interrogates with a demanding tone. Her skin may be pale, and her clothes are pure black, but her eyes are evidently burning red.

"I don't know who they were, honest." Pugsley answers her in a pathetic manner that tells her that he's blatantly lying because he knows the many things she'll do once she figures it out. That's how she got expelled fourteen times so far and he's been forced to move schools along with her. "It happened so fast..."

"Pugsley, emotion equals weakness." Wednesday scolds as she gets to work untying the ropes that even her brother would've broken out of by now if he wasn't focused on his humiliation, hence her point. "Pull yourself together...." She orders, to which Pugsley whimpers. "Now."

With the ropes gone, she then pulls him up.

Which is when her shoots upwards.....

The Jocks quickly grab Pugsley and bound his wrists and ankles separate pieces of rope, messing with his hair and face as he beggingly pulls away.

"You scared kid, you scared?" The leader of the posse, Dalton, jeers as they then stuff him in Wednesday's locker and forces him to bite onto an apple for shutting it closed.

They walk away, high-fiving laughing their socks off.

Wednesday's head falls back down, her hair now slightly ruined as the shock from the image of what happened affected her physical form like it always does.

"You okay?" Pugsley asks as she looks up at her, obviously seeing the way she just jolted up and now looks like she just got a sudden 2-second long heart attack. It's not the first time it's happened, but she's not going to confess to her bother that she's recently been plagued by visions. They come on without warning, and feel like electroshock therapy, but without the satisfying after-burn.

However, that aside, she's now got the face she was looking for. She remembers passing by those jocks earlier, and recognizes all of their faces, but the one she really needs to enact her revenge on is the captain, Dalton. "Leave this to me." Wednesday instructs as she stands up to go plot, knowing that he'll be able to get the rest of the rope off on his own.

"Wednesday?" Pugsley calls out to her before she heads off, though. "What are you going to do?" He asks with a worried look, and judging by the mischievous stare Wednesday gives him, his worries are about to come true.

"What I do best."

A couple hours/periods later or so, Wednesday walks up the stairs and enters the school's massive pool. The ideal practice ground for the sport of water polo, something she's convinced was invented to weed out the week, something she would admire if the players in it weren't predictable vermin that she must now put into place.

"Yo, Dalton, look!" One of the players taps on the gang leaders' shoulder and points over, getting the attention of everyone else as well as they all turn to Wednesday who steps towards the edge of the pool with a water bag with fish in both hands. "Pigsley's sister!"

"Hey, freak! This is a closed practice." Dalton tells Wednesday with a cocky grin on his face, prompting almost everyone else on the team to laugh along with him as if he just told the best joke known to man. Well, that's okay, Wednesday has one of her own in mind.

"The only one who gets to torture my brother is me." Wednesday states very proudly as she hovers the bags over the pool itself. At that moment, the polo team all begin to realize that it isn't just fish inside of those plastic carriers, it's all piranhas.

Dalton's face goes from arrogant to pale in a manner of seconds, along with everyone else, as Wednesday then drops the bags into the pool. "Oh my..." Dalton exclaims in terror as they all begin swimming away to the other side of the pool to safety. The second the bags hit the water, the piranhas to easily tear themselves out and slither over to all of the meat bags they detect.

Although the tiny things are fast, the training of the polo team pays off as most of them push themselves onto the surface, except for Dalton who's the last time to get out. He grabs onto the ladder and begins stepping himself out, however, the piranhas catch and chomp down on his entire lower torso... including his baby maker.

Dalton lets out the most high-pitched scream anyone's heard from.

And at that moment, Wednesday smiles.

(A/N) Welcome to the new story.... again.

I'm a little embarrassed to explain what happened to the previous second attempts. But this time, I promise, I have a plan, and a personal story of my own to tell in this specific book. Won't get into too many details about it, but just know that this Y/N's arc will be influenced heavily by a story of my own, as well as the ending.

If anyone's wondering what you will be, (because I didn't tell them in discord) I tried to give a small hint in Y/N's section of this prologue, but it will be made more and more clear as the story progresses. It should be spelled out loud by the end of Episode 1.

Plz vote and comment, any counts as feedback, and I'll see you in the next one.
