My dearest Ava,

You always tell me that I saved you but the true reality is that you saved me.

I've always been an uptight guy and I've been known to be a bit of a solemn man, and someone's even described me as Jack Frost.  I didn't know what to do with my life and even though no one saw it, I knew there was something fucked up inside of me.  

I thought no one saw it, but you did.  

Although you were falling yourself, you managed to push me back off the ledge into safety while you were tumbling down a rabbit hole a darkness that was endless.

Ava, I promise to never take my eyes off of you.  I promise to never be as selfish as I was when I was a teenager.  I promise to always be there for you and be constant in your life.  I promise to catch you if you fall.  I vow to love for who you are.  I will be patient, even if it means listening you ramble on why hot dogs should be classified as a sandwich.

I won't let you fall again.  I promise.

For a few years now, I've watched you pull through every hardship that came your way.  In a situation that I would have given up in, you pulled through.  You are the strongest person I've ever met.

Thank you for saving me.  And thank you for holding on.  Thank you for holding onto us.

You're worth the world, Ava.  You are worth every tear.  You are worth it to me.   There is not enough words to tell you how much you mean to me.

I love you and I always will.
