rachel stood in her bedroom getting ready for bed she was wearing her nighty and was brushing her hair when she heard sebastian coming up the stairs she couldnt get what happened earlier out of her head.

her hair now brushed rachel stood by her bed and fuck off the neckless that was her mothers and placed it gently and carefully on her nightstand before climbing into bed.

the next morning

rachel was in the kitchen making breakfast when sebastian walked in already dressed for school he poured them both a coffee and walked kver and placed her mug next to her.

" thank you" rachel said sebastian went and sat down at the table as she began to plate up the sausages and eggs.

" another fine looking meal" sebastian said as shs placed his plate infront of him.

rachel tuck her place at the table and they began to eat rachel was feeling awkward about yesterday she knew she might be overreacting but she was emotionally raw since losing her parents.

" i will be home straight after school today" sebastian said rachel nodded

" what are we having for dinner this evening" he asked

" i dont know yet" rachel said

" well whatever it is im sure it will be delicious " sebastian said

placing his knife and fork down he wiped his mouth with his napkin and stood up from the table.

" thank you that was lovely i best be going" sebastian said

" have a good day" rachel said not looking at him.

sebastian grabbed his school bag and left the house and headed for his parents house needing to talk to them about rachel.

as he walked in his parents were eating breakfast his father was reading a newspaper as he ate they both looked at him as he walked into the room.

" morning son" his dad said

" morning" he said

"are you hungry" his mom asked

" no rachel made breakfast " sebastian said

" are you ok" his mom asked

" no" sebastian said sitting down

" what is it" she asked

" i think i ruined it" sebastian said tears filling his eyes

" seb what are you talking about " his mom asked his dad folded the newspaper and walked round the table to sewt next to him.

" last night i scared her she had made this amazing meal and then we sat in the living room i fooled myself into thinking we had a proper marriage. she was in the kitchen making a pot of tea and i walked over to her i hovered behind her it freaked her out" sebastian said

" you hovered" his mom asked

" i was going to kiss her on her cheek but i chickened out so i just stood there behind her" sebastian said

" what happened next" his dad asked

" she made the tea we drank it then she went to bed so then i went to bed and this morning she wouldn't look at me" sebastian said

" i think i might have contributed to her unease" his mom said

" what" sebastian asked

" i called round to see her yesterday to ask if you two wanted to come for dinner but she was alresdy making dinner. we spoke about school she said she was going to try to find work i said been the wife of a smythe was a pretty full time job itself and that soon she might have her hands full" his mom said

" you spoke about having children when you know she doesnt know i married her because i love her and we sleep in separate rooms" sebastian said

" you need to talk to her sebastian you need to tell her how you feel" his dad said

" what and freak her out" sebastian said

" i think seb is right rachel has a lot to deal with right now" his mom said

" i best be getting to dalton" sebastian said

" ok son" his dad said his mom gave him a smile before he left.

rachel was sorting out the laundry then she remembered his bag it felt weird handling his clothes especially as some underpants were among them.

she spent most of the day cleaning the house she decided on a meat pie for dinner so in the afternoon she got to work on that.

sebastian seemed to be home in no time as she had kept busy all day she had a fesh pot of coffee for him to come home too.

" im going to change" sebastian said rachel nodded

ten minutes later sebastian walked back into the kitchen carrying his uniform he seemed nervous almost as he walked over to her.

" here" he said rachel was momentarily baffled but then realised it was friday he would need his uniform washing ready for next week. she tuck the clothes from him and carried them into a little room off the kitchen and set about sorting them out.

once she was done she walked into the kitchen to catch sebastian peaking into the oven to see what was for dinner.

" its meat pie " rachel said

" oh" sebastian said

" desert is trifle" rachel said

" right" he said

after dinner they once again were sat in their living room sebastian was once more listening to music.

" i love music " sebastian said after several minutes of silence

" me too" rachel said

" would you like to dance" he asked catching her off gaurd

" oh" rachel said not sure what to say

" one dance we are married" sebastian said he stood up and tuck hold of her hand pulling her up they began to dance rachel felt emotional her parents had taught her to dance.

as the music stopped they both remained on the spot swaying not saying anything before sebastian let go of her.

" its been a long week im going to go to bed" sebastian said and he left the room leaving rachel stood there wondering what was going on.

rachel sorted out his uniform that she had washed and then headed for bed herself she knew something was off with sebastian but she was afraid to ask. marrying him had been a lifeline for her and she was scared what might happen if they called it off.

she felt exhausted as she climbed into bed that night wondering what tomorrow might bring she had decided to go out tomorrow to explore westerville more.
