Rachel was now walking with Sebastian behind his parents to the neighbours who were hosting the garden party.

As they set off walking down the pretty tree line lane which lead from the smythe estate to the neighbouring one Sebastian tuck hold of her hand she looked at him and blushed slightly it was all still new to her.

" we will have to host a party soon now that your married Sebastian " his dad said.

"You mean spend an evening where i am centre of attention sounds good" he said.

" honestly rachel i blame blame charles for Sebastian's confidence i raised a sweet boy" maggie said laughing charles laughed too.

They reached the neighbours and followed some other guests through the garden gate and into the back garden which was huge but not as huge as the smythes.

" ours is bigger" Sebastian said.

" maggie charles young Sebastian and you must be rachel" a lady came over to them.

"Eleanor lovely to see you again" maggie said hugging the woman.

" hello eleanor this is rachel " Charles said.

"Lovely to meet you you must be some girl to tame him" eleanor said before engulfing Sebastian in a hug and rachel noticed how embarrassed he was.

" i was his governess" eleanor said

" oh" rachel said

" before i met my Phillip" eleanor said

" ah there you are my dear" a man said walking over and standing beside eleanor.

"Phillip this is rachel" she said phillip was currently shaking charles hand.

" lovely to meet you bet you have got your work cut out for you the stories my eleanor has told me about him" phillip said.

" i wasnt that bad" Sebastian said.

" he has calmed down... a little" maggie said

" thank you" Sebastian said

"We are only teasing he is a good lad... come on through" phillip said

They followed the hosting couple to the table where jugs of homemade lemonade were Sebastian set about pouring them both a glass while charles got him and maggie a glass of champagne.

" now we are married we should be allowed to drink that too " Sebastian said.

" not going to hapoen enjoy your lemonade" charles said.

"So rachel what was your maiden name " phillip asked.

"Berry" she said Sebastian put his arm around her waist.

" berry i know that name..." phillip said trying to think.

" phillip i would like to talk about your business " charles said leading him away rachel was relieved. Eleanor looked confused maggie lead her away.

" you ok" Sebastian asked.

" yeah though i dont knkw what is worse speaking to people who kni or people who dont" she said.

" anytime you want to go home just let me know" he said she nodded.

" these jeff and his girlfriend" Sebastian said pointing throuh the crowd.

" shall we go talk to them" he asked.

" ok" rachel said and they set off walking through the crowd towards jeff who was stood with an extremely nervous shy looking girl.

" hello jeff" Sebastian said.

"Seb...rachel...this is rosie Davidson riie this is Sebastian and rachel smythe he goes to dalton with me" jeff said

"Hi" she sais shyly.

" hi" rachel said to her.

" this is actually the first event we gave attented together" jeff said.

" it sort of is for us too" sebastian said which was true apart from the theatre with his parents they hadnt gone to an event.

" its nerve wracking isn't it" rachel said to rosie who smiled and nodded.

" jeff why dont we go get the four of us some cake" sebastian said

" ok" jeff said and the two boys walked towards a table where buns and cakes of dozens of varieties were laid out.

" so your married" rosie said.

"Yes...how long have you knkwn jeff" rachel asked.

"Since we were three years old we grew upto together through we only started courting three weeks ago...how did you meet sebastian " rosie said.

" i knew him from show choir competitions..." rachel started to say.

" wait your rachel berry" rosie said

"Yes" rachel said.

" your the girl that jeff said the warblers needed to beat" Rosie said.

"Yeah" rachel said.

" so how did you and sebastian start courting" rosie asked rachel wasnt sure what to say.

"Here we are victoria sponge cake" sebastian said as he and jeff arrived back and handing both girls a plate.

" rachel my aunt and uncle have arrived i would like to introduce you to them" sebastian said

"Ok it was lovely to meet you" she said to rosie.

" you to miss berry um i mean mrs smythe" rosie said nervously.

Rachel and sebastian set off walking towards the other side of the garden.

" she seems nice" rachel said.

" yeah he loves her he has since he knew what love was" sebastian said.

"Thats lovely" rachel said

" yeah now that his father has agreed to let him date her" sebastian said

" he didnt approve" rachel asked.

"She is the daughter of their housekeeper " sebastian said.

"That explains why she was so nervous" rachel said.

" thats why i asked jeff to get cake with me let her talk to you" he said

" ah seb" a man said who looked just like charles he and a pretty woman walked over to them.

"Hello uncle martin aunt anita this is rachel and rachel this is martin my dads twin brother and his wife anita" sebastian said.

" younger twin brother four minutes younger.... its lovely to meet you" martin said

" this is for you" anita said handing sebastian an envelope.

" aunt " sebastian said surprised

" wedding present" anita said

" oh "he said

" open it once your home" martin said

" we will thank you" sebastian said

" Thank you" rachel said.

Sebastian spent the next hour introducing her to people by the end of it her head was swimming with names.

" sebastian rachel we are going to get off home now" charles said appearing at a rable they had sat down at.

" shall we go too " sebastian asked rachel noddded it was an unbelievably hot day and rachel was pining for the cool shade of her home.

Martin and anita left with them they were going for dinner with maggie and Charles.

" i was thinking maybe we could invite jeff and rosie to ours one night for dinner" sebastian asked as they walked down the lane to the smythe estate.

" yeah " she said.

Finally they reached the house and the cool air of the kitchen which the windows were shaded by climbing ivy was a welcome relief.

"Shall i make us a coffee " she asked

" please then we shall open this" he said waving the envelope.
