"No, my parents came as well. Both of them had a day off and wanted to take a break and  heard of this event of Stark Industries taking place and everyone was talking about it in the building. So they decided why not?"

He noticed  the near imperceptive shrug of her shoulders and for a while he wondered why she said 'my parents' in place of 'our parents' but dismissed it soon after. Another notification buzzed on his phone screen- an affirmative yes from his mentor to the the little enquiry carried by his prior text.

"Oh, so this was just a recluse from boredom and not an option?" he asked with a teasing mirth, hoping he did not rub her off the wrong way. He wanted to keep the conversation going but he did not know how to and the first thing that came to his head then was to try and figure out if she held an interest in science or Iron Man and Stark Industries.

He couldn't stop the small smile from making sits way to his lips, his fondness for his mentor had always been ignited since he was a kid and after meeting him it only intensified along with gradually wearing off some of his old fanboy nature for him replaced instead by genuine warmth and protectiveness, the more and more he got to know the man he was.

"Quite" came the response from the melodic voice, a sheepish smile gracing the lips of its owner, "This was close to the house and we needed a break from the indoors cooped up in half packed luggage."

Peter's ears perked up at that, she lived somewhere near here and there was a chance he might cross ways with her somewhere, sometime. He wished Ned was here, out of the two of them his best friend somehow always managed to be a social success in these situations than him who never could strike the right balance of talking and holding back required to generate favourable Impression. He was either a shy nerd or over enthusiastically talkative.

"Oh. I am rather a science geek. Physics, biochemistry, they interest me a lot" he said, hoping to keep the conversation going, "The exhibition here has many interesting things pertaining to them. The synthetic cell regeneration techniques of Dr Cho are being discussed with the public for the first time-"

"Looks like my mother will take a long time in there" she chuckled softly before embarking on an explanation seeing Peter's questioning look, "She is a doctor and she got a post at Queens Memorial Hospital. She is quite passionate about her job."

"That is a noble profession! I live in Queens by the way" he replied, smiling widely.

"That's such a coincidence! We live the apartment given by the hospital for now" she said titling her head slightly, her looses brunette locks also falling sideways with the motion, "We might shift once we know the city better and are settled enough, buy a proper house with a garden..."

She bit her lip at that, and Peter observed her hold around Ava tighten. He could conclude that she missed her home in Manchester, a lot possibly and also their move to the States was most likely motivated by some sort of unpleasant compulsion."I am sure you guys will settle soon and find the home you want. There are lots of amazing neighbourhoods in tha area" He replied, " Have you tried out Dami's  Eatery? Trust me they sell the best garlic breads in Queens amd their stuffed capsicums are delicious!"

He beamed at her, pausing for her to respond so that this remained a conversation and not one of his hyper excited ramblings, but she didn't.
