Arc 1: Blueprints

Alex was standing by the bus station as he looked at the time on his watch and it was seven twenty three a.m. Winters heard notifications from his phone as he saw it was Jameson asking him why he was late as he sighed to himself and put his phone back in his pocket.

Alex watched as the snow fell steadily onto the city, a layer of snow blanketing the surroundings. The city's skyline was softened. The usual sharp edges and tall skyscrapers contrasted by the peaceful sight of snowfall. It was a tranquil scene in the midst of the city's usual hustle and bustle and he couldn't help but find it very mesmerizing and beautiful.

Winters continued looking around until he noticed someone standing next to him. He noticed she was wearing a hoodie and Alex continued staring at her until she removed her hoodie and fixed her hair.

Anna was waiting for the bus as she looked at the time on her watch before looking around. However when Alex saw her, his eyes lit up and he felt his heart skip a beat. He saw the wind blowing her hair and she was fixing it, her eyes was filled with kindness and warmth.

Anna was fixing her hair as she turned to the right and saw Winters staring at her and her eyes lit up when she saw him as Matheson had a friendly smile on her face.

However both of them heard the sound of a car horn as they immediately looked in front of them and saw a SUV as the windows of the vehicle were rolled down and Anna saw Anne, Racheal, Zypher and Sebastian as Matheson had a huge smile on her face, seeing her friends until they spoke to her.

Zypher: Hey Ann! Hey Alex!

Anna looked at Alex and had a small smile as she knew what his name was as the others continued speaking to them.

Racheal: Waiting for the bus?

Anna: Yeah, so far the bus hasn't arrived yet and it's getting late.

Sebastian: We're heading to Colombia right now. The Daily Bugle is also close by.

Anne: We can drop you there. That includes you, Alex.

Alex wanted to say something but the others stopped him and told him that waiting for the bus will make him even more late for work as Winters nodded. Soon Anna and Alex got inside the car as they began driving away.

During the car ride, Alex was staring at the city as he was thinking about Anna while Matheson was looking at her phone, however she was also thinking about Alex. Soon Winters made it to the Daily Bugle as they said "Bye" to each other before Alex entered the building.

They continued driving towards the University, however Anna asked the group something as they were listening to her.

Anna: You guys know him?

Anne: Yeah. His name is Alex Winters.

Sebastian: We've known him for sometime now.

Zypher: He's our best friend and a photographer at the Bugle.

Anna: Oh I see.

Racheal: Yeah. He's really quiet and rarely talks but he's caring and nice.

Anna nodded and soon they arrived at Colombia University as they exited the vehicle and began making their way towards the building.

Two hours later

There was a traffic jam happening by the Brooklyn Bridge as some civilians were annoyed by the traffic jam and even pressed on their car horns but the cars ahead couldn't move ahead.

There was a Tricorp truck that was filled with a variety of equipement was supposed to be transported to the headquarters, however the truck was stuck in the traffic jam as the driver was annoyed and pressed on the car horn until everyone saw something in front of them.

There was smoke in front of them as lightning emitted from the smoke and everyone was staring at it until the smoke disappeared and they saw someone standing in front of them.

Mysterio looked at the Tricorp truck before he said something to the civilians.

Mysterio: Behold! Another purveyor of the poisons of progress that banished the old arts from this world.

Some civilians exited their vehicles as they were annoyed by Mysterio and thought he was just some magician that blocked the traffic just to get attention. Some civilians were armed with crowbars as one civilian said something to Mysterio.

Civilian: Hey! How about we banish you?

Mysterio had a smirk on his face as he said something in Latin and the civilians were confused until smoke began to form behind Mysterio and something emerged from the smoke as the civilians eyes were widen in shock and fear by what they saw.

The dragon let out a menacing roar and flew towards them as they immediately ran away while the dragon flew around the bridge as some civilians ran away while others stay inside their cars.

The Tricorp driver was scared and stayed inside the truck as Mysterio snapped his fingers and the dragon soon turned into mist and was gone.

Alex: Wow. Nice trick, fishbowl.

Mysterio immediately turned around and saw Alex standing in front of him as Winters said something to him.

Alex: And I bet the cheesy magician act really goes over big with the tourists.

Mysterio: You dare call Mysterio a magician?! Fool! Mysterio is no illusionist playing parlor tricks. Mysterio is the master of the arcane arts!

Alex: Seems to me, Mysterio is the master of talking about himself in the third person.

Mysterio: [Smiles] We shall see.

The villain said something to the Spider as he was staring at him until Mysterio's hands began glowing and suddenly Winters felt weak and fell down on his knees as he was struggling to get up and the villain laughed at him.

Mysterio created a sword and slowly walked towards the Spider who was still weak as he raised the sword up and tried to attack him until Alex shot a webline at the weapon and threw it on the ground as the villain said something to him.

Mysterio: Your will is strong, Spider Man. Should you turn your mind to the spiritual, you might one day make a formidable foe. But not today.

Alex stared at Mysterio as he said something and suddenly a cloud appeared in the sky and lightning began to hit the bridge until it hit Winters, sending him flying towards a truck as he fell down and slowly got up as he stared at the villain.

Mysterio had a smirk on his face as he looked at the Tricorp driver and said something to him.

Mysterio: You have one chance to abandon your cargo.

Driver: I'm thinking it's safer inside.

Suddenly Mysterio's hands began glowing as lightning hit the tires of the truck and suddenly it was being lifted up in the air as the driver was shocked.

Winters slowly got up as he walked towards them and saw the truck was floating near the sea and Mysterio said something to the vigilante.

Mysterio: Farewell, Spider Man!

The truck began to fall into the sea as Alex's eyes were widen and immediately jumped off the bridge and landed in the cold freezing water as his eyes were widen and he continued swimming towards the truck.

[Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! That definitely woke me up!]

He continued swimming towards the truck and managed to get the door open as Alex carried the driver and swim back to the surface. Soon they made it back to the bridge as the driver was coughing and shivering while Alex let out a sneeze and held both of his arms as he was shivering.

Alex looked around and was thinking about Mysterio as he got up and shot a webline as he left the bridge and began making his way towards the Bugle while thinking about everything that has happened.

Meanwhile Anna, Racheal, Anne, Zypher and Sebastian were at the office as they were talking to each other. Matheson was looking at her phone as she saw an article from the Daily Bugle which talked about the fight between Spider Man and Mysterio.

She looked at the photo on the article as Anna saw something written underneath the picture as it said "Photo By Alex Winters".

Racheal: So Ann, any plans for tomorrow?

Anna: No, I have no plans besides the usual work and grading.

Anne: You know, you should take a break and hangout with someone.

Anna: I've been hanging out with you guys.

Sebastian: What we mean is you should go out with someone.

When he said that, Anna was surprised and silent as she was thinking about what they said. After the divorce, she was never interested in dating and was focusing on her career. Matheson was also scared to date someone because she was worried to get her heart broken again.

The group noticed Anna's silence as they knew what she was thinking about and said something to her.

Zypher: Anna, we understand how you feel. But you have let go of the past and focus on the future.

Racheal: He's right. I'm sure you'll find someone that cares about you and treats you well.

Anna knew they were right about what they said as she nodded and said something to them.

Anna: Your right. I'm ready to move on from my past and focus on the future.

Anne: That's the spirit!

Everyone smiled at her as Matheson a smile on her face until Sebastian said something to her.

Sebastian: I have an idea. You can meet our friend, Alex tomorrow.

Zypher: That's a good idea! It's settled, you will be meeting him tomorrow.

Anna had a smile on her face as Matheson was thinking about the first time she met him at the station as she said something to the group.

Anna: [Smiles] Okay then. I'll meet him.

Racheal: Nice! I'm sure you'll enjoy talking to him.

Anne: Definitely! Oh look at the time, class is almost starting.

Everyone nodded and soon the group left the office, however Anna was sitting by the chair as she was thinking about Alex and had a small smile on her face as she said something to herself.

Anna: [Smiles] Alex Winters, He's cute.

Meanwhile Alex was at his apartment wearing a sweater and jeans as he wrapped a blanket around himself and was shivering while Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Michael were talking to him while giving him some hot chocolate.

Anna: They said on the news, authorities recovered the truck but the cargo was washed out to sea.

Elizabeth: Not only that, the Bugle blames this entire mess on Spider Man.

Alex: Great. . . . . . . . How am I suppose to battle a real life sorcerer?

Benjamin: Hey I'm sure you'll find a way. You defeated a lot of your enemies last year, I'm sure you'll win this battle.

Michael: Definitely brother but I do wonder what Mysterio is really doing? We should all meet up and discuss this.

Alex: Yeah. . . . . . . [Coughs]

Anna Kendrick: Oh by the way, you free tomorrow?

Alex: Yeah? Why?

Benjamin: That's good. Racheal texted me just now, said you'll be meeting someone tomorrow.

Alex: Who?

Elizabeth: Oh its a surprise and you'll see soon.

Michael: And don't even try to avoid that date. You have to be there tomorrow.

Alex: Okay then. I'll be there.

The group smiled at him and soon continued talking about Mysterio, however Alex was thinking about Anna and had a smile on his face as he was thinking about her.
