The Quidditch World Cup
The day had finally arrived. The Quidditch World Cup was here, and I, Y/N Potter, was going to be a part of it. I woke up early, the sun barely peeking over the horizon. The house was quiet, everyone still asleep. I was staying over at the Weasley's, my second home, and the room was filled with the comforting familiarity of Fred's presence. His steady breathing was a soothing rhythm in the quiet morning.
"Fred," I whispered, nudging him gently. His eyes fluttered open, a sleepy smile spreading across his face as he saw me. "It's time," I said, my voice filled with excitement. He sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "I can't believe it's finally here," he said, his voice husky from sleep. We got ready in comfortable silence, the anticipation building with each passing minute.
As we got up, I saw the Weasley family and my twin brother, Harry Potter, I smiled at all of them. "Y/n! Good morning dear!" Molly Weasley said with a motherly smile. "Good morning Mrs Weasley." I smiled back and sat at the dining next to Fred and Harry, "Ok now eat quickly, you need to go to the quidditch cup soon, it's never bad to be early." Mrs Weasley gave everyone a plate with vegetables, meats, and herbs. I ate my meal while Mrs Weasley talked to Fred and George about their O.W.Ls.
It was finally time to go, we followed Mr Weasley outside to the field and saw someone approaching, it was Cedric! And his father Amos Diggory. "Arthur!" Amos said, they talked for awhile. I turned to Cedric, "Hi ced!" Cedric was like a second brother to me. "Hey y/n," He hugged me in a bone crushing hug. "How have you been!" I was about to answer until Mr Weasley called us. We followed him until we came up to a boot, "Why are we all standing around this manky old boot?" I turned to Harry, "It's a portkey dumb shit." We then all held on to the boot, it felt like the world was spinning and I felt utterly sick. We finally landed with a thud.
I saw a hand help me up. "Thank you Fred." I dusted off dirt on my jeans, "your welcome my love." I blushed, I then saw Cedric, Mr Weasley, and Mr Diggory float down.
The journey to the stadium was filled with laughter and chatter. Fred held my hand the entire time, his thumb tracing circles on the back of my hand. The stadium was a sight to behold, a massive structure filled with thousands of excited fans. "This is incredible," Fred whispered in my ear, his breath tickling my neck. I nodded, too awestruck to speak.
When we reached our seats I cheered for our team. Fred was on the same team as me, he was betting on everything at this point.
When the game ended, I was surprised to say that he won. I have to say that this was a good day.
