Chapter 38--Part 1--
Jane's POV . . .
The day finally came. Jane took one last look at my deserted room, and strolled through the hallways. She was neither happy nor depressed. Luckly, her luggage was not heavy. It only consisted of one hand bag for her soccer gear, and a few snacks, then there was her white backpack, which was stuffed with several casual outfits, and a few other random things.
"At least I would be seeing Xavier, and the others,"reminding herself of her old friends would cheer her up a little, but that did not eliminate yesterday's flash back . . . .
She waited patiently for Gazel to speak, and once the words escaped her mouth, she was not surprised.
"That boy," he mumbled, " I don't know if you saw him, but he was staring at you the hole time during our game.
He was between the audience, and had emerald like hair."
Signs of worry emerged on Gazel's face. He was thinking too hard, and had been causing himself more pressure by talking about the topic, which has been troubling him lately.
"I noticed, and we talked," the silver-haired boy quickly turned his attention to Jane, who had a plain expression. His eyes were pleading for an explanation, but Jane clicked her tongue in rejection.
Gazel's face boiled with anger, and glared tensily at the girl, but she did not waver, and smoothly talked, "I think he might be just mentally ill", she said. " He says he is from the future."
The girl expected him to throw up laughing at her explanation, but he had his chin resting on the pale tips of his fingers.
"I don't know, but the way he stares, it does not feel right. It is not jealousy, it is just a hunch that something bad is coming", the tone of his voice was dead serious.
Jane silently stared at him for a good few minutes, before standing on her tip toes, and patting his head twice. A slight shade loomed over Gazel's cheek, and a tired smile slowly covered his exhausted face.
"Good Night Gazel"
Those were the last words she was able to think of, even though she was aware it will be a long time until she would see him again. Jane sighed heavily, and dragged herself out of the apartment, and into the bustling streets, where several types of people walked passed each other, as if not knowing anyone around them existed.
*beep* *beep*
She turned her attention to the "Fire Dragon" caravan, and smiled slightly.
"This is where I finish, and where I start a new role."
For a second the hole world became silent to Jane's ears, once she stepped into the bus, but that feeling quickly faded away.
"Quite a good job you did yesterday," coach Lee complemented happily.
A faint smile glowed on the girl's face as she took the last seat in the back. Suddenly, a warm grip circled her wrist, and the young girl felt her hole body turning numb.
" It has been a while . . . Jane~", the voice was so familiar, that it even sent sparks down her spine.
As if in slow motion, she glanced at the seat next to her, and noticed the same blue demon from the soccer field.
" Don't try informing your coach about me, it is not like he would be able to see me", he warned her.
Jane took one quick look at her coach, before turning to the mischevious demon.
"Fine, but why are you here?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
From all the events the teen girl has went through, she knew patience was much more benifical the anger.
" You sure are hard to control now that you have chosen the positive side, but o'well," Jane wasn't the only one being careful. As much as few humans knew, " Even a demon could be tamed by a humans positive side."
Right now, this teen demon is trying to avoid that turn of events.
"Anyway, I forgot to introduce myself!" he chuckled, " The name is Luciain."
Jane shifted uncomfortably away from him, and kept her guard on.
"Man man man, you really hate me!", unsurprisingly Luciain was chuckling half-heartedly.
Paying the demon no mind, the girl turned her attention to her old memories. In her mind, she felt remembering her flashbacks were much more better than listening to a demon. This triggered a nerve in Luciain. He shuffled closer to Jane, who was lost in her thoughts, until their shoulders pressed against each other. Placing her guard back on, the teen girl grabbed his shoulder, and pinned him downward, causing him to lose his balance. They both fell on the floor, but Jane kept a firm grip on his wrists.
"Don't ever touch me," she hissed into his ear.
