Chapter 32
Third Person POV . . .
Jane joyfully dashed out of the hospital doors, while jumping up and down like a little bunny, as Torch ran after her, bumping in into several nurses, and docters on his way.
" Oh! Jane! You could at least slowly down a bit?!", he yelled, finally catching up with the joyous girl, and tugged her shoulder for support.
She litterly made him run around the hole hospital, when she was trying to find the exit. He was gasping for air, as if he had just ran a marathon.
" Okie doke! Let's sit on that bench over there!", she suggested, pointing to a wooden bench across the street.
Torch glanced at Jane, and nodded in appreciation. Small drops of sweat dropped from his forehead, and once they reached the bench, he slumped down, with a sigh of relief escaping his lips.
"Just what I need", he mumbled, closing his eyes, and resting his head on Jane's shoulder.
The teen girl was stunned by his actions, and tried inching away, but Torch wrapped his arms around her shoulders, and tugged her closer to him, nuzzeling his nose into the side of her neck. Jane could have pushed him away, but his tight grip kept her frozen in place.
"Can you stop~ I wanna sleep", he moaned, resting his head on her shoulder, and smiled slyly.
Soon the girl gave in, and Torch peacefully dozed off to sleep. Minute after minute passed, and Jane was getting annoyed. She wanted more than anything to teleport to the green field, and have a practice match with Balil.
" Sleeping time is over!", she yelled into the red-head's ears, causing him to jump off the bench, with a frightened expression.
" What was that for?!", he shouted, steam puffing from his ears like a bull, and grinted his teeth angerly.
" Fufufu, I want to go and play already!", she complained, and started walking across the street again.
Torch's eyebrows flinched, but he sighed, and tagged along.
By the time they reached the green field, Jane spotted Balil practicing his dribbling, and rushed towards him. Balil took notice of the girl's presence, and waved at her welcomingly. A soft breeze blew by the field, and Jane stared at the sunset, with sparkling eyes. It was a beautiful view, the mixture of red, yellow, and orange gave the evening set a refreshing atmosphere. Torch simply sat under the blossom tree, and stared at Jane's smiling face. What else would he have expected? The girl has not been out for a while, but even though she was isolated from the outside world, her smile was enough to make butterflys rise in his stomach. He pitched his cheeks to snap himself out of his daydream, and glanced at Balil, who was also staring at the teen girl, with his mouth slightly open.
" Hey Balil! Shouldn't you start the match already?!", the irritated red-head shouted, glaring daggers at the captain of "Desert Lions".
Balil glanced at Torch, and nodded, before calling Jane to join his practice. Torch shifted uncomfortably under the tree, before laziness to over, and threw him into the land of dreams. Unlike Jane, she was more than just happy to kick the ball again. Her tricks, and dribbling were a little rusty at first, but she quickly got a hold of the situation, and in no time, she had the ball in her grasp. She and Balil has the same balance of power, but she had the advantage, since she went through the experience of being a forward, and defender, but Balil only had the a habit of a defender, and had a lesser chance of winning against her.
"It's hard to believe you were a patient at the hospital", Balil complemented, as he struggled to keep the ball in his control, while Jane was tactically trying to find a way to steal the ball from between his feet.
"That's why you should never look down on me!", she said energetically, finding an opening between his legs, and swiftly stole the ball.
Balil was astonished by her sudden movement, and dashed after her. Their shoulders banged against each other, as they fought for domination over the soccer ball. This was challenging for Jane, since she was never challenged like this. Although she tried as hard as she could to bet Balil, she lost her balance in the end, and she got pushed backwards into the grassy ground.
"Your quite good at your part as a defender", she mumbled, standing up, and brushing all the first of her jersey.
"Hai! (Yes), but I am guessing you need improvements", Balil replied, pinning the soccerball under his foot, and laughing teasingly.
"Show-off!", she complained, stomping her foot, and pouting childishly.
As they continued practicing, they did not notice Gazel walking into the field, and resting himself beside Torch. He poked the red-head's cheeks a few times, before a loud moan erupted from the sleeping boy.
" Wake up idiot!", Gazel hissed, shaking Torch madly, until his eyes shot open.
" What do you want?", his team-mate asked, rubbing his sun-like eyes sleeply.
" It's Xavier ", Torch focused his attention on Gazel, as if asking him to continue.
"He called, and asked why Jane has not been calling him recently, and I sort of got jealous", Gazel added, staring at the Sakura leaves, that showered them.
" So? What did you tell him?", Torch asked axiously, while tugging his friends arm.
" Well~ I sorta got mad, and told him that got suck of him calling, and that she did not want to have anything to do with him, but of course I did not raise my voice", Gazel replied smoothly, and brushed Torch's hand away from his arm.
" And I thought you were the person who solves problems", the red-head sighed, and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Don't mention any of this to Jane, okay?", Torch added, slamming his hand against his friend's back, causing Gazel to let out a small moan.
" Your still annoying", the silver-haired boy mumbled, while bitting his lower lip.
"Moan like that in front of Jane, and she will be head over heels for you", Torch teased, before going back to sleep.
Gazel turned his attention to Jane, and thought about Torch's advice, before walking back to his room, with a small smile on his lips.
" I will give it a try someday"
