Chapter 10
Third Person POV . . .
A week has passed since the national team of Korea have been practicing for their first FFI game. The team was strong, but the bonds of trust between Leo, and Gazel was not as good as the other members.
ane was worried about the two boys, but Torch, Byron, and a few other teammates kept her hope up, not wanting to make things more complicated, and it worked! The coach was pleased by the bonds Jane, and the others members had, except Gazel. He kept giving all the members a cold shoulder, or icey cold glares, especially to Leo. The new, blonde member of the team was confused, about Gazel's rudeness to him, he never did anything to hurt him, he simply wanted to be a good teammate, but Leo's innocence was not seen by Gazel the slightest second. The game was taking part today, and coach Lee still had his doubts about Gazel.
Jane was about to enter the bus that would be taking the team to the stadium, but suddenly, a black car parked behind the bus, and a familiar
blue-haired girl stepped out of the car with a serious face.
" B-Belletrix?", Jane asked in shock, with her eyes wide. She never expected to see the familiar girl again, ever since she returned to her normal life.
" It's good to see you Jane. From now on you will not be the only girl around", the teen girl said, brushing a strand of her blue hair behind her ear, and gave the stunned girl a small smile.
" What brings you here?", Jane asked, managing to crack a bright smile on her face. The other teen girl looked at her watch, and replied,
" I volunteered to be Fire Dragon's manager".
Jane was about to ask another question, but someone grabbed her wrist from behind, and pulled her into the bus, causing the girl to stumble, but someone rapped their arms around her to support her balance.
"Don't get close to her", the teen girl raised her face to the cold voice, and saw Gazel standing in front of her with his emotionless, cold eyes locked with hers.
" Being forceful as usual Gazel?", Belletrix asked, stepping into the bus with a plain expression. The silver-haired boy expression, seemed pissed off seeing the new girl, and pulled Jane closer to him.
" Just perfect another freak", he mumbled , before letting go of Jane, and dragging her to the two seats in the back of the bus. Belletrix shook her head at me pitiyously as Gazel dragged me further into the back, but Torch stood up from his seat, and blocked Gazel's path.
"Oi! Your taking this too far!", the red-head shouted, pulling my wrist from Gazel's grasp, and pulling me behind him.
" Gazel, you really have to calm down, your getting Jane really confused, and worried", Leo said, standing behind the cold-hearted boy.
" Stay out of this", hissed Gazel, with a shadow covering his eyes. Leo was surprised by the sudden scary tone, but replaced it with a serious face.
The blond boy was about to protest, but Jane pushed Torch away from her, grabbed Gazel's hand, and continued walking to the back, fearing that whatever Leo might have said, right or wrong, would have caused a terrible fight. She glanced at the boy behind her from the corner of her eyes, and noticed the dark shadow still covering his eyes. Honestly, the girl felt pity, but she pushed it aside, reminding herself that his behaviour was causing alot of trouble for the team. A sigh of relief escaped her lips once they reached the last two seats, Jane slowly sat beside the wooden framed window, and glanced at Gazel who sat beside her without saying a single word.
She interwined her fingers with his, while staring outside the window.
" Jane, is it true? What Leo said, about me making you scared?", Jane turned her attention from the view outside the window, to the teen boy sitting beside her, and replied in a low voice,
"Maybe". Gazel bit his lower lip, and stayed silent for a few seconds, before he spoke again, " I haven't changed, I am still alone". Jane's eyes widened once she saw pure tears slide down the boy's cheeks, and drop on their interwined hands. The shadow finally left Gazel's eyes, and he stared at the ceiling of the bus with shimmering tears in his eyes, he was no longer bitting his lip, and he eyes had a lifeless glow.
" Snap out of it!", the girl shouted, looking at him with a worried expression, and held his hand tightly. Gazel ooked at the girl straight in the eyes, searching for the sign of pain, and fear, but it was never there, instead, they were filled with determination.
" You came on this trip to play soccer right?", the teen girl asked
straight-forwardly, while placing her other hand on top of his. The boy looked at her in confusion, but managed to answer, " Yeah". A satisfied smile appeared on Jane's face, and she placed a quick kiss on his cheek, and said,
" Lets not anything get in the way of our goal then". Gazel was completely stunned by her words, and raised his pinky finger in front of her.
" As long as we do it together", he added, and waited for her to interwine her finger, which she did.
" It's a deal", Jane agreed, with a cheerful smile on her face.
Torch's POV . . .
" Do you think they will be okay?", Leo asked me, while glancing at the back of the bus, with worried eyes.
" I don't have the slightest idea", I simply replied, shoving another
'Gummy Bear' , into my mouth.
" You should really stop eating sweets, you even have a belly because of them!"? the blonde boy complained, snatching the small delight from his hand, and threw it out of the window. Torch acted sad, and cuddled into a small ball, while hugging his legs tightly, with fake tears streaming down his cheeks.
" Are you actually crying?", Leo asked irritatedly, and started looking left,a nd right for someone to save him. Suddenly, Byron, who seat was behind them, motioned to him with his finger to sit on the empty seat beside him. Leo glanced at Torch to make sure he was not watching, before scurrying to the other blonde. Torch sensed his movement, and pointing a causing finger at him, and shouted, " How could you just leave me!".
" He needs a treatment of a god Torch, so let him be", Byron replied calmly, and smiled kindly at Leo. Torch's face turned red with jealousy, he pulled out his phone from his pocket, and started playing 'Mobile Legends', trying to hide his embaresment.
" Whatever, they are all idiots", he told himself, while keeping his attention on the game.
