The last day flew by like a breeze. It was now two mornings after Sans had made friends with Ayu. "i'll be back in a bit. undyne'd be real angry if i didn't come to my post." He said to her. She didn't know who Undyne was, but it wasn't really important. "bye. see ya." He continued, walking out of the door.

It was hours after Ayu watched Sans leave the house for work. She sat on the bottom step of the stairs, and her gaze drifted to the window across from her, subconsciously expecting to see either the bright rays of the sun, or the silvery glow of moonlight shining through it. Though neither of those were present in the Underground, she still knew how late it was after the skeleton's departure. She knew that his job as a sentry would only allow him to get home very late, but... Wouldn't he at least have taken a break yet? Yesterday, he'd invited her to Grillby's at least 2 or 3 times. She knew of the possibility that he decided to go on his own, but in the back of her mind, she was worried for him. Earlier in the day, she would have just passed it off as her worrying too much. But, by now, that feeling had grown stronger and stronger, until it was practically consuming her. I'll regret this... She thought to herself, sighing as she decided to go check on him.

She walked through the door, out into the edge of the small town in Snowdin. She made her way across the long path. Halfway there, she thought to herself, maybe I am just worrying too much. Looking down slightly. Should I go back...? She silently questioned. She then made her decision. She had just turned around, ready to get back into the cozy house and forget she ever thought of leaving, until she heard a yell from behind her.

"HUMAN!!"
