Lukas' POV.

"Wait....what?"

"Okay, I can explain. I was searching for stuff that maybe Jess could remember, and I opened her drawer. Then I saw...this." He handed me the necklace.

So...it was her after all.

The Jess that was with me during my childhood...

The Jess we always played together with...

The Jess that was separated from me...

I was so happy. I finally found her.

"Are you...her brother then? Jesse is that really you?" I said, still surprised.

"Boy, I never thought we would meet like this. Yes, I am her brother, Jesse. Lukas...you don't know how much this means to her."

He then explained that Jess thought I was dead. She thought I died in a siege after the griefers attacked.

Wow, what a coincidence. And I thought she was dead.

"No wonder I notice something so familiar with her. Her looks, hair, personality...it all explains it well enough because of this necklace." I said, checking it out.

"You better tell her. I was pretty shocked too. You don't know how much she had told me about you...and now that I see it, she was right. You really are a handsome, kind and friendly guy."

I laughed at his praise and gave him a thumbs up. "I will tell her."

As soon as I climbed down the ladder, I ran off into the woods and shouted her name. Her real name.

"Jesse? Jesse!(Female) where are you?"

While I was shouting, I remembered the days we spent together. Having picnics, playing in the park, and watching the stars. It's too good to be true.

The Jess I like now is the Jess I had loved when I was little.

After getting tired of shouting, I sat under a tree, near a sandy beach. Weird. I never knew a beach was here.

"Lukas?"

There it is. The voice I have been wanting to hear for so long.

"Jess! I'm so glad to see you."

"Uh, right. By the way, how did you know my real name?" She asked, folding her arms.

It looks like she was wandering around as well. "Well, um, I was just about to explain that."

I shook as I grabbed the necklace from my pocket. I suddenly had doubts. What if she really doesn't remember?

"Jesse. Do you remember the times where we spent together, eating food from the store we love, chasing each other around, and getting scolded for being dirty?"

Jess cocked her head to the side and nodded. "Yeah. I do remember doing those with someone."

I immediately felt happy and couldn't wait to show her my true self.

"Well, what I really want to say is, you have been a great friend to me, and I really like you. So, please, Jesse..."

Here goes nothing...

"Do you remember me?"

I took out the necklace and walked closer to her, reaching out for her hand and giving her the accessory.

For a moment, she looked confused and stared at the necklace. I was getting nervous, because I wasn't really sure if she knew what that string was.

Then she looked like she had been triggered, and tears fell from her cheeks.

"Lukas...is that really you?"

I also felt myself tearing up and nodded. "Yes...it's me, Jesse!"

She flew her arms at me and hugged me tightly. I stroked her hair and smiled.

"You don't know how much I missed you! I thought you were dead! I...I..."

She let out her cries and I said, "I missed you too, Jesse. I really did. I thought you were...gone."

We finally let go and she wiped her tears away.

"L-Lukas... I really can't believe this...after that night I couldn't stop thinking about you...worrying about you. And when I heard about that rumor that you died...I...I couldn't be myself anymore."

She sniffer and I patted her on the back.

"Jesse, I feel the same way. When I heard about the news, I cried myself to sleep. Seriously, meeting you right now is like a dream come true. I finally met you, my best childhood friend."

We blushed and smiled as I felt a strange presence behind me.

"Wait, how did you get the rumor of me?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. I heard it from..."

Her face turned dark as she said the name.

"Aiden."

"Seriously? Are you kidding me?" Said a voice from behind. It emerged with a flashing diamond sword. Aiden looked really pissed.

I got in front of Jess and asked, "What are you doing, Aiden?! You messed up her memories and spreaded rumors about me. Why?"

He threw his sword down, forming a cloud of sand and dust around him.

"Because of you! I was Jess' best friend when she was way younger. We played together, watched kid movies, ate and did everything together! Until you came along! You stole her from me! I became lonely, helpless and a coward. No one wanted to be friends with me. She truly understands me, and now that she left me, I'm basically a loner!"

He stomped angrily and pulled out a bow and arrow. "I will end you right now!"

Before he could fire, a block of dirt knocked him, causing him to be distracted. Jess walked up to him.

She placed her hands on his shoulder and looked straight at him.

"Aiden...I know we were great friends before. And I'm sorry I left you alone. I shouldn't have did that. It was my fault. So if you're angry, please...don't be mad at Lukas. It wasn't his fault he moved in, and I was just curious about him so I went and became friends with him." She said, hanging her head down.

"Although I'm pretty mad at you, I still forgive you, Aiden. You were the one who recruited me to the Ocelots when I needed help. And even though you guys treated me like garbage, I still had fun with you all. I'm sorry, Aiden."

Aiden looked flustered as he picked up his sword. I thought he was going to hurt Jess and rushed to her side.

He smiled and kept his sword. "Not gonna gurt you. And, I forgive you, Lukas. But it won't be that easy. I'll still be a but prickly, because there are things that I still have to think about."

He gave a small kiss on Jess' cheek (?!?!?!?!?) And grinned.

"She's all yours, dude. I'll be seeing you around. And thanks for forgiving me. I really should mind my manners now."

He walked away and I checked on Jess. She looked heated, since a guy just kissed her out of nowhere.

"I-I didn't want that to happen...not on my first ki-"

"What?" I said.

"N-Nothing!" She answered, turning around.

I giggled as I turned her around.

"What did you say?"

"I meant, that I wanted my first kiss to be from another person..."

I pulled her close to me.

"How about I make that first kiss from me?"

I pressed my lips against hers, and we immediately sunk into the mood. She cupped my face with her hands and deepened the kiss. I placed my hands in her necklace, and grasped it tightly.

When we broke apart, she stuck her forehead onto mine, and said, "I had a massive crush in you, Lukas. Ever since Endercon started, I knew you had a resemblance to my old childhood friend, which turned out was you."

I placed my hands on her cheek. "I felt the same way too."

We stayed there for a few minutes, enjoying the sunset.

"So, I guess this really is a happy life huh? The conflict between Aiden is solved, and I finally found you, Jesse."

"Yeah. I'm still so overjoyed." She smiled sweetly.

"Well, we should get going. Your brother must be waiting anxiously for us."

She nodded and held my hand.

"Yeah, let's go."
