Lucy's P.O.V

Three Days before due date. (October 4)

I sat on the couch watching T.V, when I saw Natsu run up to me again. "Lucy! Do you feel any pain. Do you think it's going to come out?!"

I rolled my eyes,"Natsu, you've asked me the same thing every 10 minutes."

"I know I know. It's just, It's almost your due date and, I don't want anything to go wrong..."

I smiled at Natsu and said,"Nothing's going to go wrong." He smiled back and left.

He really cares for me...What did I do to deserve this?

I sighed as I began to regret all the negative thoughts I've been having.

"Lucy, what do you want to eat?" He asked from the kitchen.

"I want to say meat, but I have to eat a salad."

"Got it Luce!"

I heard the refrigerator open and the kitchen started to sing. While I continued to watch my show I called out to Natsu. "Natsu, where do you want to have the baby?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"You know how some parents have their kids at home?"

"Yeah...?"

"Where do you want to have the baby? At home or at the hospital?"

"I think the hospital. You know, you and the baby have a better chance of staying strong while giving birth at the hospital then at home."

"True..."

"But, you never know. Maybe, the baby will be born in the mall for all we know. Plus it cheaper to have birth anywhere but the hopistal."

We both laughed. He came over and brought me my salad. "Thank you Natsu~!"

He nodded. "Lucy, have you come up with a name yet?" I felt my blood go cold.

"Uh...I thought you had the name ready..." He shook his head.

"I'm not good at naming..." He said while continuing to walk to the kitchen.

I looked at my salad and picked up a piece of lettuce. "Nasty..."

"How about Nashi?!" Natsu yelled from the kitchen.

"Nashi? That sounds like a fan made name" I said with a chuckle.

"How about you name her after your mom?"

My eyes widen. Why didn't I think of that? "Wait, Natsu. Are you okay with me naming the baby Layla?"

"Yeah I mean, You're the one doing the work. Not me. I guess you can get first dibs."

"But what happens if the baby's a boy?"

"Uh... I guess you can call him Natsu?"

"In a billion years!!"

"It was just a suggestion!"

"Whatever! We'll just wing it!"

I then tried to push myself of the couch. Natsu came running towards me and helped me up. "Luce, are you ok?"

"Yeah, this belly just gets in the way..." When I got up I felt something wet on my leg.

"Did I just...?! NATSU IT'S HAPPENING!" I yelled.

His eyes popped out of his head and he quickly carried me bridal style. "See why I ask you every ten minutes!"

"Shut up!"

He ran out the house and on to the streets. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going. I kept my eyes open to see a truck about to hit us. "Natsu!"

"I know!" He jumped on top of the truck and we rode on it.

Minutes later, the truck just stopped. Natsu looked over to see what was wrong. "Lucy....I don't think we'll make it to the hospital..."

Natsu P.O.V

I looked up and saw a line of traffic. The hospital is way to far away from where we are to make on foot. The worse thing was, Lucy was starting to go into labor.

I went down to the driver's door. I opened it and asked,"Do you know how to help with birth?!"

"What the hell! How did you--?!"

"Please, do you know how to help deliver a baby?!"

"No! I just see my wife do it!"

"Please! Lucy, my wife, is having a baby. All of this traffic is delaying us. We don't have much time! She's about to give birth!"

"Oh shit! Were is she?!"

"On top of your truck!"

"What?"

"I'll explain later!" I jumped back to the top of the truck and carried Lucy down.

The truck driver ran up to every nearby car and asked them if they knew how to deliver a baby. A few ladies came with him to help. Out of those three ladies was one who looked very familiar. I smiled and waved at her, "LEVY!"

Levy P.O.V

When I saw Lucy on the floor looking like she was about to pop, I couldn't help but panic a little. I ran up to her, kneeled besides her, and yelled,"Lucy, everything is going to be all right! Just keep calm."

I got up and started to command people. "You two ladies help me deliver! Sir, do you have any type of water or blankets, that would be extremely helpful! Natsu! You can...uh... I know! You can hold her hand!" All four of them went on there ways to help. I ran up to Lucy and the other women. The man came back with a blanket.

"Sir! Please ask if anyone has any type of water! Ask anyone!"

I quickly called 911 and said,"This is an emergency! We are stuck in traffic, and my friend is having her baby at this moment. Me and some other women are helping her deliver at the moment. Please send help!"

"Ma'am, if you can give me your current location, we will be there right away." I gave her an estimate of our location and I hung up.

I turned to Lucy and placed the towel on top of her. "Okay Lu-chan! Get ready to push!"

Lucy P.O.V

I'm not ready for this. It's way to sudden for this. The contraction didn't make it better. There was very bad cramping but all over my stomach not just in my lower abdomen. It all hurt so much!

"Push! Push! Push!"

I cried in pain. It felt like I was pushing a watermelon out of my butt, except it was ripping me from the front. "It's going be all right Lucy," Natsu said while trying to comfort me.

"All right? I wouldn't be going through this if it wasn't for you!"

"Lucy..."

"Natsu, Don't say anything. Look, I see the head! Keep going Lucy! Just try and stay focused and don't dwell on the pain!"

"Levy...Is she going to be ok...I mean I've never..."

"Natsu, shut up and help her! Lucy, Just a little more!"

I looked down and saw my baby. My little baby...

After the baby's umbilical cord was cut, and the baby itself was also washed, Levy looked at me and smiled. "Congratulations Lucy! You had a girl!" The medical team finally got here and helped me with the baby.

They took me to the hospital, stitched me up and left me to rest on the bed. Natsu came in."Natsu...I'm never doing this again!"

"I know you're not..."

*** (ONE WEEK LATER)

As I sat on the wheel chair holding my new baby girl Lira. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

What's our new life going to be like?
