Chapter 3- Olaf and the Obnoxious Girl

  Chapter 3

The mystery guy was all smirks. As we went to the opposite sides of the field, I watched as his buddy said something to him and he rolled his eyes.

Lily and Grace ran up to me. "Just beat him please?"she says.

"Who even is he?" I asked Grace. I don't think she would know. But she did.

"That's the one guy I told you about earlier. He and my sister go to the same school. My suited goes on and on about him, it's so annoying. And they play on the school soccer team, and I think he is the team captain, I'm not sure though. My sister some times drags me to their soccer games while she is suppose to be babysitting me. I always play dolls during they're soccer games." She said with a hint of concern, probably for me.

"Oh, don't worry I'll beat him." I say with all confidence I can muster. Oh no.

"Yay go Jess, you can beat him!" Lily cheers as the two girls skip away to the sidelines. Wait, where is Sam? I look around, where the girls are, but don't see him. I turn to where the two stranger dudes are and see... Sam talking to the mystery guy. Then suddenly I see the resemblance. They both have soft light brown hair and bright emerald green eyes. And now that I think about it I do remember Sam mentioning how he had an older brother. Well, I know who he is cheering for.

I quickly threw my hair into a messy high ponytail with the spare hair elastic that was on my wrist.
I can so do this. I thought to myself. I triple knotted my shoes for good luck.

"So are you ready to get beat by a girl or not?" I shout to my opponent from across the field.

"Are you ready to be proven wrong blondie?" He shot back. Oh he did not just go there. At my old school, everyone expected me to be stupid because I was one of the few blondes there. After my parents died they got the courage to call me stupid and blondie repeatedly.

Hoping he didn't see the sadness in my eyes I shouted back at him. "Can we please just start?"

The other dude, his sidekick, whistled with his two fingers in his mouth and yelled. "Game on." He threw the ball high in the air signalling the beginning of the game. I ran towards it. So did he. I knew he had the advantage since he was like 6'1 and muscular, while I had a petite frame of 5'2. So I jogged backwards waiting for him to dribble towards with the ball.

He gives me one last smirk. I roll my eyes back at him.

He dribbles to the left of me passing it back and forth between his feet. When he has it back in his left foot I take this as an opportunity. I swipe the ball from him with my right foot bring the ball to me. I then dribble with the ball towards his open net. He is way behind me, still shocked as to how I have the ball.

I then take a nice perfectly curves shot with my right foot at the net, it curves into the left side of the net. Lily and Grace cheer from the sidelines.

I turn around to see him half shocked, half amazed.

"Never underestimated your opponent." I say to him smiling to myself. My mom used to say this to me and my team. I'll win for you mom.

"Don't worry I won't." He says as his buddy throws him the ball. "You got lucky anyways." He adds, then walks over to the middle of the field to start another play.

Once I walk over to the middle he starts his play. He dribbles it in between his legs once again I prepare myself. He tries to trick me by kicking the ball in between my feet. I let him think he won, then stop the ball as it is about to pass through and in between my legs.

I then take the ball and start dribbling it to his half and towards his net.

He then catches up to me and is about to turn towards the ball but I do the roulette, where I turn by body and the ball and continue sprinting forward with the ball.

As I'm about to take a shot, he suddenly snatches the ball away from me with his left foot and turns with the ball heading towards my side.

I have to sprint to catch up with him and turn to steal the ball but he then slides the ball away from my foot and turns around to the other side.

I somehow manage to jump in front of him, blocking him from net. But he does the unexpected. He puts the ball in between his feet and flicks the ball up, shooting it into the air and flying it behind me. He sprints forward towards the ball, and I have to turn completely around and when I do I see him kicking the ball perfectly high in the net with a swish.

He did the rainbow, I should've thought of that. The rainbow is one of the best dribbling techniques out there.

"It's tied now sweetheart. Remember never underestimate your opponent." He states mocking me. And of course he is smirking too. Oh, how I would love to wipe that smirk off your face by smashing your head into that net over there.

" you should remember that too." I say and before he can make a comeback I turn around and walk over to the centre of the field, where his buddy is standing with the ball.

"Remember first one to three goals wins" He says as if I forgot. I roll my eyes for what feels like the twentieth time.
🌸🌸🌸🌸
5 minutes later

"Okay so it's now 2-2 next goal wins." This guys friend states once again.

"You know, you can still give up, little kitten." The jerk answers arrogantly. Wow, this guy has an ego the size of Russia.

"You know, you can still give up." I say gritting my teeth. He laughs. Yea, you heard right, he literally laughed.

I stomped back to my side. I turn to the sidelines. I see Lily and Grace cheering and waving at me. I smile. I have to win, for all girls out there. We can do anything. I have to win, for my mom.

I turn back to the two dudes, who are having a serious decision. Why? Are they planning to kid nape me or something? They better know I can scream really loud. But no, they just turn and look at me.

"Okay, game on and may the better player win." Shouts the jerks friend. I push my stray strands of hair out of my face. I can so do this.

The jerk starts with the ball since I scored last. He dribbles it around a bit, waiting for me to attack. "Come on now kitten, show me what you can do" he says daringly. And that's actually what I do. I swiftly sprint towards him and in a split second steal the ball away from him.

I then dribble the ball towards his side while doing a couple tricky tricks as I dribble. He catches up to me though and snatches the ball away from me with his right foot.

Uh oh. He then push the ball backwards towards my side and turns his body towards my side too. I have to win. I say to myself in my head repeatedly.

I then notice how he is dribbling it only with his right foot. What is he doing? He never did that earlier. I take the opportunity though and swiftly snatch the ball away from him in one quick movement.

I then sprint down the field with the ball as fast as I can and I don't look back. I'm getting closer to his net. This is it... And I kick the ball with my right foot aiming it at the net.

And I scored! Oh my fudgesicles, I actually won. I break out into the biggest grin in the world. I'm so happy!

I feel two pairs of little arms rap around me. Lily and Grace, they are cheering with me.

I bend down too hug the two girls.

"You were amazing Jess, mom would be so proud." Lily says grinning.

"I know Lily, she would be so proud of both of us" I exclaim hugging her.

I then remember my opponent, the jerk and his buddy are still here. I stand up to face them.

"Good game sweetheart." The jerk said. He then turned and walked away. His buddy followed him, along with little Sam, who was smiling for some reason.

"You too!" I yell to him so he can hear me.

And with that it was just me, Lily and Grace in the field. I guess I'm taking Grace home then?

"Hey Grace do you want to come home with us and you can play with Lily some more?"I ask since I didn't see any parents in the area. We can bring her home after.

"Yea!" She squeals excitedly.

"Okay, we live the closest subdivision to here so it won't be much of a walk. Let's go girls." I say to them, as I retrieve my abandoned soccer ball from the net.

"Yea, me too." Grace exclaims as we walk out of the park.

"Then we can walk you home after too." Say Lily.

"Yep" I agree. "So what are you girls going to do when we get to our house." I ask them. Probably dolls or something.

"Can we play dolls and then watch Frozen?" Lily asks hopefully. I knew it. She has a not normal crazy, addiction to anything Frozen related and princesses.

"Of course"I reply. I'll probably just watch some more amazing Netflix.

"Yay!" They say in perfect unison.

"I call being Elsa!" Grace says, calling dibs. Uh oh, Lily loves Elsa.

"No I'm Elsa! I look just like her." Lily complains. Well it is sorta true. She has golden blonde hair like me and our mothers electric blue eyes, I do too. People always comment to Lily how she looks just like me, when I was her age.

"But I called her first!" Grace says.

"Grace is right Lily, don't worry though you can be Elsa next. " I tell her.

"All right, and Grace I have the Elsa and Anna costumes, so we can dress up as we watch the movie!" Lily exclaims happily.

"Cool. Hey Jess can you be Olaf?" Grace says as we turn into our driveway, hope filling her eyes. Lily has made me be Olaf, multiple times before, since I can't really fit into her tiny little Elsa and Anna costumes. And all I have to do is changed into all white, wear brown mitts and put a bit of orange paint on my nose and she's satisfied.

"All right, I guess so." I say as I open the front door of the house. It was still unlocked, since Nate is still here. He will be staying here until September, when the new school year starts for him as well. But he will also come and check on me and Lily every two weeks.

"Okay, Lily how about you show Grace around the house and then you can put on the Elsa and Anna costumes?" I say to them as we take off our shoes.

"Okay." She says to me. "Let's go Grace. My room is awesome, it's all pink." She says to Grace and she runs upstairs with Grace following her.

I then go downstairs to where my brothers room is. I see him working on a bunch of paper work. He shouldn't have to do that. He's only 20 years old.

"Hey big bro. We're back from the park and Lily brought a friend named Grace with us. We can bring her home after they watch frozen and play dress up." I say to him and then look at the paper work. It was for the old house.

"Okay, let me guess, Lily wants you to be Olaf right?" He asks me already knowing he is right.

"How did you know" I say gasping dramatically. Then we laugh.

"Well I gotta go be Olaf." I say to him and turn around back up the stairs.
🌸🌸🌸🌸
5 minutes later

I just changed into some bright white jeans and a huge fluffy white sweater. Who doesn't love a nice comfy sweater. I also add some orange pastel paint to my nose.

I walk downstairs to the living where the girls are already in there costumes, waiting for me to set the movie up.

They start giggling as I walk into the room. Hahaha, I know I'm hilarious.

I set the movie for them. I tell them I'm going to make popcorn, because every good movie needs popcorn.

I then enter the room a few minutes later to find them singing let it go, with Idina Menzel's voice in the back round as Elsa. I set the popcorn down on the table and let them watch the movie themselves.

I go into my room and go straight to my laptop. Time for some Netflixs. After watching one episode of Pretty little liars, I stand up and stretch. Time to go check on the girls. So I head downstairs to see them still watching the movie, but now sitting quietly.

When the movie is over, we all decide it's time for Grace to go home. After she gives Lily back the Elsa costume, we head out the door.

Then I remember something. I still have the Olaf outfit on. Hoping no one sees me I pull the hoodies hood over my head.

"Okay let's go"I say to the two girls as they both grab my hands, one on each side.

We walk down the sidewalk, with little Grace giving us directions. A couple of minutes later we reach her house. It's pretty modern and like ours it has a cozy feel to it.

"Are your parents home Grace?" I ask her.

She shakes her. "Nope, but my sister and brother are."

"Okay let's go inside." I reply.

Grace then opens the door to her house. "Oh, Lily come see my room, it's pink like yours." She says. Lily then runs after her as Grace runs up the stairs.

"Uh, Lily, we have to go home" I shout after her. I don't want to be left alone in a complete strangers house. I stand awkwardly at the down for only about 30 seconds when a voice startles me. I jump about three feet in the air.

"Who the hell are you?" An annoying, obnoxious girly voice screeches at me. It belongs to a girl about my age who looks like an orange with all the makeup packed on her face.

"Um your sister Grace and my sister Lily meet at the park earlier and since I didn't see any people around we brought her back to our house, then we brought her back home after. Your sister is currently showing Lily her room." I say in one big breath.

"Why do you have orange paint on your face?" She asks me rudely. Why do you?, I'm about to say that to her but decide not to. For some reason I don't want this complete stranger to hate me.

"I'm Olaf." I say simply. She then gives me confused look.

"Lily and Grace were playing frozen dress up and they wanted me to be Olaf."

"Wait so why did you even bring my sister home?" She says, asking yet another stupid question.

" Well, you see you most likely left your little sister at the park and so I being the responsible person I am brought her home." I say snapping at her. I've had enough of her already.

She then stays silent for a second, as if thinking. What is she thinking about, ways to make my life a living hell.

"Okay, first of all I don't even know you so you have to right to talk to my like that bitch. Secondly I did even bring Grace to the park, Sam's gorgeous, total swoon worthy, brother and his friend did." She snaps, suddenly in dreamland about her brothers buddy. Um okay. Wait a sec. She's talking about the jerk I beat earlier and his buddy. Ew gross.

"Um, okay. I'm going to go get my sister and leave now." I say uncomfortably. But I did have to go get my sister because as I look up at the stairs I see her and Grace walking down them.

"Bye Grace, see you at school." She says waving to her new friend as I open the door to the house.

"Bye." Grace replies. I then close the door.

"Did you make a new friend Jess?" Lily asks a minute later talking about that crazy girl. Also known as Graces sister.

"Hahaha, no she's not my friend. I don't think she likes me very much."

"Then she's crazy." She replies. I agree, but not only that reason.

"Yep. So what do you want for supper?" I ask her, ending the conversation about the crazy girl.

"Can I have chicken nuggets and fries?" She asks. Both of us love chicken nuggets and fries. We would always eat more than double what mom, dad, and Nate would eat.

"Of course. I love me, some chicken nuggets!" I say rubbing my belly, causing her to giggle.
🌸🌸🌸🌸
After supper I don't do much. Just read a bit of the selection book and watch a couple more episodes of pretty little liars.

I can't stop thinking about that jerk from the park though. Why is the crazy girl obsessed with him?well she is crazy after all. But after all that I still don't even know his name. I also rethink another thing. Why was Sam smiling as the guys left the park?

And with that last thought I drift off to sleep.
