Chapter 11- Pizza Party
Chapter 11
It is the most amazing dress I have ever seen. It has a silky, shiny back lace layer of fabric, that shines in the light. The material is so delicate that it ripples under my touch, I'm almost afraid to wear it seeing how fine it is. It has these beautiful black laced sleeves that finish of the break-taking dress. I'm not a dressy type of girl, but seriously I'm obsessed with this dress.
It is literally jaw-dropping.
"Well, go try it on." Emma urges, obviously proud of choosing this dress. My reaction must have been pretty crazy.
I go into the bathroom attached to my bedroom and get changed. I slowly and carefully slip on the dress, making sure I don't destroy it.
It is a perfect fit too.
I don't dare look at myself in the mirror yet though.
I walk back out into my room to hear Emma gasping, squealing, and jumping and down al at once.
"Omg! Omg! It's perfect! You look fantastic!" She cheers. "Look at yourself Jess!" She squeals.
I shake my head, suddenly afraid to see what I look like.
"Oh come on. You look like a princess!" She exclaims, trying to pry my hands off of my eyes.
She finally pulls them off and turns me to my tall body sized mirror.
I look at myself with wide eyes. I actually look pretty,I think in my head,
"Darling you look better then just pretty, you look drop-dead gorgeous!" Emma squeals. I guess I said that out loud.
"Whatever." I reply rolling my eyes, but still grinning. "Anyways, you should get dressed too." I add, handing her, her white dress.
I sit there on my bed and wait for Emma to be done. I'm currently texting Spencer, who insisted I add him to my contacts list so that he can bug me when he is bored.
Just getting ready for the party. I text back to him.
Spencer replies almost instantly. Are u still sure u should go? I bet it will be stupid and lame anyways.
I roll my eyes at this. He just won't take I'm going as an answer.
I don't care. I simple text to him.
I look out my window to see Spencer standing in his room, looking back me.
I can see him roll his eyes at me, about my reply.
Spencer looks back down at his phone and starts typing a response.
Nice dress. To bad I won't be there tonight, I don't get to see it up close.
I scrunch up my face at his perverted text. I then text back one word, describing how I feel.
Ew.
I look back out the window to see him smirking.
U love it. Spencer responds.
I'm leaving. Emma has to do my hair and makeup and it might take awhile, since I despise makeup. I text him turning off phone, to look up at Emma who is done changing.
"Oh my fudgesicles, you look perfect!" I compliment her, since I don't squeal that much.
She blushes. "Thanks."
"Okay so do you want a snack before we start with the hair and makeup junk." I say, clapping my hands together and standing up from my bed.
"No, I'm fine." She replies kindly, as she opens her huge bad of makeup.
"Well, I'm hungry. I'll be right." I state and start to walk out of my room, to the kitchen.
"Aren't you always." I hear Emma mumble under her breath.
"Heard that." I call out to her, as I walk down the hallway.
I also hear her giggle at my response.
Once I make it to the kitchen I grab marshmallows, Nutella, and a random bag of chips. I immediately start munching on the chips.
I run back up to my room, while stuffing my face with chips.
Right when I walk into the room Emma shouts at me. "Stop! Stop! You're going to ruin the dress with the crumbs!"
I groan, through a mouthful. "No."
She takes the chip bag, along with the Nutella and marshmallows and tosses them on my bed.
I look at her with wide eyes, like she just killed all my favourite book characters.
She rolls her eyes at me, annoyed. "Anyways let's do your makeup." Emma cheers grinning.
We set up and I sit on my bed and Emma sits on a chair in front of my bed, since I don't have one of those girly mirror, chair, dresser area.
"Now, don't you dare move or try to sneak a chip or anything." She threatens, pointing her finger at me.
"Fine." I grumble. "Oh, wait then." I add.
I stuff in another handful of chips into my mouth.
"Sometimes, I think you act more like a boy then a girl." Emma mumbles.
I gasp and jump up. "I don't not!" I try to shout, but fail miserably because my mouth was full. So it sounded more like. "I dum car!"
"My point exactly." She replies exasperated.
I stick my tongue out at her in response, then sit down with my arms crossed over my chest and pouting.
"Okay let's finally start." Emma states, then examines my face.
"Well I won't torture you to much, since I know you hate makeup. I'll just put on some smokey dark eyeshadow to bring out you're bright blue eyes, maybe red lipstick, mascara, and just a bit of foundation." She exclaims, getting out all of those supplies she listed out.
"Yea, that's not too much." I say sarcastically.
"Yep, it's not." Emma replies smirking, clearly ignoring my sarcasm on purpose.
"Fine. Have fun, dumping stuff on my face." I sigh, getting prepared.
"Yay!" She squeals, then gets straight to work.
About 10 minutes or so later, Emma's done.
"Girl, you look smokin!" She says grinning at her work.
I get up and walk over to the full sized mirror on the other side of my bedroom.
Wow, I do look smokin.
I give a huge smirk through the mirror and that just adds the effect. I don't look like some pathetic little orphan, goody-two-shoes, petrified girl anymore. I look fierce. I look deadly. And I love it.
The only thing that stands out is my imperfect hair, since we haven't done anything to it yet.
"Thanks so much Emma!" I praise her, well grinning from ear to ear.
"No problem! So I'm going to go do my makeup now in the bathroom. So you can do whatever, while I'm doing that. Just don't eat chips, but if you decide to not listen me just don't eat them like a pig and shove them in you're mouth." Emma explains with a huge smile.
When she is doing her makeup, I just sit around. I scroll through Instagram and munch on marshmallows carefully, so I don't smug the red lipstick.
Emma soon comes out of the bathroom looking flawless as ever. She choose dark red lipstick, glittering eyeshadow with a bit of dark brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and a tad of foundation.
"Emma! You look ravishing!" I cheer, clapping for her.
She takes a dramatic bow. "Why thank you."
"Now all we need is the hair." I exclaim, folding up the half eaten bag of delicious marshmallows.
"Yep. So I want to curl you're hair, because it will look even more beautiful." Emma exclaims, getting her curler out.
"Sure" I say, grabbing my hairbrush.
"It's going take awhile since you're hair is so long and thick." She replies, gently combing my hair with my hairbrush I handed her.
Emma starts curling my hair. It took quick awhile but so worth it.
It completed my outfit. My hair went in soft perfect curls to just above my waist. It also helps that I don't usually straighten or curl my hair, so I don't have anyway dead ends or breakage. It made me look beautiful, I have to admit. To bad I don't look like this all the time. Instead I usually look like a zombie or something.
"Darling, if you're not going to say it I am. You look prettier then a supermodel." She squeals, proud of her work.
I don't know how to respond.
"Anyways I'm just going to to straighten my hair or something in the bathroom." Emma exclaims, grabbing her straightener and hair supplies.
I slowly sit back down on my bed, careful not to ruin my hair.
I play some games on my phone while I wait. I'm currently playing candy crush. I'm sorta addicted to it, I'm on level 96.
Shortly after I pass level 96 Emma enters my room again. She looks astonishing too. Her hair is straightened and has the front pieces French braided back on each side to the back of her head.
"Girl, you look amazingly perfect! I love you're hair like that!" I compliment, clapping once again.
"Aww thanks, I don't usually wear my hair like this because it takes awhile and I'm sometimes lazy." She responds, sitting down beside me.
"Well, we are practically ready, all we have to do is pick our shoes, and we can do that before we leave." I exclaim sighing, even though I did like nothing I'm pooped.
"What time is it anyways." She asks, also tired.
I check my phone. "5:07."
"Okay, we can just hang around for a couple of hours, since it starts at 8:00 but we should be fashionably late and come at about 8:30." Emma explains, thoughtfully. She starts packing her makeup and hair supplies into her bags.
"Yep. Do you want something to eat for dinner?" I ask, helping her with all the makeup.
"Sure, what would we have?" Emma replies.
"Pizza?" I suggest, my eyes lighting up.
"Of course! You are obsessed with pizza!" She answers, giggling.
"Um yea, who isn't?" I question jokingly.
"Whatever, let's finish putting all this away, then we can eat." Emma states, reasonably.
"Okay, I'm just going to go order the pizza, is pepperoni good?" I reply. My favourite topping is definitely pepperoni. I also like most of the other ones as well though, so don't get mad.
"Definitely." She exclaims happily.
With that I go downstairs and call the pizza restaurant nearby and order a large pepperoni pizza. After about half an hour the pizza delivery guy arrives with the heavenly food. I then pay him and Emma and I dig into the yummy, fresh pizza.
When we are done it is approximately 6:15. Since we are also finished putting all the hair and makeup supplies we just hang around in the living room and watch a movie.
"Hey can I see you're phone? I'm going to add myself into you're contact list." Emma suggests.
"Sure." I hand her my phone from beside me.
She looks through my phone. "Ah, you have Spencer in you're contacts." Emma states wiggling her eyebrows.
I roll my eyes. "So?"
"You two seem pretty cozy, and he hates everyone but Parker and now you." She exclaims smirking.
"Whatever." I reply brushing it off.
"Fine, let's just watch the movie." Emma sighs, handing my back my phone after putting her number in.
And with that we finish watching the movie. It was some funny chick flick. By the time it's over it's about 8:10.
"We should probably freshen up and choose our shoes. Then we can leave." Emma says stretching.
I nod my head in response. I straighten my dress once I get up.
In about 15 minutes Emma touches up my lipstick, hair ,and eye makeup.
We also choose our shoes. Emma decides to wear slick white heels, and I choose soft black heels with jewels on the tip of the toes.
"Jess, we look hot!" Emma exclaims smirking.
"We sure do." I reply smirking back. "We should get going now." I add, after looking ahead the time on my phone.
"Yep. I'll give you the directions along the way." Emma says, grabbing her small purse.
I grab mine, my keys, and my phone. I lock the front door and we get into my car. We then head off.
Emma gives me the directions as I drive. It takes about ten minutes to get there since it is on the totally different side of town, the supposed rich side.
As we walk up to the mansion I gape at it. "Holy crap! This is like a palace!" I exclaim with my jaw dropped.
Emma giggles at my astonishment. "Yep, I wasn't kidding when I said has five floors!"
"Let's go inside." I shout over the music that is blaring from in the house/mansion.
She nods in agreement.
It's already packed with people dancing and getting drunk. It is like a regular high school party but crazier and with more people.
There is this huge entrance way right when we walk in. There is a huge white staircase that goes around the ginormous room. It leads upstairs. On the left of the entrance way is a huge living room and on the right is a giant fancy dinning room.
The whole area is packed with everyone.
"This is crazy." I shout to Emma beside over Major Lazer's lean on, currently being blasted.
I look around and see many of the popular's that go to our school. There is also many college students.
Suddenly I see two familiar faces, that I did not at all expect to see here. Since one of the, just awhile ago claimed that it would be stupid and lame anyways.
I walk up to them in confusion. Emma follows me.
"Why the fudge are you here?" I say to them, with both confusion and sass.
"Nice to see you to kitten." He exclaim smirking.
Spencer's eyes roam all over my body, and I squirm uncomfortable under his stare.
His forest green eyes bright in the lighting, make they're way up to my face once again.
"I thought you said earlier and quote this, "I bet it's stupid and lame anyways." I mince him, using a deep voice but doesn't quite sound as deep as his.
Spencer rolls his eyes. "I changed my mind."
"Obviously." I mumble under my breath.
And with that Spencer randomly strolls away. Parker gives be an apologetic glance as the two walk away.
"Let's go get some drinks!" Emma suddenly pipes up from beside me once they leave our view.
"I guess, I'm not really the drinking type of person though." I exclaim sighing. I've never liked any alcohol, just the taste is disgusting.
"Just have one. I'm only having a few." She replies as we walk into the kitchen.
"Fine." I state and grab a small can of beer.
Emma grabs a beer as well.
"We are going to party now!" She cheers loudly. Emma already drank 3 beers in the past 15 minutes and she is already drunk.
Now she is currently slow dancing with some random guy, who is already wasted. But they aren't really slow dancing, more like jumping up and down crazily to the slow song.
Huh, who knew alcohol brought out Emma's not so shy side?
Suddenly someone pokes me lightly on the shoulder.
I turn around to see some guy who looks around my age or a few years older. He has sandy, curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Would you like to dance?" He shyly asks.
I nod my head. "Sure." I exclaim smiling kindly at him.
We walk onto the huge fancy dance floor that has been set up.
I wrap my hands around his neck and he wraps his arms around my waist.
I decide to make small talk to fill the awkward silence.
"I'm Jessica, but everyone calls me either Jess or Jessa. What's you're name?" I say as we continue to dance close to one another.
"I'm Theodore but everyone calls me Theo." He replies with an adorable crooked grin.
He is so hot, a little voice in my head says.
That little voice sure is right. Theo is perfectly muscular and tall. He also has a sun kissed tan. He probably surfs or swims. Ah, surfer boy.
Not as hot as Spencer, another voice erupts abruptly.
I ignore my inside thoughts and continue to talk to Theo.
"Do you go to North wood high?" I randomly blurt out.
He chuckles. "No, I go to the Eberly community college. I'm a freshmen there. I did go to North wood though." Theo exclaims.
Shortly after the song is over and we part our separate ways.
Unexpectedly someone grabs ahold of my wrist.
I quickly turn around with wide eyes.
"Spencer you scared me." I sigh. I suddenly take notice at the concern latched in his eyes. "What? What's the matter?"
"You should go, something bad is going to happen." Spencer rushes out.
"Why?" I ask alarmed.
He doesn't respond though. Instead Spencer pulls me trying to get me to move.
"Wait! I have to find Emma!" I exclaim stopping.
"No kitten, really we don't have time, you have to go now!" He shouts frustrated.
"It won't take that long. I'll leave okay? You can let me go. Trust me." I softly speak trying to coach him to leave me.
Spencer sighs and runs his fingers through his hair stressed. "Fine. Just hurry. And go as fast as you can." He softly replies looking me straight in the eyes.
I nod my head in reply.
He slowly let's go of my arm warily, not sure he should trust me to leave alone and without watching me.
With one last glance I head off. I rush in the direction I last saw Emma.
It takes me awhile but I soon find her talking to some guy.
I awkwardly pull her away from the dude.
"Emma, we have to go." I quickly state.
She gives me confused look. "Why?"
"I don't know. Spencer said something bad is going to happen if I stay, and we should leave immediately." I reply slowly.
She sighs but soon agrees. "Fine, at least I had some fun." She huffs out annoyed.
We make our way to the enormous entrance room, where practically everyone is.
We try to push past everyone, and it takes awhile.
Suddenly a voice books through the whole house.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the party! Time for some entertainment!" Clarissa shouts holding a microphone at the middle of the fancy stairs circling us.
Everyone cheers at the entertainment part she mentions
"Now has everyone heard of the new girl at North wood high. Jessica Michaels." She randomly says. What's up with this?
Most people nod there heads to say they have heard of me.
Without warning a spotlight appears on me.
"Ah, hi Jessica." She grins with a weird glint in her eyes.
I give her a confused look in return.
"So I hear that you love pizza. Is that true?" Clarissa questions still upstairs.
Me and Emma are directly underneath her so all I have to do is look up to see her.
I give her weak nod.
She gives a wicked grin at this.
"Well, that's perfect, because tonight we are going to make you feel like a pizza."
Huh?
I turn to look at Emma in confusion but she looks at me frozen with wide eyes.
I look back up to see a giant bucket of something being dunked down on me.
I instantly squeeze my eyes shut knowing the familiar substance. I didn't have time to jump out of the way so I stood frozen.
I feel the splat of the disgusting substance being poured all over me.
I can tell it is tomato sauce, but there is a catch it's rotten tomato sauce at least 2 years old.
In the background I hear cackles of laughter and people pulling out their phones to capture the horrendous moment of my life.
Thinking the worst is over I wipe my eyes and squint at everyone.
But oh was I so wrong. The worst hasn't even came.
