A/N: HEHE, I'M SPEED WITH THIS BOOK BOII- Anyways.. not really any long A/N's rn so uhh.. yeah! Let's get into it! Now incase you might kill me.. heres what happened during Veteran and Player hanging out in the cafeteria: They just hung out, that's it- Anyways.. they have been in the mission for 4 days now! :DD now.. this is day 5.

Summary: Player being the sleep deprived bean, Veteran (KINDA) Stalkin.. hm- and some nice BroNja being awake at 3AM like weirdos, also.. breaking up?....

• Player's POV

[Current Time: 11:39PM]

After the usual of a long day hanging out with Veteran it was time to sleep. I did my usual, go to the bathroom to clean up and change to my regular clothing, fix my bed up so I can sleep properly and then just lay there and think about absolute nothingness.

You would think I would be able to sleep now normally now that I've been in this mission for 4 days now but.. no.

3 hours later..*+
[Current Time: 2:46AM]

As usual.. I'm sleeping at the Cafeteria again..

I wasn't able to sleep in my room like I was suppose to do here if I'm honest.. I don't wanna drink sleeping pills everyday either. Sometimes Captain or Mr. Egg wakes up around these times and ask me why I'm still awake, I don't really say anything other than: "I can't sleep."

I also bring my blanket now with me, I don't wanna freeze to death while sleeping y'know? I still don't know who gave me that blanket the first night I was here tho.. But I'm glad they cared enough to not let me freeze to death that night.

Although now that I think about it.. It was yellow, pastel yellow to be exact.. I saw the same looking blanket from Veteran's room while checking for any potential weapons for him in his cabinet too.. maybe he woke up at some point during that night and covered me in the blanket? Maybe.. not sure.

I really liked the Cafeteria windows.. it really shows the void of space very clearly. To the exoplanets, the luminous stars, the black-ish blue sky is just mesmerizing to me.. It helps me fall asleep faster but.. it's not always effective as it is.

As I was staring at the giant windows of the Cafeteria I heard the door of the Cafeteria open.. Who could be awake at 2AM Right now?... I thought.

• Veteran's POV

My usual.. waking up at 2AM.

No, I'm not waking up at 2AM as usual because I can't sleep, not anything like that. I wake up during these times cause.. of Player.

Ever since the first day he's always around here at these times.. and- I have heard rumors of ghosts in the Skeld sometimes like that Novisor legend thingy.. of course that's not the only reason why I check up on him at these times but also because he sometimes forget to bring a blanket on his own, good thing is now he remembers.

I unlocked the Cafeteria door to check up on him only to notice- Ah crap- I thought.

Player saw me, welp- he's gonna be asking a whole ton of questions now..

"Veteran?.. What are you doing still awake??" Player says while standing up from his sitting position. "Uhhh.. I WAS UH- HUNGRY? YEAHH.." I said, trying to make up a lie during the situation I was in. "You're always hungry." Player says then chuckles afterwards.

"Haha, very funny." I said while heading towards him. "I know that's a lie, Veteran. Why are you really here?" Player says. Damn it, how is he so smart at times then- just becomes a loveable idiot?? wait did I just say loveable? yep somethings very wrong with me. I thought.

"Well.. it's cause uhh.." I stuttered, I kinda didn't wanna tell him I randomly check up on him at 2AM in case something bad happens to him y'know? I might sound like a frickin' stalker-

"Is it because you think I might forget to bring a blanket again?" Player says. Wait.. did he just read my mind?? I thought. "Wait how did y-" Before I can finish my sentence, Player interrupts me. "I know because I remember getting covered by a pastel yellow blanket the first night I slept here, that was you right?" Player says

I couldn't really.. deny it anymore.. so, I confirmed it to him. "Okay fine you caught me, it was me." I said. Player at first was shocked then smiles at me afterwards. "Aww thanks.. I didn't know you cared that much for me when we met!" Player says. "Obviously I'd care- What am I to you? A monster who leaves a person freeze to death? Hell no!" I said.

Player laughs at my statement. "Sorry, this whole.. "someone other than Dum and my family caring for me" is very new to me.." Player says. I got a bit.. confused by what he said? "What do you mean?" I said confusingly. "It's just.. I've never really had.. a friend? Y'know? It's kinda new to me.." Player says.

What he said definitely didn't sit right with me. "So you're saying.. You've never had a friend like.. ever?" I asked. Player thinks for a moment. "Well.. yeah? I guess so.. If I have to be real here, I've always been bullied almost everywhere I go.. so I thought.. that would be the same here.." Player says.

"Well if anyone tries to bully you they're gonna have to go through me first!" I said. Player looked happy to hear that. "Thanks Veteran.. you're a really good friend.." Player says. That touched me right at home. "O-oh! You're welcome dude!" I said. I was a little flustered by what he said and technically, I kinda blushed by it? Just a little.

At some point I was.. kinda hungry? Wow, I did not expect to get hungry at 2AM but whatever..

"This might be weird but- Dude I'm hella hungry.." I said. Player laughs. "As I said before, you're always hungry!" Player says while laughing once again afterwards.

I decided I might as well make myself some food.. nobody knows this but I'm pretty good at cooking. I like making ramen sometimes if ever there's some ingredients for it.

"I guess I'll make myself some ramen- see ya Player!" I said. Player looked shocked for a moment. "Wait.. what's ramen?" Player asks. I was so shocked.. he doesn't know what that is?.. "It's like.. some type of Japanese noodle soup? yeah, like that." I said.

Player looked curious about it, I was a little confused how he doesn't know it? But.. alright. "You know how to make those?" Player asks. "Well yeah all I need are the ingredients, and from what I've heard.. they do have some of it." I said. Player looked like he was about to ask something from me, but he suddenly stopped from doing that action.

"Is it okay i- uhh.. nevermind." Player says. From what I can only assume, I think he wanted me to make him some. "Lemme guess.. you want one?" I asked.

Player went silent for a moment.. "N-NO! I MIGHT BE TOO MUCH OF A BOTHER AHAHA.." Player says, nervously laughing afterwards. To be fair.. I wouldn't mind making him some.. "You're not a bother! Plus, you really need to try it!" I said optimistically.

Player kept protesting or I guess.. making accusations of how I shouldn't make it for him?.. either way, I went to the Kitchen and started looking for the ingredients to make it..

• Player's POV

"Veteran it's fine! YOU. DON'T. NEED. TO." I said. "Too bad, I'm gonna and you can't stop me!~" Veteran says while heading to the Kitchen. I knew it was pointless to run after him so, I didn't.

To be honest.. I didn't want him to make it just cause I don't want him to be bothered by me as it is.. I'm already a bother to anyone. I'm.. kinda surprised he actually is that determined to make some for me tho.

"NINJA! IT WASN'T- IT WASN'T ME I SWEAR! I WOULD NEVER!" Someone yells from.. the corridor of the dormitory.. (Before we get to it.. yes, Ninja speaks english cause, it's great for the plot xD Okay, no, He learned both English and Japanese as a kid.)

"Bro.. I'm sorry.. I really can't believe you right now.." Someone says, a bit low toned but still can be heard. "You know how much that meant to me." Someone said.

It sounded like it came from the Dormitory halls..

"Veteran, I'm gonna go to the dormitory for a few minutes!" I said. "Alright, go ahead!" Veteran says.

I unlocked the Cafeteria doors and made my way to the Dormitory.

There I see.. Bro and Ninja arguing?..

"I SWEAR NINJA.. I CAN'T DO THAT.. ESPECIALLY TO YOU!.." Bro exclaims. "Bro, you're the only one I let in my room, it's impossible for it to be someone else." Ninja says. Bro went silent and looked down at the ground. "I think.. you already know what this means.." Ninja says, walking away from Bro.

"You can't be serious.." Bro says. "I'm sorry.." Ninja says.

Ninja walks away and goes back to his dorm while Bro? He just stood there looking at the ground..

I didn't wanna bother him, nor let him know I saw that whole thing come crashing down to him but.. I still did wanna comfort him in any way I can.. Maybe tomorrow?

I slowly walked away, feeling pity for Bro along the way..

I unlocked the Cafeteria doors and sat down at the Cafeteria tables.

"Player what happened?" Veteran asks while heading to me, he wasn't done cooking it but he was waiting for it to be cooked. "I think.. Bro and Ninja broke up or some sort?.." I said. "Oh god.. that escalated quickly huh?" Veteran says. "Yeah.." I said.

"Do you think Bro will uhh.. eat tomorrow or do his tasks?.." Veteran asks. "I think after that whole fiasco.. he might not.." I said.

Around chapter 10 to 11.. the timeline will change from them being in the ship for 2 or 3 weeks so do NOT get confused by that!...
