A/N: Mkay, this book is getting a lot of attention.. I left for a few hours to see it gone from 300+ to 500+ views/reads.. you guys are insanity.. anyway.. This takes place 2 days after Veteran being sad sad and Player being a frickin' therapist. :))

Veteran workin' and Mr. Cheese sufferin at some way.

• Veteran's POV

[Current Time: 9:31AM]

"I'M GONNA WIN!" Player exclaims. "NO- NO- DAMN IT!" I exclaimed.

"Victory!" Says on Player's side of the TV screen.

"HAH! You owe me 10 bucks this time, Veteran." Player says. I stubbornly took my wallet out of my drawer and gave him 10 bucks. "Thaaank you!" Player says while grabbing the 10 bucks. "This is like- the 2nd time I had to give you money." I said while closing my drawer. He laughs. "Hehe~ Have fun losing your allowance~" Player says. "Player I swear-" Before I can finish my sentence, the speaker interjects it.

"Veteran, TheGentleman, please come to the Cafeteria!" Captain announces from the speakers.

"Oh.." Player says. I stood up from my sitting position. "Welp, looks like I'm called.. see ya homeslice!" I said. "Aw, see ya!" Player says. I waved goodbye to Player and left him at my room.

We've been hanging out a lot recently..almost like- 24/7 everyday- I enjoy his company a lot. Sometimes we talk for half the day! That's insane compared to when me and Greaser were friends..

I headed to the Cafeteria like what Captain told me to do.. If this is about what happened 2 days ago I swear I'm strangling him. Captain has been asking if I was alright the last few 2 days and I did say I'm fine.. he still doubts me tho.. Heck why do people even care for me anyway?

I finally arrived after a few minutes of walking from the dormitory to the main hall. Only Captain and TheGentleMan were present.. huh. "Hey Veteran!" Captain says. "Hello Veteran." TheGentleMan says. "Hey." I said. "Sooo, what's the matter?" I asked Captain. "I received the task info's." Captain says. I was shocked at first since.. we passed Mars 3 days ago.. "Wait ho-" But before I can finish my sentence, Captain interrupts me.

"I received it while we were already heading towards Mars, I didn't tell you guys yet because I read them first to check if they were correct." Captain says. I was a little angry, I was worrying for absolutely no reason the whole time? geez.. "Now, what exactly is your point Captain?" TheGentleMan asks.

"Pretty obvious TheGentleMan, we gotta get ready for work! Cause tomorrow.. we start our tasks." Captain says. "Well you guys better start soon since ya know.. I'm the one whose gonna give 'em to the crew and all.." I said. "Yes yes will be quick." TheGentleMan says.

"Alright then, Veteran you go to Security, we will send you each task through those computers. TheGentleMan, Let's go to Comms and start organizing those tasks!" Captain says. Captain dragged TheGentleMan with him to Communications, leaving me to go to Security.

This is going to be a long day.. I thought. I went to the dormitory once again to go to my room to.. get my tablet and my nintendo switch. Okay, for the tablet is self explanatory. The Nintendo tho? also yes. I'm gonna be waiting for them to organize those so I might as well do other stuff while they do some of their works.

I took out my keycard from my pocket and unlocked my door. Player is apparently still there. "So what did they need you to do?" Player asks. "I uhh.. I gotta start doing my role." I said. Player frowned a little bit. "Aw, I wanted to play games with you more.." Player says. "Eh, as long as their fast than I can come back in probably 5 hours or so." I said.

"Alright..see ya." Player says. "See ya!" I said. I took my nintendo switch from my nightstand drawers and left.

I headed to Security. Security has one of the biggest monitors/computers around the Skeld so this is where I usually have to stay at to give tasks. You might think it's easy but if you're not familiar with the technology NASA uses you might lose some braincells on your way out.

Lucky for me I was a pretty smart student back then so this was no big deal. NASA did teach me some of their ropes as well although they were just small infos for the actual thing.

I arrived at Security and sat at the chair, opened the monitor and started waiting for a notification that the tasks were organized and ready to be delivered to everyone's tablets. Since it might take a while for Captain and TheGentleMan to actually organize those I decided to just- play games with my nintendo switch for the meantime..

4 hour later.. *+

"Victory!"

And as usual.. I won again. Seriously.. Everytime I play with Player I lose.. and he wins, sometimes even I get confused how but.. when I'm alone I always win.. that's strange. To be honest I'm sometimes happy I lose.. when you're a winner you get enemies along the way y'know?

"Geez, how long are they going to take?" Someone says. I kinda got goosebumps from that.. I turned around to see who that was.

Player? I thought.

"Hey!" Player says.

"Player- what are you doing here?" I asked. "Oh, I got bored waiting." Player says. Player walked over to me and checked what I was doing. "Why are you playing games exactly?" Player says. "Well, they are organizing the tasks right now so I gotta wait." I said. "Oof, that must be rough.." Player says. "Nahh, at least I have some freetime to spare." I said.

"Eh still, the hard part is you delivering those tasks.." Player says. I can't help but agree with that. "You got a point." I said. "How long will it takee? I'm so bored.." Player says. I chuckled. "Are you saying you have that much freetime that all you would do is hang out with me all the time?" I said. "Yep!" Player says. Wow.. he sure is lucky-

"Do you think Captain would let me hang out with you for a bit in here?" Player asks. I thought for a moment. Would he?..I thought. I didn't have a straight answer for it but.. I assumed why not. "Eh, I guess? I mean.. I'm not s-" But before I can finish, Player interrupts me. "Yeah yeah, I'm allowed." Player says.

"But- I'm not too sure with that yet.." I said worryingly. "Well, it's not like you have anything else to do right now." Player says. Okay- he's right with that one. "Mkay, you win." I said. Player laughs. "Hehe, I win again!" Player says. I sometimes find him adorable in that state, where he gets competitive I suppose.. I thought. Wait what the hell.. what the actual hell did I just thought of.. I thought again.

As that thought suddenly appeared I completely forgot Player was around during that moment. "Uhh, Veteran- You okay??" Player asks. That got me out of focus from my thoughts. "U-UH.. YEAHH- I'M FINE.." I said. Player doesn't seem to believe it tho.. "Seriously, I'm not stupid." Player says. "What do you mean?" I said.

"Obviously somethin's wrong.. did I do somethin' wrong?" Player asks. That made me feel guilty since.. he didn't even do anything and accidentally thought that he did. "H-HEY NO!" I said. "Mhm.. alright.." Player says. "N-no really.. It's not you." I said. Player doubted it for a moment then smiles. "You sure?" Player says. "I'm very sure." I said.

Player laughs. "Alright then!" Player says. Phew.. that could have gone wrong in a multitude of ways..

During that moment the notification of the tasks being organized popped up at the monitors screen. Player looked very happy to see that. "Finally!" Player says. "I should be the one saying that." I said. Player giggles.

I started trying to give the tasks to each of everyones tablets. Player watches me do so, he looked shocked I knew how it works. "Woahh.. how are you doing it so flawlessly??" Player asks. "Eh, It's not that hard if you know the tech NASA uses." I said. "Shame I don't." Player says. I chuckled.

I firstly gave myself my tasks.

Veteran:
[Admin: Swipe Card.]
[Communications: Upload Data.]
[Shields: Prime Shields.]
[MedBay: Submit Scan.]

Then Player's tasks.

Player:
[MedBay: Inspect Samples.]
[Electrical: Upload Data.]
[O2: Empty Chute.]
[Communications: Divert Power To Communications.]

Then Captain's..

Captain:
[Reactor: Start Reactor.]
[O2: Divert Power to O2.]
[Cafeteria: Upload Data.]
[Admin: Swipe Card.]

I gave all the tasks to each and everyone of the crewmates. Each time I gave a person their tasks takes 30 minutes so it took a while since we were 11 crewmates. Some of us got the same tasks while some didn't and got a completely different one.

Player stayed there, watching me give all the tasks while at the same time talking to me. It didn't make me lose focus whatsoever, I was still able to keep my focus and multitask on both.

It took 5 hours for me to finish on giving all the tasks in total. I'm surprised Player wasn't tired on staying beside me.

"I'm done." I said. "Finally! Phew I thought we were gonna stay here for what? 9 hours?" Player says. I chuckled on that. "Hah, same." I said. At some point I did get hungry during giving tasks to the others. "Uh Player, I might need to uhh.. Eat for a bit." I said. "Go ahead, I'll follow you." Player says. "You sure?" I asked. "Mhm!" Player says.

I stood up from my seat, turned off the monitor and left Security with Player behind me.

We headed to the Cafeteria, talking to each other in the process. We arrived after a few minutes and sat down in one of the chairs. Mr. Cheese and TheGentleMan were also present.

• Mr. Cheese's POV

[Location: Cafeteria]

I was talking to TheGentleMan today, like any normal day. I always talk to him since we're business associates. Mr. Egg wasn't around which.. kinda concerned me but.. okay. Wait.. why am I concerned again? I thought.

"Mr. Cheese, you okay? you seemed uhh.. troubled?" TheGentleMan says. I lost my train of thought for a second. "Oh, yes, yes I am!" I said. TheGentleMan doubts it tho... "Are you sure? You also seem a bit jumpy today I must say." TheGentleMan says. Oh great.. now I have to deal with this shenanigan. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said, it kinda sounded aggressive tho..

TheGentleMan went silent for a moment. "Are you thinking of someone right now? other than me?" TheGentleMan says. What the.. is he some type of mind reader?! I thought. "Ehhh- Kinda?? Yeah? No? Maybe?" I said, indecisively. "I wonder.. whom are you thinking of?" TheGentleMan asks.

"That's a little bit of unclassified information, TheGentleMan." I said. "Hmm.." TheGentleMan thinks for a few seconds, wondering whom I might be thinking of.. I did not like that. "Mr. Egg perhaps?" TheGentleMan says. That shocked me, how did he guess it right?!

"N-no.. That's wrong!" I said, although it wasn't that convincing. TheGentleMan smirks. "You sure?.." TheGentleMan says. "Yes obviously." I said. "Then what if I ask Mr. Egg to come here? Then if I see you on a happy mood then.. my guess will be correct, right?" TheGentleMan says. I was definitely not pleased with that.

"WAIT NO DON'T ASK HIM TO COME HERE.. Besides, He might be busy in his own room." I said. "I didn't know you cared about him being busy.. you usually go to his house like nothing back then." TheGentleMan says. "UH.." I stuttered, I didn't have an excuse nor anything to say.

I was too late to stop TheGentleMan, he went to the dormitory and of course.. I followed. I don't like being alone, It's kinda a fear of mine. Obviously I do like being alone sometimes but most of the time I really need someone to be with me at all times.

"Uhh.. what if he's still sleeping?? We would break his sleep y'know?.." I said, trying to convince TheGentleMan to not call Mr. Egg. "Mr. Cheese, you know full well he wakes up very early than the rest of us." TheGentleMan says. True.. "Well.. Either way I don't wanna disturb him." I said. "You literally barge into his house almost all the time back then." TheGentleMan says.

Okay.. he has a point. I was silent, I couldn't convince him either way.

Once we arrived to Mr. Egg's dorm I hid behind TheGentleMan. He knocks on Mr. Egg's door in the process..

Mr. Egg unlocks his door and greets me and TheGentleMan. "Hm? Oh, Hello you two.." Mr. Egg says. "Hello Mr. Egg." TheGentleMan says. "Hey." I said. "Mr. Cheese said he wanted to hang out with you for a bit." TheGentleMan said. I blushed a little from that, he didn't need to tell him, geez..

"O-oh! is that so?" Mr. Egg asks. I didn't wanna respond at first but hey? What am I suppose to do? "Yes.." I said. "Alright, I'll leave you two uh.. together for now, I have other businesses to attend to anyway." TheGentleMan said, walking away while waving.

"See you later sir!" Mr. Egg says. "See ya!" I said. As TheGentleMan left both of us alone Mr. Egg invited me to his room.

His room was really nice, and cozy- I'll give it 10/10 stars if it was a hotel by now.. It was organized unlike mine which probably looks like a dumpster. Mr. Egg sat down at his bed and I followed so. To be fair.. I usually act all mean to Mr. Egg so at first I was a little mean? But I did get nice and all that after a few minutes, I think he was pleased.

We talked about the past mostly, we laughed and joked about it. It's kinda adorable when he laughs like that.. I thought. Oh cheese louise what the heck did I just say?! I thought again.

"Mr. Cheese, you alright?" Mr. Egg asks. I lost my focus of my thoughts. "Yeah I'm fine! Geez.." I said, it sounded harsh tho.. "Okay.." Mr. Egg says.

Overall, talking and hanging out with him was.. shockingly fun..
