In the end
Marinette clutched the collar of Adrien shirt tightly and drew herself closer to him. She whispered something but he couldn't hear her. She turned around and stepped away from him. He called for her but she didn't turn back. Her eyes were glaring into the skull of Diana Moon, the Handicapper.
"Get off the stage little girl." She said bitterly. Then she looked at the audience and grabbed a microphone. "You need to evacuate now. Unless you think your smarter than I." She cocked the barrel of her gun and pointed it at the Cellist. "Would you like to Protest."
"No one is listening to you!" The cellist boomed. She shot the gun which went straight through his instrument and hit his chest. He gasped and staggered backwards before falling over, dead.
"Now they are." She grinned cruelly. The crowd was silent. She certainly had caught their attention. "Citizens of Paris! You are in immediate danger! Evacuate the premises immediately or protest as this man had!"
Marinette stumbled backwards into Adrien who caught her. She trembled in his arms, but he was to stunned to comfort her.
"General we took care of the bomb. Everything is safe now." A man said in the radio of the Handicapper's ear. She pressed her finger to it and responded.
"Take it away so we can identify who put it there. And I want to see how much respect these ungrateful humans show the government." She sais back quietly. "Well?!" She hummed Loudly to the crowd.
An old woman stood up in the panicked crowd and raised a hand. Her voice cracked as spoke, but she sounded wise and melodic. Her voice cracked slightly as she started to sing, surprising the entire room.
"Well I've heard there was a secret chord..." she began. It was unmistakably Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. She waited, pausing for a few seconds, then continued. "That David played and it pleased the Lord..."
She looked around to see if any one would join her. A Viola stood up and started to play along with the woman singing.
"But you don't really care for music, do you?" She looked right at the handicapper general. Diana Moon was amused by their pathetic protest of sorts. When the woman continued, a few other people had stood up in the crowd to sing. One that stood out to Marinette was her own mother. She was even more scared.
"Well it goes like this: The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift" they sang together even if some were terrible and others sounding like angels. With each line another person would join, or stand up and listen. "The baffled king composing Hallelujah!"
The crowd sang together during the chorus, "Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah!"
"Silence!" The handicapper shrieked. Models from her own annoyance.
"Well your faith was strong but you needed proof" the continued anyways. "You saw her bathing on the roof"
"Marinette" Adrien whispered gently in her ear.
"Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya"
"Yes?" She replied.
"She tied you to her kitchen chair"
"Will you dance with me?" He asked sweetly, cupping her hands in his. She was facing him now and studied his mask before answering.
"And she broke your throne and she cut your hair!"
"If you'll take my hand." She answered.
"And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah!" The crowd began to sing together again. "Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah!"
Adrien placed a hand on Marinette's hip. They began a strange mix between a waltz and ballet, circling each other arm in arm, a gorgeous embrace. Marinette laid her head on Adrien's chest, humming along to the choir.
"But baby I've been here before"
Adrien spun Marinette in a circle from his hand, then pulled her close. Half the audience sang, and the other half watch the dancers. Adrien whispered once again in Marinette's as their dancing became natural once more.
"Take of your weights." He whispered. Marinette was surprised by his request.
"I've seen this room and I've walked this floor"
"Why?" Marinette asked.
"Prove to the Handicapper we don't need to be equal." He answered. Marinette thought about it for a while.
"Protesting?" She commented.
"We're in live TV. She can't harm us." Adrien soothed.
"You know, I used to live alone before I knew ya"
"Stop now!" The handicapper pointes her gin threateningly around the room.
"Ok." Marinette noises and reached behind her back and uncoupled her chest weight. It fell to the floor with a loud thud. This caught Diana Moon's attention, and her gun was now pointed at them. Marinette flinched.
"It's alright M'lady. It will be all worth it in the end." Adrien cooed. He installed his chest plate and it fell next to Marinette's.
"And What if we die?" She asked.
"Then we can be with each other eternally and free." Adrien smiled. With her permission, he took off both his and her arm weights. Then unstrapped the ankle weights. Marinette and Adrien never felt so free in their life.
" And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a-"
"SILENCE!" The handicapper shout her pistol at the ceiling rapid fire. The singing and playing stopped, and Marinette and Adrien were still. "There is a BOMB beneath us! Even though it is now defused we recommend LEAVING THE GOD DAMN BUILDING!"
People started screaming and running to the aisles. Marinette and Adrien clung to each other in fright, cradling their necks together like spoons. Adrien pulled his ear buzzer out and tossed it at the crowd, and glanced up at the lady camera still on air. But redirected his attention to his princess.
"A-Adrien." Marinette's legs went week and they fell to the floor. "Th-this was a bad idea."
"I know. I'm so sorry princess. I-I love you no matter what. We'll make it out of this ok?" Adrien pet her head.
"H-how can you be so sure?" Marinette asked.
"I... I don't know." He had tried to be brave this whole time but now he was falling apart. They sat center stage cradled in each other's embrace.
"General we recognized the fingerprints." The radio said in Diana Moon's ear.
"Who." She stated flatly, not even in a question.
"Lila Rossi, she was supposed to play the roll of Juliet tonight."
"Thank you." The handicapper turns off her radio. "Well well Well. Our little protesters." She stepped closer to the duo onstage. "Nice set up." She looked directly at Marinette.
"I-I d-didn't do anything!" Marinette gasped.
"Mrs. Rossi our government is trained for stuff like this. Do NOT question us." She patted her gun.
"Mrs, she didn't do anything I assure you! She is not a Rossi, that is her sister!" Adrien screamed, tears streaming down his face.
"Our daughter is innocent!" Tom bellowed, stepping up to the stage.
"Either way she and the boy have broken proof all which is a life sentence in jail they have to work off." She smiled cruelly.
"No!" Marinette sobbed into Adrien's test. Tom and Sabine argued with the general.
"Marinette." Adrien raised her chin.
"What?" He tone had slight fear and Hatred. He wouldn't blame her if she was angry at him. He would be to.
"I got us into this mess but I promise I will protect you!" He held back more tears, his voice choking. Marinette just cried in response. "Marinette look at me."
She opened her eyes and Adrien let go of her. He rose his hands to his mask shakily. Marinette choked on her words, and couldn't make a sound. She wanted to scream, make him stop, do something, but she couldn't.
He pulled it off and set it on the floor. Marinette was in aw. He was incredible looking, with sea green eyes and perfect skin. A perfectly shaped nose that was only slightly upturned, and light pink soft lips.
"I want you to see me." He said knowing fully well this might be their last.
"I-" she was breathless and scared yet this moment seemed so special. If only the had more time.
Marinette decided to do the same and gently pulled her mask off her face. And Adrien has the same reaction she had when he'd taken off his. Her face was speckled with a dusting of freckles upon rosy cheeks. Her blue bell eyes fit her fair skin and small nose. Her lips plump and fair pink, here eyes telling a story of the stars, and it was a masterpiece of beauty beyond others.
"You really are beautiful my lady." He broke the silence between them. They leaned closer. "I'm gland i got to see it."
He placed his lips on hers and shared their first kiss together. It was passionate but gentle, tears on their eyes, and fear in their hearts.
"I love you." He said. "I always have."
"I love you to Adrien." She said softly. The handicapper took a step towards them.
"You've crossed the line." She raised her gun and cocked the barrel.
"When will we meet again!?" Marinette rushed her words, looking back at Adrien.
"We never left each other. We never will." Was his answer. "Meet me in the stars."
"I will."
Bang!
Marinette fell limp in Adrien's arms. Her parents screamed in horror as did the remaining audience. And those at home watching the Christmas Eve special as the clock struck 12. Adrien subbed in his own emotional pain and cradled her birds close to him.
Bang!
Adrien fell over top of her and more screams issued from the crowd. The camera fell from the balcony and shattered in pieces at the floor. The handicapper looked up and realized every one had seen what she had done that night.
"You monster!" Sabine threw her shoe at Diana Moon. "Get your filthy hands away from my daughter!" She ran up with Tom to the two teenagers who lay motionless in top each other.
"Call 911! Some one!" Tom screamed.
Sabine took Adrien gently off her daughter and looked at his precious face. This couldn't be real. She pulled her daughter's body to her and cradled her like a baby.
"My baby. My baby!" She whaled.

Sunday
11:30 am
Local community church of Paris
Two coffins lay next to each other on next to the priest as they wrapped up the funeral. It was raining outside during this celebration of life. But no one could celebrate.
Sabine and Tom left the church with a hoard of people behind them, feeling the guilt of death laying upon them. They tried to sue the Handicap general but she kept her position, they had terribly lost. Gabriel felt the grief of his own son disappearing, knowing when Emily got out of coma she would never see her son again.
Adrien and Marinette walked with their parents, though no one saw them. They had one last chance to be there before moving to the stars. Marinette walked next to her mom.
"I hope I see you, but not soon I hope. Not soon. You... you were the best parents I ever had." She said knowing fully well they didn't hear her. One day they would understand.
They would understand she was happy.
