Chapter Six
~8 years Earlier~
"Mommy, where are we going?"
"We're going to visit a really close friend of mine since your father has a meeting with the king."
"But what if they don't like me..."
"Oh Rada, they'll love you. Just be your cute marshmallow self."
"But, daddy said your the marshmallow."
"Well daddy is wrong--"
"No he isn't!"
My mother quickly Looked away from me. I did the same and found a blonde haired woman with beautiful light brown eyes standing in the door way of a fairly large house.
Mother picked me up and set me on my hip before walking faster. She headed straight towards the woman with a smile on her face.
"Abby! It's so great to see you again!" Mother yelled.
"It's great to see you too Julie. Oh, and this must be Rada."
The woman known as Abby smiled at me. I gave her a smile back before I looked back at my mother. She also smiled at me as we walked into Abby's home. I looked around with curious eyes. I've never left the safety of my home much since in my mothers eyes I'm still a toddler. I'm six years old! I can walk on my own, and talk on my own.... Well....sometimes I might need help....
My train of thought suddenly stopped once I heard another voice.
"Mom..... Who's this?"
I looked down to find a small pink headed boy. He seemed to be hiding behind his mother like he was shy or scared.
"Liam, this is my close friend Julianne, and her daughter Rada."
"...hi..."
Mother and Abby laughed silently as I was put down.
"Liam, why don't you go play with Rada while me and Julianne talk okay?"
"Yes mommy."
Liam smiled at Abby and grabbed my hand. His mood seemed to change instantly at the mention of having fun.
"All of the good toys are in my room!" He exclaimed.
I also smiled at this and started to run alongside him. Maybe this visit wasn't so bad after all.
----------------------------
"Liam is a sweet kid."
"So is Rada, I told you that you'll be a great mother."
"No, you're the better mother. At least you don't live above a tavern with drunkards there every night."
Both Abby and I chuckled and sat down on a nearby sofa. It's been a while since we've talked. All of us girls having kids and stuff kinda got in the way but it's all worth it.
"Besides the tavern stuff, how are you and Meliodas?"
"We're good, but Meliodas is getting into a lot of meetings and stuff with the king. It's about all of those disappearances that's going on."
"I've heard about those, Gil gets summoned by the king too. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the seven deadly sins gets called in."
I smiled at her before the door opened. We both turned and saw both Gil and Meliodas standing at the door.
"I'm home!" Gil announced with a smile on his face.
Once those words escaped his mouth we heard stomping of feet from above. The two children that ran off moments ago were back again.
"Daddy! Welcome home!" Liam yelled.
He ran to his father and Gil scooped him up. That's when Rada noticed the small blonde standing next to Gil and she smiled brightly.
"Daddy's here too!" Rada yelled.
She also ran to her father with her arms out and ready for a hug. Meliodas also picked her up snuggling her.
Both Abby and I chuckled at the sight before standing up to greet our husbands.
After that, we stayed a while longer until the sun started to set. Rada was asleep in my arms as we left Abby's house.
"So, how was your meeting with the king?" I asked quietly afraid that Rada might wake back up.
"It had me on edge actually. The disappearances are starting to increase and I might be sent out soon to figure out who's doing it. I just don't want to leave you two here alone." Meliodas said.
"Meliodas, we'll be fine. I know how to wield a sword just as much as you do."
Meliodas smiled at this and kissed my cheek. He then ruffled Rada's hair softly with the smile still present.
"I know, but I want to be the one to protect you both. You two are my life, I can't lose either of you."
"I feel the same way, but at least let me fight a little bit."
"Okay okay fine."
Meliodas chuckled a bit as we continued our way home. We thought things would be like we discussed. But, it didn't turn out as planned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been pretty obvious this whole time. I'm not just an ordinary child. I was the child of Meliodas, the Dragon Sin of Wrath and Julianne, the Cat Sin of Addiction. I have my mothers hair and my fathers eyes. But, I'm a mix of their personalities... Except for the perverted part my dad possesses.
I was actually a very lonely child. My parents and Hawk the talking pig were the only people I talked to. That's until this day came. The day I met Liam Thunder. Son of Abby, the Owl Sin of Hate and the Holy Knight Gil Thunder. He was my first friend out of my other four friends.
I met Stella and Luna when my father had to visit Camelot to talk to King Arthur. The twins were the children of Al, the Panther Sin of Lies and King Arthur of Camelot. That made them princesses of course. But they were super friendly to me. They were like little sisters in my eyes. They were only younger than me by a year so they weren't that far apart.
After I met the twins, I met Peter. The half fairy, half human boy. His parents were Lizzy, the Wolf Sin of Gossip and Harlequin, the King of Fairies. They both came to visit my parents at the tavern during non working hours. That gave me the time to actually play with Peter as my parents and his parents caught up on things. I had lots of fun, especially when he put me on his back and flew around the tavern.
Finally, I met Tyler last. Aka, the immortal child. He's the Son of Ivette, the Mountain Lion Sin of Grudge, and Ban, the Fox Sin of Greed. I didn't really like him at first. His attitude towards me was teasing yet rude. But, he was older than me, by at least a year or two, I think. He was just probably having fun. As time passed I opened up to him and he's like a brother figure now.
That's us, the children of the people who saved the kingdom of Liones. But, why would we ever go back in time. The time before we were born. To change things? To change something specific? Or to stop everything from falling apart?
"Liam! Look at that!" I yelled.
I ran in front of Liam into a room made of ice. Designs were carved into the walls giving a very fancy look. But what caught my eye the most was a shield glowing brightly.
The green gem glowed brightly, almost the same kind of green my eye color was.
The swirl like design that was made for the shield was perfect for its size. It gave it an enchanted like look to it.
"This is it, the unbreakable shield made by fairy hands."
I immediately grabbed it off of its stand and turned to face Liam. He had a smile on his face like usual.
"We should go. I'm starting to worry about the others." He said.
"Yeah, that seems like a good idea. Let's hope we don't run into that bird again." I replied.
"YES!! WE DID IT!!" Peter yelled.
Stella immediately hugged Peter, happy that the gigantic bird is dead. With all of their magic combined they were able to defeat it. Lucky, it died right above the frozen water and the ship started to move again.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Where's Liam and Rada?" Luna asked.
"They're..... Not back yet...." Peter said.
"Could they have been--"
"No Luna! They're not dead! They probably--"
"WATCH OUUUUUTTTTTTT!!!"
Someone yelled. All of the teens looked up to see Liam and Rada falling towards them. They immediately ran away from their spots just in time before they both hit the ships deck. They groaned in pain as they sat up. Peter then noticed the new shield in Rada's arms.
"They got it! You got the shield!" He yelled.
They once again gathered at the middle of the deck to see if it was true.
Both Rada and Liam stood up and smiled at everyone.
"Yep! We got it alright!" Rada yelled.
Everyone cheered at this until Liam told them to quiet down.
"But, out of respect and love for Peters father. Both me and Rada think Peter should have it." Liam said.
Rada walked up to Peters shocked form and put the shield in his arms. Peter looked at the shield with wide eyes before looking up at Rada and Liam.
"Its yours, you should have it. None of us would qualify to have it except you, the fairy kings son." Rada said with a smile.
Peters face immediately lit up with happiness and he smiled, nodding at Rada. Once this happened the shield disappeared into tiny crystals making Peter smile even more.
"Now that thing is defiantly yours." Tyler said with his arms crossed.
"Oh trust me.....I know..." Peter replied, the smile still present on his face.
"....So....where to now?" Stella asked.
Everyone turned to their green eyed captain wanting an answer. Rada only chuckled at her friends and walked to the boats wheel.
"Back to Liones!!" She yelled and turned the wheel.
