I forgot to mention that this story revolves mostly around this new group of characters so most of the chapters are going to have Rada, Liam, Stella, Luna, Peter, and Tyler in it. Just letting you guys know.

"Here Liam, take the wheel."

"On it, thanks."

Rada left her position at the boats steering wheel and walked to the deck. The rest of her group were making sure that the ship was running smoothly. Rada sighed loudly as she walked to the captains cabin.

"Peter. I need to talk to you." Rada said.

"Coming Rada!"

The golden eyed boy followed Rada to the Captains cabin and stood around at a table in the back. Rada set out the map from before and pointed at the land of the fairies.

"Do you know where the shield is?" Rada asked

"Yes, yes I do." He said.

Peter then showed Rada where it was located.

"My father said that it was in the coldest part of his land. Many have tried to take it, but none of them succeeded. There is supposed to be an ancient guardian protecting it, but I'm sure we can get past it. How hard can it be." He explained

"We won't know until we get there..... And I'm guessing the coldest part is in the mountains?" Rada once again asked.

"Yeah, but we have jackets so we won't freeze our asses off." He joked.

Rada rolled her eyes and rolled up the map again. She left it on her desk and started to push Peter out. Once they were both successfully out of the cabin Rada took her spot back at the wheel and Liam took his spot next to her.

"We're heading North!" Rada yelled and turned the wheel.

"I'm starting to.......feel sick."

"Me too sis......me too."

Stella and Luna were leaning over the deck. Their faces colored a dull green.

"Don't worry you two, we're almost there. I can see land!" Tyler yelled from above.

He was hanging from the ropes above the deck. He would look like a pirate if he had the the clothes and the attitude. But he's not, that would be awesome though.

Rada silently chuckled to herself and slowly turned the ship to the left.

"If we keep going like this, we should be able to get to the mountains by dawn!" Peter yelled.

"What?.....it's already dark?" Rada mumbled.

Rada looked up at the sky and saw the stars glowing brightly. As her mind drifted off looking at the stars she yawned very loudly gaining Liam's attention.

"Rada? I think you should get some sleep." He said.

"No.....*yawn* I'm good..."

Rada then sleepily put her elbow on the wheel and rested her head in her hand. Liam chuckled quietly and walked to Rada. He then picked up her small sleepy body and quickly made his way to the captains cabin. He set her down on a small bed and covered her with a blanket.

"I'll wake you up in the morning, okay short cake." He said.

"Mhm..... Thank you....Liam..."

Liam smiled at his friend before ruffling her hair. He then left the cabin quietly to take the wheel of the boat.

The sun rose over the horizon quickly as day came. The group of six were finally close enough to reach the shield by walking, the only problem was that ice covered everything. It also began to snow at around midnight so it was freezing.

By the time Liam woke Rada up, most of the ship was covered in snow and ice. Everyone wore jackets to keep themselves warm.

"Guys, we need to clear all of this ice. Let's move!" Rada yelled as she went back in the cabin to grab her jacket and tools.

Once Rada emerged from the cabin she saw everyone excluding Liam and Stella trying to get the ice out of the way.

"Stupid ice..... Stupid snow!..." She heard Stella mumbled.

Both Liam and Stella were trying to get ice off the ship and it looked like they were struggling.

*WHOOSH*

Everyone lifted their heads at the loud sound.

"What...was that?" Tyler asked

Rada slowly made her way to the front of the ship to look out. She squinted her eyes to see further and saw something very unexpected. A gigantic white snow bird/hawk flying straight towards them.

"Everyone! Get back on the ship!" She yelled.

Luna, Peter, and Tyler immediately dropped their tools and bolted for the ship. Sadly, Tyler was the farthest one out and the bird saw him as a target. The bird was gaining on Tyler fast and it was just about to grab him when he dived into the icy cold water to save himself.
The bird swooped up to come back for another round. During that time, Rada once again went to the front of the boat to search for Tyler.

"Tyler! Tyler!" She yelled.

That's when he emerged from the water coughing. Rada then grabbed rope and threw it down at him.

"Grab the rope! I'll pull you up!" Rada yelled.

She was quick at tying the rope to a wooden beam and pulling on the rope to get Tyler back up.

"Rada! Move!" She heard

Rada turned and saw Liam running to her in a panic. She then heard a screech and turned to her left. The bird was right there with its claws out and ready. Rada tried to duck down but she was too slow. The bird grabbed her in its sharp claws and started to fly away. Liam quickly reached out to her and grabbed her hand. The bird carried both of them until Liam slammed into the wooden railing and Rada's hand slipped out of his grasp.

Liam watched as the bird carried Rada up the mountain and out of his sight.

"DAMNIT!" He yelled.

Liam ran down into the captains cabin and grabbed four knives, a shield, and some rope. He strapped the shield to his back, tied one knife to each foot and carefully walked out of the cabin.

"Liam! We need to get Rada back!" Stella and Luna yelled.

"I know.......Tyler. Give me a boost?" Liam asked.

"Thought you would never ask." Tyler said like he just didn't get drenched in cold water.

Liam readied himself at one side of the ship with the other two knives in his hands.

"You ready cotton candy?" Tyler asked.

"Yep!"

Tyler stood at the other side of the boat as Liam ran to him. Tyler launched Liam up into the air using his magic sending him up the mountain.
Liam slammed into the ice covered mountain and used the knives he had to keep himself from falling back down. He shook off the snow on his face and looked up the mountain.

"Stupid bird..... Stupid snow...... Stupid ice!" He mumbled as he started to climb his way up the mountain.
