Mei was tinkering with her gadgets. Usually, her older sister would stand there and make sure she wasn't destroying things. Her mother would've done the same thing before... the accident.

Emi's dads were arrested a while back so she was adopted a long time ago by Mei's dad. Their parents were close friends so when they went to prison for five murders, Mei's father took her in. Technically, Emi was her cousin because her father was related to Emi's dad, Chie. So...

Mei kept tinkering. Mei ties her pink dreadlocks back and heard her father yell.

"Mei! Can you fix the car?!" Higari shouted. She grumbled. Her dad was the only one with the power to take away her babies! So she had to do it.

"Mei! Mei! Mei! Can't go ten minutes without leaving my babies. Can I?!" She muttered as she went underneath the car on her little skateboard. She wore a mechanics jumpsuit, vans, and her face filled with soot and other things from explosions and oil.

She hadn't seen her 'sister' in two months. She was a teacher now. She stopped coming over after she divorced Taishiro. Taishiro was really lit. He'd buy her candy when she was little and here they were. He had multiple kids and forgot all about her. She missed him so much.

Now she was crying as she fixed the car. She missed Emi. She missed Tai. They divorced over a lost baby, her sister grieving, etc. She stopped crying, not wanting to mess up her goggles horribly.

Her mom made those goggles for her. She had her pink hair and yellow eyes. She died in a car accident. She died when Mei was five years old. She hadn't let go of her goggles since.

As she worked on the car, Mei remembered. It was a special day... Right? Oh.

Taishiro and Emi's anniversary. A few years ago, when Emi and Taishiro were struggling to stay together, they'd go to this one special place! It made the girl sad.

If she remembered correctly, Taishiro had a mistress after losing their baby and they divorced three years after she found out he cheated and had a child with another woman. Mei despised him for it but, she'd always miss him.

All of a sudden, she heard the door open. Higari grabbed Mei from underneath the car. He wiped her face off.

"What do you want?!" She laughed. She got whacked across the head for being rude. Higari walked inside with his weird offspring and Mei dropped her angry expression only to start screaming!

"Emi!" She screamed, going to hug her sister. Last time she had seen Emi, her hair went to her hips, now it was to her shoulders. She was getting older. Long hair didn't suit her as much anymore.

Mei screamed.

"Mei! It's so good to see you again!" Emi giggled. She held her tightly. "You wanna year something weird? Taishiro's family was in my class. His daughter was my student. I couldn't breath for an hour! It was so embarrassing!" Mei stared at her. She didn't find it funny but Emi laughed.

"You're weird Emi! But I'm so happy to see you again!" She said.

"Dadddd, we're gonna go get food. Peace." She said, dragging Mei out of the house. Higari tried to say something but didn't have enough time. She dragged Mei out and walked to a cafe nearby.

Emi put her hair in a tight bun and put a small flower pin in her hair before going in with Mei to get food together.

"Since when did you care about your looks? You look like a cockroach with all that makeup."

"I look like a pretty cockroach, excuse me!" Emi laughed. They walked inside and ordered their food. Mei noticed a guy from her former class in middle school. It was Tenya Iida. He was with his older brother, Tensei.

Mei knew Tenya pretty well. He was the strict and rich kiddo. He didn't have many friends and neither did she. They'd eat lunch in the hallway together.

Tenya and his brother were getting something from the place. Tensei was a pretty good soccer player and represented Japan in the Olympics. (Were gonna act like I know about the Olympics enough to know soccer probably isn't in it. Unless...)

Mei got a few weird stares from people. She didn't really care. They were cockroaches in her mind anyways. Mei just enjoyed her bitter black coffee.

"Oh my goodness. You're just like my boyfriend. He only drinks black coffee. It's disgusting! How can you drink that?" Emi exaggerated her disgust. Mei shrugged.

"As long as it keeps me awake!" She laughed maniacally. "Wait. You replaced Taishiro?"

"Hell yeah! It's been thirteen years. I needed a new guy."

"Oh. Ok then." She was a little saddened.

"What. You don't like me dating again?"

"No! It's not that! It's just the fact that- I don't know. Taishiro treated me nicely. He acted like I was his daughter."

"Mei, I know. I'm sorry." She said. She was being serious again. "I'm still your cockroach though. No matter what guy walks into our lives, I'll be your cockroach in makeup!" She laughed. Mei reaches over and took out Emi's bun, took off her sunglasses, and spit on a napkin. "What the- What are you doing Mei?" She giggled.

Mei wiped Emi's face entirely. She looked like her usual cockroach self.

"Better! Now where's Spencer?! I can't wait to see that little bean!"

"Spence is at home sorry."

"Ok. You've got a car. Let's go!" Mei shouted. Weird looks from all over the restaurant. The Iida's even looked at them weird. Emi laughed and fell to the ground laughing. She loved this. They left the coffee shop and walked around the town.

"Mei, look at those goggles! Don't you want a new pair? Those are a little small for your eyes..."

"No! I'm keeping these, rat!" She shouted.

"Rat? You're a pig if I'm a rat. Oink oink pig." Emi stuck out her tongue. Mei tugged down on her eyelid.

"I'm enjoying today with you E."

"Same Pig."
