Well so I'm gonna start with a very important tip today- how to get best quality and free images without involving yourself in plagiarism.

Most of us designers, not just on Wattpad but also on Instragram, use images from Pinterest. Either knowing about the plagiarism problem or not knowing it. For the ones who doesn't know about it, I'll discuss about it broadly in the rants section and for the ones who still uses images from that site knowing the issue- you guys are fcking pathetic.

The best free stock image sites that I KNOW are: Unsplash, Pexels and Pixabay. These are the ones I know and use, but if anyone of you know more sites like this then please let the readers know in the inline comment section.

Tbh I've had seen few other sites for stock images (for desktop wallpapers tho) when I was searching for some good wallpapers for my laptop bg. Dunno they'll cause plagiarism or not but they're free to use as a PC wallpaper.

In these sites you'll be able to find stock images for making graphics without any celebrity image. You won't get any celebrity pic here unfortunately.

Now for the celebrity images, you can take them from social media sites like: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Even in Wattpad some people share images which can be used for non-commercial purposes.

As we cant use celebrity images for commercial purposes without permission, most of these images are free to use for editing. So we can take celebrity images from these places.

BUT don't try to use an already edited image (filtered, blurred or any other edits). Again, I'll talk about it in details in my rant section.

There's another problem.

Not everyone can adapt to things swiftly, like- I cant. Changing image downloading place causes problems too.

In the new site it gets problematic to find the desired images with the searched keywords. Like- in Pinterest you can find valley images by just using keyword 'landscapes' but in other sites you might have to use that exact word 'valleys' to find the images of valleys. Thus, not all websites are same.

So here's a trick for it.

If you're a Pinterest user, then search the desired images in Pinterest and then check whether its from a free stock image site or not, by clicking on the pinned link. And if its free to use, just don't think anymore, download and use it. In this way you'll discover more free sites for stock images.

But if its uploaded by an user there in Pinterest then try to contact the uploader and ask for permission (put all the details about your use). If you get permission then you're lucky and if not then look for something else.

BUT its obviously not a safe thing to do. My recommendation will always be to search and take images from the sites I mentioned and NOT Pinterest. 

Cause obviously I don't want anyone to be indicted as a Plagiarist. I myself got indicted as one once by some influencer and since then I stopped taking request. And it fcking hurt my pride and the love for my editing.

Therefore, always go to these sites whenever you need images.
