"Must you leave already?" Dick's blue eyes almost melted Bruce away.

"Yes Dickie bird, you know that this off world mission requires the whole League and is extremely important.  I need you to hold fort down here in Gotham City okay birdie?"  Bruce knelt down, and donned his cowl, becoming Batman.

"Okay Bruce, just please don't forget me." Dick said sadly,"I'm gonna be scared without you."

"Dickie, you have Wally and Roy," Batman told the 9 year old,"They'll be here for you."

"Okay..."

"Uncle Barry!  Can I come?" Wally sped around in circles.

"No, Wally I already told you!" Barry said in an exasperated voice.

"But, I'll, I'll miss you!" Wally cried.

"You know this is important buddy.  I gotta do it." Barry donned his cowl, and became the Flash.

"Just don't die." Wally warned,"Don't forget me."

"I would never.  Plus you have the Bat kid and the other richie."

"Hey!  Don't call them that!"

"But Ollie, how am I supposed to defend the city myself?" Roy complained.

"I told you, you'll think of something!" Oliver Queen responded.

"But," Roy began.

"No buts, look Roy you'll be fine."  Oliver put on his mask.

"Yeah sure, just don't forget me while you're up there."  Roy shyly whispered.

"I won't, just promise me you'll look after Dickie and Walls."

"I promise."
