Robin couldn't seem to let go of Batman,"Don't leave."

"Gotta.  Be safe, baby bird." Batman let go of his son and continued to the rocket the the Lanterns had conjured up.

The League stood in the rocket, getting ready to leave, and the three sidekicks sat in a huddle, watching.

Wally shivered against a rock, pained by the cold,"I'm cold Roy..."

Roy took one look at his fellow ginger before wrapping him up in a small coat and bringing him to his chest,"That better?"

"Yeah, thanks Roy."

Dick came up and snuggled against the two as they awaited the Justice League's departure.

Silence reigned in between all of them as they stared at the green air ship, until Dick started to speak.

"Are you guys scared?" his eyes didn't leave the rocket.

The two gingers turned to face him,"What?" Wally said. The little bird was never scared.

"I'm scared," Dick whimpered,"What'll happen if something goes wrong, and they don't come back in a week?  What if Bruce gets hurt and can't take care of me?  What if we are left to protect the earth?  Aren't you scared?"

"I'm never scared!" gloated Wally, smiling.  Though the boys knew otherwise.

"I am," admitted Roy,"I've always been scared.  To be scared is to be human, and I'm human.  It's good to know that you feel the same Dick.  I'm sure that nothing bad will happen, Bruce won't get hurt, if we have to protect the earth, we'll do it well.  Don't worry Dick."

Dick smiled,"Thanks, I was just confused about it all."

Wally looked at the two and sighed,"I'm scared."

The two looked at him in surprise,"What?!"

"I'm scared.  Really.  Look, I've never told anybody, but I guess you guys can know.  I'm scared that Barry'll never come back."  Wally said.

The boys looked at him and hugged him tight,"Don't worry." Roy said.

The three looked as the rocket blasted off.

"Bye, daddy..." Dick whispered.

Bruce looked out the window at earth, "Bye son....."
