Revolutions
After listening to Cinder's words, the group was shocked that their headmaster hid everything from them. He was fighting against his ex wife and used lots of people as pawns including...Summer Rose.
"So my mother was just used as some kind of...pawn?" Ruby said with a small voice.
"Yep. Your headmaster knew that silver eyes warriors could destroy Grimm and have several abilities that could do many amazing things. Yet after the death of your mother...he decided to use you." Cinder said.
"So all this time, he was using us to further his agenda without telling us anything?" Blake said.
"Exactly. He would never tell anyone the truth about his ex wife's immortality. Think about it, Why else would he bring in a fifteen year old girl into his school?" Cinder said.
"I..I can't believe this. He kept all of this a secret and was basically using us for a war that has been going on for centuries." Velvet said.
"Yes. To make matters worse, he sent all of his allies to their early deaths in order to stop Salem. Always saying that he is the good guy and that ending her would happen eventually." Cinder said.
"It will never end. He doesn't know how to stop her nor kill her, but continues to keep this secret from his own allies. He doesn't care who he sends out or if they come back at all." Jaune said.
"I can't believe this. My mother trusted him yet he betrayed her. All because of his own shadow war that only a select few know about. I can't believe that I thought that he would make me into a great huntress like my mom." Ruby said with some anger in her voice. No one blamed her for it since they knew that Ozpin lied to them all and lead multiple people to their early graves.
"Which is why I want you all to become warriors for my mistress." Cinder added which caused the group to look at her with their eyebrows raised.
"You mean...Salem?" Velvet said.
"Yes. It's clear that Ozpin doesn't have any of your best interests in mind after all...What kind of headmaster lets his students single out someone who used fake transcripts? I mean think about it, do you honestly think that those students will become good huntsmen and huntresses in the future." Cinder said.
"They will never be good huntsmen or huntresses. They are only in it for the fame and glory while Ozpin just sits in his office without caring about their futures." Pyrrha said.
"Are we really considering this? What if..." Ruby said before Jaune interrupted.
"Ruby...Ozpin has lied and deceived all of us. He never cared about anyone. Not me. Not you. Not even your mother. He only cared about his agenda and how many pawns he can throw at the enemy to somehow defeat Salem." Jaune said. Jaune's words struck a cord inside Ruby as she thought back to the days after her mother's death. Days spent with emotions of sadness and grief. If Ozpin never brought her mother into the shadow war then maybe she would've still been around to lead her in the future.
"We can't go back to Ozpin. He would just treat us like disposable puppets and would just let the bullying, assaults and harassment go on. So I guess that we have no other choice..." Velvet said. The other parties looked at each other before nodding along in agreement. Things would just end up getting worse if they all went back now...after all, they surely would just turn a blind eye to any wrongdoings inside the academy. Eventually, Ruby walked out in front of the group and said:
Where do we start?
Causing Cinder to smile as she managed to gain some more allies to her mistress's side. Hopefully this will please her and will lead to more victories against that old wizard.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
