( Internal point of view : Jack )

We've been in Japan for more than 5 days now, we quickly get used to life here, and business is not too expensive compared to the United States, well the most complicated thing is to find us a quiet apartment around the corner, and I have to find a job too to support Damian, I've noticed for awhile that Damian gets tired very quickly. Early in the evening, he falls asleep quickly and does not wake up until 10 or even 11 a.m.Every evening I come to touch his forehead to check if he has a fever, and he has practically none ever, and his pulse remains decent.

Still, I have a bad feeling... Damian has never been so tired, maybe I should take him tothe doctor.

- Hum... I hear him moan as I'm stroking his hair, he opens his eyes slowly.

- What are you doing... ? He asks me in a small voice as he rubs his eyes. I blushed embarrassed.

- Excuse me, I'm a little worried about you. I find you particularly sleepy at the moment. I explain to him, he raises his eyebrows in surprise and sits on the bed.

- I think I know why you're telling me that, since we left, I haven't taken the medication that Ziggurat provided me with, so I feel a little soft.

It strikes me as a bullet from a revolver, it's true that since our departure, I haven't seen him take his medication once, plus he had a little watch that rangevery time he had to take his medicine, but he does not wear it, when I go to look in his belongings, I find the famous box, filled with pills but not the watch.

- Here Damian, you should take them, if ever something happened to your heart ? Damian sighs and comes to throw his medicine in the trash.

- No way I'm going to taket hat stuff back. I took them for over 7 years, now I'm free from this doom treatment, I've been over a week without taking them, and I'm doing great, just need to get back into a good rhythm , if I take it easy, I should be able to get by. He tells me.

I don't really approve of his decision, I'll have to watch it.

Damian ends up getting dressed and suggests that I go out for a walk, at the same time it will allow me to apply for a few jobs at the same time. But he also tells me that he wants to work.

- But Damian... You're still a minor. You can't work as an employee yet, ultimately you can do internships or an apprentice ship, but certainly not a salaried activity... I tell him, I see him roll his eyes.

He tries to reassure me, it's true that he's not wrong about that, Damian has always been good in cooking and science, in class he was the one who got the best grades in math and science, the subject where he was the worst was in sports and still he always managed to get the average. At the same time, with his constant health problems, he couldn't afford to exert himself so much.

With Damian, we go out into town and I drop CVs everywhere, the searches are not fruitful but I hope to obtain a small contract, the time that I can earn a little more money and allow us to find a new house or an apartment to rent for a short time, the city is very lively today, at the same time a Beyblade tournament is preparing in the area, and Gingka is going to participate.

I'm starting to feel the fever, I can't even draw my top, I clench my teeth and my fists and get ready to punch Tsubasa in the face.

- Ziggurat... Always Ziggurat, don't identify us with this trash who dared to attack my friend !!!! I scream, Tsubasa hurries to dodge my punch, so I take the opportunity to put one in his stomach to unbalance him, he lets go of his thruster, then I push him away from me before going in the direction which Damian took.

I keep running through the streets with Jack's words on my mind, so am I weak ? Just because I couldn't defend myself against Ziggurat ? Just because I fell off aflight of stairs ? Just because I've been close to death several times because of my heart issues ? Just because I lost to the Gan GanGalaxy ?

What am I ? A burden for you, a source of constant worry ? I know very well that I don't have sufficient stamina, perfecting only gave me additional respite... But what other solution did I have ? Despite my parent's wealth, because of the many risks my heart operation was far too expensive even for them, and we could never find a compatible donor.

- What more could I do ???

I come to a dead end, damnit I took the wrong way. I have to find a place to hide.

I hear in my head, I see again the shadow of Ziggurat with his fake reassuring smile, he has one of those horrible syringes in his hand, I can't move, my wrists and ankles are tied, I can't scream help, my shoulders hurt, I want to leave.

I see Ziggurat hitting me without the slightest mercy, then my fall down the stairs, at that moment, I thought that my ordeal was finally going to end, that my suffering was going to stop, and that I was going to pay for all the evil I had done, but the fall was not fatal to me... Why ? Why am I not dead ?

- Damian ? Come on Damian wake up, we're safe now, get up. I hear a voice telling me.

I was able to go back to the hotel with Damian without the other two following us, we had a lot of luck this time, alas now the WBBA is after us, damn it. I finally see Damian open his eyes.

- Ahh you finally wake up, I was so scared when you passed out. Don't ever hit me like that again! I tell him, that's when I see his light gray eyes twitch then fill with tears almost as big as a thumb before he starts crying very hard. I jump in front of such a scene, I had never seen Damian cry with such power, except when he was very small, but this is beyond anyone I expected.

- Ahhhhhh but Damian why are you crying ?? What do you have ? Tell me can I help you ?? I tell him, but no answers, he continues to cry without being able to stop.

What am I supposed to do ?? I don't know if a hug would be appropriate for the situation, Damian has never been very cuddly around the edges, so am I hugging him or what ? My only reflex is to put my hand on his head and stroke his hair until he calms down.

It took over two hours.

He ends up falling asleep on my lap after I stroke his head for a long time, my hand is cramping now, I can breathe a little. He is supposed to be 15 years old... But there, I thought for a moment that he was 5, too cute. I very gently place Damian in his bed with his teddy bear without waking him up. Then I close all the curtains and the door so that we can be quiet, when I finish that, I feel my throat getting irritated, I quickly go to the bathroom to start coughing without it being able to wake up Damian.

I must have caught cold because of our outings, and the altercation with Tsubasa and the badly educated brat didn't help, I look in the medicine cabinet to find a medicine that could relieve me a little, and sleep wouldn't hurt me, I grab a headache pill, swallow it and go lie down, but I've only been able to sleep for two hours before I hear our bedroom door slam open, I immediately get up from my bed despite the fever, I see a tall man with red hair like that of Gingka Hagané accompanied by Tsubasa again, this man I had seen at the Gan Gan Galaxy festival, immediately I place in front of Damian's bed to protect him, my legsare shaking.

- Jack Williams I presume, I'm going to ask you to follow us please, we won't hurt you.

- Williams is my father's last name, mine is Riperls... Please leave us alone, we don't mean any harm to anyone... I try to explain, but I start coughing .

- We don't have Jack anymore, I'm Ryo Hagané, the director of the WBBA, we just want to discuss your situation with you, Tsubasa told me that you wanted to run away from Doctor Ziggurat, that's why you came here , we have investigated and we need your testimony. You risk nothing with us. He says to me, putting a reassuring hand on my shoulder, I fall to my knees from fatigue while Ryo comes to take Damian in his arms as well as our suitcases, Tsubasa comes to support me to get me out of the room and lead me to to Ryo's car who paid for our hotel room and they take us to WBBA headquarters. What will happen to us ?

The next morning around10:30 a.m., Ryo came to wake me up. I was alone in the room.

- Where's Damian ?? I ask getting out of bed too fast, automatically it gives me a headache.

- Jack, stay down. You have a lot of fever, a doctor should come soon, when in Damian I took him this morning to the nearest hospital in town, I need a complete examination of him, more from what the doctors told me he had been on medical treatment for a while but suddenly stopped. The doctors will take care of him for today, I should pick him up by tonight if all goes well. Ryo explains to me, he comes to lay me down on the bed and asks me to calm down, he comes to sit by my side with a video recording.

- Jack... I need you to explain everything to me in detail, what happened to you two ? And what did Ziggurat do to you ? If you give us this information, the WBBA will be able to protect you both.
