"I'm here for you."

"I'll never leave you."

So many broken promises.

So many broken hearts.

"Mama?" A baby cooed. The young mother looked at her child, filled with love and happiness. "Hey Juvia." She smiled.

"Mama?"

"Yes, that's right. I am your mother."

"Juvia! Don't give me that attitude!" A woman yelled at her 8 year old daughter.

"I can do whatever I want! After all.. you're not even my biological mother.." She Replied, pure hatred in her voice. She ran up the stairs, not even taking a glance at her mother.

The mothers eyes filled with tears as she saw her once happy girl, now with hatred in her heart. She clenched her shirt as tears flowed down her face, staining the carpet floor.

"Mom.. I'm so sorry.. I.. I'm such a idiot!!" Exclaimed the bluenette.

Her mother smiled softly, placing her hand in her daughters cheek as she watched tears come out of her daughters eyes. "Juvia.." She said hoarsely, now realizing that she's also crying. "Don't worry about that.."

"How can I not mother? I treated you horribly.. I.. I'm sorry." Tears ran down rapidly, seeing her mother on the hospital bed, the heart monitor beeping, tubes sticking out of her mothers body. All the injuries that her mother had, it was all to much for her.

"Juvia.. it's alright. You-you May not be my biological daughter, but I'm glad I adopted you. Without you my life would be hell." She said, caressing her daughters hand.

"Mom.." Juvia murmured.

"Don't you get it, Juvia? I-I love you, no matter what. I protected you as-as much as I could. Now my darling.." Her mother said, she stood up from the bed in pain, but injured it, for her, for Juvia.

Juvia saw her mother unclipping her necklace, her eyes widened. "Mom.. this.. this was what your mother gave you Before she.." Then it hit her.

"Mom.. mom..mom!!  Please !! No!! Mom!! Please don't go! I need you!! Mom please!!" Juvia begged, tears in her eyes. Her mom smiled at her tearfully. "Juvia.. my darling, it's your turn to be strong. I love you no.. no matter what.." Her voice cracked, wiping the tears away.

"And Juvia.. I need you to be strong, be strong for me. You have hatred in your heart. I-i know that you're heart will be turned to love once again. You just need to let it Happy, once you fall in love, never let it go.. Juvia, you're gonna be strong without.. me.."

As her mother said that, the heart monitor stopped beeping... her heart sank to her stomach.

Juvia froze.
"Mom..?" She asked. "Mom..? Mom!!! Mom!! Please don't!! Don't leave me please!!! MOM!! ANYONE!! ANYONE!! I NEED A DOCTOR!! PLEASE!!! MOM!!"

"I hate you.."

"Oh, i know you do, love." A man said laughing. "After all, I'm the one who put your mother in the hospital. Isn't that right?"

"YOU BASTARD!" Yelled Juvia, gripping his shirt, she pushed him to the wall, she clenched her fist, ready to punch him, but stopped.

"Punching you.. punching you would make me no better than you. You're not worth it.. that's why I'm putting you where you belong. Jail."

[PRESSED PLAY]

"Hey Juvia, it's me Gray. I just wanted to ask if you're done with that favor I asked you."

"Hey Juvia.. it's me Gray.. again. So um.. i was just wonder if.. if you're ignoring me. Are you? I'm getting worried that you are."

"Juvia? I'm getting really worried now, you're not responding. Is everything alright?"

"Juvia! I know that you like me, it's not a secret. But please, if you are ignoring me because I asked you for the favor, I'm sorry."

"Juvia. Are you ignoring me? Fine. Be that way. I just want to say sorry for treating you like that and I-"

[PAUSED]

"Juvia already knows you're going to say that Juvia is like a friend to you. Save it." Murmured Juvia. She sat on her bed, sighing softly as she slowly fell on her bed.

"Ow sh- what is this?!" Juvia felt immediate pain on her back as soon as her back made contact to the bed. She stood up, going to the bathroom, her eyes widened as she lifted up her shirt. At the side of her stomach stood a big purple bruise. "Ah sh- I can't let anyone see this." She muttered, softly.

Gray groaned as he looked at his phone, laying on his, looking for any response from Juvia.

[Juvia] 3 LEFT VOICEMAILS

Gray was now worried. Juvia wasn't responding at all, it wasn't like her to miss calls. He worriedly looked at his phone. Sitting up on his bed. The question running in his mind was,
"Why hasn't she responded?"

"You know what. Maybe she'll respond in the morning. I'll just go to bed..bed." Instead of going to bed like he told himself, he instead spent minutes yet again lookin at his phone screen. "Come on Gray!! This is Juvia you're talking about. She's fine, she's a strong person. I'm sure she's fine.." Gray reassured himself.

After looking at his phone for a another 12 minutes he gave up. "You know what. I'm going to bed. I give up, if she wants to ignore me, then so be it! Like I give any shits if she doesn't respond.." Said Gray.

"Wait.. why am I talking to myself." He shook his head, he sighed as he finally layed in bed.

As he was falling into a deep sleep he heard a beep. His mind went to frustration as he was trying to desperately sleep. Then he remembered. "JUVIA!!" He unenthusiastically yelled.

He looked at his phone and immediately sulked.

TEXT MESSAGE

LUCY: hey grayyyyyyyy.. I kind of want to ask you for a favor. Can I..?

Gray immediately got irritated, but brought himself to respond.

GRAY: fine, but make it quick.

LUCY: yes! Ok I wanted to ask you if.. youknownatsusfavoritedishimkindofgoingonadatewithhimandiwanttocookforhim!!

Grays heart sunk into his stomach. The realization hit him hard..

GRAY: wait.. you're going on a date..? With.. squinty eyes..?

LUCY: y-yes..!!!

GRAY: ...

OUT OF ALL PEOPLE NATSU?!

Gray bursted out laughing in his room, like a psycho path.

LUCY: SHUT IT

GRAY: hey, I was kidding.
Anyways Flamebrains favorite dish is

Gray exhaustedly sighed, jumping to bed, he was ready to sleep. Leaving his phone on his bed stand. As he was slowly drifting to sleep, he heard a beep. He groaned in annoyance.

He lazily got his phone in his hand. His eyes squinted due to the brightness of his phone.

TEXT MESSAGE
//JUVIA//

JUVIA: hey. sorry I didn't respond to you, like 11 hours ago. I'm not ignoring you, trust me. I know that you know I like you. I just want to let you know, even though you asked for my help I'm not backing away. It's not because I like you. Don't get your panties in a twist.

I'm doing this because you're always there for me when I need you. now it's my turn to return the favor. Sweet dreams Gray. Oh, btw, Natsu and Lucy are dating. Nalu is now canon!

Anywho! Sweet dreams Gray. don't let your ego get to big.

As Gray read the message his lips slowly curved into a smile.

GRAY: thank you Juvi, we're doing the plan tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

With that Gray finally drifted to sleep, leaving his phone in his hand, having that stupid smile on his face.
