A- please Bhavya , jao . I'll be there soon .

B- it's you who was so excited about the campfire , I told you to take medicines immediately but no ! You have to argue on everything. Now see , what you've done to yourself?

She sat on the bed beside her and caressed annika's warm skin .

A- I'm totally fine yaar , How will I miss the campfire dance? I'll follow you right away in a few minutes, tum jao .

B- nahi ani,

A- Bhavya !

After a few more minutes of convincing session Bhavya finally agreed and left the room to join the campfire night. Annika laid back on the bed . She was getting sick , she could feel that . All the tissues in the room are already inside the dustbin, thanks to her running nose. She literally felt worn out and tired but still , she doesn't want to miss the fun too .

After refreshing , she continuously rubbed the towel on her face when her mobile rang suddenly. Where it is ? Oh, she had plugged it for charge.

Pulling the wire she blinked and wore her specs before looking at the caller ID in keen .

Mumma 🎈

It flashed and within no seconds she swiped the green .

A- hello mumma !

A sudden  energy engulfed her .

' annika , how are you beta ?'

A- I'm fine as always mumma .

' when are you returning?'

A- this friday night , don't worry mumma I'll take a cab and reach there myslef. I'm not going to the hostel .

' that's what for I called you annika , actually mumma is leaving out of city for a few weeks so you can stay in your papa's house or go to hostel itself beta . Best . I'll let you know when I reach back, then you can come here '

Annika's face fell till extreme. She coughed a few times before replying.

A- acha? It's ok mumma , I'll go to the hostel.

' annika ? What happened to your voice? You're ok ?'

A- vo actually mumma , we went to the falls today and

' ok ok annika, I have some important work now . I'll call you later beta , take care haan . Muaahh ,mumma loves you !'

Without letting annika to complete, she interrupted in the middle.

A- annika loves you so much mumma !

Beep.

She crushed her eyes as the spring of tear drops landed down her cheecks randomly . Did her mumma even hear what she said ? She really loves her so much. Certainly, she was ready to share everything about today with her but she hardly did.

Well , it wasn't something new . Since past 10 years , it's like this .

Her parents started their life from a love marriage which gradually fell into a miserable decision called divorce. Well , miserable for whom ? Not to both of them as they were happy in that but what about the 13 year old kid with two braids? Annika. She was  the one who suffered much in their decision. The next 10 years of her life was nothing but filled by some plain roties of hostel.

She hardly gets to meet her parents. Each one separately.

The point for their clash was only one thing , domination .

Her father wasn't very happy with the idea of his wife setting up her own start up business. There began everything.

From morning till night , from Monday till Sunday, from 1st till 31st . They fought .

And soon came the fateful day , where the little girl's little world was ripped off . They got divorced.

It would be a lie if she thinks that they don't love her . She is their only child at the end of that day , obviously they do love her. But they have chosen to prioritize their passion , their life first . Her mother is  doing great in her real estate business today and her father's restaurants are everyone's hit list at present. They are so happy with what their life is at current .Knowing all this , she herself decided to settle in hostel and lead her life . It was every weekend when she used to visit her papa and then mumma separately . She lives the entire week for this. A day with her family . She would yearn for their calls , messages , even if it's a simple good night message she would be exaggerating it within herself about the heart emojis which they send along .

That's how she grew up . A little kid craving for a constant care and love . Her parents do love her but the word constant here is what's more important. Nights when she would hide under the duvet hearing the loud thunder and shrink herself to a small ball , those days there was none to comfort her .

But as they say , God takes one to give ample .

A continuously constant support lacked until, he happened .

Shivaay .

Her love , life . Since school days they are in relationship. He knows everything about her as she doesn't miss to share anything with him. He's her armour , her support stand on which she could lie on till eternity . And it's already been 7 years to them . Since school .

Innumerable, unbelievable, totally silly arguments, fights what not ? It was always like this .

And one such incident is what which happened this morning. She couldn't take when he strictly ordered her like that . Maybe , she was scared that she might find a glimpse of her own father in him .

She certainly knew that he wasn't like that , her shivaay just wanted her to be fine and safe . He will never want to control her but still she reacted that way in the heat of the second. She regretted everything. He asked about her decision but she just kept quite. She must have hurt him . Hurt her shivaay. She felt sad.

A- wake me up when you find him ok ?

B- find who?

Annika narrowed her eyes at her friend who pretended to be bluntly innocent .

A- you know who !

Annocuning this she leaned on Bhavya's shoulder and closed her eyes .

The entire crowd of students haven't come there yet, so the rest  just sat around the campfire waiting for the others . Annika and Bhavya were among the early comers .

Annika sat crossing her arms as if she hugged herself , to keep her as warm as possible. Well , to have a fun time in the falls , she had to sacrifice some mini issues considering her health which itself grew to be the topic of fight today.

B- ani he's here , look up .

As Bhavya shook her shoulder on which she had kept her head , annika opened her eyes at once and looked up . The next second she scowled at her dear bestie who just grinned in return .

A- I'm ready to stay behind the bars for murdering you .

B- what ? You asked to alarm you when he shows up right ?

Bhavya spoke defending herself and once again she had to tolerate a nice pinch from annika.

A- did I mention his name ? Why is he coming by our side now ?

She spoke when her eyes were still fixed by the unwelcomed person , while Bhavya answered rubbing her arm which was just encountered by a sharp pinch .

B- come on ! We all know that he has a crush on you . Isn't it obvious ? That's why I thought you might have referred him to be the one , the you know who one ?!

Annika rolled her eyes watching Bhavya's reaction when she cooked up the description . By the time she could say anything , the unwanted guest was already here. Just seated behind her .

Vikram- hey annika !

A- hi Vikram.

She faked a smile and turned infront again.

V- how many times I've told you , just call me vicky .

Annika's face turned to everything called as awkward. Vikram wasn't a bad guy but just that she doesn't want to carry any equation with him because she knows his motives. And she never wants to hurt him , she already has got a boyfriend so it's perfect to keep the other boys who swing to propose her , at distance . She followed that .

A- okay vikr, I mean vicky .

Fearing that he might start a conversation anytime , she immediately leaned on Bhavya's shoulder , putting up a fake drama.

But her friend was not at all helping , look at the way this Bhavya was giggling watching her bestie's pitiful state ?!

So annoying, maybe that's exactly why they are best friends.

When he came to the campfire ground after refreshing , he was lazily roaming around the place in lone as still many other students were yet to come . There was time .

A trip can make everyone jump in excitement , but when we label it as final year trip , each and every one's heart would be pouncing with a known pain , because it's final ...it's last. Finale to the year of classes and finale to the bunch of friends and classmates. Indeed ,being in touch with them isn't a tough task but sitting right inside the class and hiding from the professor to just have the most silly conversation has it's own price ! Shivaay is definitely going to miss it , a crazy lastbencher he is .

His train of farewell thoughts stopped when he found her sitting right infront of the campfire along with Bhavya beside , rubbing her palms continuously after taking some warmth from the burning fire .

Only if she had listened to him.

He sighed , marching towards the place .

Only then he noticed someone else too .

Vikram ?

Why is he sitting behind my girl ?

He fumed .

Once again annika woke up when Bhavya shook to signal her.

Thank God , it is him finally .

Annika kept looking at him keenly when he carelessly threw a sweater towards Bhavya before sitting by the other side beside Rudra .

Unlucky she , there was no place for him anywhere near her .

B- it's so cold haina?

Muttering these Bhavya was about to wear that sweater when annika snatched it from her within a blink making bhavya whine fakely.

A - this is for me !

Bhavya chuckled watching the face she made then . Indeed , she did know for whom the thing was supposedly brought in special but still, can she ever stop annoying her anni ? Nope !

Wearing the thick skin on her , annika exhaled letting a deep sigh . Relief !

Rewind mode - they actually had a fight for this too , when she denied to pack that inside her bag claiming that it weighed like an animal.

But thank the man who hadn't thought twice to pile it up inside his bag .

After some time, the events started where the students played certain games like truth or dare and stuffs . Annika leastly showed any interest as she was desperately waiting for the campfire dance which was pushed to the last . Sleepless couple of nights in the hostel, she and Bhavya had actually even experimented a few new steps to pull out a good energetic dance at this sea shore .

He looked very joyous , with the games. Especially when that Ragini was completing her dare , why is he looking at her ? Annika frowned. His mere sight on any other girl and she's already a lioness.

' okay guys, the next game is treasure hunt . Two teams of three in each are needed '

One among the group announced and Rudra jumped up to stand immediately.

R- superb ,I love treasure hunts, I'm in !

B- I think you didn't hear him correctly, you still have to find two more for your team .

She spoke showing some attitude , but deep down she was actually hinting him to take her in his team.

R- ohh please I know that , I've already got shivaay and uhh , annie ?

B- don't even think of it , I'm in your opponent team and annika is my teammate .

Standing up ,she spoke after dusting her top ,passing him a nice glare. Duffer , doesn't know to catch a hunch even . While all the time shivaay and annika just stood silently for their dear friends have already booked them each .

' but still, both the teams require a third teammate guys '

V- uhh , I'll join annika .

Vikram volunteered himslef for annika just gave him a small smile.

S- Rudy ,why don't we take Ragini in our team ?

R- Hein?

Rudra had a cringed face while annika gritted her teeth and looked away .

Ra- wow ! That's sounds amazing , I'm in !

She stood up and tried wounding her elbow around shivaay's guessing which he immediately kept his arms crossed to his chest . But still, all this was noticed by annika who was standing exactly opposite to them .

She just pretended to scratch her nose a little and looked down when he caught her sight.

B - I'm sure we are the winning team !

Bhavya boasted and hified with annika . Hearing this Rudra immediately reacted .

R- what makes you so confident?

B- you need brain to solve riddles in this game which obviously you don't possess.

R- ohh really ?

' bas yaar , let's start the game now ! Remember , you have to find the red flag to finish the game .'

Shivaay held Rudra's elbow indicating him to keep quite while Bhavya blew the tendril of hair which danced across her face and smirked.

The first clue chits were given to both the teams simultaneously.

As shivaay read it Ragini leaned on him from behind ,holding his shoulder to peep and look at the chit . Annika who stood a little far from the other team didn't fail to watch that . She fumed in anger and fisted her hands.

Bhavya who completed reading the clue looked up to see annika passing daggers by the other side. She sighed sending prayers to control her friend today .

B- annika , hamein jeethna hai . Concentrate!!

Annika wriggled a bit , coming out of that fire zone .

A- hmm.

And all of a sudden both heard Vikram snapping his fingers which made a noise loud enough .

V- it's the boat!

B- kya ?

V- the clue , boat !

As he finished Bhavya and annika once again concentrated to read the content on the chit . There was a wide grin on their faces instantly.

A- vikram , you're just amazing !

She jumped and shared a hifi with him, which fell directly on the blue eyed man's sight . He gulped and looked away .

B- but there are nearly 10 to 15 boats here on the shore .

A- three people are good enough to do the search ,come on .

Watching the other team working on full force, Rudra already made his usual crybaby face.

R- how am I going to face that Bhavya now ? God has already planned to lit candles for the death of my confidence.

Shivaay who was silently gazing on the chit ,immediately crushed him in a hug .

S- that's it Rudy , you are a genius!

R- really ?

S- ha haan ! Candles , candles is the answer .

Ra- but where will we find candles here ? in the sea shore ?

Came Ragini's voice .

Soon the trio grinned at each other when they heard the church bell's sound . The church was just the next building to the resort .

R- maybe , we can find anything in the church .

He muttered these and looked around to find none .

S - can you stop your slow motioned mind and follow me already .

He heard shivaay's voice from far , and that's when he realized that the other two had started running to the church .

R- shivaay wait for me !

Shouting this , he ran behind shivaay .

Annika got the next chit which was stuck on the oar of one the boats there, while Shivaay's team found the next chit which hung out from the candle stand inside the church .

Like this both the teams managed to pace up and find the clues .

A/S - paani !

The final chit had the same question for both the teams and they found the answer simultaneously ,being present in different spots though .

B- perfect anni !!! but the closest water body here is the ocean, how will we ?

V- water doesn't only mean ocean here , there must me something else too .

R- superb , come on shivaay . Ragini pick the oar , we are rowing to the ocean tonight .

Ra - what?

She watched him as if he looked an alien .

S - Rudra , are you even serious? Will we even find anything in this big ocean if we start ? It's something related to water yaar , soch .

R- tho phir kya ho saktha hai?!

At the same time , something clicked their mind and shivika started running towards the resort leaving the others confused .

By the time annika could reach the backside , she already found shivaay who just jumped inside the pool . Still, she didn't halt . She dived in too .

Shivaay looked behind hearing the splashing sound to only find her there. She was taking shivering breathes as the cold water literally made her freeze .

Instantly he turned facing her and before she could even take a blink, he gripped her waist to carry her and placed her on the pool step for she sat with a grumpy face .

A- cheating hai ye .

S- chup!

He kept his finger on her lips and stared at her while she rubbed her wet hair and squeezed it .

By the time their team members came there and Rudra even found a red flag which hung there , from distance. Immediately he alerted shivaay.

R- shivaay , look out for the red flag by your left !

But before shivaay could reach for it , annika clasped the step stand in one hand and leapt to pick the flag and she succeeded , making him grin lightly.

Annika  smirked joyfully.

B- yay!!

Bhavya started jumping infront of Rudra who pretended to look at everything but her.

Ragini just stomped her foot on the ground and left from there .

' ok guys , as I said before, the person with the red flag will get the treasure. That is, a special gift '

Some hooted for annika while some for shivaay as they weren't revealed of the result yet .

Hearing her friend's statement annika silently tried placing the flag which she held behind her back onto shivaay's grip who looked at her confusedly.

A- it's your's.

She whispered.

S- no , you took it first.

He denied to take the flag from her.

A- you went there first ,

S- but ,

A- take it .

S- no

A- you

Likewise both just stayed pushing the thing between each other's hold behind their back without anyone noticing.

' who has got the flag guys ?'

A / S - he / she !

Exclaiming this , both just pulled their hands from behind . But the crowd of students were surprised seeing both their hands.

Both had a torn peice of the flag each .

They looked at each other and smiled confusedly.

R- wohooo! Ab kya karoge madam ?

Bhavya rolled her eyes at the silly creature beside who was dancing like insane .

B- but annika was the first to take the flag.

R- rule is a rule ! Person with the flag will have the gift .

B- this is cheating .

R- you don't have the rights to talk about cheating . Last minute mei shivaay ko divert karne ke liye tho annie ko beja na tumne ,

B- nonsense!

' ok guys, stop fighting like kids now . Both are winners , so the price belongs to shivaay and annika ! '

Everyone clapped when shivika were given the gift.

' Students , the buffet is ready . Go and have dinner now '

The faculty who just came there, announced.

' but mam , we still have events left and what about the campfire dance ? '

One among the group mentioned for the others chorused the same .

' you can resume all your celebrations after having dinner . We staffs won't disturb you '

The moment the professor mentioned this ,all cheered noisily and went to the resort .

Shivaay looked around on not finding her beside when all the students left .

He sighed walking towards the boat on which the girl was leisurely seated with the gift .

A- acha haina ?

She asked showing the frame which had the group photo of their whole class ,taken during their first year tour .

S- bahut !

A- I think you should keep it . I'm not allowed to fix frames in the hostel , you can fix this in your home .

Her sight was still fixed on the frame which lied on her lap . He slowly chinned her up to meet her eyes which shouted weakness.

S- I told you not to get in the water . Ab deka ? Hamesha aisa hi karthi ho tum baby ...!

He spoke worriedly and buttoned out the wet sweater from her body .

He then removed her flats and dusted the sea sand before rubbing her foot continuously.

She silently watched him do everything.

S - you're going to fall sick again. We'll have to find a doctor here , chalo chalthey hain.

He was about to help her get down when she immediately grabbed his collar and pulled him close .

Her glistened eyes worried him . Cupping her face within his palms , he watched her in concern.

S- kya huwa ?

A- shivaay, kya tum bhi mumma papa ki tarah mujse dhoor chale jaaoge?

Her question was quick but the emotions carried in her cracked voice were clearly felt by him. His thumb traced the spot down her eyes to wipe those tear drops. Shaking his head , he adjusted her specs .

S- kya keh rahi ho baby tum ?

A- nahi vo , I always keep fighting with you. Even today I don't know why I did that , what if you...

S- so because of this you thought I'd leave you ?Baby , muje aadat hogayi tumhari ! Even if you want I won't be able leave you .

He expressed watching her intently while she kept looking down.

A- pata hai.

It was a mere whisper but he did hear it .

S- kisse baath ki thi aaj? Mumma ya papa?

She let a weak chuckle , none can certainly understand her the way he does .

A - I thought to visit mumma this weekend, but mumma asked me to stay at the hostel as she has got some work outside city .

Fixing her sight on his shirt button which she fidgeted , she complained like a mini kid for he listened quietly.

Well , that's exactly why he loves to call her as baby . Look at the minion face she had ! Being with her since past 7 years,  he certainly knows her very well. The difficulties she faces at situations ,  he had been with her through everything .

Indeed , her parents did injustice to the little she . He can't change her past but still, he can always be her beautiful future .

That's why there's no time he can be angry or upset with her . She looks upto him as her only possession , getting such kind of love from her obviously makes him strive to shower a more of the same on his girl.

S- this is a good news annika ! You can spend this weekend with me . In OM .

A- but

S- no! You are coming with me , that's final. Ab chalo  ,it's getting cold .

He affirmed , pulling her down and started walking when she passed the frame to him .

A- take this .

S- haan yes , I'll fix it in my room . Anyways we are going to share a room one day  like we share this gift now ! Shaadi ke baadh!

Picking it from her , he winked but she suddenly stopped walking ahead , catching his wrist.  He looked at her being baffled .

A- campfire dance ?

She asked innocently .

S- baby you have to change your dress first , then dinner . Uske baadh we will ,

He couldn't continue further when she came close and coiled her arms around his neck and looked into his eyes .

On still not feeling his touch  , she silently took the frame from his hands and placed it aside safely  before capturing him again . Grasping the signal , he gradually let his hands snake her waist which he soon gripped  tightly feeling the slender curve of her hip there .  She gasped when he squeezed her waist delicately .

A- campfire dance , sirf tumhare saath ?

She once again asked the same in that innocent tone and he passed a smile agreeing.

S- I can never deny your claims baby,  you know that.

Finishing his words,  he made light movements which she followed back in no time.

Their wet clothes literally stuck to themselves and they both were in turn stuck to each other so obviously every part of their front collided on the other to give them an insanely wild sensation. 

Taking the soothing sound of the tides as the only music, he twirled her around and dipped her down with  his hand paving the only balance for she closely held his face near to just continue feeling his breath into her's. 

The fire seemed to grow small when these two played  much to compete it .

R- where are they?

B- I don't know .

R- what if they had started a new fight once again ?

B- oh my god !

R- we have to find and stop them , vo dono kabhi bhi kahi bhi

His words stopped within his throat when he came back to the shore and watched the scene infront.

B- let me complete, kahi bhi apna romance shuru kardey thei hain.

Bhavya spoke as she stood beside him , watching the two dancing dolls who looked so in love .

R- arey , I never understand this yaar . They were actually fighting before few hours but look at them now .

B- then ? Will anyone be like you even ? Hamesha mujse jagda karthe rehthey ho !

Rudra's eyes turned wide at once when he realized that she was actually referring to him and herself in this topic.

R- tho tum chahthi ho ki mein bhi aise romance karoon tumhare saath ?

His honey tone of voice made her look down and blush noticing which he jumped in joy .

S- baby you might fall ill , we have to go .

As they stopped moving before long back , still holding onto each other like some perfect puzzles , he voiced out his concern.

She just traced her wet palm from his chest which was slightly revealed by those opened buttons , till his neck smoothly. Her addictive eyes were already driving him crazy and these sweet tortures were literally making him die in desire .

He equally gave her the same tension as he touched every spot of her waist above the dress which hugged her skin to give an epitome of feels to his hands .

A-  don't worry,  I feel far better , so much better  with you .

Looking at his lips and his eyes alternatively , she stated and breathed through her mouth .

But noticing him to have been concentrating on something else behind , she tilted her head back and questioned him through eyes while fixing her specs correctly  .

9.48 PM

Status - engaged.

He edited .

He showed the mobile screen for she grinned before pulling him closer by holding his neck.

A- ye cold war  ko iss campfire raath  mei katham kardhey thei hain .

She whispered over his lips and soon closed the gap dominating more , but he soon reached upto her pace and chewed her bud like lips like anything to create an havoc within her .

Their bodies were pressed more onto each other,  if that was still possible.

She was kind of rough with his hair whereas he played very light and delicate as he smoothly interlocked his fingers into her hair behind , near her neck .

Everytime he squeezes her waist she would toe up to give a more access of herself to him .

Oxygen asked them to fall apart which they hardly wanted to do now .

Moving all those hair strands which stuck to her face,  he pressed a hard peck on her already pink swollen lips and whispered ,

S- I love you baby .

His eyes had everything she would ask for . All she want from life is this man . She definitely is the luckiest.  What if God failed her in the chapter called parents , he has given her an entire book of love called shivaay .

A- so will you buy me an ice cream tomorrow?

S- sorry baby ,only that boiling dragon fire liquid is allowed for the next full week for you to drink . Nothing else  .

Hearing his announcement she hit his forehead with her's s and  smiled heartily which was the only need of his entire existence.
