' annika , you're an advocate right ? '

Annika- hmm.

She nodded without looking at him.

' why law ? '

A- it was my papa's wish . And from childhood , it was my ambition to become a prosecutor. Couldn't give any specific reason , bas I like being it .

Came her involuntary reply .

' fine , I like you . Shall I tell my parents that it's mutual ?'

He questioned and watched her face curiously while annika neither chose to look at him nor give a reply . She just looked away fidgeting those edged silk threads of her saree. He was about to hold her hand when suddenly, out of nowhere they  heard the door being forced to open from the other side .

Annika saw shivaay barging inside hurriedly, she was shocked when he twisted the man's hand and hurt him .

'Who the hell are you ?! '

A - shivaay ! Shivaay leave him .

She tried to pull his hold from the person but he was so strong .

By the time annika's father came in following shivaay .

Karthik- what is he doing here annika ? How dare you enter a commissioner's house and create a scene!

He screamed and tried to stop shivaay from hurting the man .

A- shivaay please stop it!

When annika shouted and pleaded like that , shivaay released the man who in turn watched him in horror.

' what's happening here  karthik ? Who is he ? '

The groom's father came there and enquired noticing his son's dishelved state.

Before karthik could answer, all heard shivaay's voice .

S- I'm Shivaay . Shivaay Singh Oberoi , annika's boyfriend.

He declared with no fear in his eyes looking straight at karthik who seemed fully enraged, while annika who stood beside karthik just remained silent .

'  Karthik ?is he telling the truth ? '

S- why are you asking him ? He knows , but he won't say the truth so let me tell you  , she is my girl !

Pointing his hand directly at her , shivaay made his statement. It made karthik so angry , he gritted his teeth .

' I didn't expect this from you karthik,  even after knowing all this why even did you call us ? '

He expressed his disappointment and anger before pulling his son along to leave.

K- I'm so contented annika . What sort of respect you have bought me ! I'm so overwhelmed and happy .

Karthik pretended to his words and annika just kept staring at the floor .

K- you! Do whatever you want . I won't let my daughter marry a man like you , never!

He shouted to make his statement clear , shivaay equally stared at him in rage .

Shivaay  noticed her in that neatly draped silk saree , her makeup , jewels which shone on her neck and ears. He grit his teeth and blinked hard.

S- wow ! From head to toe  , what a beauty you are . So?  That's it ! If you're going to marry some idiot whom your father points , why  the hell did you even say that you love me haan ? ! I hate to see you like this !! Dolled up for someone else .

Shivaay screamed and punched the wardrobe making a huge sound . She flinched.

K- get out right now ! Orelse, I would put you in the cell . You won't be able to  come out ever .

Annika held her father's hand and crushed it immediately.
Shivaay smirked hearing the threat.

S- Mr. Karthik , you certainly know that you can't scare me with all these silly threats. I'll leave soon , just two minutes .

He stated and neared annika to stand right infront of her while she watched at everything but him.

S- even now  you  don't want to speak right ? If you can't stand for your love at the most needed time  you shouldn't have chosen it annika ! Finally even you proved it , you just turned out to be one of those common selfish girls . For you , our love was just a game , right ?

Watching her to be standing quite still, shivaay's anger grew more . He once again punched the cupboard and walked out from there .

Annika wiped the small tear drop which came running down her cheek and gulped.

Omkara - shivaay you're spoiling yourslef . If she really loves you, will she have agreed to meet someone else? Maybe , you were just a damn time pass for her .

At once shivaay threw the whiskey bottle which went into pieces . Om  was taken aback noticing shivaay's fiery eyes .

S- don't you dare  speak about her like that ! I'll forget that you're my brother.

Om- whoa! You can speak all this right on her face but now you behave angry on me for saying the same?

S- none has the rights to speak about her . Get that first .

Om chuckled hearing his declaration.

Om- love has already made you insane shivaay .

Keerthana - didi, why aren't you picking up his call now haan ? Even this morning you did the same , that's why I attended the call and

She didn't complete her sentence when she realized what she was actually about to admit . Annika glared at her .

A- so you were the one who informed him about everything?

Keerthana gulped down slowly .

Ke- what will I do didi ? He was calling you  continuously .

Annika sighed shaking her head before pulling the comforter over herself while keerthana frowned .

Ke - now what ? Will you attend his call or not ?

Annika snatched the mobile from her and swiped the red . She put his number in the block list and hit the bed to sleep.

Ke- so sad of him didi , please don't do this.

A- Keethu are you going to sleep or shall I tell papa that you were the one who called shivaay and told everything this morning?

Ke - oh my god ! Good night didi .

She  hurried to lay on the bed and closed her eyes pretending to sleep, making annika smile faintly.

S - she isn't attending my calls Om , I don't know for what she's angry with me . For beating that stupid? For stopping the alliance?

Om blinked and shook his head in horror.

Om- I'm not going to say anything this time .

S- you don't know about her Om . Annika ....! What a beautiful name haina ! You can't ever find a girl like her Om. If love happens , it should happen with a girl like her ...no ! Just now I said there's none like her then how is it possible....so leave it Om . Stay single for life , ok ?

He dragged his sentence and started blabbering when Om facepalmed himself in defeat . Being with a drunken man is like throwing stones at your own face , poor Om.

Om - ok shivaay done ! I won't fall in love with anyone.  Now come , we have to leave .  See , they're going to close the pub . Come !

Om pulled shivaay's arm around his shoulder and supported him when suddenly a few cops entered inside and surrounded the both . Om was confused .

Om - what happened sir ?

' who is shivaay ? '

S- someone is calling me , Shivaay ! I'm shivaay !!

Shivaay lifted both his arms and exclaimed while Om looked clueless .

' take him '

The cop ordered the other who came forward and handcuffed shivaay .

Om- sir , sir what are you doing ?!! Do you know who he his ?

Om came infront and tried to stop them .

' Mr , we have an arrest warrant for shivaay.  Stay away from this or we will have to arrest you too '

Mentioning this the cop pushed Om away .

S- how dare you touch my brother !!

Shivaay immediately left a hard punch on the cop's nose who  started bleeding.  Om was shocked.

Om- shivaay what are you doing !?

The cops got even more aggressive when shivaay did that and  immediately arrested him after a big fight .

K- don't worry shruthi , he won't be a trouble hereafter. I gave the order to arrest him last night .

His wife  nodded before sitting beside him for breakfast. Annika and keerthana who just came out of their room ,heard everything. Annika was shook realizing of whom her father was actually speaking.

A- papa ? Shivaay is arrested?

K- then ? Let him know what happens when he creates scene at the commissioners house .

A- papa why did you do this ?

Shruthi came and held her hand when she started shouting .

Sh- annika , keep quite .

A- papa release him now !

She jolted off and shouted again .

Sh- annika , we know what is good for you.  Just keep quite !

A- maa ,  he doesn't deserve this punishment.

Keerthana couldn't watch her sister cry like that,  she immediately ran and stood with her .

Ke- don't cry didi , papa please leave him. See , our annika didi is crying.  Leave him papa !

K- even I can't see my daughter like this Keethu. Annika ...he isn't the right one for you . Please try to understand .

A- papa,  apart from being short tempered ...aggressive ,what is it that you find wrong in him ? Shivaay is not like what you think papa .

Annika wipes her tears and spoke facing him .

K- you will know why I'm insisting this once you become a parent . His profession,  his status... everything is secondary, but his angry attitude itself will be a big trouble in future.  I'm  telling this for your goodness annika . 

He was about to cup her cheeks when annika pushed his hands within no time and looked away .

A- fine , I'll go to the station.

Sh- annika ,  none is giving you  permission to go anywhere .You aren't going .

A- I will !

Instantly her mother gave a tight slap on her face for annika grit her teeth feeling a sharp pain on her cheek .

K - shruthi !

Karthik came and held his wife back .

Sh- leave me karthik , see how disrespectful she is ?! Becasue of him your papa had to face so much yesterday and you don't even bother about it right ?

Annika arrested all her tears within her eyes and watched her mother in anger .

A- you can't stop me . I am not going there as shivaay's girlfriend or your daughter.... rather,

She halted her words before collecting her advocate coat  which lied on the couch and left without looking back at them .

K- annika , annika !

Annika rushed towards the entrance of the station but halted after watching shivaay coming outside with his mother along who supported him to walk.

Her eyes glistened  within an instant when she noticed those red bruises on his face and arms , she stood numb .

By the time they both had already reached  near her . Pinky steamed in anger after noticing annika there .

Pinky - why are you here ? Have ideas to lock my son in this prison for life ? See what they have done to him !!

Shivaay opened his drowsy eyes slowly to look at her while annika kept opening and closing her mouth a several times but she couldn't say anything as she was really guilty. 

S- m..mom.

P- shivaay don't speak anything. Even after being the Oberois we weren't able to get a bail for you last night , her father had locked the case in such a way . Why did you come here now ? Look at his condition,  is this not enough for you ?

Annika shook her head helplessly and gulped down the heavy lump to control her tears . Shivaay felt it really difficult to see her like that, moreover the red mark on her left cheek clearly shouted that something had happened. He worried .

A- aunty ,...bail

P- you don't have to worry about that annika . I had hired the best lawyer for my son and I know what to do further . Go show your advocate skills somewhere else . Father will arrest  , daughter will support for bail . Nonsense!Just leave my son annika !

S- mom , please. An..nika

Shivaay was too tired and worn out to say anything.

Without waiting anymore pinky pulled shivaay with her and left from there while shivaay just kept turning  back to look at annika until his car moved out of her sight .

Annika silently wiped her tears before anyone could notice, and left from there without sparing him a look even after knowing that he would want her to see him .

Ke - hello.

S- hello , hello keerthana it's me shivaay .

Ke - shivaay ! Have you gone mad ? What if my mother had picked up the call?

She ran inside her bedroom with the cordless and closed the door.

S-  what can I do ?your sister is not answering my call since yesterday. That's why I called for the landline .

Ke - fine,  now tell me what is it ? I can't speak for a long time . I don't want to get slapped by mom like didi .

S- what ? Your mother slapped her ?

Ke - yeah. When didi fought with papa to go to the police station this morning , mummy got so angry and slapped her . Didi even cried so much you know? My poor didi ...!

Sensing a long silence from the other side,  keerthana doubted.

Ke - hello shivaay are you there ?

S- yea yeah , now where is she ?

Ke - she's not at home. There some investigation of a murder case . She has gone there .

S- place ?

'  your tea'

She heard the vendor's voice and turned to pick the glass but since it was so hot annika felt her fingers burning  . She would have already dropped it if not shivaay had been there at the right time,  he took the glass from her .

Annika mentally cursed herself for disclosing about her schedule to keerthana . That little devil would have told him about her whereabouts.

A- I can hold it .

She forwarded her hand to get the glass back but he rejected to give it .

S- no way , it's so hot ! Since when have you started drinking tea ?

A- it's for my senior .

S- which mad idiot is using juniors like this ? I want to see him.

Annika immediately sighed and grabbed the glass from him.

A- shivaay please , no scene here .

By the time her senior came there and she passed him the glass of tea .

' annika , the autopsy reports will be ready in sometime. I want a copy of it and  don't forget to get the crime study from the police station . Bring them to my office . I'm leaving now .'

Shivaay frowned . He hates it when people tend to behave dominative towards her .

A- ok sir .

The man left.

Annika was waiting outside the mortuary , holding some files and  coat in her hands . She didn't even spare of glance on him which made him mad.

If he stands by her left she'll face right and vice versa, some moments passed like this .

He lost his cool.

S- what's your problem now ? I stopped your happy happy alliance , is that it ?

Annika still just kept quite and watched at everything but him , he exhaled deeply to control himself. Once again her pink cheek fell on his sight making his eyes depict a soft reaction. He took his hand close to cup her cheek .

S- annika , this

He didn't speak further when she hit to push his hand away .

S- you're testing my patience annika .

A- then go ! Why would you stand here  ? Why would you be with selfish girl ? A girl who plays games , a girl who isn't truthful? Please go , don't waste your time in this selfish girl who doesn't even stand for her love !

Fresh tears came down her cheeks when she screamed at him . She sniffed and wiped those wet drops which remained continuous. Shivaay crushed his eyes regretting his own words .

S- annika , you know very well that I can't see your tears.  Please annika ...when keerthana said about the alliance I was ...I totally lost it , I just said all that in anger   . I'm so

A- exactly! Anger , is your problem .

S- annika we had discussed about this so many times .  I can't change myslef for anyone .

A- papa is right at his place , you are right in your place , so who's wrong? Annika ! 

She cried.

Shivaay couldn't see her break like that . He just wanted to hug her tightly and never let her go  . He even tried to hold her hand many times but she just kept on pushing him away .

S- ok , ok I'm sorry baby . Please don't cry .

A- don't touch me shivaay.

She turned  all sides when his hands tried to cup her face . He knew how stubborn she can be ,no worries,  even he can show how determined he is.

All his anger and temper might stay in limit now, because she is his primary priority anytime.
