It had been 9 years since the monsters first emerged from some place called the underground. Until then, they had been considered either simply creatures of legend, or long extinct. What no one could have expected though, was the young child that had emerged with them. It was them that saved all the monsters from immediate eradication, as many humans wanted to do. In fact, thanks to them, things looked up for monster-human relations that first year. That is, until everything went downhill. In the second year, the riots began. Anti-monster feelings were strong. By the end of 20XX, the rioters were terrifyingly violent, and many people and monsters were killed. In the third year, laws that were supposed to fix this were put in place. However, all they did was take away monster right after monster right. In the fourth year, monsters started to disappear, until finally, all out monster slavery was made legal and announced. Also that year came the reveal of humanity's latest and most terrible invention. A collar that every monster was fitted with that takes control of a monster's magic. It forces every monster to do whatever is asked of it, weather it wanted to or not. Now, five years had passed since the day the collar was revealed, and it STILL disguised you. You were a long supporter of many monster rights groups. You had always wanted to use your family's money to support monsters, but your father was solidly pro-slavery. Oh, did you forget? Your father owns one of the most successful corporations in the country. Someday, though, you knew you would transform your huge home into a place for monsters. It was only a matter of time.
