12. Over My Dead Body

Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Daniella sat in the police interrogation room, all four girls in their wedding clothes, covered in dirt from head to toe.

"They've been like this since we brought them in here" Garrett informed the detective standing next to him, looking at the girls through the sound proof glass window, "Haven't said a word, you know, there's probably a promotion in this for you, you were right all along, they're guilty and now we can prove it".

The officer detective smirked, he then placed his cup of coffee on to the table and entered the room the four girls were in, seeing him, all four girls were shocked, they never thought they would ever come across Detective Wilden ever again, but turns out they were extremely wrong.

"Did you miss me?" Wilden asked, he leaned over the table and stared at the girls, "This doesn't just look bad, it is bad, homicide is a capital offense in the state of Pennsylvania and you girls are going down".

12 Hours Earlier,

Spencer pressed Dr. Sullivan's doorbell but no one answered the door.

"Dr. Sullivan, are you home?" Hanna called out, as her and Daniella peeked through Dr. Sullivan's window, trying to see her but finding no one.

"Hi, you've reached Anne Sullivan" Emily listening to the voice message Dr. Sullivan sent her, "I've been called out of town on a family emergency, if you need immediate attention please see your physician for a referral".

"I got the same message from her" Daniella informed Emily.

"Yeah, she probably sent it to all of her clients" Spencer added.

"She's not here" Hanna concluded.

Spencer bent down and grabbed the newspapers that were on Dr. Sullivan's porch, "Looks like she didn't come home last night either, she hasn't checked her mail or picked up her papers".

"Maybe we should call the police" Emily suggested.

"And say what to Officer Garrett when he starts asking us questions?" Hanna asked.

"Yeah, Hanna's right" Spencer said, "Garrett, Jenna, Ian, Jason they're all connected, we can't trust any of them".

"Can you not bring Jason into this?" Daniella snapped.

"How can you still defend Jason?" Spencer snapped back, "I literally told you his connection with Ian and Garrett and you still refuse to believe he's the bad guy?".

"Something you saw in a yearbook proves nothing Spencer, I can guarantee you as soon as I talk to Jason about this club, it will be proven that he is innocent" Daniella said.

"You can't talk to him" Spencer protested.

"And whose going to stop me?" Daniella challenged.

"Daniella, if Jason finds out that we know about that N.A.T club, then we're all going to be in danger" Spencer argued.

"Are you insane?" Daniella asked, "Like honestly Spencer why do you always go 0 to a 100, why do you doubt anyone who even breathes in our direction?".

"Because we are surrounded by people we can't trust!" Spencer yelled.

"Yeah, you're right" Daniella said, "I'm most definitely surrounded by a friend that I can no longer trust".

"You're losing your trust in me because of Jason?" Spencer asked shocked.

"When you don't trust me when I keep repeating that Jason is innocent, then why should I trust you?" Daniella asked.

"Okay, guys enough!" Aria interrupted the two best friends right, "Right now is not the time to be fighting with each other".

"Aria's right, instead of fighting with each other we need to figure out what to do next" Emily said.

Spencer sighed, "We go into terror alert and hope that our phones don't ring", as soon as Spencer said that, Emily's phone started ringing, "That did not just happen!".

"It's Maya" Emily informed, looking down at her phone, a shy smile on her face.

Hanna chuckled, "Look at you suddenly all happy" she teased.

Daniella was in her room, getting ready to go talk to Jason about the N.A.T club, she needed to get to the bottom of this club before things got even more messy, however just as Daniella grabbed her bag to leave, her phone beeped, taking it out of her pocket, she realised it was a message from A.

She's still alive.

Below the message was a picture of Dr. Sullivan against a white wall, holding today's newspaper, proving that this picture isn't fake.

Seeing the picture, Daniella quickly ran out her room but instead of going to her Jason, she was now going to her friends.

10 hours earlier,

After all the girls received the same text about Dr. Sullivan still being alive, they all met up at Spencer's where she showed them a wooden box, on top of which was painted, open or she dies.

"I walked Toby outside and when I came back inside, it was here" Spencer informed.

"Here as in the middle of your freaking kitchen here or here as in your porch here and you carried it inside to your kitchen?" a panicked Daniella asked.

"I haven't touched it" Spencer clarified.

"Guys, I never told you this, but, Dr. Sullivan really helped me" Hanna said.

"Yeah, that was the reason that we trusted her" Spencer said, "She helped us all".

Hanna sighed, "You don't think her ear's in here, do you?".

"Oh!" a disgusted and frightened Spencer protested.

"It's a big box for an ear" Emily said.

"Let's just open it" Daniella said.

The other girls nodded and they then opened the wooden box, immediately they were met with a letter made out of cut out letters from a magazine.

Aria grabbed the paper and started reading it, "You have until 7pm to save her, these are my demands".

Spencer removed the cloth and immediately the girls were met with four dolls.

"Dolls?" a confused Hanna asked, wondering what A wanted them to do with the dolls.

"Okay" Spencer whispered, grabbing the first doll who was wearing a necklace with Daniella's name on it, "Guess this is yours".

Daniella took the doll from Spencer and started looking at it, wondering why A sent this, when her eyes landed on something on the back of the doll, "Guys" she called out, pulling the string on the back of the doll that made her talk.

"Go to this address and find out whose targeting you" the creepy doll said.

"I think this is the address A wants you to go to" Spencer said, handing Daniella a paper that was below her doll.

Daniella grabbed the paper and looked at the address, she was suddenly really afraid of what she was going to find at this address.

Next Spencer grabbed Aria's doll and handed it to her.

"Make Jackie go away" Aria's doll said, as Daniella grabbed the papers that were under Aria's doll.

"Is there a creepier word than creepy?" Hanna asked.

Aria looked at the papers her sister was reading, "Wait, this is the paper Jackie's getting published on Theodore Gericault".

"Theodore Gericault was a french painter" Daniella informed.

"Who painted" Hanna said.

"Yeah, in a word" Spencer said.

"Aria, along with Jackie's work A also gave you this french article someone wrote on Gericault and it's exactly like the article Jackie wrote" Daniella informed, comparing the two papers.

"She plagiarized this" Spencer realised, Daniella nodded her head in confirmation.

Next up, Hanna grabbed the doll with her name on it, "Stop the wedding" the doll said.

Spencer then grabbed her doll, "Keep Toby safe" the doll said.

"Oh, my god" a shocked Spencer whispered, suddenly realising something, "When Toby was driving his truck this morning his brakes went out, that wasn't an accident, that was A".

Emily started looking around the box when she realised there was no doll for her, "I didn't get one" she said, extremely confused.

"You've been A's target for weeks, Em" Aria reminded.

"Yeah, maybe A's bored with you" Hanna added, "And I mean that as a good thing".

"This is certainly a great way to shut my mouth" Daniella whispered, sitting next to Hanna on the couch, "The one time we find the courage to tell someone what we've been going through, A puts their life in danger, if A can do that to Dr. Sullivan, it makes you realise that A can hurt anyone and everyone we love and care about".

"So we do these things, and A gives her back?" a confused Hanna asked, "Is that what we're supposed to believe?".

"Yeah, I get that this is a game but I don't understand it" Emily said, equally as confused.

"Spence" Aria called out, when the Hasting girls stayed quiet.

"No, it's brilliant, actually" Spencer said, "A is being our ultimate frenemy forcing us to get what we want but knowing that when we do--".

"All hell breaks loose" Hanna finished.

"I want to find out who this person is whose been targeting me, if they are A or not, but if I go to this address, what's the guarantee that I will be okay?" Daniella said, expressing her fear.

"Believe me, I really want to get rid of Jackie but if I use this to do it Ezra may never forgive me" Aria said, "I mean, there's a reason we can't just go around telling the truth cause it comes back to bite you, hard".

Spencer looked at the clock, "Okay, we have five hours to obey our chucky dolls or--", Spencer eyes landed on the words she dies sprayed on the box, "I saw A push Ian off that bell tower and there was no hesitation".

"Spence, what are you saying?" Hanna asked.

"She's saying that killing comes very easy to A" Daniella clarified.

"And I only know one way to keep Toby safe and that's to keep him away from me" an emotional Spencer said.

Present,

An emotional and distraught Daniella sat in the interrogation room, right now there was only one person she needed, so she decided to call him here.

"Excuse me" Daniella called out, grabbing the attention of the officer present in the room, "I didn't make my call before, can I please do it now?".

The officer nodded his head, Daniella stood up and let the officer guide her out, as she was walking her eyes landed on Garrett, who was looking at her with a smug look on his face, ignoring him Daniella sat on the table the officer guided her to and grabbing the phone she dialed a number.

Daniella waited a moment for the other person to pick up and they finally did.

"I didn't do anything" Daniella cried, "I need you to believe me that I didn't do this, please I need you more then anything right now".

6 hours earlier,

Daniella's look for Hanna's dads wedding

Daniella stared at herself in the mirror, she had gotten ready for Mr. Marin's wedding early, she had told her mother it was because Hanna wanted her to come to the wedding early to help her out but the truth was, before attending the wedding, Daniella was going to visit the address A gave her, hoping and praying this wasn't going to end in a disaster.

"You look beautiful" Ella praised, entering her daughter's room.

Daniella gave her mother a small smile from the mirror, "Thank you" she said, she then turned around and faced her mother, remembering that today her brother had gone to see his therapist, "So how did Mike do today?".

"Mike seems relieved and his therapist said he was really open to talking" Ella informed.

"That's good" Daniella said, happy that her brother was slowly but surely doing better.

"Mike was starving so dad took him and Aria to Papa's pizza" Ella said.

Aria chuckled, "Sounds just like our old Mike".

Ella nodded her head, "So I'm gonna go take a long, hot bath and pretend for one hour that I'm the perfect parent".

"Mom" Daniella called out, stopping her mom from walking away, "Parenting is a hard job, especially when it comes to three teenagers, we can't always get it right".

Ella gave her daughter a small smile, "I'll see you at the wedding".

Daniella nodded, "See you at the wedding" she whispered.

"You have arrived at your destination" Daniella's car GPS said.

Daniella looked infront of her and realised the address A had given her had lead her straight to what looks like an abandoned cabin in the middle of the woods, a fearful Daniella looked at the cabin infront of her for a second, she then shook her head.

"I can't" Daniella whispered, "I can't go in there".

Just as Daniella turned her key, her phone beeped.

Go in Dani, or she runs out of air

Daniella looked at the text and then at the creepy cabin infront of her, realising if she didn't go in, then Dr. Sullivan was going to die and Daniella realised she couldn't let that happen, after dialing 911 on her keypad and making sure she could easily call them if something went wrong, Daniella finally stepped out of the car, she took a deep breath and then proceeded to walk towards the door.

"Hello?" Daniella called out, wondering if someone was in the cabin or not, "Anyone in there?".

When she got no response, Daniella decided to knock on the cabin door, but to her surprise as soon as she knocked on the door, the cabin door opened by itself.

"You can do this Dani" Daniella whispered, "It's just a cabin, it's going to be okay".

After giving herself a small pep talk, Daniella finally stepped into the cabin, as soon as Daniella stepped inside, the door behind her closed shut.

"No!" Daniella yelled, rushing over to the door and trying to get it to open.

"Dani".

Hearing someone whisper her name immediately caused a panicked Daniella to start looking around, but she couldn't see anything due to the darkness surrounding her.

"Whose there?!" Daniella yelled, "Whoever you are, show yourself!".

Suddenly Daniella put her hand up to her face to shield herself from the bright light that just turned on, after her eyes adjusted to the light, Daniella looked around and the wall infront of her shocked.

The wall was full of photos of Daniella, photos Daniella didn't even know existed, some of the photos had Jason but his face was scribbled on with a red marker and across all the photos, with red spray were the words, if I can't have you, no one can.

"What?" a confused Daniella whispered.

Before she could process anything, some kind of gas suddenly started filling up the room, immediately causing Daniella to start coughing, she tried to press the call button on her phone but due to the intensity of the gas caused her phone to drop to the floor along with her.

3 Hours Earlier,

Daniella laid in the middle of the cabin, gasping for air, her vision extremely blurry, when suddenly the cabin door bursted open, even if Daniella wanted to, she couldn't see who had entered the cabin, it seems like the gas had left her in almost a paralyzed state, she was awake but she couldn't move or speak, or even open her eyes.

Suddenly, two hands covered in black gloves, grabbed Daniella by the shoulder and dragged her out the cabin.

"It's okay Dani" Daniella heard a voice say, she swears she has heard this voice before, but her head was too foggy to connect the dots, "I would never hurt you, soon the gas's affect will go away and you'll be alright, but be warned Dani, the closer you get to Jason, the more pain you will need to endure, so stay away from him".

Daniella tried to speak, she tried yell but nothing came out, she tried to move but none of her limbs worked, and before she could even realise it, Daniella was out cold.

***

"Dani!" Daniella heard her sister yell.

"Dani, are you okay?" Daniella heard Hanna ask.

Daniella groaned and slowly opened her eyes, the effects of the gas finally worn off, allowing Daniella to move.

"What happened?" Emily asked, all the girls hovering above Daniella, concerned for her wellbeing.

Daniella tried to remember what happened but she remembered nothing after entering the cabin, not even the photos she saw, "I don't remember" she whispered, holding her head, "I remember going to that cabin but nothing after that".

"I went into that cabin, but there's nothing in there" Spencer informed.

"Why did A send Dani here?" a confused Hanna asked.

"I don't know" Spencer asked, looking at Daniella in concern.

"Wait" a confused Daniella said, looking at her friends, "How are you guys here?".

"A trapped Emily in a barn, after we found her we got another message from A informing us you were in danger" Aria replied, hugging her sister, she was terrified that she was about to lose her sister.

"When we got here we saw you unconscious" Emily added.

Daniella nodded in understanding, she then held her head in her hands, "God, why can't I remember anything?".

Aria looked her sister, "Maybe cause A doesn't want you to remember".

All the girls look at Aria then at Daniella, realising there was a chance that Daniella had seen or heard something that A didn't want her to remember.

***

Present,

"I can't believe the medic found nothing in your blood" Hanna whispered to Daniella, as they sat in the investigation room.

"Same" Daniella said, "I mean something had to be given to me to forget a chunk of time, but apparently nothing was found in my blood, now no one's going to believe that something happened to me".

"No one believes us anyways" Aria whispered.

Suddenly the door to the investigation room opened and Emily came in.

"Em, are you okay?" Daniella asked.

"I haven't said a word to anyone" Emily whispered to her friends.

"They're watching us" Spencer quickly informed, stopping Emily from revealing anything they can't afford for the cops to know.

"What did the doctor say?" Hanna asked Emily.

"He gave me some oxygen" Emily informed, sitting infront of Spencer, next to Daniella, "I'm fine".

"I wanna see my daughter and I wanna see her now" Veronica Hastings told an officer.

"I understand but I have to wait for the officer in charge" the officer informed.

"Well, they're in custody, but they haven't been booked" Peter Hasting said, talking to his lawyer on the phone, "Well yeah, I understand that--", Peter stopped talking when his eyes landed on Jason, "I have to call you back", Peter quickly walked over to Jason and stopped him from walking any further, "What the hell are you doing here?".

"Don't" Jason warned, pushing Peter away from him.

"You need to stay away from this" Peter stated.

"You have no say in that" Jason snapped, "I think my sister would want me here".

"Look, this isn't just about me, alright?" Peter said, "It's about you, I did things to protect you that you don't even know about".

"My mother told me about the will, okay?" Jason said, "And you didn't need to do that, I didn't kill Ali".

"I never thought you did" Peter assured, "Jason, I have watched you grow up, I've seen what you've gone through and I was honest with you last night because I thought it would help".

"No, you told me because I didn't give you a choice" Jason argued, "Why do you think I bought that house, huh? I knew what I'd find, Ali was great at keeping secrets but she was also great at punishing people with the truth", Jason eyes landed on Veronica, "Does she know?".

Peter looked at Veronica then back at Jason, "No" he informed, "And she's not gonna find out tonight".

"When and if you tell her is not my business, but you need to move out of my way" Jason stated.

"Jason--".

"I'm not here for you, okay?!" Jason snapped, "Just move!".

Peter looked at Jason in confusion but before he could say anything, someone called Jason's name.

"Jason".

Peter and Jason turned around to see an emotional Daniella being escorted by an officer.

"Dani" Jason said, trying to reach Daniella but one of the officer's held him back, "Let go of me!".

"Jason, I didn't do anything" Daniella cried.

"I know Dani, trust me I know" Jason said, trying to reach Daniella but the officer wouldn't let him, "I love you, okay? You're going to be fine, I won't let anything happen to you".

"I love you too" Daniella cried, as the officer dragged her away, while Peter Hastings looked between Jason and Daniella, realising that Jason wasn't here to torment him, he was here for Daniella Montgomery, the girl he loved and would fight anyone for.

2 Hours Earlier,

"That" Daniella pointed towards a shovel next to her car, "I don't remember there being a shovel there".

"You don't remember a lot" Hanna pointed out.

"But I remember coming here" Daniella retorted, "And that shovel wasn't here when I came here".

The five girls walked over to the shovel and Spencer grabbed it, looking inside it the girls were met with some coordinates.

"It's a set of latitude-longitude coordinates" Spencer realised.

"The text A sent me in the church said she was about to run out of air" Hanna remembered.

"I remember receiving the same text from A before everything went blank" Daniella added.

"Did A bury Dr. Sullivan, alive?" a shocked Aria asked.

"Okay, I think we have to go left up here and then it's not much farther" Spencer informed, as the five friends walked in the woods, following the coordinates A sent them.

"Yeah but in these heels not much further seem a lot further then normal" Daniella complained.

"Can't do it" a tired Emily complained, as the girls stopped and proceeded to take their shoes off.

"Wait" Spencer said, looking at her phone, "It says that this is it, we're here".

"There's nothing here" Aria pointed out as the girls looked around but found no sign of Dr. Sullivan anywhere.

"Guys" Hanna called out, as her eyes landed on a yellow wire sticking out of the ground.

"Could she be under there?" a worried Emily asked, just as Hanna's phone beeped.

Hanna looked down at her phone realising it was a message from A, a panicked Hanna then looked at her friends, "She's still alive, but we should start digging".

"Dr. Sullivan!" Emily yelled as all five girls ran to get Dr. Sullivan out of the ground.

"There's something down there!" a panicked Spencer revealed, using the shovel to dig while the other girls used their hands, all wanting to save their therapist before it was too late.

"Oh, my god!" Hanna yelled as the girls eyes landed on a pair of boots, "Her boots! Those are her boots! Go! Fast".

"Dr. Sullivan!" Daniella yelled as her, Aria and Spencer dug and finally came across her face, suddenly all five girls stopped digging when they realised it wasn't Dr. Sullivan, it was a mask.

"What the hell?" a confused Aria said.

Suddenly the five girls heard police helicopters in the sky, shinning their light right on them.

"They're over here!" the girls heard an officer yell, "This is the police, stay where you are!".

"A set us up" Spencer realised, as the girls slowly stood up.

"But for what?" Daniella asked, really confused.

"Ten-four, they're all on the ground!".

Present,

"I thought Detective Wilden was fired" a confused Hanna told Veronica.

"He was suspended for his actions but he's been reinstated as the chief officer in this investigation" Veronica clarified.

"How could that happen?" a shocked Spencer asked.

"He has evidence to back up his allegations" Veronica replied, "And it's significant or you wouldn't be here".

"Has anyone called my parents?" a worried Emily asked.

"They're on their way" Veronica informed, just as the door opened and Wilden walked into the room.

"When Alison Dilaurentis was murdered she was hit so hard, it made an indentation to her skull" Wilden informed the girls, "I've given you guys so many chances to just be honest with me, evidence doesn't lie", Wilden grabbed the shovel from an officer and placed it on the middle of the table, "We've known all along what the murder weapon was, tonight we caught you with it".

Despite their situation, Daniella couldn't help but look at Spencer with a told you so look, this proved that Jason didn't hit Alison with a hockey stick, it was A with the shovel placed infront of them and now A was making them take the blame for it.
