13. The First Secret

Rosewood, Pennsylvania,
October 28, 2008

"So, what do you think, Em?" Alison asked Emily, as the six friends walked down the pavement after school, "Should Hanna be cute Britney or bald Britney?".

"If she wants to be cute Britney" Emily simply replied.

"Dani?" Alison asked next.

Daniella looked at Hanna, "Please don't shave your head just for a Halloween costume".

Alison and the rest of the girls chuckled, Alison then glanced at Spencer, she shook her head seeing Spencer busy on her phone, "Spencer, you're worse than my father".

"Sorry" Spencer apologised, "But I did just procure nine votes from the debate team".

"Wait, that's a good thing, right?" a confused Hanna asked.

"Yeah, and procured means to obtain with special effort" Spencer explained, "And obtain means to gath--".

"Are you gonna recite the entire dictionary?" Alison asked, interrupting Spencer before she could go on.

"I think that Hanna should be who she wants to be" Spencer finally said.

"Fine" Alison said, she looked at Hanna, "But you better wear the tightest skinny pants you can fit your big butt into".

Suddenly, both Emily and Daniella's phone went off.

"Ben?" Aria asked Emily.

"He's all about me going as a sexy cop for Halloween" Emily informed, checking Ben's message, "But I'm thinking Indian girl".

"Who messaged you?" Alison asked Daniella, seeing her busy on her phone.

Daniella looked at Alison, "Uh, it was my mom, she's picking my costume up, she was just making sure she got everything" she lied, not wanting to tell Alison that it was actually Jason who messaged her, wanting to know what Daniella was being for Halloween.

Alison looked at Daniella with narrowed eyes, but before she could say anything to her, Noel Kahn with a bunch of his friends drove up to the six girls.

"What a shame" Alison told Noel, "All that testosterone and not a sheep in sight".

"Careful, Alison" Noel warned, "See, I get your jokes but someday you might meet a guy who doesn't", Noel then looked towards Daniella, "Hey, Dani".

Daniella gave Noel a small wave, "Hey, Noel" she greeted.

"So am I gonna see you at my party on Friday?" Noel asked.

Daniella looked at Noel in confusion, "I wasn't aware that I was invited to this party of yours".

"Of course you're invited, all of you are" Noel informed, suddenly the car behind Noel's honked, telling Noel to move, "Come prepared to be scared".

"Wait, did we just get invited to Noel Kahn's Halloween bash?" an excited Hanna asked, after Noel had driven away.

"I'm a little embarrassed by how excited you girls are" Alison said, "It's just a party".

"Ali, it's not just a party" Spencer said.

"It's the party" Aria finished.

Alison chuckled, "You're right" she said, "And I'm happy we'll be there together".

All girls giggled and started to walk again.

Spencer looped her arm with Daniella's, "So Noel Kahn specially invited you, are you finally going to give him a chance?" she whispered.

"No" Daniella whispered back.

"Why not?" Spencer asked.

"Because I'm not interested in him" Daniella replied.

"Why not?" Spencer asked.

"That's a secret" Daniella teased.

"We should all get ready together" Alison announced, bring Spencer and Daniella back into the conversation, "Spence, you've gotten the biggest bedroom, let's have it there".

"Is that cool?" Spencer asked the rest of her friends.

"Yeah" Hanna assured.

"Okay" Spencer said, agreeing to have everyone get ready at her room.

"Hold up" Emily suddenly said, stopping her friends from walking any further, she gestured towards the haunted looking house infront of them, "I think there's somebody in there".

"Are you just trying to scare us?" a scared Hanna asked.

"No!" Emily immediately said, "No, I swear, I just saw someone in the window".

"Well, kids go in there all the time around Halloween" Spencer reminded, "It's like a rite of passage in this town".

"Wish they'd just tear this place down already" a creeped out Aria said, "Every time I walk by here, I get the creeps".

"It's just an ugly old house, Aria" Alison said.

"An ugly old house that has a really weird vibe to it" Daniella said, looking at the house infront of her, "It just seems like something really bad happened in there".

"There's nobody in there" Spencer assured, "Come on".

The six friends walked away from the house, completely missing the front door opening and the Radley Sanitarium car parked infront of the house.

Aria and Daniella entered Hollis college, as they were walking towards their father's office, Aria bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry" Aria said, quickly walking away from the guy, who turned out to be Ezra Fitz.

Both Aria and Daniella entered Byron's office, Daniella placed his bag on to his table, while Aria wrote him a note.

"He's in a meeting".

The twins turned around and to their confusion, they saw a girl lying on the couch.

"That's fine, we were anyways just leaving him a note" Daniella said, gesturing towards the note pad in Aria's hand.

After a moment, Byron entered the room, "Ah, yes I forgot my briefcase again" he realised.

"Yeap, mom saw it in the kitchen" Aria informed.

Byron's eyes then landed on the girl on his couch, "Oh, hey, Meredith" he greeted, "Didn't realise you were here".

"I needed a quiet place to read" Meredith said, sitting up while Aria and Daniella stood their awkwardly, "Hope that's okay".

"Sure" Byron said, glancing at his daughters, "So, wanna grab a coffee or something?".

"We can't, we promised mom we will help her with dinner" Daniella said.

"Okay" Byron whispered.

"Well, see you in class" Meredith said, standing up and grabbing her bag.

"You too" Byron said, as Meredith walked out of his office.

"What's her story?" Aria asked, as her and Daniella sat on Byron's desk.

"Well, students crash here all the time" Byron clarified.

"Why?" Daniella asked, "Because you're the cool teacher?".

"Yeah, because I'm down with that" Byron said playing along, making both his daughters chuckle, "Come on, give me a break".

Daniella and Aria sat with Emily at their table in the school cafeteria, eating their lunch, when Hanna walked over to them.

"Em, you need to go talk to Ben" Hanna said, taking a seat infront of Aria, next to Daniella.

"What's going on?" a slightly confused Emily asked.

"He's been telling all of his guy friends that you guys had sex last weekend" Hanna informed.

"What?" a shocked Daniella asked, she looked at the Fields girl, "Em, if you want I will go kick his ass for you".

"No Dani, don't do anything" Emily pleaded, confusing her friends.

"Emily, you can't just ignore this" Aria said.

"Em?" Hanna said, seeing a sheepish look come on their friend's face.

"Holy crap" Daniella whispered, realisation drawing on her, "You don't want me to kick his ass because it's true, isn't it?".

"Wait, why didn't you tell us?" an excited Hanna asked.

"Tell us what?" Alison asked, coming over to her friends and sitting on the other side of Daniella.

"Hi, you guys" Mona greeted, walking over to the girls.

"If you ignore it, it will go away" Alison told the girls, completely ignoring Mona, causing her to walk away, upset.

"Ben's telling people we had sex" Emily told Alison.

"What?" a shocked Spencer asked, coming and sitting next to Emily, across Alison.

"And he's still breathing because?" Alison asked.

"It's true" Aria informed.

"I can't believe Emily lost her V before anyone of us did" Hanna complained.

"Why is that so hard to believe?" Emily asked, slightly defensive.

"I didn't mean anything by it, I just thought you were a prude" Hanna defended.

"Shy on the streets, sexy in the sheets" Alison teased, "I knew there was something different about you".

After school, Aria, Daniella and Alison grabbed frozen yogurts and were now walking down the pavement together.

"Alison!" Mona yelled, running behind the girls.

"Do you guys hear Mona?" an annoyed Alison asked the twins.

"Hey, Aria, Daniella! Hey, guys!" Mona yelled.

"Is she ever gonna get a clue?" Alison asked, as the girls started walking faster, "What a dork".

To lose Mona the girls quickly turned in an alley, laughing, but their laughter quickly died when the twins saw their dad's car.

"Isn't that your guys dad's car?" Alison asked.

Aria and Daniella watched in shock as Byron leaned over the passenger seat and kissed his student Meredith.

"Ian, right now is not the time, I told you, I'm looking for Dani" Jason said into his phone, walking down the streets of Rosewood looking for his girlfriend, who had not come to the date he had planned and when he had called her she didn't pick up, but her sister did who told him even she couldn't find Daniella, worrying Jason even more.

"Oh come on Jason, the one time you're sober, you decide to spend it with your girlfriend?" Ian asked, "Me and Garrett are planning to make a movie, come join us".

"Not interested, I have better things to do" Jason said, looking around around for Daniella.

"Fine, be like that but I'm grabbing your camera" Ian said.

"Go for it" Jason said, hanging up on Ian.

After walking around for a bit more, Jason arrived at a playground he remembered Daniella telling him she went to this playground everytime she was upset, arriving there, Jason breathed a sigh of relief seeing his girlfriend sitting on the swing.

"Dani!" Jason yelled, gaining the oldest Montgomery's attention.

"Jason?" a confused Daniella whispered, standing up from the swing.

Jason didn't waste a second in running over to Daniella and pulling her into a tight hug, "Oh thank god, you're okay" he whispered, as Daniella hugged him back, "I was so worried for you".

"I'm not okay, Jason" Daniella cried.

Hearing Daniella's cries, Jason broke the hug and looked at her in concern, "Dani, what's wrong? he asked, cupping Daniella's face in his hands, "Why are you crying?".

"He cheated on her Jason" Daniella sobbed, "My dad cheated on my mom with his student".

Daniella fell to the ground on her knees, her heart was hurting for her mother, for their family, her heart was hurting because the man she looked up to, the first man she learnt to love just broke her heart, broke their family apart.

Jason quickly kneeled infront of Daniella and hugged her, "It's okay baby, I've got you" he whispered into Daniella's ears.

Daniella didn't say anything, just hugged Jason tightly and cried till she had no tears left, and Jason let her, while at the same time hugging her and letting her know he was here for her.

After her crying at the park, Jason had taken Daniella to his house, assuring her Alison wasn't there, he then made her some noodles and after spending the whole day with each other, a reluctant Daniella finally came home.

As she opened  her bedroom door, she was shocked seeing her father sitting on her bed, waiting for her.

"I've been calling you all afternoon" Byron told Daniella, "I talked to Aria, and I need to talk to you".

"Nothing you could say is going to make me forgive you" Daniella said, glaring at her father, "Where's mom, Mike and Aria?".

Byron sighed, "Your mom took Aria and Mike to the movies".

"She took, or you convinced her so you can convince me to hide this from her?" Daniella asked.

"Dani--".

"What does she know?" Daniella interrupted, "Hell does she even know anything?".

"She knows nothing" an ashamed Byron whispered.

Tears welled in Daniella's eyes once again, she was regretting not listening to Jason, she should have just stayed the night with him, "Mom loves you so much, and this is what you do to her?".

"Listen" Byron said, standing up from Daniella's bed, "What you saw was the end of something, not the beginning, she's transferring out of my class, I won't see her again".

"Oh and that makes all of this okay, right?" Daniella snapped.

"No" Byron quickly said, "No, but I'm hoping that it's enough for you and your sister to realise that you don't need to tell your mom about this".

"Oh so cheating wasn't enough for you, now you want me and Aria to lie for you?!" Daniella yelled, "How low are you going to fall dad?!".

"I made a mistake" Byron defended, "But it doesn't have to be any bigger than it is, right now".

"You didn't make a mistake dad, it was much bigger than a mistake, I can't even look at you without feeling disgusted by you" Daniella cried, "I want you to get out of my room".

"Dani please--".

"Get out of my room dad or I'll leave, and I swear I won't come back and then you can tell mom why I left!" Daniella threatened.

Byron sighed, but the nonetheless nodded and started walking towards Daniella's door, knowing if he pushed her then Daniella would definitely leave.

As Byron reached Daniella's door, he turned to her one last time, "Dani, you have every right to be mad at me, I'm just hoping that this can be less about that and more about protecting your mom".

Daniella kept her back towards her father, with her head bent down and tears falling down her face, she whispered, "I am never going to forgive you for this dad".

"I am so--".

"Don't" Daniella snapped, "Don't say your sorry, your sorry means nothing to me, I just want you to leave dad".

Byron nodded, "I will respect whatever yours and Aria's decision is" he said, before finally walking out of Daniella's room, leaving a distraught Daniella to crumble down on the floor, this time with no Jason to hold her this time.

"Will you stop stressing?" Alison told Spencer, standing at her locker with Hanna, Spencer and Emily, "I took care of it".

"Took care of what?" a confused Hanna asked.

Spencer looked at Alison in panic, hoping she wasn't going to tell Hanna that Alison rigged the elections to make Spencer win.

"I helped her with her acceptance speech" a smirking Alison informed.

"Easy on the coffee Spence, your hand's already shaking" Emily said, as Daniella and Aria walked over to their friends.

"That's not possible Em, Spencer has more coffee in her veins then blood" Daniella teased, making Spencer chuckle.

"You two okay?" Alison asked the twins.

Daniella and Aria exchanged a look, "We're fine" Aria assured.

"What's wrong, guys?" Spencer asked, suddenly worried for her friends.

"How's your mom?" Alison asked curiously.

"Don't" Daniella warned, glaring at Alison, confusing the rest of her friends.

Alison shook her head, she then turned to walk away, in the process bumping into Lucas, causing his drink to fall on to Alison's shoes.

"I-I'm sorry" Lucas apologised, quickly getting down on his knees and proceeding to wipe Alison's boots, "I'm sorry, Ali".

"Don't touch me" a furious Alison said.

"It was just an accident" Lucas defended, standing up.

"Is that what the doctors told your mom and dad at the hospital?" Alison asked.

"What?" Lucas asked confused.

"I've heard the stories about you, Hermie" Alison said.

"My name is Lucas" Lucas stated, grabbing his back.

"You'll aways be Hermie to me" Alison retorted, "Do you still have both?".

"What are you talking about?" Lucas asked.

"Come on, girls" Alison said, rolling her eyes at Lucas and then walking away with her friends.

"Both what Ali?" a confused Hanna asked, following Alison.

"Parts, Hanna" Alison replied, "He's half-guy, half-girl".

Lucas looked at Mona, anger evident on his face, "One day she'll get what's coming to her" he stated, making Mona nod her head in agreement.

As the six girls walked outside to the courtyard, the announcement on the speakers caught their attention.

"Students, the wait is over, to say it was a tight race is an understatement, winning by two votes, please, congratulate Spencer Hastings, your new class president!".

An excited Daniella hugged her best friend, while everyone else started clapping for Spencer, who instead of celebrating was looking at Alison with a worried expression on her face, who in turn just winked at her.

"Hey" Aria greeted, as her and Daniella entered Spencer's room where the rest of the girls were busy getting ready.

"Hey, where's both of your costumes?" a confused Hanna asked, seeing the twins come empty handed.

Daniella sighed, "Me and Aria aren't really feeling this party, we don't want to go but we came here to see your guy's costumes".

Alison looked at the twins, "What's this about, guys?" she asked, causing the the sisters to stare at her, a warning in both their eyes, telling her to keep quiet.

Their glaring competition was broken when Spencer let out a gasp, "Oh, my gosh, you guys!" she yelled, looking out the window and seeing a masked person looking in her window.

"There's somebody out there, he's watching us" a terrified Emily said, rushing over to the window with the rest of the girls.

"Oh my god" Hanna said, watching the masked person walk away.

"Who is that?" Aria asked confused.

"I'm so creeped out" Hanna stated.

"Whoever it was, they're gone" Alison informed, looking out the window and seeing no one.

"That was freaky" Hanna commented, as the friends breathed a sigh of relief seeing the person gone.

"It's Halloween Hanna, don't you love a good scare?" Alison asked, just as the doorbell rang, startling the girls.

"It's probably the pizza guy" Spencer assured her friends.

"Hurry up before he leaves" Alison said.

"I don't wanna go down alone" Spencer said, still feeling creeped out.

"I'll go" Emily assured.

"Yeah, me too, I'm hungry" Hanna said, following Emily and Spencer downstairs.

Aria and Daniella went to follow, but Alison stopped them, "Can I talk to you two?" she asked.

"Yeah sure" a confused Daniella said, wondering what Alison wanted to talk to her about.

"Nobody likes downers" Alison said, "And since you two saw your dad kissing that tart, you two are like energy suckers every time you walk into a room".

Both Daniella and Aria looked at Alison in shock, not expecting her to be this insensitive, "Ali, we're kind of dealing with a lot right now" Aria defended, "Can you cut us some slack?".

"Are they getting a divorce?" Alison asked.

"No Alison, they're not" an annoyed Daniella snapped.

"If I were your mom--".

"She doesn't know" Aria informed.

"I knew your dad would talk you two out of it" Alison said.

"He hasn't talked us out of anything, this is hard for us okay, we can't just drop such a huge bomb on our mother" Daniella said, "Right now, a party is the last thing either of us need right now, all we want to do is go home and cry into our pillows and think about our family is possibly destroyed forever because of our dad".

"You two committed to this party, Dani" Alison reminded.

"There's gonna be a gazillion people there" Aria argued, "Nobody's gonna miss us".

"I will" Alison said.

"Well, we appericate that, but we just--".

"You know, it wasn't easy scoring you an invite" Alison interrupted Aria, "A week ago Noel Kahn didn't even know your name, Aria".

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, okay?" Aria said, while Daniella stood there, trying to control her anger, "We're sorry".

"I didn't tell the girls about what happened" Alison said, stopping the twins from walking out the room, "I'm sure you two appericate that".

Aria turned to face Alison, "We do, thanks".

"Are you two sure we're the only ones who saw them?" Alison asked, "I'd hate for your mom to find out from someone else".

Daniella glared at Alison, she suddenly stood infront of her, "Are you threatening us Ali?".

"Trick or treat, Dani" Alison teased.

Daniella let out a mock chuckle, "We'll go to this party" she suddenly said, "But not because I'm afraid you will tell my mother, but to prove to you that we don't need you, because you see Alison, Noel Kahn invited me to this party long before he invited you, without you, people still notice us, so if you don't fix this disgusting attitude of yours, then soon they will be a time where us five will standing united against you, and you will have no one but your bitchy attitude to blame miss queen bee".

Daniella turned around and left the room, leaving a furious Alison, who hated that Daniella always had the guts to stand up to her.

Daniella's Halloween Costume

The six friends walked into Noel Kahn's very popular Halloween party.

"Is the doctor in?" Alison asked, as Noel walked over to them in his doctor's costume.

"Actually, I'm a gynecologist" Noel clarified.

"Ooh" Alison teased.

Noel looked at Daniella, "Care to make an appointment?" he asked.

Daniella let out an awkward laugh, "Uh, I'm good, but thanks for the offer".

"Fair enough" Noel said, "So I'm guessing you're a skeleton".

"What gave it away?" Daniella teased, making Noel laugh.

Noel then looked at Alison, "Hot chick", he then looked at Hanna, "Britney", next he looked at Aria, "Hot witch", then at Emily, "hot Indian chick", lastly he looked at Spencer, but he had no idea what she was, "And, uh..".

"Mary Queens of Scots" Spencer clarified.

"He doesn't know who that is" Hanna pointed out.

"Does anybody?" Aria asked.

"I do" Daniella replied.

"She was born to be queen, but her cousin stole the throne" Spencer informed, "And then she was accused of treason and her family had her executed".

"Nice" Noel said, really not paying any attention to Spencer, he turned to Daniella, "One dance, my lady?".

"Oh uh, I don't--".

"Go" Spencer said, pushing Daniella towards Noel.

"Spence!" Daniella yelled, but before she could go back to her spot, Noel grabbed her hand and dragged her to the dance floor, "Noel!".

"Come on Dani" Noel said, spinning Daniella around, "One dance won't hurt you".

Daniella sighed, "Fine, but only one" she said.

"Only one" Noel assured, once again spinning Daniella but this time dipping her down, causing her to let out a surprised laugh, both of them unaware of the gaze of the oldest very jealous Dilaurentis, who was also invited to this party by Noel's older brother.

After dancing with Noel, Daniella left to go find her friends, leaving Noel alone, who then walked inside the house towards the kitchen, entering the kitchen, he saw Jason standing there, drinking a bottle of beer.

"Jason" Noel greeted.

Jason looked at Noel, "Noel" he greeted.

"Enjoying the party?" Noel asked.

"I've been to better ones" Jason simply said.

Noel let out a chuckle, "I don't doubt it, especially since I'm well aware of your partying habits".

Jason shrugged, "You and everyone in Rosewood".

"Yeap" Noel said, "Which is why I find very odd as to why Dani is with you".

Jason looked at Noel, not even surprise that Noel knew, he just simply chuckled, "Because she loves me Noel".

"Not for long" Noel said.

"What the hell are you on about?" Jason asked, suddenly angry, he couldn't tolerate it when people talked shit about his and Daniella's relationship.

"I mean, you and me both know, as soon as Alison find outs out about you and Dani, there's no saving this relationship" Noel taunted.

"Are you threatening me?" Jason asked.

Noel shrugged, "I just believe Dani could do so much better then you".

"Let me guess, she should be with someone like you instead?" Jason asked.

"I would treat her so much better then you ever could" Noel replied.

"Here's the thing Noel, I'm not scared of you, and I'm definitely not scared of Ali" Jason said, "Dani is mine, she has been mine since the moment I laid eyes on her, and I'm not going to let anyone take her from me, so go ahead tell Alison, I don't care, it will just mean me and Dani will stop hiding our love from everyone".

Jason turned to leave the kitchen, but Noel's words stopped him, "You'll screw up eventually Jason, and when you, I will be the one to mend Dani's heart".

Jason looked at Noel, "I can guarantee you one thing Noel, Dani will never love you as much as she loves me, not even if I break her heart".

After giving Noel one last glare, Jason left the kitchen, as soon as he existed the kitchen, he bumped into his girlfriend.

"Woah" Daniella said, grabbing the collar of Jason's shirt to stop herself from falling.

"Careful" Jason said, putting his hands on Daniella's waist.

Daniella smiled seeing her boyfriend, "Hey stranger".

Jason smiled seeing Daniella, "Hey" he greeted, his anger immediately forgotten.

Daniella looked at Jason and realised he wasn't wearing a costume, "You're not wearing a costume" she stated.

"But you are" Jason said, "And you look extremely hot in it".

Daniella gave Jason a small smile, "Thank you, it was a last minute pick".

"Yeah, I thought you weren't coming" Jason remembered.

Daniella sighed, "Ali might have blackmailed me, saying if I didn't come she would tell my mom about what we saw".

Jason shook his head, "I'm so sorry" he immediately apologised.

"Don't be" Daniella said quickly, "It's not your fault".

After making sure no one was looking at them, Jason leaned down and whispered into Daniella's ear, "Want to ditch this party and go back to my house?".

"I wish but I can't ditch my friends" Daniella said.

"Fine, don't ditch your friends" Jason said, "But come with me".

"Where?" Daniella asked confused, Jason didn't say anything just grabbed Daniella's hand and took her upstairs, "Jason, we aren't allowed upstairs".

"You aren't, I am" Jason informed, walking into a empty room.

"Who allowed you?" Daniella asked curiously.

"Eric" Jason replied, shutting the door behind him, after locking it, he grabbed Daniella by her arms and placed her against the door.

"Why?" Daniella asked, slightly confused.

"In case I wanted to spend the night with a special girl" Jason said, grabbing both of Daniella's wrists one of his hand and placing it on top of her head.

"And do you?" Daniella asked, a teasing smile on her face.

"I might" Jason teased, smashing his lips on to Daniella's.

"Jason, stop" Daniella laughed, as Jason once again unclipped her bra.

"Then stop getting dressed" Jason complained, putting his arm on Daniella's waist and pulling her back on the bed, he then hovered above her and started kissing down her neck.

"Jason, I have to go" Daniella whispered.

"No" Jason said, biting Daniella's shoulder and then kissing it.

"You're too needy tonight" Daniella teased.

Jason ignored Daniella and started kissing down Daniella's stomach.

"Okay" Daniella whispered, arching her back, as Jason went lower, "Five more minutes".

Thirty minutes later, Daniella rushed to meet up with her friends.

"There you are" Hanna said, finally seeing the oldest Montgomery, "Where have you been, we've been looking everywhere for you?".

"Sorry, I got lost in the woods" Daniella lied, fixing her dress.

"Lost in the woods, or in someone's eyes" Aria whispered in her sister's ear.

"Shut up" Daniella whispered back, lightly shoving Aria, making her laugh.

"Is Ali with you?" Emily asked Daniella.

Daniella shook her head, "No, she isn't with me, isn't she with you guys?".

"No, you both disappeared on us" Hanna replied.

"Okay" Spencer said, walking over to her friends, "I used to think that I was born in the wrong century but now that I've actually one to the bathroom in this thing".

"Hey, have you seen Ali?" Aria asked Spencer.

"Last I saw her she was at the bonfire" Spencer informed, looking around but finding no sign of the Dilaurentis girl.

"You don't think she'd bail on us, do you?" Emily asked.

"That's exactly what I think she did" Daniella replied, just as all their phone started beeping.

"That's weird" Hanna commented, seeing their phones go off at the same time.

"Oh, it's from Ali" Spencer realised.

"I'm in trouble, come alone" Aria read, immediately confusing all the other girls.

"What's this address again?" Daniella asked as the five friends walked in the woods towards the address Alison sent them.

"It's 313 Mockingbird" Spencer informed.

After walking a bit more, the girls finally came across the house, and to all their shock, it was the address of the creepy house they saw before.

"I am not going in there" an afraid Hanna said.

"No, this is some kind of joke, she's not in there" Spencer reasoned.

"What if it's not a joke?" Emily asked.

After exchanging a look between them, the reluctant girls walked into the house.

"Ali?" Emily called out as the girls entered the house.

"This isn't funny anymore, Ali" Aria said.

"Alison?!" Spencer yelled, but once again the girls got no response.

The girls gasped in fright when they felt someone walk behind them.

"It was just the wind" Spencer assured, "Come on".

The girls took small and steady steps further into the house, hearing the floor creaking they took the stairs to the second level, unaware that the masked person they saw outside Spencer's bedroom was also currently present in the house.

"Ali?" Emily called out, slowly opening the door to one of the upstairs bedroom, seeing a shadow of what looked like a man caused the girls to yell in fright but they took a breath of relief when they realised it was just a shadow of a suit.

The girls then proceeded to walk towards the next room, Emily tried to open the door of that room but the door was locked, so the girls walked further in, when they came across another door.

"You guys" Spencer pointed under the door where footsteps could be shown, she tried to open the door but the door wouldn't open, "It's locked".

"Ali?" Emily called out.

Suddenly the door opened and a panicked Alison came out, "Did you see him?" she asked, "Is he still here?".

"Who are you talking about Alison?" a confused Daniella asked as the other girls looked around in a panic.

"Come on" Alison said, letting the girls into the room, after shutting the door she turned to her friends, "I don't know who it is".

"Ali, what is going on?" a confused Spencer asked.

"He grabbed me at the party, okay" Alison explained, "I tried to scream, but he's got a knife".

"For real?" a shocked Emily asked.

"He said he brought me here to kill me" Alison informed.

"I'm calling 911" a panicked Hanna said, taking her phone out of her pocket.

"He locked me in a closet, and when he opened it I just freaked on him" Alison continued, "I've been hiding up here ever since".

"I'm not getting a signal" Hanna informed.

Emily peeped out keyhole, "There's nobody out there" she said.

"Ali" Aria said, "It's probably just somebody trying to scare you".

"Look, I'm telling you it's that guy that was watching us at Spencer's" Alison said, "He's wearing the same costume".

"No, we have to get out of here now!" Spencer stated.

"No!" Hanna yelled, "I'm not going anywhere until we know that freak's gone!".

"Look, okay, I called you from the hallway" Alison said, "I know I've got a signal there", Alison opened the door, she then looked at Emily, "Look the door behind me".

"Ali don't go" Daniella said, feeling afraid for her friend's life.

"Are you sure?" Emily asked, equally afraid.

"No, Ali, don't" Aria said, as Alison left the room.

"Don't open this door for anyone, but me" Alison told her friends, "Lock the door".

As soon as Alison shut the door, Emily locked it, for a moment nothing happened and then suddenly the girls heard Alison's scream.

"Help!" Alison yelled.

"Ali!" the girls yelled trying to reach her but failing as the door wouldn't open.

"It's jammed!" Spencer yelled, trying to get the door to open but failing, "You guys, it's jammed!".

"Help me!" Alison yelled.

Emily peeped through the hole to see Alison and the masked man fighting, the person tried to stab her but Alison kicked him in the knee and quickly ran away while her friends were left yelling her name.

"Emily, are you okay?" Spencer asked, as the girls one by one climbed down the open window of the locked room, "Let's go! You guys, please! Move!".

The five girls quickly rushed back into the house, hoping to get to their friend before it was too late, on their way, Emily grabbed a branch for protection.

"You guys, come on!" Spencer yelled as the girls entered the haunted house again.

"Ali?!" Emily called out.

"Ali, where are you?!" Daniella yelled,

The creaking of a rocking chair caught the five girls attention, "Alison" Spencer realised.

Alison looked at her friends, "Look at you five" she said, "You're scared to death, I totally got you, it was hoax, the zombie was Noel", a shocked Emily dropped the wood to the ground, "Happy Halloween", Alison licked the supposed blood on the knife, "Ketchup" she clarified, "Want some, Hanna?", but none of the girls said anything, they were too scared and too shocked, "Come on, you guys" Alison said, standing up and walking over to her friends, "It was funny".

"We're not laughing" Spencer said, none of the girls finding it funny.

"Well, you should be" Alison insisted, "You guys passed the test".

"What test?" a confused Aria asked.

"The way you guys came charging in here" Alison replied, "I know I can count on you now, if I really need you, you'll be there for me, let's go, we're missing a party".

Alison walked out the room and after exchanging a look between them, the other girls also followed.

"I feel like we came back to a different party" Emily said, looking around the Halloween party in uncertainty.

"I think before we saw Noel's teenage friends and now we're seeing Eric's older friends" Daniella said.

"Hey, what's your sister doing here?" Aria asked Spencer, her eyes landing on Melissa.

"Oh, Dani's right, these are Eric's friends" Spencer said.

"Make sense as to why Ali's brother is here" Hanna said, pointing towards Jason who was standing with Ian.

A small smile formed on Daniella's face seeing Jason, it was weird, one sibling seemed to make her life hell in her weird way, while the other made her the happiest she has ever been.

Daniella was broken out of her trance when Alison walked back to the group.

"Bitch" a person in the same costume as the person they saw outside Spencer's house said to Alison.

"Who is that?" a confused Alison asked as the person quickly ran away.

"Don't hate me, okay?" Noel said, walking over to Alison.

"Are you kidding?" Alison asked, "Okay, it was perfect".

"You're not mad?" a confused Noel asked.

"No!" Alison assured, "The way you shoved me against that wall? You even scared me".

"Uh, I'm not sure what you're talking about" an even more confused Noel said.

"You can stop pretending Noel, Alison already told us that it was you" Daniella said.

"If somebody messed with you guys, it wasn't me" Noel clarified, "My brother took the car for a beer run, I've been stuck here all night".

"If you're lying to me" Alison warned.

"I'm not" Noel promised, before walking leaving behind six very confused girls.

"If it wasn't you" Alison wondered, just as her phone beeped.
