08. Save The Date

Somehow, someway Spencer had managed to leave Garrett, she then drove her car and picked up the twins and Hanna, currently they were parked outside Emily's house, waiting for her to come after checking up on the tenants that now lived in her house.

"Wait, so it was just the two of you, sitting in Garrett's car?" a shocked Hanna asked, sitting in the backseat with Daniella.

"I didn't know where else to meet him" Spencer defended, "It wasn't like I could ask him that stuff down at the precinct".

"And how exactly did you get away from Garrett?" a curious Daniella asked.

"When you sent me that text, I told him it was from my mom" Spencer informed, "She wanted me home ASAP, am I still shaking?", Spencer looked down at her shaking hands, "I'm still shaking".

"Yeah, we're all shaking, can you turn on the heat?" Hanna asked, "You could make a slushy back her".

"Agreed" Daniella said, rubbing her hands up and down her arms.

"Guys, why would Jenna give him that lantern?" a confused Aria asked.

"You don't know that she gave it to him" Hanna replied.

"What do you think, he bought it at the blind artists crafts fair?" Spencer asked, "Course she gave it to him, the question is, when did they become buddies? And why?".

"Spencer, they grew up across the street from each other" Hanna reminded, "His parents still live in that house, maybe he's just bringing raw meat to Jenna's cat".

"Gross" Daniella commented.

"Toby lives there, too, and they don't have a cat" Spencer retorted.

"Then maybe he was bringing over raw meat for Jenna" Hanna suggested.

"What?" Daniella asked, "His raw meat?".

"Dani" Aria scolded.

"What?" Daniella asked, "I mean come on, it didn't cross any of your minds that maybe they could be a thing? Maybe that's why Jenna gave her pot to him".

Aria shook her head at her sister, while Spencer and Hanna thought about Daniella's words.

Hearing a door close, turned Aria's attention towards the Field's old house, "Here comes Em" she informed, causing Daniella to scoot into the middle, making space for Emily to sit.

"Who's living in her house now?" Spencer asked.

"Some losers who can't figure out the alarm system" Hanna replied, "They've tripped it like three times, and the security company keeps calling her mom in Texas".

"Everything okay?" Spencer asked, as the car door opened and Emily sat in.

"Yeah, it's fine" Emily assured, "It's just so weird to walk in there and see other people's stuff".

"Hey, won't you tell them to lay off the alarm for a couple of days?" Hanna asked.

"I'm guessing they don't feel safe" Emily replied.

"Well, they will now" Hanna said, "I'm sure Aria and Dani's parents are gonna have Mike on lockdown till he turns eighteen".

"Are you serious right now?" Daniella asked, glaring at her friend.

"What?" Hanna asked, "Okay, I'm not judging, I'm just guessing that your little brother will find another hobby besides breaking and entering".

"Still talking" Spencer told Hanna, indicating for her to shut up after seeing Aria and Daniella's annoyed looks.

"You are right, you shouldn't judge Mike especially since you and him seem to have similar habits" Daniella taunted.

"Why are you getting mad at me?" Hanna asked confused.

"Because Hanna, there is a time and place for your comments, most times I appericate them but not tonight, okay?" Daniella snapped, "It's been a long night and you're not helping".

Aria sighed, "Guys, look, we don't know what's going on with our little brother" she said, "If we knew, you would know".

Suddenly, Spencer's eyes landed on the car that pulled up infront of them, "Emily?" she called out, "Isn't that Garrett's car?".

"I think it is" Emily replied.

"Where the hell is he going?" Daniella asked confused.

"To his parents, I guess" Emily replied.

The girls watched as Garrett got out of his car, they quickly ducked down making sure he doesn't see them, they then watched as instead of going into his parents house, he walked towards the Cavanaugh's house.

"Oh my god, he's going into Jenna's house" a shocked Aria realised.

"Is Toby home?" Emily asked Spencer.

"No, he went to go get his parents from the airport and I thought he said Jenna went with him" Spencer informed, as the girls watched Garrett climb the stairs of Jenna's house.

"He's going inside" Emily pointed out, "He just walked in".

The five girls quickly got out of the car and walked towards the Cavanaugh's house.

"Can you walk any softer?" Spencer asked Hanna, whose heels were making a loud noise.

"Oh please, Jenna can't hear us, she's blind" Hanna said, making the other four girls look at her in disbelief.

"You--".

"You know what I mean" Hanna told Spencer.

The five girls peeked into a window of the Cavanaugh house, the gasped in shock when the lights suddenly turned on and they saw Jenna standing there, they watched as she took off her glasses and then slid her robe off of her body, leaving her standing their in her black lace lingerie, the same lingerie the girls had seen her buy, they then watched as Garrett came behind Jenna, he turned her to face him and then they started kissing.

"I called it!" Daniella whisper yelled.

Daniella sat in the Grille, looking down at her sketchbook, a pencil in hand but for some reason, she couldn't sketch anything.

"Daniella Montgomery sitting with a blank page, that's a first".

Daniella looked up and immediately a smile formed on her face, "Jason" she whispered.

"May I?" Jason asked, gesturing to the seat infront of Daniella.

"Please, it's all yours" Daniella replied.

Jason sat down and looked at Daniella, "So, what's up with the blank page?".

Daniella sighed, "I think I'm having an artists block" she admitted.

"Artists block?" Jason asked confused.

Daniella nodded, "Ever since that break in my house, where the intruder burned some of my sketches, I can't seem to draw anything".

"You're scared" Jason realised.

Daniella looked at Jason, not surprised that he figured it out, "I don't want to get back into drawing and then have my sketches that mean a lot to me, burn infront of my eyes".

"The sketches that the intruder burned, what were they of?" Jason asked curiously.

Daniella looked into Jason's eyes, "You" she whispered after a moment.

"What?" Jason asked, not sure if he heard Daniella correctly.

"The sketches were of you" Daniella admitted, looking down, too embarrassed to look at Jason, "In the past year, sketching you made me feel like I was close to you".

"I felt the same way with your photos" Jason admitted, letting Daniella know she had nothing to be embarrassed about.

Daniella looked at Jason in slight shock, "You still have the photos?".

Jason nodded, "I would never get rid of those photos".

Daniella gave Jason a small smile, "I felt the same way about your sketches, look how that turned out".

"Let me help you then" Jason said.

Daniella looked at Jason in confusion, "You help me?".

Jason nodded, "Look, it's because of the sketches of me that you're in a artists block, so shouldn't it be me who gets you out of it?" he asked.

"And how are you going to do that?" Daniella asked curiously.

Jason shrugged, "I have no idea" he replied, making Daniella chuckle, "But just tell me a time and place and I promise I'll be there to help you".

"I'm going to remember that, Dilaurentis" Daniella said.

"I sure hope so you do, Montgomery" Jason said, "So, tea?".

Daniella nodded, "Yes, please" she replied.

Jason nodded, he then stood up and went to order his coffee and Daniella's tea, leaving behind a smiling Daniella, both unaware of the gaze of an extremely angry person on them.

"Hey, we are so sorry we're late" Daniella apologised, as her and Aria entered the hospital room in which Emily was admitted in after experiencing horrible pain in her stomach at school, "We were stuck at family court in our living room".

"Mike on trial?" Hanna asked, as Daniella handed Spencer the coffee she got her.

"Yeah, but the defendant didn't even show up" Aria informed, sitting on the other side of Emily's bed while Daniella stood next to Spencer, Aria then turned to Emily and held out a coffee cup, "I got your fav".

"Oh, she can't drink coffee" Spencer informed.

"Yeah, she's got a hole in her stomach" Hanna added.

Spencer shood her head at Hanna and then stood up, "I'll trade it in for an herbal tea" she told an clearly upset Emily, "Unless you want us all here when your dad gets back".

"She's not telling her dad" Hanna protested, "If he finds out that the letter is fake he's gonna move her to Texas".

"If she doesn't tell him, she's not gonna get any better" Spencer retorted.

"She can decide what she wants to do when she's out of the hospital" Daniella interrupted her two friends, "Just give her a break you guys, she doesn't need to make a decision right now".

"She already has" Emily said, "I'm telling him the truth".

After receiving a text from Spencer, Daniella took the hospital lift up to where the morgue was, what she was doing here, she had no idea, all she knew was that Spencer wanted her to meet her here because she had a plan, what plan, she once again had no idea, but knowing her and Spencer's luck, Daniella had a feeling whatever this plan was, it was going to end up causing them a lot of trouble.

Daniella took a deep breath and stepped out of the lift, she slowly looked around to find any sign of her best friend, but she was no where to be seen, that was until the laundry door opened.

"Psst, hey, in here" Spencer called out from the laundry.

"Why the hell are you in a nurse costume?" an extremely confused Daniella asked, "Oh, please don't tell me I'm going to have to wear one too".

"Yeap, you do" Spencer said, holding Daniella's nurse costume in her hand.

"No, I'm not wearing that" Daniella protested, looking at the costume in disgust, "Do you even realise how many people might have worn that? I don't want other peoples diseases, Spence".

"You'll be fine, Dani" Spencer said, grabbing Daniella's hand and dragging her into the laundry room before the two nurses who were walking by could see them.

After much arguing back and forth with Spencer, Daniella finally decided to wear the nurses costume, however before they could go down to the morgue, both the friends got a frantic SOS message from Emily, who revealed to them that the reason she is in the hospital is because A has been injecting steroids into her pain cream.

"A injected steroids into your pain cream?" a shocked Daniella asked, "Okay, how the hell did this bitch get into our medicine cabinets?".

"How long has this been in your system?" Spencer asked curiously.

"Are your organs fine?" a concerned Daniella asked.

"Forget my organs!" a panicked Emily snapped, "It's on my medical chart! It's ruined my life! I can never swim again!".

"Emily, medical records are private--".

"Not from your parents!" Emily interrupted Spencer.

"Do you have any idea on what you're going to tell your dad?" Daniella asked.

"I'm gonna tell him to get me out of here" Emily replied, "Take me to Texas, I'm done, it can't get any worse than this".

"Emily, remember, A tried to plow down Hanna with a car, it even tried to plow down Dani" Spencer reminded, making Daniella elbow her, telling her that wasn't the right thing to say right now.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" an annoyed Emily asked.

"I'm just saying that A tried to take two of us down and it didn't work" Spencer clarified.

"Spencer, A is taking us down, one at a time" Emily snapped, "It already targeted me, Hanna and Dani, maybe Aria's next".

"Okay, please let's not go there" Daniella said, just the thought of her sister getting hurt making her shudder.

"Stop it!" Spencer snapped, "We're not giving in to this freak! Look, we are this close to finding out what happened to Alison, and if A is the one that killed her".

"And if A was the one who killed Ian" Daniella added.

"Yeah, and then A is gonna be the one to leave Rosewood, not us" Spencer stated.

The knock on the hospital door caught the attention of the three girls, just as Emily's dad entered the room, Daniella and Spencer quickly hid Emily's pain cream in her food, not wanting her dad to see A's message.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt" Wayne Fields said.

"No worries" Spencer assured, "Uh, we actually have to get back to work".

"When did you two start volunteering for the hospital?" a curious Wayne asked Daniella and Spencer.

"Since today" Daniella lied, "Um, we're currently on hour one, we just quickly came by to check on Em first, we'll leave you two alone now".

"Yeah, see you later" Spencer said, as her and Daniella dragged the food cart out of the room, leaving the father daughter duo to themselves.

"That's it" Spencer pointed towards the morgue door.

Daniella and Spencer looked around and after making sure no one was around them, the two best friends slowly opened the doors of the morgue and entered the room.

"God, it is so cold" Daniella complained, running her hands up and down her arms in an attempt to warm herself up.

"Yeah, be thankful for that" Spencer said, walking over to the files cabinet, "Okay, there's gotta be some kind of system".

"That one has autopsies dating back to 2007" Daniella said, walking over to Spencer and pointing towards a cabinet.

Spencer nodded and opened the cabinet and started going through the files, "Okay D, Dehaven, Delmore, Dilaurentis Alison", Spencer took Alison's autopsy file out.

"Are you sure we're ready to find out whatever's in this?" a worried Daniella asked.

"We have to know the truth, Dani" Spencer replied.

"I know, but at what cost?" Daniella asked, a question Spencer didn't have the answer to.

"There's so much in here that I don't understand" Spencer said, as the duo went through Alison's file.

"That's concerning" Daniella said, turning the page, "Oh here, it's the summary page, maybe it will summaries everything for us, the impact on the posterior of the victim's cranium--".

"The back of her head" Spencer informed.

"I know what that is Spence, I'm not an idiot" Daniella said, making Spencer give her an apologetic look, Daniella then went back to reading, "Indicates that she was facing away from the assailant".

"They got her from behind, she was ambushed" Spencer realised.

"What if she was running away?" Daniella suggested.

"Trying to escape?" Spencer asked, Daniella nodded, Spencer then started reading, "The cranium was displaced inward upon impact".

Daniella grabbed the x-ray and looked it, "Whoever attacked Ali, hit her so hard that they dented her skull".

"And the weapon was most likely a curved, blunt edge" Spencer continued reading.

Daniella looked at Spencer, "Like the field hockey stick Toby found in your backyard" she said.

"Yeah, like the one that Ali borrowed from me" Spencer reminded, "The one that Jason most likely buried in my backyard".

"Yeah the same hockey stick your dad burned" Daniella snapped, "Now stop blaming Jason and keep reading before I leave".

Spencer sighed but nonetheless kept reading, something in the paragraph shocked her, causing her to let out a gasp.

"What?" Daniella asked, not reading what Spencer had just read, "What did you just read?".

"There was dirt in her lungs" Spencer informed.

Daniella looked at Spencer in shock, "That would mean when Ali was buried she was still breathing" she realised.

"It would mean that the blow to her head isn't what killed her" Spencer added.

"She died because she was buried alive" Daniella concluded.

"Where's Dani?" a confused Emily asked, as Spencer handed Alison's autopsy file to her.

"She got mad at me so she left" Spencer informed.

"Because of Jason?" Emily asked.

"Yeap" Spencer replied, she pointed to a few lines on the page, "Displaced cranium, curved blunt weapon, that's a hockey stick Em, Dani doesn't want to hear this, but Jason is looking worse and worse".

"Dani's never going to believe us" Emily said.

"Well she has to" Spencer snapped, "Otherwise she's going to end up just like Alison".

"Don't say that" Emily scolded.

"Em, if Jason can kill his own sister, then what's stopping him from killing Dani?" Spencer asked.

Emily sighed, she didn't have an answer to Spencer's question, but just like her, she was concerned when it came to Jason's intentions regarding Daniella.

'A' Ending

In the morgue, after the janitor took out the trash, one of the bodies laying on the steel table, suddenly sat up, indicating that A was in the room when Spencer and Daniella were.
