08. Please, Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone

"I was afraid she wouldn't get it done in time for the memorial" Aria said, as her, Daniella and Spencer pushed a huge wooden box into the Hasting's living room.

"And this was someone from your guys mom's gallery?" Hanna asked, sitting on the couch.

"Yeap" Daniella replied.

"Where is your mom?" Emily asked curiously.

"There's an apartment above the gallery so she's staying there, for now" Aria replied.

"Kind of weird, isn't it?" Hanna asked, "Your mom moving out".

"Yeah, like my dad should have left" Aria snapped, "That's what you'd expect".

"Aria" Daniella warned, "She's not wrong, dad should have been the who moved out, not mom, he was the one who cheated, it's because of him our family is in this mess".

"Are you ever going to forgive him?" Aria asked.

"No" Daniella replied.

"I don't get it, if you can forgive Jason, why can't you forgive dad?" Aria snapped, in her frustration not realising what she had blurted out, but the other girls had, causing them to look at the two sisters in confusion.

"Jason?" Spencer asked, looking between the two sisters in suspicion, "As in Ali's brother, Jason?".

Aria, finally realising what she said, looking at her friends wide eyed, she then looked at twin sister, who was glaring at her, "Dani I--".

"Don't" Daniella interrupted, "Don't say anything else, you've said enough, Aria".

"What's going on here?" Emily asked confused.

"Dani, what did you forgive Jason for?" Spencer asked curiously.

"It's doesn't matter, Spence, whatever it was, it's old news now" Daniella replied, not wanting to tell everyone about her and Jason, Daniella then turned to her sister, who was giving her an apologetic look, "And just so you know Aria, I haven't forgiven Jason either".

"You're hiding something" Spencer said, while Hanna looked at Daniella, wondering if the Montgomery girl was ever going to come clean about her and Jason.

"Spence, please" Daniella pleaded, "Leave it, I don't want to talk about Jason right now".

"So there is something to talk about?" Spencer asked, "Come on Dani, we're your best friends, tell us".

"That's exactly why I can't tell you guys!" Daniella snapped.

"What do you mean?" Emily asked confused.

"If I tell you about me and Jason, then I'm scared you guys are going to look at me differently" Daniella replied, slumping on the couch.

"Dani, we would never do that" Hanna said, "We're your best friends, we would never judge you".

"Dani, I think it's time you tell them" Aria said, "It's time they know, they can help you face Jason when he comes to Ali's memorial".

Daniella looked at Aria in shock, "He's coming?" she asked.

"It's his sister's memorial" Spencer reminded, "Of course, he's coming".

Daniella sighed, "If I tell you guys about me and Jason, promise not to look at me differently?".

"We promise" Hanna assured, ever since A had sent her the photo of Jason and Daniella, she has been dying to know the story of Jason and Daniella.

"You never judge us, so how can we judge you?" Emily said, sitting next to the overwhelmed Montgomery girl.

"Okay" Daniella said, after a moment of silence, "But while I'm telling the story, don't interrupt me, okay?".

"Okay" Spencer said, sitting on the other side of Daniella, while Hanna and Aria sat infront of her.

"The moment Ali introduced me to Jason, I developed a huge crush on him" Daniella admitted, "But I never told anyone but Aria about it, because I knew if somehow Ali found out about me crushing on her brother, she would kill me, so I kept my feelings to myself and just admired Jason from far, until one night Ali forced me to attend a college party with her, you guys had made an excuse to not to attend but I ran out of excuses so I had to go with her, as soon as we reached Ali ditched me, and I had no idea where to go so I just decided to hang out in the kitchen, it was the less crowded area, while I was there a drunk guy tried to force me to dance him, I kept saying no but he wouldn't listen, when suddenly Jason came and saved me from the guy, he ended up punching him and taking me away, that night, I gave into my feelings, and me and Jason ended up sleeping together, starting our one year long secret relationship".

"One year?" Emily asked shocked, "You kept your relationship a secret for a year?".

Daniella nodded, "We didn't want Ali to find out" she replied, "So I told no one but Aria".

"Why did you guys break up?" Hanna asked curiously.

"We broke up the night Ali disappeared" Daniella revealed, "Before coming to the barn, I visited him after I received a text from saying he needed to talk to me about something important, when I got there, he admitted to me that while he was drunk, he ended up--".

"He ended up what, Dani?" Spencer asked, frowning seeing tears welling in her best friend's eyes.

"He ended up cheating on me" Daniella whispered, shocking her friends.

"Oh my god" Emily whispered, grabbing Daniella's hand in reassurance.

"That's why that night you were so out of it" Spencer recalled.

"I loved him so much, but turns out I wasn't enough for him" Daniella cried.

"Hey!" Hanna said, "None of that, you are an amazing person Daniella Montgomery, and it's his lose, don't blame yourself".

"Hanna's right" Aria said, "He doesn't deserve a girl like you".

"You guys aren't mad at me?" Daniella asked, looking at her friends.

"Of course not" Emily replied.

"I'm hurt you hid this for so long, but I'm not mad" Spencer assured.

"I didn't know how to tell you guys I was cheated on" Daniella whispered.

"Well, Jason is in the past now Dani, screw him, and just focus on Noel" Hanna said, "Who clearly deserves you more then Jason does".

Daniella gave her friends a small smile, "I love you guys".

"And we love you" Spencer said, hugging her best friend, "Now stop wasting your tears for someone who doesn't deserve it and get up and help us open the statue for Ali's memorial".

"Gladly" Daniella said, wiping her tears and standing up, glad to finally tell her best friends her biggest secret.

"Did anyone call Shelly Leonard?" Emily asked, handing Daniella a screwdriver.

"Done, and I told her if she plays anything depressing I will kick in her cello" Spencer replied, making the rest of the girls chuckle.

"Oh, what about the program?" Aria asked.

"Almost done, but we should finish it before who we shall not name gets here" Spencer replied, not wanting to hurt Daniella anymore then she was.

Daniella gave Spencer a small smile, "You can say his name, Spencer" she assured, "Speaking of Jason, when exactly is he getting here?".

"Tonight" Spencer replied, "And he wants to see us in the morning".

"Morning?" Daniella asked shocked, she wasn't sure if she was ready to meet Jason yet.

"Yeah" Spencer replied, "But don't worry Dani, we will all make sure he stays away from you".

"Or maybe it's finally time you guys talk" Aria suggested.

"What?" Daniella asked.

"Dani, I've seen you for the past year cry over this guy" Aria replied, "I know you're trying to move on with Noel, but I don't think you can fully move on till you get closure, maybe this memorial will not help you say goodbye to Alison but also your old relationship with Jason".

"I agree with Aria" Emily said, "You need closure to move on".

"I guess we'll see what I do when he arrives" Daniella said, "Right now, can we just open this thing".

The other girls nodded and together the five girls removed the wooden lid from the crate and admired the small statues of the six girls.

"Wow" Hanna whispered.

"It's beautiful" Aria praised.

"Pedestal's already out there, next to the bench" Spencer informed, "This goes up Friday morning".

"Do you think Jason will like it?" Emily asked.

"He will" Daniella whispered, "He always admired good art".

"You know, years from now, people are gonna see this memorial, and that's all they'll ever know about Ali" Aria said, "She'll be the girl that they dedicated the bench to and we'll all be gone, but Ali will still be remembered".

"Exactly that way she would have liked it" Daniella added.

"That's immortality my darlings" Spencer said, remembering what Alison used to say.

Alison, Spencer, Aria, Daniella, Hanna and Emily were at another one of Noel Khan's party, this time by a lake, which is why all six girls were currently relaxing in their swimsuits.

"I wish we could just choose the age that we wanted to be and just stay there" Aria said.

"That sounds boring" Daniella said, laying next Spencer and drawing in her sketch book.

"The only way to do that is to die young" Alison told Aria, "Leave a beautiful corpse".

"Don't joke" Emily said, not liking Alison talking about death.

"It's not a joke" Alison said, "Oh, come on, haven't you guys ever thought about how deliciously tragic it would be to die in some incredibly mysterious way? That would be superior".

"I haven't" Daniella replied, her eyes glued to her sketchbook, "I want to live, I want to grow and experience life to it's fullest, I definitely don't want to die young".

"Same" Spencer said, agreeing with the oldest Montgomery, she then turned to Alison, "Is that really how you want to go, Alison?".

Alison shrugged, "Not just yet" she replied.

"Don't talk like that" Hanna scolded.

"It's gruesome" Aria added.

"It's not gruesome" Alison said, "It's immortality, my darlings".

"Where did she get that from?" Aria asked, "A movie?".

"Ali was a movie" Spencer replied.

"A beautiful yet a very complicated movie" Daniella added.

Next morning, Daniella ended up sleeping in, and by the time she woke up, she realised her sister had already left for the Hastings manor for their meeting with Jason, so after quickly getting ready, Daniella also arrived at the Hastings house.

"Hey, I am so--", Daniella stopped talking, when as soon as she entered the Hastings kitchen, her eyes came in contact with the man she loved so much that at times their love caused her more pain then happiness.

"Dani" Jason whispered, a small smile on his face, if he was to be honest, he was fully prepared for Daniella to avoid him while he was here, as much as Jason wanted to see her, talk to her, he was prepared to not meeting the Montgomery girl, which is why seeing her infront of him right now, was extra shocking to him.

"Jason" Daniella greeted, "I'm sorry I'm late, I kind of slept in"

"It's all good" Jason assured, "You didn't miss much, I was just saying you've done some lovely work on the memorial, I might have done one or two things differently but we can adjust that along the way".

Daniella frowned hearing Jason, for some reason those words didn't sound like his, hell the man standing infront of her seemed like a complete stranger to her.

"Since when do you wear suits?" Daniella asked Jason, once those words were out of her mouth, she looked at Jason wide eyed, she hadn't meant to say that out loud, and Jason knew that.

"Since now, Dani" Jason replied, giving Daniella a small smile, letting her know he wasn't offended by her question.

"My name is Daniella" Daniella said, sitting next to Spencer, "Only the people close to me call me Dani".

"Right, I'm sorry" Jason apologised, knowing he deserved Daniella's anger, "Anyways, here's a copy of the program for the dedication".

"Oh, I e-mailed you the program that we worked up" Spencer said, after making sure Daniella was okay.

"Right, I saw the draft" Jason said, "This just fine-tunes it, uh, let's see, uh, if Shelly Leonard's gonna play something  I don't think we can give her more then three minutes, I remember she's somewhat of a showboat with that cello, then, uh, oh", Jason's eyes landed on a photo of his sister on the counter, "Is this the picture for the program?".

"Yes, it's everybody's favorite" Emily replied.

Jason nodded and looked down at the photo, a fond expression on his face, "It's the one I would have picked" he said, "I thought I was gonna be able to get my whole family out here but you know, at the last minute, my mom, um", Jason let out a chuckle, "It's crazy talking about this, isn't it? When I think about her, I think about you, the six of you, in her bedroom, laughing, keeping secrets".

"She wasn't the only DiLaurentis with secrets" Daniella whispered, looking everywhere but at Jason.

"We both know what damage my secrets ended up causing" Jason said, causing Daniella to finally look up at him.

The other girls looked between Jason and Daniella, all four of them could see the longing and love in each of their eyes, it made them all realise that even after a year apart, Jason and Daniella couldn't move on from each other.

"Anyways" Jason said, looking away from Daniella, knowing if he looked any longer he won't be able to stop himself from running to her, "I want each of you to speak, I'd rather hear from you than Mrs. Slocomb from the PTA".

"The PTA was a lot of help" Spencer defended.

"What about the rain?" Jason asked, ignoring Spencer's words, agitating the Hastings girl.

"The rain?" Spencer asked confused.

"Forty percent chance before the weekend" Jason informed.

"Oh, um, they said that we can use the school's multipurpose room if we have to move the ceremony inside" Spencer said.

"Great" Jason said, "People think this dedication is about closure, there won't be closure until they find out who did this to Alison, the cops in this town have been jerking my family around for more than a year, no more of that, I'm here to get some action and this memorial is gonna help me get it, oh, and I'm adding one speaker to the program".

"Jenna Marshall?" Emily asked, shocked seeing the name Jason wrote down.

"Wait, you want Jenna to speak at the dedication?" Hanna asked.

"Why are you doing this?" Daniella asked, glaring at the oldest Dilaurentis, knowing fully well that Jason knew about the past the girls and Jenna shared.

"She asked me if she could" Jason replied.

"And you said yes?!" Daniella asked shocked, "Why?".

"I won't let her say something she shouldn't" Jason assured Daniella, letting her know that he won't let Jenna tell the world the truth about her accident.

"You won't be able to stop her Jason" Daniella retorted.

"Trust me, Daniella, Jenna just wants to say a few words about Alison" Jason said.

"Trust you?" Daniella asked, "Yeah cause cause trusting you has been such a great thing in the past, right?".

Before Jason could say anything else, Spencer spoke, not wanting things between Jason and Daniella to escalate, "It just didn't occur to us that Alison and Jenna were that close".

"Yeah, I didn't know either" Jason said, "Jenna called, and said my sister was a lot of help to her after her accident", Daniella scoffed, both her and Jason knew that was a lie, "Well, concentrate on what you're gonna say, leave the rest of it to me, now, I'm going to have a talk with Detective Wilden and find out why they haven't located Toby yet".

"Did we just get fired?!" Hanna asked, Jason left the room, with Spencer walking him out.

"Shh!" Aria said, "Keep it down!".

"Why is he talking to Jenna?" Emily asked.

"That's not the question you should be asking, Em" Daniella said, "You should be asking why the hell is Jenna talking to him?".

"What does she have to say?" Emily wondered.

"This is turning into a nightmare" Aria said, just as Spencer walked back after letting Jason out.

"What else did he say?" Hanna asked Spencer.

"Nothing" Spencer replied, "He just kept smiling like he was running for office".

"Spence, why does Jenna want to speak at the dedication?" Aria asked.

"Why does Jason want her there?" Hanna asked, "I mean, he clearly know they weren't friends".

"That's not all he knows" Daniella whispered, which luckily none of her friends heard.

"We can't let Jenna speak" Emily stated.

"Well, how are we gonna stop her without looking like bitches?" Aria asked.

"Maybe we don't stop her" Daniella replied.

"Excuse me?" Hanna asked.

"Look, Jason said he won't let her say anything she shouldn't" Daniella reminded.

"And you trust him?" Spencer asked.

Daniella hesitated for a moment, "When it comes to this, then yeah" she finally replied.

"You know what? Spencer, Dani, you two need to stay on top of him" Hanna said, "Find out what's going on?".

"Why us?" Daniella asked confused.

"Because Spencer's the big organizer" Aria replied, "She's got the laptop of all knowledge and he's gonna need some of that".

"And Dani, the way Jason was looking at you, it was clear to all of us he still has feelings for you" Hanna revealed, making Daniella look at her in shock, "Maybe you could use that to your advantage and somehow convince him to not let Jenna speak".

"He's never going to listen to me" Daniella argued.

"You have to try" Hanna argued back.

"Jenna could get up there, she could tell about the fire and Toby, she could tell about everything" Emily said.

Daniella sighed, after exchanging a look with Spencer, she reluctantly nodded.

"Band of horses?" Daniella asked shocked, standing by Noel's locker, "You got tickets for band of horses?".

"Yeap" Noel replied, "And they're VIP".

"And you're taking me?" Daniella asked.

"Yeah, it's going to be me, you, Sean and Hanna" Noel replied, "Please tell me you'll come?".

"Of course, I'll come" Daniella replied, "I could really use with a distraction".

"Because of your parents?" Noel asked.

"Yeah" Daniella lied, truth was she needed a distraction from constantly thinking about Jason, but she couldn't exactly tell Noel that.

"Don't worry Montgomery, I promise to give you the best night of your life" Noel said.

"I'll be holding you on to that, Khan" Daniella said.

"Alright, I have practice now, see you after?" Noel asked.

"Definitely" Daniella replied.

"Bye" Noel said, giving Daniella a quick kiss on the cheek, making her eyes go wide.

"Noel!" Daniella yelled in shocked.

"Bye Dani!" Noel yelled, running away from an amused Daniella.

Daniella shook her head, but nonetheless a small smile formed on her face, "Idiot" she whispered.

"Oh my god" Hanna said, looking towards Noel Khan and the girl he was currently putting sunscreen on, "Dani, Noel is totally trying to make you jealous".

"Huh?" Daniella asked, not really listening to Hanna's words, instead looking on the other side of the party where she saw Jason standing with his friends, having been invited to this party by Eric Khan, Noel's older brother.

"God Dani, you are so oblivious" Spencer teased.

"Am not" Daniella defended.

"Are to" Emily said.

"What exactly am I oblivious to?" Daniella asked.

"About Noel Khan wanting to get into your pants" Alison replied, shocking Daniella.

"Excuse me?" Daniella asked.

"Oh, come on, Dani" Alison said, "Since the moment you've gotten here Noel has been trying to getting your attention but you have been too busy drawing in your stupid sketch book to notice, so now it looks like he is trying to make you jealous by getting closer to someone else".

"Yeah, even though he's with the other girl, his eyes are only looking at you, Dani" Emily said.

Daniella finally looked towards Noel, only to see him already looking at her, "He knows I'm not interested in him" she said.

"Then who are you interested in?" Spencer asked.

Daniella looked towards the guy she was interested in, and to her shock, he was standing much closer then before, and the way he was glaring at Noel, made Daniella realise Jason had heard everything.

Watching Jason walk away in anger, Daniella knew she had to go behind him or he will end up doing something he will regret in his anger.

"I need to go use the bathroom" Daniella said, suddenly standing up.

"Hurry back" Alison said, knowing all to well about Daniella's hobby of walking around aimlessly.

"I'll try my best" Daniella said, running in the direction she had seen Jason leave in, not seeing the frown on Noel's face seeing Daniella run after the oldest Dilaurentis.

"So, Aria" Alison started, "Aren't you jealous seeing the guy you crush on have a thing for your sister?".

"Alison" Spencer warned, knowing that the Dilaurentis girl was trying to create trouble between the Montgomery twins.

"What?" Alison asked, "It's just a question".

"I'm not jealous" Aria replied truthfully.

"Really?" Hanna asked.

Aria nodded, "Dani would never go for Noel" she replied.

"And how are so sure about that?" Alison asked.

"Because she's my sister, Alison" Aria replied, "No one knows her better then me".

Aria knew the reason as to why Daniella would never go for Noel was because she was madly in love with Alison's older brother, but she wasn't going to tell that to any of the girls, especially not Alison.

Daniella walked into the woods and started looking around for her boyfriend, she frowned when she saw no sign of him anywhere.

"Come on, Jason" Daniella whispered, trying to make sure she doesn't get scratched by the shrubs around her.

As Daniella was walking, a hand suddenly clasped around her wrist and she was pulled against a hard chest.

"Jason!" Daniella breathed a sigh of relief seeing her boyfriend pull her and not a random drunk high school student.

Jason didn't say anything to Daniella, he just cupped her face in his hands and placed his lips on to hers.

"Mine" Jason whispered against Daniella's lips, slowly moving Daniella back, towards a tree.

"I don't like him like that" Daniella assured.

"Good" Jason said, as Daniella's back touched the tree, "Stay away from him Dani, I don't like the way he looks at you".

"Who cares how he looks at me?" Daniella asked, "I only have eyes for you".

"I care" Jason replied, kissing down Daniella's neck, "I don't like to share what's mine".

"You don't have to share" Daniella whispered, hissing in pain as Jason lightly bit into her neck, most likely leaving behind a mark Daniella is going to have to hide later on.

"I know" Jason said, kissing the place he bit.

"I really should go now" Daniella whispered, though she made no effort in separating herself from Jason.

"No" Jason said, as his hand travelled on Daniella's back, playing with the strings of her bikini top.

"Jason" Daniella warned, knowing what the oldest Dilaurentis was doing.

"Dani" Jason teased, kissing the oldest Montgomery's nose.

"Someone's going to see us" Daniella said.

"No one is going to come here" Jason assured.

"And how do you know that?" Daniella asked.

"I just do" Jason replied simply.

Before Daniella could ask anymore question, Jason had sealed her lips with his.

Jason, Spencer, Emily and Daniella walked in the empty school hallway after talking with the Principal.

"Well, that was painless" Jason said.

"Not for Principal Hartman" Spencer commented.

"He means well, but he needs to know who's in charge" Jason said.

"You sound like your dad" Daniella snapped, having enough of Jason's attitude.

Jason looked at Daniella, slightly shocked, "Excuse me?" he asked.

"Ever since you've come, you haven't been acting like yourself, and all day I've been trying to figure out who you're acting like, and I've finally figured it out, you're acting like your dad" Daniella replied, shocking her friends, who didn't except the Montgomery girl to call Jason out like this.

"You've only known the drunk and high me, Dani" Jason defended, "Ever thought maybe this is the real me?".

"I knew the real Jason" Daniella argued back, "And this person standing infront of me, isn't him".

"Okay, what is your problem?" Jason snapped.

"There's no problem" Emily quickly said, not allowing Daniella to speak, "You're Alison's brother, you should have the final say".

"No" Daniella snapped, "There is a problem, Em, he's acting like he's the only one dealing with Ali's death, she was our best friend, Jason, we are also grieving".

"See, there's that closed door again" Jason taunted, making Daniella glare at him, "The secrets of the girls cuddled up in Alison's bedroom, do you think that means you knew her better than I did?".

"No, it just means we knew her in a different way" Emily defended, as Jason and Daniella glared at each other.

Before anyone could say anything, Spencer's eyes landed behind Jason, where she saw Wilden walking up to a locker.

"What are they doing?" A confused Spencer asked, breaking Jason and Daniella's glaring competition, and causing them to look at Wilden in equal confusion.

"That's Toby's locker" Emily informed.

Daniella looked at the oldest Dilaurentis, and the expression on his face let her know he was pissed,  "Jason" she warned, grabbing Jason's hand before he could walk over to Wilden, "You getting angry at him isn't going to make him work faster".

Jason looked at Daniella, then at her hand that was holding his, following Jason's gaze, Daniella realised what she was doing, causing her to quickly remove her hand from Jason's, causing Jason to frown, he had missed her touch, and he didn't realise how much he needed it till she touched him again.

"He needs a push Dani" Jason said, before the awkwardness took over, "And that's exactly what I'm going to give him", before Daniella could stop him, Jason had walked over to Wilden, "Detective Wilden" he greeted.

"Oh, you'll find this interesting" Wilden said, going through Toby's locker, "We're having a look in Toby Cavanaugh's locker".

"Why?" Jason asked, "Do you think he's hiding in there?".

"He's a suspect" Wilden reminded.

"Well, your investigation better turn up more than Toby Cavanaugh's old gym socks" Jason taunted.

"You made it quite clear the other day you weren't happy with the pace of the investigation" Wilden said, "You said you wanted action, I'm trying to give that to you".

"Yeah, you've got nothing, I realised that yesterday" Jason said.

"You know, sometimes, Jason, we withhold information on the progress of an investigation to avoid any interruptions" Wilden said.

"Yeah, the only reason you're tearing this kid's locker apart is because he's not around to object" Jason snapped.

"Toby Cavanaugh called your sister's cell phone the night she disappeared, I checked the phone records" Wilden revealed, shocking the girls, "She took the call".

"Toby called Alison the night she died?" Emily asked.

"He did, or somebody else did using his phone" Wilden replied.

After dealing with Jason and Wilden, Daniella met up with Noel at the Grille, them buying food before they went over to Hanna's for the double date.

"So what are we buying?" Noel asked, looking at the menu.

"Pizza?" Daniella asked, "Everyone likes pizza, right?".

"I mean, I like pizza" Noel replied.

"So do I, and I know so does Hanna" Daniella said, "But does Sean?".

"Maybe" Noel said.

"You don't know what your best friend likes?" Daniella asked, giving Noel an amused look.

"I know he likes your best friend" Noel replied, making Daniella laugh.

"You're an idiot" Daniella said, shaking her head in amusement.

"Thank you" Noel said, "So, pizza?".

"We don't have any other option" Daniella said, "God, I hate buying food for other people".

"I can tell" an amused Noel said.

"Shut up" Daniella said, playfully shoving Noel as they lined up to order their food.

Noel laughed at Daniella, but his laughter died when he saw a certain Dilaurentis enter the Grille.

As soon as Jason entered the Grille, his eyes landed on an oblivious Daniella, who was too busy looking at the menu to realise what was happening around her. Seeing Jason's eyes on Daniella, Noel put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer to him.

"Woah" Daniella giggled, "What are you doing?".

"Looking at the menu" Noel lied.

"Why did you pull me closer to read the menu?" Daniella asked.

"Because I wanted you near me, Dani" Noel replied, kissing Daniella's cheek.

Daniella looked at Noel, her eyes wide open, "You're acting weird".

"I'm just making sure everyone knows who you're with" Noel defended.

"Ooo, is Noel Khan possessive about me?" Daniella teased.

"Very" Noel said, Daniella just laughed at him, having missed the seriousness in his tone.

While Daniella went back to looking at the menu, Noel looked back at Jason, who was now glaring at him, immense hatred showed in his eyes. Without realising what he was doing, Jason started making his way towards Noel and Daniella.

"Dani" Jason called out.

Daniella finally looked up from the menu and saw Jason standing infront of her, the anger in his eyes and face confusing her, following his gaze, she frowned seeing him glare at Noel, who was glaring back at Jason with the same amount of hatred and anger.

"Jason" A very confused Daniella greeted.

"I need to speak to you" Jason said, finally looking at the Montgomery girl.

"Then speak" Noel said.

"Alone" Jason snapped.

"Whatever you want to say to her, say it infront of me, or get lost" Noel snapped back.

"Woah, guys" Daniella warned, standing between the two guys, who seemed very close to fighting each other, "What the hell is going on here?".

"Dani, I need to speak to you" Jason repeated.

"About what?" Daniella asked.

"Something important" Jason replied, "Just come outside with me, I promise I won't take much of your time".

Daniella sighed, "Only for a few minutes" she said.

Jason nodded, "Only for a few minutes" he assured.

Daniella nodded and went to walk out with Jason, when Noel grabbed her wrist.

"Don't go" Noel told Daniella.

"Noel, I'll be back in a few" Daniella assured.

"Dani--".

"Don't worry Noel, I'm going to be okay, and I promise I won't take too much time" Daniella said, "Till I come back, why don't you order the food?".

Noel looked at Daniella then at a slightly smug Jason, taking a deep breath, he let go of Daniella's wrist, "Hurry back".

"I will" Daniella assured.

"Let's go, Dani" Jason said, his patience running out, causing him to grab Daniella's wrist.

"Jason!" A shocked Daniella said.

Jason didn't say anything to Daniella, just dragged her out of the Grille.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Daniella snapped, pushing Jason away from her once they were outside, "You can't just drag me out like that!".

"You shouldn't be with him, Dani" Jason said, ignoring Daniella's outburst.

"Excuse me?" Daniella asked confused.

"Noel" Jason clarified, "You shouldn't be with Noel, he isn't what he shows, he isn't a good guy, Dani".

"And why would I believe anything that comes out of your mouth?" Daniella asked, glaring at the Dilaurentis boy.

"Dani, I get that you hate me, and I know I deserve all your hatred and anger, but please, you need to stay away from Noel" Jason pleaded.

"Give me one good reason as to why I should listen to you" Daniella said, confused with Jason's words.

"Dani, I know Noel a lot more then you do, he isn't a good guy" Jason said, "He's going to end up hurting you, please, just trust me on this".

"He's not you, Jason" Daniella whispered, "He won't hurt me".

"He's worse then me" Jason argued, "Dani, I'm trying to make sure you don't get hurt".

"I don't need you to look out for me" Daniella snapped, "I can do that myself, please, just stay away from me, I'm finally moving on from you, just let me be happy, please don't ruin this for me".

"You won't be happy with Noel" Jason snapped, frustrated with the fact that Daniella wasn't listening to him, "I'm telling you Dani, his intentions aren't as pure as you think".

"Everything okay here?" Noel asked, coming out with the pizzas before Daniella could say anything else to Jason.

"Everything is okay" Daniella replied, "Jason was just saying goodbye".

"Dani--".

"Please" Daniella whispered, tears in her eyes, "Please just go, Jason, I don't want to hear anything else".

Jason sighed, he knew there was no way Daniella was going to trust his words, and he had no one expect himself to believe, so instead he turned to Noel and glared at him, "If I find out that you hurt her, then I don't care where I am, I will come back and kick your ass".

Daniella looked at Jason with tears in her eyes, his words overwhelming her and causing her heart to beat at a very fast pace.

"I will never hurt her" Noel defended.

"Actions speak louder then words" Jason said.

After giving Daniella one last glance, Jason walked away from the couple with a heavy heart.

"You okay?" Noel asked Daniella after Jason left.

"I'm not sure" Daniella whispered, staring at Jason's retreating figure, resisting the immense urge to run after him.

"This concert should be great" Noel said, as him, Daniella, Hanna and Sean sat in Hanna's kitchen.

"Most important thing about a band is a name" Sean said, as Hanna looked towards her best friend in concern, since she's come here, Daniella has been awfully quiet, and Hanna didn't miss the concern looks Noel kept sending towards the Montgomery girl, "I should know, cause I had one".

"You had five guys in Greg Samson's garage" Hanna teased.

"What was the name?" Noel asked curiously.

"Oh, we had the best name ever, Tick Beaudine" Sean replied, making Noel chuckle, "It was some guy I saw in a Western when I was a kid".

Noel checked his watch, "Guys, we should get going" he said.

"Thanks for the pizza, Noel" Hanna said.

"It was Dani's idea" Noel informed, looking at Daniella who was staring at her still full plate, causing both him and Hanna to frown, both knowing how much Daniella loved food, "And don't put it away, it'll be perfect room temperature when we get back", just as the doorbell rang, "Oh, that's the guy back with the crazy bread".

"No!" Hanna said, as Daniella cleared the plates, "No, it's too late for that".

"I paid for crazy bread, I want my crazy bread" Noel said, as he and Sean went to grab the bread.

After the boys left, Hanna turned to Daniella, "Okay, what's up with you?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" Daniella asked.

"Since you've gotten here, you seem upset" Hanna replied, "I noticed it and I'm pretty sure so did Noel".

Daniella sighed, "When me and Noel were grabbing the pizza, we ran into Jason" she informed, shocking Hanna, "And he said something about Noel that keeps running around in my head".

"What did Jason say to you?" Hanna asked curiously.

"That Noel isn't a good guy" Daniella informed, "That he's going to end up hurting me".

Hanna scoffed, "Dani, that's Jason being a typical jealous ex-boyfriend, don't take his words to heart, he's just trying to create trouble between you and Noel".

"You think so?" Daniella asked, she was extremely confused, she didn't know who to believe and who not to.

"I know so" Hanan replied, "Now cheer up and enjoy this night with Noel".

"I'm trying" Daniella defended.

"Try harder" Hanna said, just as Noel walked back into the kitchen.

"Look who's here, it wasn't the crazy bread" Noel said, stepping aside and revealing Lucas.

"Hi" Lucas greeted Hanna.

"Hey, Lucas" Hanna greeted, walking over to Lucas and taking him to the side while Noel walked over to Daniella.

"You okay?" Noel asked Daniella.

"I'm sorry" Daniella apologised, "I know I've been acting weird, and I'm really sorry about that".

"It's all good" Noel assured.

"No" Daniella said, shaking her head, "It's not okay Noel, I like you, like really really like you, and I want to be with you, and if I want to be with you, I have to stop letting Jason get to me, and I'm trying, trust me, I'm trying but I--".

"Hey" Noel interrupted, stepping closer to Daniella and cupping her face, "It's okay Dani, you and I, we are a work in progress, and that's okay".

"Is it?" Daniella asked, not sure if it was okay.

"It is" Noel assured, "I'm serious about us Dani, and before I do what I want to do next, I need to know if you're serious about me as well".

"I am" Daniella quickly said, "I promise, I am".

"Good" Noel whispered, slowly leaning closer to Daniella, "I'm going to kiss you now, if that's okay with you".

Daniella stared at Noel's lips, "Please do" she whispered.

Noel smiled at Daniella, and then without wasting another second, placed his lips on to Daniella's.

However, before things could get heated between the two, the buzzing of Daniella's phone caused them to separate.

"I hate your phone" Noel complained.

Daniella chuckled, "Sorry" she said, grabbing her phone from the counter, only to realise it was a message from Spencer.

"So she tried to pin it on you?" a shocked Hanna asked, as Spencer told the girls about her conversation with Jason, him informing her that Alison had told Jason about the Jenna thing and told him that it was Spencer's idea.

"That's what she told Jason" A frustrated Spencer replied.

"But why you?" Emily asked confused.

"Because Spencer could stand up to her and Alison didn't like that" Aria replied.

"Yeah, but so could Dani" Emily reminded.

"But Jason knew Dani, they were in a relationship" Hanna said, "Maybe Ali knew if she pinned it on Dani, Jason wouldn't believe her".

"But Ali never knew about me and Jason" Daniella said, her head hurting with what Spencer just revealed, she was left wondering if Jason thought she lied to him about what happened that night.

"God, this is officially insane!" Hanna snapped.

"Is that what she told Jenna when she was at the hospital?" Emily asked, as the girls sat on the Hastings couch.

"I don't know, I don't think so, but I don't know" Spencer replied, slightly panicking.

"Okay, so, so one minute, she's trying to cover it up and the next she's ratting us out to her brother?" Aria asked confused.

"Like she wanted Jason to know the fake story in case anything happened to her" Emily realised.

"Why?" Hanna asked confused.

"So they'd know who blame" Spencer replied.

"Unbelievable" Daniella scoffed, "Just when you think Alison couldn't get any more twisted, we find out something new about her".

"Jason!" Daniella yelled, banging on the motel room door Spencer told her Jason was staying at, "I know you're in there Jason, open the damn door!".

After much banging, a shirtless Jason finally opened the door, "Dani?" he asked confused.

"You are such a dickhead!" Daniella snapped, pushing past Jason and entering his room.

"Uh, what did I do this time?" Jason asked confused, while closing the door.

"I told you everything that happened that night" Daniella snapped, "Do you really think I lied to you?".

"What night are you talking about?" Jason asked.

"The night of Jenna's accident!" Daniella yelled.

"You talked to Spencer" Jason realised.

"Oh don't act surprised, you knew she will tell me" Daniella said.

Jason sighed, "I never thought you lied to me, Dani".

"Then what did you think?" Daniella asked confused.

"When Ali told me about Spencer being behind Jenna's accident, I didn't know what to think" Jason admitted, "The way Ali described everything, I guess I subconsciously came to the conclusion that Spencer manipulated you and made you think it was Ali instead of her".

"Well your subconscious was wrong" Daniella snapped, "Spencer tried to stop Alison that night, hell I tried to stop her that night, it wasn't Spencer behind Jenna's accident Jason, it was your sister, so don't ever come here and blame my best friend for something she didn't do, am I clear?".

Jason tried his best not to smile at Daniella's protectiveness when it comes to her friends, he knew if he smiled then that would just anger her more, so instead he just nodded, "Clear".

"Good" Daniella said, "Now excuse me, I have to get home before the storm gets worse".

"You're going to drive in this weather?" Jason asked.

"Yeap" Daniella replied, trying to walk past Jason but he grabbed her wrist.

"Dani, it's pouring outside, look at you, you're soaked" Jason said.

"Don't pretend like you care" Daniella said, trying to remove her hand from Jason's grip but he refused to let go, "Jason, let go".

"It's dangerous to drive in this weather" Jason said.

"I'll be fine" Daniella said.

"Can you for once not be stubborn?" Jason snapped.

"No" Daniella snapped back.

"I'm not letting you drive in this weather, Daniella" Jason argued.

"I'm not staying in this room with you" Daniella argued back.

"Why not?" Jason asked, "Scared you won't be able to resist me?".

Daniella glared at Jason, "It's not because of that" she replied.

"Then why can't you stay here for the night?" Jason asked.

"Because it isn't right" Daniella replied, "I'm with Noel".

"Dani, we aren't having sex" Jason said, trying to keep his anger regarding Noel and Dani down.

"But you're my ex-boyfriend" Daniella reminded, "And it's raining outside, and we're in a motel room, can't you see what all this looks like, if someone finds out about me spending a night here with you, they are going to take it the wrong way".

"The rain is supposed to slow down by 6am, you can leave then, no one except you will be awake at that time" Jason said.

"I--".

"Stop arguing with me, Dani" Jason interrupted, "I'm not letting you leave in that storm".

"Fine" Daniella said, giving in after a moment of hesitation, "But I'm taking the bed".

"Not in those clothes you aren't" Jason said, gesturing to Daniella's soaked clothes.

"I'm sorry I didn't bring extra clothes to a sleepover I didn't know I was having" Daniella snapped, as Jason walked over to his bag.

"Here" Jason said, pulling out a hoddie, "Wear this".

"Not happening" Daniella said.

"You will catch a cold if you stay in those clothes" Jason argued, just as he said that Daniella let out a sneeze, making Jason give him a I told you so look.

Daniella glared at the Dilaurentis boy, hating that he had a point, so without anymore arguing, she snatched the hoddie from Jason's hand and ran into the bathroom, leaving behind a amused Jason.

After a few minutes, Daniella came out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but Jason's hoddie, as Daniella entered the room, she saw Jason sleeping on the bed.

"Unbelievable" Daniella whispered, realising Jason took the bed despite her wanting it, looking around Daniella realised there was no where else she could sleep, so after much debating in her head, she went and laid next to Jason, thinking it wouldn't be awkward as Jason was fast asleep.

As Daniella was slowly letting sleep take over, she felt an arm wrap around her waist and pull her against a hard body, if she was fully awake, Daniella would have panicked being this close to Jason, but right now she was too sleep deprived to care, and sleeping in Jason's arms, just felt right to her.

Next morning, Daniella had rushed out the motel room after she woke up with her limbs intertwined with Jason's and her head on his chest, she didn't even bother to change or wait for him to wake up, she felt really awkward so she grabbed her clothes and rushed out.

Currently, Daniella and all the girls sat in the school's multipurpose room, attending Alison's memorial. Daniella avoided looking towards Jason, who hadn't stopped glancing at her since he's gotten here.

Spencer stood up and walked over to the podium, she went to start her speech, when someone's entrance shocked her, seeing the Hasting girl's expression, her friends looked in the direction she was looking in, only to see Ian Thomas, Melissa's ex-boyfriend and Jason's ex-best friend, enter the room.

Seeing Ian, an annoyed look immediately came on Daniella's face, she hated Ian with everything she had, she hated him for encouraging Jason to drink, she hated him for using her and Jason's relationship against her after catching the two once in Jason's room, but most of all she hated him for all the crude comments he sent her way, always commenting on her body, subtly asking her to sleep with him and many other things.

Daniella looked towards Jason, who was already looking at her, a concern look on his face, him also having seen Ian enter, Daniella had once told Jason about Ian and his comments, which caused a huge fight to happen them between them, as Jason thought Daniella was reading too much into it, refusing to believe his best friend will behave like that with the girl he loves, because of which Daniella decided not to say anything else, and instead quietly tolerate Ian's comments, not wanting to create trouble between herself and Jason, something she regrets immensely now.

"Ian?" Aria said confused, making Daniella look away from Jason.

"Wait, Melissa's Ian?" Hanna asked.

"Yeap" Daniella replied.

"Um" Spencer started, "I can't remember not knowing Alison, not having her as a friend, she was the first person I knew long enough that I felt I could be angry with, without worrying that I was gonna lose her, and it made me feel like something was gonna last, and you need that, especially when you're a kid".

"Friends can be hard on you" Hanna said, "Maybe they expect more from you than strangers, strangers pretty much see you the way you want them to see you, but you can't fool friends, that's what makes them friends".

"That corner of the park is gonna be a safe place where you can go and sit, read a book and just think" Emily said, "You should think about Alison while you're there, she'd want to make sure you didn't forget about her".

"When you do something like this, a memorial" Aria said, "It's partly because you don't understand what's happened, so you plant flowers, and you paint tiles, and somewhere in the middle of all that work, you stop crying, I guess that's the point".

"Alison would have loved seeing all of you guys here" Daniella said, "She always loved being the center of attention, she would have laughed, and whenever I heard Alison's laugh it would automatically make me laugh, because her laughter was amazing, it was heartwarming and it's unfair that a lot of people out there won't be able to hear her laugh or even get to know what type of person Alison Dilaurentis really was".

Once Daniella had sit back down, Jason helped Jenna walk up to the podium, making all the girls uneasy, not knowing what Jenna was going to reveal.

"We think we know who we are, but we don't" Jenna said, "Not until something bad happens to us and then all the useless things fall away and we're left with who we really are, I learnt that from Alison Dilaurentis, my whole life, I thought I knew who she was, but I found out the truth when she came and talked to me at the hospital, I found out that she was the strongest person, that I had ever met, and it's her strength that touched so many people, shaped them, that's her real legacy, that's how her memory will endure in the actions of those she inspired in so many different ways, from all of us, thank you, Alison".

"I need sugar" Hanna said, as the girls walked into the Hastings kitchen.

"Me too" Aria said.

"I'm buying" Spencer said.

"I need alcohol" Daniella said, sitting down.

"That was my folks" Jason said, entering the kitchen, "They says thanks, and so do I".

"You're welcome" Emily said.

"And I want you girls to have something" Jason said, pulling out a bracelet that had Alison's name on it out of his jacket pocket, "The police returned this to my family, I think you should have it".

"The police gave that to you?" Emily asked shocked, as Aria grabbed the bracelet and started inspecting it.

"Alison was wearing it" Jason revealed.

"Wait, you mean when they found her?" Hanna asked.

Jason nodded, "After listening today, I just thought you should have it", he then looked at Daniella, "I'll be in touch".

Once Jason walked away, Emily spoke, "If that's Alison's bracelet, what about the one we found in the woods?".

"It was fake" Daniella realised.

"Someone made a copy of Alison's bracelet" Hanna said.

"Yeah, and made sure that we would find it" Spencer said.

"Great" Daniella whispered, "Just what we needed".
