Chapter 1. The Saber And The Titan.
*England Headquarters of the Mage's Association: The Clock Tower*
-------------------------------------------------------------
No one Pov.
Somewhere in England, inside the Headquarters of the Mage's Association, two students, one male, and one female, were both walking together through a hallway while having a small chat with each other, until-.
*Bump*
"Ah. Sorry-."
The boy apologized before seeing a very tall yet muscular figure with glasses.
"Eeek!"
Both the students shrieked due to the appearance of the stranger.
Therefore, they both ran off, forgetting their small incident.
"Kids these days..."
The man scratched his hair, sighing.
After that, he continued walking where he eventually led himself to a room.
Inside the room was another man who just so happens to be the Dean of the Summoning Department, Rocco Belfeban.
"Ah, you're here."
The muscular man sat down near a couch before saying.
"I gotta say, Belfeban... You really need to teach some students some manners, ya'know?"
Belfeban chuckled until pointing out that.
"That's your own fault, if only you'd take off those glasses of yours and see how your appearance looks from other's perspectives...
Mr. Shishigou Kairi."
Hearing that made Kairi scoff due to the Dean's statement, until he then starting scanning the room, seeing all kinds of unique items.
"You can really find anything here in this place, huh."
Kairi said in a jokeful manner, before eyeing on a strange jar that seems to contain small corpses inside.
"Is that the corpse of an Infant Hydra?"
He asked.
"It's a fake."
Belfeban replied in more of serious tone.
"Now then, I'm sure you've heard the news, yes?"
The old man asked.
"Yeah, but only the small details of it."
Said Kairi.
"The Yggdmillenia Clan has broken off all means of communication with the Mage's Association and used a Servant to annihilate the fifty Magi that you guys sent to subjugate them and only one survivor was left alive with only a small chance of recovering his abilities as a Magus."
He continued.
"Currently, the Yggdmillenia is holed up in a fortress that is located in the oldest building of Trifas, which is a town that is near the outskirts of the Transylvania region in Romania."
Kairi stopped and began to process the reason why he is here in the first place.
"And I'll say this now just in case, but if you're really asking me to fight Servants, I kindly refuse."
He spoke, putting both of his hands in his pocket and standing off the couch.
"Don't be so hasty, I haven't even told you my request, so it would most likely be best for to hear me incase of that."
Said Belfeban.
"Then what is it?"
Kairi stood there, waiting.
"My request for you is to participate in their Holy Grail War and fight their Servants by summoning a Servant of your own."
This caused Kairi to flinch back, shocked.
"Huh!?"
Belfeban smirked at the man.
"The Greater Grail can perform acts of auxiliary aid in the Holy Grail War, such as distributing command spells, because of this Greater Grail that has been discovered, it's design allowed seven Servants to join together and act as a united force, but these Seven Servants will have no purpose if they don't have an opposer."
He continued.
"Seven Servants verses another..."
Kairi muttered.
"That's right."
The Dean chuckled.
"And now, we've received words from our scouts that the Yggdmillenia has already summoned their seven Servants as they are being command by seven Masters."
He continued.
"While for the time being, we've also gathering together seven Servants and their Masters."
Belfeban sat there in his chair, grinning at Kairi as he merely stood there.
"What will happen to the Greater Grail... If our side wins?"
Kairi asked.
"Simple. We will bring back here to the Mage's Association and keep it for safeguarding."
Belfeban replied.
"Though, there's no way to know whether or not the surviving Magi of our side will be able to remain calm and composed faced with a method to easily reach the root.."
He mentioned.
Kairi stood there, taking his right hand out of his pocket and putting it near his chin, thinking carefully, before showing a smirk towards the Dean of the Summoning Department.
"I'll accept this job of yours, but I have a few questions and I'll decide whether I accept or not hearing your response."
Kairi spoke.
"Very well then."
Belfeban nodded.
"First, a holy relic is needed to act as a catalyst in summoning a Servant... Got one of those relics?"
He said.
Therefore, the Dean started looking through his drawers and pulled out an item that is covered in cloth until he unwrapped the item, revealing a small fragment that appears to have a curved edge.
"What's this?"
Kairi asked out of curiosity.
"It's one of the few remaining's of the medieval Round Table where the greatest of Knights once gathered together and talked to one another."
This made Kairi very shocked.
"The Round Table of Britain... You mean King Arthur's Round Table!?"
He asked until seeing the small fragment get tossed to him all the sudden and eventually caught it.
"Yes, though however... Since it's merely a fragment of the Round Table, there's no guranteed of which Knight will be summoned by you."
Belfeban mentioned.
"That's not a problem at all as long as I'll be able to summon a Knight that will be more sufficient as a Servant."
Said Kairi, who started smiling.
"Anyway, onto the next question... I want to ask about the other Masters I'll be working with."
The old man then pulls out a couple files of certain people from his drawer.
"If you're wondering about them, they're already dispatched to Romania."
He mentioned.
"And they just so happen to be picked out by the Mage's Association."
Kairi looked and seem to recognize some of the people that were shown in the files.
"Now these are some familiar faces and as a matter of fact, I actually happen to run into them during my jobs."
He said.
"Also, one of them also happened to be both a Master and the supervisor of the War, whom the Church sent."
Belfeban mentioned.
"He's both a Master and the supervisor?"
Kairi asked.
"That's right."
Said Belfeban.
"Is it really necessary for me and the other Masters to have a supervisor in this war>:
Kairi asked once again.
"What do you think? It'd be a problem for our side if we rudely excluded the church and push them aside and let them support the Yggdmillenia side."
Belfeban answered before handing Kairi the file that holds the information about the Master that is also the supervisor of the Holy Grail War.
"Shirou... Kotomine.."
Kairi murmured.
"Never heard of him."
He said.
"But anyway, like said earlier, I accept this job of yours... But first, I want you to give me half the fee ahead of time as payment, since we both know that this job here has a low chance of me surviving, so I want to get what I can."
Belfeban then stares at Kairi, thinking that there should be more what he actually wants.
"Hoh, is that all you really need?"
The Dean asked before seeing Kairi walk to a small table that had a jar, which is the same jar that held the corpse of a Infant Hydra.
"You want you to gimme this."
Kairi chuckled, knowing that it's merely a fake.
"... You're fine with a fake?"
Belfeban asked.
"Of course I am."
After that, Kairi walks off to the door.
"Anyway I'm off now.. I'll contact you when I get to Romania."
Once he was about to open the door to make his exit-.
"Before you go..."
Kairi stopped from opening the door and stood there, not turning around.
"There's also something I should tell you about this war..."
Said Belfeban.
"What is it?"
Kairi asked.
"This war you're going into... Will have a few others that will be an obstacle to both our side and the Yggdmillenia, except for you."
Because of what Belfeban said, Kairi retorted by saying.
"So what? I'll have my Servant get rid of theirs."
Said Kairi.
"But this one is no Servants at all, Mr. Shishigou Kairi."
Kairi then turns around and looks at the Dean with a confused expression.
"And surely enough... I believe you might've heard of them... Who refers themselves as...
Guardians."
Hearing this widen Kairi's eyes.
"As a matter of fact... You might also know the Master of them as well."
Belfeban said while chuckling, amused by Kairi's reaction.
"Perhaps this name should ring a bell...
Andrew Washington."
*Romania Capital, Bucharest*
-------------------------------------------------------------
It's only been a couple days after Shishigou Kairi visited the Mage's Association after he and the Dean of the Summoning Department came to an agreement that Kairi himself should fight for the sake of the Mage's Assocation so he can bring them the so-called "Greater Grail"
Now, Kairi is here in the capital of Romania, Bucharest.
Before he could go to site where he will be summoning his Servant, he decided to wander around the capital, picking up all kinds of item on way and trying out some food that he never bother to try in his life.
Eventually, it started to become night now.
Because of that, Kairi pulled out a paper that showed a specific address.
"Hmm... Surely this address shouldn't be too far away from here.."
Kairi thought to himself, until he saw a Taxi driving by.
Before it went past him, he stood near the edge of the sideway and stood there.
Therefore, the vehicle stopped.
"Take me here."
Kairi hopped inside the car and showed the address to the driver.
"Sure thing."
*Short time skip*
After a few minutes of driving around the capital of Romania, Kairi finally arrives at his destination.
Apparently the address that he was given led him to a graveyard.
Once he got out of the cab, he first payed the driver and watched as the driver goes off into the distance.
"So a graveyard, huh... Just what I needed."
Kairi thought to himself.
"Guess you've gotten used to the fact that we've always hanged out and meet up at a graveyard as always."
The man chuckled to himself before opening the gates to the graveyard and head inside.
He kept on passing by some other graves and everything, until he saw a figure, who appears to be sitting down on the ground leaning his back against a tombstone.
"Bout' time you came, old man..."
The voice was the sound of another man.
"C'mon, Andrew... You know that I'm only 32, so I'm not that old."
Kairi chuckled.
"In my book, you are.."
There, Kairi stood in his place before seeing the figure stand up and turn around, facing towards him with his black hair and pale red eyes.
"And don't you get started with me getting old as well, knowing that I'm only 20."
The two of them then started grinning at each other.
"It's been a while, eh?"
Andrew asked as he scanned his friend's body.
"I see that you still got that shotgun."
Kairi looks down on his lower body and see his sawed-off shotgun.
"Of course I do. You and I both know that it's irreplaceable."
He patted his weapon as he started relieve himself with some good memory of him using it for his journey.
"And I'd say... You grew up pretty quick from what I remember."
Kairi then receives a blank look from Andrew.
"Which wasn't even that long, if I remember vividly.... Dumbass."
And to mention the fact that Kairi himself has a poor memory.
"Do you not remember the time where we went to bring back Katabasis, but was dead already so we just left his body and took his old 1892 Winchester rifle, which was hella beat up?"
Kairi then puts his hand under his chin.
"Pretty sure I do... Shame to see his body being all infested with weird stuff..."
He replied.
"Speaking of that rifle... Do you still have it?"
There, Andrew looks down to where he was sitting and knee down to pick up a leather case.
"It's in there?"
Kairi asked.
"Yessir."
Andrew nodded.
"By the way... I take it that you know why you're here, right?"
Kairi almost forgot about that.
"Due to your expression, I'll take that as a yes."
Andrew said as he proceeds to get his weapon prepared.
"You should probably get the ritual set up while you're at it. I'll get everything ready if anything goes wrong."
With that being said from Andrew, Kairi then finds himself an open space that was nearby his friend and draws a white circle with few markings in it's layer, until he finally puts a small relic that belongs to the knights of the round table, or the only few remains of the table itself.
Once he was finished preparing the circle, he sat himself on a boulder, before pulling out a lighter and a small box of cigars.
He then proceeds light one cigarette and have a few hits.
"Aight... Let's get started."
Kairi turns his head to see his friend Andrew holding a Winchester rifle, which seems the very same rifle that he and Kairi took after trying to find their friend Katabasis.
"Lookin' good there."
He said.
"You saying that to me or the gun?"
Andrew asked.
"The gun.."
Kairi replied in a irritated tone until he flicked his cigar away.
"Whatever, you do what you gotta do.. Then it'll be my turn.."
Kairi then gets off the boulder and walks towards the white circle that is engraved within the ground.
There, Kairi extends his right arm out and started chanting.
"... Let silver and steel be essence... Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation..."
The white circle suddenly started to glow.
"Let {Red}... Be the color I pay tribute to..."
The glow started to become more brighter due to Kairi's chanting.
"Let the Four Cardinal Gates close... Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall.."
Because of the amount of light coming from the circle started to release an usual amount of wind, as if there was a tornado nearby, and it's force pushing everything back.
"Let the three-forked road... From the crown reaching unto the kingdom rotate..."
He continued.
"-Come forth from the ring of restraint, protector of the holy balance!"
Suddenly, a beam of light shot into the air.
Soon, the beam slowly disperse within the air, eventually revealing a figure.
Without being too sure whether the ritual was done properly, Andrew readied a couple rounds in his rifle and aimed towards the figure.
"Want me to take the shot?"
Andrew asked as he was close to pulling the trigger.
"No. I think we're good now."
As soon as the beam of light was gone, both Andrew and Kairi got a good view of who might be their Servant.
From what they see, is a knight of red and silver.
Now that Kairi's Servant has been summoned, it is time for his friend's turn.
But before, that Kairi waited for his Servant to have some time scanning the area.
Eventually, the knight looks at Kairi.
"So... You're my Master, yeah?"
The knight asked.
"Shishigou Kairi, and yes, I am your Master. Nice to meet you."
Kairi responds with him reaching out his hand towards the knight, expecting to receive a handshake, until he sees his Servant look around once again.
"Did you seriously summon me in a graveyard? Who even does that?"
The knight asked, displeased about the area.
"Well, even if you tell me that..."
Kairi said as he scratched his head.
"But whatever.. Let's just say that this place's kind of like my home ground."
He continued.
"Were you born in a graveyard?"
The knight asked.
"Nope, I mainly spent all of my youth with corpses."
Kairi responded.
"I see... So you're a Necromancer."
He then nods and says.
"That's right."
With that being said, Kairi then proceeds to scan the knight.
"So, I'm guessing you're a Saber-Class Servant, right?"
The knight then sets it's blade on it's shoulder.
"Of course. Do I look like an Assassin to you or something?"
The knight asked.
"No... But I think an Assassin that charges straight forward through a battle with a sword and armor wouldn't be so bad actually."
Now the knight began to question something.
"... Could it be that... I've gotten myself an idiot Master?"
That made Kairi lose pride within himself, but he didn't really care.
"Nope! You've drawn the best possible Master, Saber! And here, I can proudly say that I'm a First-rate Master of a calibur for you!"
He then gives the knight a thumbs up.
"Hmph. At least I know that you're pretty skilled with words."
Said the knight.
"Alright. So... Before we get down to business, would you mind telling me your true name?"
However, Kairi notice something a bit strange.
"... Actually, why can't I see part of your status even though I'm your Master?"
He asked.
"Oh, it's because of this helmet here. But I can remove whenever I want to, which I'll do so."
With that being said, the helmet started to separate itself with it's pieces clashing against the armor.
(I know some of you guys enjoy looking at her)
This left both Kairi and Andrew shocked.
"A... Women?"
The knight immediately snapped after hearing the word, women.
Therefore, she pointed her sword at Kairi's neck.
"Kairi!"
Andrew was ready to pull the trigger, but-.
"Never call me that again..."
The knight growled.
"...What?"
Andrew looked at both the Master and Servant.
"The next time you call me a women, I won't be able to stop myself from killing you.."
Both Kairi and Andrew felt sweat coming down their heads.
"... Got it. My bad. I'll try not to say it again.."
The knight then draws her sword away from her Master.
"Then I forgive you."
She said.
"So then, about your true name-."
Kairi was then cut off by the women responding with.
"Hm? What're you talking about Master?"
The knight asked.
"Look, I don't know what catalyst you used, but all I know that you definitely called for me specifically."
She said.
"And to say you don't know my true name-."
Kairi cuts the knight off by pointing to the relic he used to summon her and say.
"Ah. No. The catalyst I used to summon you is that over there."
The women was unsure of what relic it was.
"The heck's this?"
She asked.
"That's the few remaining pieces of the round table. The one used by the knights you belonged to.
Suddenly, the women rose her sword up and slashed the relic.
"Jesus christ..."
Andrew stood there, slowly trying to process everything together.
"HOW INFURIATING! TO THINK THAT I WOULD BE SUMMONED BY THAT THING!"
Due to the reaction the women showed, Kairi already figured it out.
"Ah, I see now... So that reactions gives it away.."
He said.
"Isn't that right, Mordred? Or, Knight of Treachery you'd say."
Mordred then regains her composure by dismissing away her sword.
"If I'm not wrong.. I assume that you wish to become King by the Holy Grail, right?"
Kairi asked.
"I won't and become King by the Holy Grail."
Mordred replied.
"The Sword of Selection.. I only have a desire to challenge the sword the King of Knights unsheathed."
The knight added.
"A challenge?"
Mordred then nods.
"Yeah. Obviously, you can already tell that there's no way I can unsheathe it."
Hearing this made Kairi chuckle.
"What?"
Mordred glared at him.
"Nothing. I just thought that you'll actually be able to it.
Kairi then extends his hand out to Mordred.
"I know we skipped the introduction already, but we'll do it again."
He said.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mordred."
Mordred then responds back by slapping her hand against Kairi's.
"Yeah. I'll be counting on you, Master!"
She said.
"Now, who'll be target for today, Master?"
With that, Kairi clearly almost forgot about something.
"You two done yet?"
Kairi forgot about Andrew.
"Yeah. It's your turn now."
Said Kairi.
"About time."
Andrew scoffed.
"Who's he?"
Mordred asked.
"Bitch! You just realize me now?! Did you not see some guy pointing a gun at you or no?!"
Andrew asked.
"Call me that one more time and I'll kill you!"
Mordred shouted.
"I'd like to see you try!"
There, both Andrew and Mordred went up close and gave each other looks.
"YOU WANNA GO!?"
Mordred asked.
"ANYTIME!"
*SLAP*
Suddenly, Kairi slapped the neck of both Mordred and Andrew.
"OW!"
The two shouted in pain.
"I really don't wanna deal with this at the moment... So Andrew, go and set up your ritual. Me and Mordred will be on standby."
Said Kairi.
"Yeah, yeah.."
Andrew scoffed before going back to his leather case and then took out two small items that were wrapped.
"Two relics?"
Kairi looked at Andrew, confused.
"Yeah.. But I have to choose one of them, since I don't even know if it's possible to have two Servants, and I don't plan on risking it.
Andrew spoke as he started to create another white circle like his friend did.
There, he added a line that will be the link to one of the relics of his choosing.
"Say.. Before you go on ahead with the ritual, mind telling me about those two relics?"
Kairi asked.
Andrew responds putting one wrapped relic aside and unwrapped the other.
The one he opened revealed a broken and rusted handle, which seems to belong to a Broadsword or something else.
"As you can see, it's might be normal, broken, rusted piece of metal... But, a colleague of mine told me that this actually belongs to a weapon that was onced used by the champion of the Crucible."
Said Andrew.
"And if you know who I'm referring to, yes. You got it right."
Then, he pierced the broken, rusted handle into the line that connected to the white circle.
"Let's get this started... Hopefully I know what I'm supposed to say..."
Andrew said to himself as he started stretching his body.
"... May the ladder flourish into the fight.. May momentum be the answer... Let the second swing be no less deadly..."
Like Kairi's process of performing his ritual, Andrew's was glowing just like his, but instead of a noncolored beam of light, it was a purple light.
".. May him follow no orders... Let chaos reign over.. For his allegiance outweigh his obedience to one another..."
Just like before, another force of wind was released from the beam of light.
"To this may be his final lesson! Let his flash and aura be the final highlighted reel!"
As Andrew completed his chanted, the purple beam of light became more brighter and then eventually started to disperse into the atmosphere.
Once it was gone, the purple beam of light left a strange marking within the white circle.
But now that the light is gone, Andrew looked up ahead and saw someone kneeing down while holding a sword that is pierced into the ground.
The stranger then moves his head up and leered towards Andrew, making him return as well, until inhaling and exhaling.
"Are you my Master?"
The stranger asked.
"That's right. And you're my Servant."
Andrew replied.
"Hm.. It may seem so that I am."
Andrew's Servant uses his sword to help himself stand up straight.
"I am Redrix. Champion of the Crucible. Titan-Class, or Defender-Class you might say."
Said Redrix.
"Andrew Washington, pleasure to meet ya."
The two of them then exchange hands to each other, until-.
*CAW 2x*
The four of them all looked up and saw a crow flying towards them.
"Mordred! Spiritual Form!/Go into Spirit Form now, Redrix!"
Andrew and Kairi said together as their Servants immediately turned invisible.
"What's the matter?"
Mordred asked within the thoughts of Kairi.
"You're being called by your supervisor, aren't you?"
Andrew asked.
"Looks like it."
There, the flying crow then drops a written paper to Kairi.
"Wanna tag along?"
Kairi asked.
"Why not. But only as long as you can decline their offering if they want us and our teammates to work together, meaning they'll invade our privacy and get in our way."
Andrew answered.
"But Master, isn't it more sufficient for us to work together with our allies?"
Redrix asked.
"Yeah, but only us four. And just so you know.. I don't fuck with incompetent teammates."
Redrix seems to find that a bit relatable from what his Master has said.
"Alright.. We'll be on our way then."
*Time skip*
-------------------------------------------------------------
Redrix Pov.
"Welcome."
By the time me, my master and his arrived, we were greeted by someone who appears to be the priest.
Of course, we had to meet him in a church out of all places, but who am I to complain.
"You the one who called me here?"
I stood near my Master as his friend was speaking to the priest.
"Yes, that's correct. Please, come inside."
For some reason, I'm already having a bad feeling about this.
"Master, should we join them as well?"
I asked.
"I'm staying out here. You can head inside if you want to, but as long as both Kairi and his Servant are okay."
My Master replied.
"Understood."
With that being said, I decided to follow both my Master's friend and his Saber.
"No... I can't sense any, except for the Titan here."
I overheard Saber, or Mordred you might refer to.
"But... Something's giving me a bad feeling... Be careful, Master."
Guess I'm not the only one feeling the same.
Eventually, the priest led us to a living room. It seemed pretty comfy if you ask me.
"Nice to meet you. I am Shirou Kotomine."
The priest introduced himself.
"I have been made the supervisor of this Holy Grail War."
Why am I sensing another presence all the sudden? This can't be good.
"Shishigou Kairi."
Let's hope you'll cut to the chase already.
"Let's keep the introduction short. You've already investigated me anyway, right?"
Kairi asked.
"Yes. That is correct."
The priest nodded.
"Would you mind materializing the Servant you have with you, if you please?"
I'm not sure if he's referring to me or Saber here.
"I'll materialize, Master.. Still got a bad feeling though..."
Eventually, Saber decided to reveal herself to the priest.
I looked at the priest and noticed a strange expression on his face.
"Oh my..."
He murmured.
"What's wrong?"
Kairi asked.
"No. It's nothing."
The priest responded.
"Then, let me show you my Servant as well."
Hearing that, a small gust of light was shown before my eyes and revealed a women who was dress as dark as the midnight.
At first I could've sworn that she was a Hunter, but it more accurate that she's a Assassin.
"Tch! Couldn't sense her presence at all..."
I wasn't able to as well.
"Assassin, huh?"
I looked as Kairi maintained his cool.
"I am the Assassin of Red. I look forward to working with you, Shishigou."
Said the Assassin of Red.
"Saber as well."
She smiled.
"And you too, O'Guardian."
Guess, she knows I'm here. Just great.
"Master, shall I materialize myself?"
I asked my Master, even though he's outside at the main entrance of the church.
"Go on ahead."
He answered.
Therefore, I revealed myself next to Saber.
"A Titan I see."
I looked at Shirou, who was staring at me with a pleased expression.
"Now then.. I know that it's a bit abrupt, but I'll report on the current situation to you."
He said.
"The Yggdmillenia Clan already has six Servants... Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Berserker, and Caster."
Six already?
"It seems Assassin of Black's the only Servant that hasn't join up with them yet, but I can confirm with my authority as supervisor that their Assassin has been summoned.
Oh, so basically Seven. You could've just said that already.
"Have you discovered any of their true names?"
Kairi asked.
"At present, we unfortunately have yet to determine any of their identities."
Are true names really that necessary? I don't recall it being so important.
"We've at least managed to confirm the status of the six Servants."
That's good.
"For our side, all the Masters including myself have summoned our Servants and begun taking action."
I watched as the Priest then slides a couple images and reports from other mages.
"Shishgou, do you have any ideas as to the identities of the enemy Servants?"
He asked.
"... I do have one."
I think I know who he's thinking about.
"You've probably come to the same conclusion yourself."
Said Kairi.
"True enough."
The priest sighed.
"The group of Magi that were sent to attack first were reported to have been impaled by countless stakes.. And since we're in Romania, there's no way the enemy wouldn't take advantage of this by summoning a Hero from this region.
He then shows him a picture of the one who might be the cause of the deaths.
From what I see is a blurry image of a man with long hair, but I did catch a glimpse of his skin, which seems to be very pale.
I suspect that he might be a vampire or so.
"This Lancer with ridiculously high stats is the foremost leading contender among Heroes in this region... The infamous Impaler, kazikli bey-."
Before Shirou could even continue, Kairi stopped him by asking him.
"So, how about the Servants on our side?"
I have a feeling I know what you're thinking about, Kairi.
"They're not bad at all.. Your Saber seems quite powerful as well."
If I really had to work with others, I'll take it and hope that they're all competent.
"I can confidently say.. Both of our Lancer and Rider are strong enough to oppose Lancer of Black."
Confidence we'll get us nowhere to be honest and saying that really reminds me of Randy and his idiocy for alerting our enemy back in the crucible and almost screwing up the whole process of winning.
"In any case, with the addition of your Saber and Guardian, we have all eight Servants of our camp gathered.. I'll introduce you to the other Masters right away."
Said the Priest.
"But before that, would you please reveal both Saber's and Titan's true names?"
Does he really think that Kairi actually possesses two Servants?
"Master, should I-?"
I was the cut off by my Master saying.
"No."
Of course.
"Uh... Do I really have to tell you?"
Kairi asked.
"In this war, we're all comrades. Since we're entrusting our lives to each other, don't you think it's better to reveal our Servants' true names?'
He does have a point there.
"Sure.. It's true we're working together... But still, revealing names is a bit..."
I'm somewhat against it to be honest.
"Master, what're you going to do? By the way, I'm against it myself."
Saber spoke telepathically to Kairi.
"I feel the same, but what's your reasoning?"
Kairi asked Saber.
"... My instinct is warning me."
I'm going with my own personal preference.
"I can trust your instinct."
Kairi responded.
"Alright, I've decided."
With that being said, Kairi stood up off the couch.
"Oh my, where are you going?"
Shirou asked.
"We're gonna do things on our own. Fortunately, my Servant is a Saber-class. There are no real demerits even if we act independently."
Said Kairi.
"You have no intention of forming a common front with the rest of us?"
Shirou asked.
"We have the same objective of fighting the Servants of Black. That should be good enough, right?"
Both me and Saber followed Kairi to the door.
Before we left, I quickly stopped myself until I heard.
"I was looking forward to fighting alongside you, though. Especially to you as well, Titan... Truly a shame."
-------------------------------------------------------------
Once the three of us were outside the church, where my Master was waiting outside for us, I had a feeling I know what's going to happen next.
"Hey, you don't think that those two are planning to-."
All the sudden, both mine and Saber's Master began running off.
"Yeah, I thought of the same..."
Me and Saber then started chasing after them in our spiritual form.
"Saber! Anyone tailing us?"
Kairi asked.
"... No."
Saber responded.
"Assassin might be following is in spiritual form, though. Don't let your guard down.."
Sounds simple enough.
"Master..."
She called out her Master.
"What?"
Kairi said.
"... Umm, you know-.."
Suddenly, my Master cut her off by blurting out.
"She's relieved that your ass isn't the type to mess around with a cunning crook like that Priest back there."
This made me snicker silently.
"Shut up!
Saber shouted.
"Nah!"
My Master laughed.
"I'm gonna kill you once we get outta here!"
I pity myself and Saber's Master, since he and I really have to deal with this bullshit.
"This is gonna be a loooong day.."
*Back at the Church*
-------------------------------------------------------------
No one Pov.
"Why did you let them go? Aren't you being too laxed, Master?"
The Assassin of Red asked.
"Leave them be for now. It's enough that they aren't hostile towards us. Our current enemies are the Servants of Black.
Shirou replied, until-.
"I agree as well, Master!"
Someone else made an appearance.
"It's far too soon to have such magnificent actors step off the stage! Especially that infamous Titan of the Crucible!"
He exclaimed.
"Yes. I whole heartedly agree."
Shirou nodded before taking out and putting on a red cloak.
After that, he slicked his hair back.
"In any case.. With this, all the pieces have been gathered..."
Archer
Lancer
Rider
Caster
Assassin
Berserker
Saber
And
Guardian.
"The opening of hostiles will commence soon."
Said Shirou.
"The seven Servants of Black
and
the eight Servants of Red
will fight and slaughter each out without end in the largest scale Holy Grail War in history."
Then, four more Servants appeared behind him.
"In other words,
The Great Holy Grail War."
"-Now, let us begin this Great Holy Grail War"
