*Mika's POV*
The night was long and hard... Soon Shinoa came down and took over for us. Me and Yuu went to the room she and Mitsuba came out of and he slept. Since I don't sleep, all I could do was provide extra help in guarding the house.

A knock came to the door and Shinoa came through. "Mika I wanna talk to you if that's alright. Come down when you can," she said and left.  Since Yuu wanted me to stay on the bed with him until he fell asleep, he was curled up to me like a cat. I had to carefully move him off of me and after about 5 minutes of shuffling around I finally got free and headed down to see her. 

She was standing in the hallway leading into the living room with Mitsuba still searching. "Alright speak. What was going on with you and Yuu. If you guys think you were being quite then you had another idea," she said and my whole face lit up. Does this woman even sleep!? Even if I lie Mitsuba might of heard us...

"We were just having a little fun. Is that not allowed now?" I asked and went to go back upstairs until she grabbed my arm. If I had a heart...I know it would be faster then a race hours right about now. "What?"

"Don't lie Mika, I know something is going on inside of your head and it has to do with Yuu. Just tell me and I won't say a word to anyone," she said and tighten her grip on me. She does know I can flip her...right? But for Yuu's sake I need to be nice. She seems like a trustworthy human, but I still can't fully trust her.

"Y-Yeah so what if there is? What are you gonna do about it?"

"Well how about you let me help? I can really get into Yuu's head and figure out what's going through his head."

"Why would you wanna help me? What's in it for you?" I asked and she put on a puzzled look. Humans don't do stuff without expecting something back, even if they are Yuu's family. She finally let go of my arm. 

"I wanna see Yuu happy.  Ever since he found you he hasn't stopped smiling and I want him to always smile with you. Only makes sense that I would help tie the knot for my fellow team mates," she said as she smiled at me. It sounds a lot like...no she wouldn't...

"Forgive me for asking, but is this a challenge?" I asked and she just looked up. Even though it looked like she wanted to cry, she shook her head at me. "Good, because I know you and others mean something to him so I don't want to hurt anyone if it means hurting him. The sun is about to come up so I'm heading back up."

I left her at that and headed back up to Yuu. Yeah I might of been a bit curl to her...but to me it sounded like she was trying to pick a fight with me. Walking back in Yuu was already awake and sitting up on the bed. "Hey where did you disappear to?"

"Aw were you worried about me? That's flattering," I said as I sat down. His face started to grow a deep red and he turned away from me. "Anyway I just nipped downstairs to make sure everything was alright. Why are you up anyway?"

"I dunno, I guess it's a force of habit as I'm always getting up at this time when..." he started to stop what he was saying. "When I was back at the base. I just can't stop thinking about Gurren and everyone else..." he mumbled and he held his head low.

"If your that worried about him... when we can we will go back for him," I said and grabbed his hand. He finally looked up at me with a big smile, then he lunged forward and hugged me. I didn't fight him...but I didn't put my arms around him. "Are you alright Yuu?"

"Just a little longer..." he said as he wrapped his arms around me even more. "I just wanna stay like this for a little while longer, you can throw me off if you want."

"Why would I do that? I would never throw you off?" I asked and gained a small giggle from him. After sitting for about 10 minutes he finally got of me and smiled as he was sitting on my legs. "Are you alright now from your little break-down?"

"Hey I think you have had the worst break-down. Remember when you saw me for the second time? Yeah the guys told me what you did. How heroic to fight for me!" he said as he got up and spun around hugging himself. My face started to go red as I recalled that day. That's when I saw Yuu passed out with the Moon Demon company and I...kind of lost it.

"Yuu! Mika! Are you two ready!? We're getting ready to move out!" Shinoa yelled from downstairs and got us out of the trance we were in. We just started to laugh as we looked at each other.  

"She is going to kill us if we don't hurry up, grab what you need then come down," Yuu said as he left the room. Same rubbish...different day...
