#2: Shelter
We come back to Brooklyn, New York as we see the defenders and the captives alike are heading to the local subway stations.
Anthony knocks on the gated shutters as a voice is heard from the otherside, "Password."
"'For Earth and its people'." The NYPD officer said. "We're not alone as we have captives from the invading Xenos(Zerkonians). So don't shoot them."
As the gated shutters slowly creaked open, revealing the armed militia poised for action, a tense standoff unfolded between the defenders and the captives. The sight of weapons trained on Zarin and the other alien prisoners cast a pall of uncertainty over the gathering, heightening the stakes of their precarious situation.
Amidst the palpable tension, Anthony stepped forward, his gaze unwavering as he addressed the militia with a firm yet diplomatic tone. "These captives are not our enemies," he declared, his voice carrying a sense of authority and conviction. "They stand with us against the Xeno invasion. We must show them compassion and understanding, for they are allies in our fight for survival."
His words resonated with some members of the militia, who lowered their weapons hesitantly, swayed by Anthony's impassioned plea for empathy and unity. Others remained wary, their mistrust of the alien captives lingering despite the officer's assurances.
Zarin, the captive alien leader, stood stoically amidst the scrutiny of the armed defenders, his expression a mask of resolve and determination. Despite the hostility directed towards him and his companions, he remained steadfast in his commitment to aiding humanity in its struggle against the Zerkonian invaders.
Sensing the precariousness of the situation, Anthony took a step forward, extending a hand of trust and solidarity towards Zarin. "We may be different, but we share a common goal," he said, his voice tinged with earnestness. "Let us stand together as allies, united in our fight against the true enemy."
The tension in the air was palpable as the fate of the defenders and their alien captives hung in the balance. In that moment of uncertainty, the choices made by both sides would shape the course of their shared destiny, forging bonds of alliance amidst the crucible of conflict and adversity.
As the group entered, they saw that the subway is used as a hideout for the city's defenders. Mostly the entire NY Subway Network is used as the defenders main bases of operation.
Each one had a makeshift small clinic, armory, and food and water storage.
As Zarin and the other alien captives navigated the bustling underground hideout of the city's defenders, they couldn't help but sense the mixed reactions from the human inhabitants. The glances directed their way ranged from curious scrutiny to outright hostility, leaving them keenly aware of the uneasy atmosphere that pervaded the subway tunnels.
Despite their best efforts to blend in and demonstrate their allegiance to the defenders' cause, the alien captives couldn't shake the feeling of being regarded with suspicion and distrust. The sight of armed humans clutching their weapons tighter whenever they drew near served as a stark reminder of the deep-seated animosity that lingered between their two species.
Zarin, ever vigilant, observed the wary expressions and tense postures of the humans around him, recognizing the underlying fear and resentment that fueled their apprehension. For him and his fellow captives, it was a disheartening realization—a testament to the profound divide that separated their worlds, even in the face of a common enemy.
Despite the adversity they faced, Zarin remained steadfast in his resolve to prove their worth as allies to the defenders. With each step taken through the underground labyrinth of makeshift clinics, armories, and storage facilities, he sought to earn the trust and acceptance of those around him, determined to bridge the gap between their species and forge a path towards cooperation and unity in the fight against the Zerkonian invaders.
The subway network, once a bustling artery of urban life, had been transformed into a veritable fortress, serving as the primary bastion of resistance against the Zerkonian invasion.
The makeshift clinics hummed with activity as medical personnel tended to the wounded and sick, their tireless efforts a testament to the indomitable spirit of the defenders. Amidst the clang of metal and the shuffle of footsteps, Zarin observed the organized chaos with a mixture of admiration and respect, recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of those who labored tirelessly to heal the wounds of war.
In the armories, defenders armed themselves with a myriad of weapons and equipment, preparing for the inevitable clashes with the Zerkonian forces. The air crackled with anticipation as soldiers checked and rechecked their gear, their steely resolve mirrored in the gleam of their weapons. For Zarin and his fellow captives, the sight served as a sobering reminder of the perilous nature of their predicament, as they stood amidst the arsenal of humanity's defiance against the alien invaders.
The defenders' unwavering resolve was a stark contrast to the Zerkonian forces' unbridled brutality and cruelty, further strengthening Zarin's resolve to stand alongside humanity in their fight for survival. For him and his fellow captives, their paths had irrevocably converged, united by a common goal and the promise of a brighter future for their world.
Zarin then tried to speak up to one of the human, "Hello the-
"Fuck off, Xeno." The human quickly walked away from the alien.
Anthony sees Zarin and the others trying to mingle with the humans, only to be rejected, "Don't mind them. Some humans aren't quite ready for this as many have lost their friends and loved ones to the Xenos." He explained.
"It's understandable. There's still much distrust between our two species. But I'm hoping that will change with time," Zarin responded, his voice tinged with a mixture of resignation and optimism.
As one of the captives with her lower half of a snake slithered to the NYPD officer and spoke, "I see. So your kind has suffered many losses as well. We had lost many of our brothers and sisters from the Zerkonian Empire's assaults." Her tone, laced with sorrow and regret, reflected the shared pain and suffering experienced by their respective races. This gotten some attention from the other humans including the ones that then already met as she continued. "Our people had endured much suffering, having been oppressed and enslaved by the Zerkonians for centuries. We had seen countless lives lost, our culture and traditions erased, all in the name of their tyrannical regime. Many of us have either lost our home planets or our planets became the battlegrounds, and now their next target is your planet Earth. You see, our peoples have been fighting them for a long time, and the losses have been great."
Zarin and his fellow captives then joined their comrade and continued her speech, "We know that your species had never gotten along well due to the Zerkonians, and that there's still much distrust and hatred between us as we're also from a different planet and race. But despite all that, we still believe that it's possible for us to move beyond our differences and work together towards a common goal. We want to make a new start with you, to show you that we're not your enemy. And we're willing to do whatever it takes to earn your trust and respect."
The aliens' impassioned words struck a chord with the human defenders, many of whom began to re-evaluate their preconceptions of the captive extraterrestrials. As the gravity of the situation sank in, a newfound sense of understanding and acceptance began to take root, bringing hope for a brighter future for humanity and its new alien allies.
Zarin then looked at Anthony remembering the words he said to him before he and the captives were brought here, "'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'." He smiled.
Anthony smiled back at him.
As the group moved through the subway station, they couldn't help but notice the tension between the defenders and the alien captives. The hostile glares and terse exchanges were changed to curiosity and guarded interest, as the defenders began to see the aliens in a new light.
The captives' bravery in the face of adversity, and their willingness to risk their own lives in the name of defending Earth, had earned them a grudging respect among the human defenders.
As they continued their journey through the labyrinthine depths of the subway station, the defenders and captives alike embarked on a path towards reconciliation and cooperation, their shared resolve serving as a beacon of hope in the face of overwhelming odds. In the crucible of war, amidst the rubble and ruins of a world besieged by alien invaders, the seeds of friendship and understanding were sown, heralding a new chapter in the struggle for survival and solidarity against the forces of darkness.
Just then a human comes out of one of the terminals and shouts to mostly the human defenders, "Grand Central Station and Penn Station just sent a message to all stations to prepare to launch an attack on the Xeno occupied JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport!"
Most of the humans in the station were shocked, "What!?!" They asked.
"Yes, I've already received a report from the two stations about the Xenos are setting up a large makeshift airfield at the airports for their space and land troops. The stations say if we take those two airports back in our hands and destroy all their aircraft there. We'll have clear skies within the entire states from Maine to Jersey and Ohio. They also said that the Canadians will send bombers towards the ports and harbors that the Xenos have occupied while the US Navy will send ships towards the coasts to sink the Xeno fleet and the National Guard from Connecticut will attack the Xeno bases." The human explained.
"That's a suicide mission!" One of the humans shouted.
"We can't risk our men on this! Let's wait until the Canadian Air Force and the US Navy arrive." Another human spoke.
"Yeah, but how long will it take them? Days? Weeks? Months? If we wait any longer, the Xenos will gain more air and naval superiority, and our defenses will be shattered." A third human reasoned.
"We've lost too many men, women, and children to these damn Xenos, and if we don't act soon, we'll lose this war, our country, and this planet. We need to make a stand and fight back." A fourth human urged.
"And if we fail? If we lose this battle, then it's all over." The third human added.
"If we don't try, then we've already lost." The second human declared.
The heated debate continued as the defenders and captives alike wrestled with the gravity of the situation.
Amidst the fervent discussions, Zarin spoke up, his voice carrying a resolute and determined tone, "We will help."
The room went quiet, and all eyes turned towards the alien captives.
"We have experience fighting the Zerkonians. We know their tactics, their strategies. We can help you plan an attack and increase your chances of success."
Zarin's words hung in the air, as the defenders considered his offer.
"I don't think the humans will accept our help." Another one of the captives stated.
The first one countered. "The Zerkonians have been waging wars across our galaxies for generations and took our planets within a mere three to four days." He looks at Eddy as his mandibles moved with every word, "How long have you humans been fighting the Zerkonians?"
"25 days." Eddy said as many of the alien captives eyes or expressions looked of shock while some looked impressed.
"As you can see with our help," Zarin spoke up, "You have a chance of succeeding. If we don't succeed, the Zerkonian's will continue their advance on Earth."
The defenders looked at each other, and their decision was made.
"Catch." Anthony said to Zarin as he threw a AR-15 at him. "Let's get to planning."
As the defenders and the aliens worked together to devise a strategy for their impending attack on the Zerkonian-occupied airport, a newfound sense of hope and determination permeated the underground tunnels, bolstering the morale and spirits of the human and alien allies.
The group's attention was focused on a large map of the state of New York and surrounding areas. With the Zerkonians' main strongholds at JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge highlighted, the defenders and aliens deliberated the best way to approach their mission.
Zarin's knowledge of the Zerkonian military proved invaluable, providing the defenders with insight into the enemy's potential strategies and tactics. He highlighted key vulnerabilities and weaknesses in their defenses, enabling the humans to devise a more effective attack plan.
Meanwhile, the other captives' experience in combat contributed greatly to the discussion, offering a fresh perspective and unique insights that the humans had not considered. With their combined expertise, the group was able to identify the most effective methods for achieving their goals, boosting their confidence in the face of a difficult challenge.
The camaraderie and sense of purpose that developed between the human and alien allies strengthened their resolve, providing them with a renewed sense of hope and determination. Together, they were determined to overcome the odds and secure a victory against the Zerkonian invaders.
The plan is set, and the defenders were ready. With the aliens by their side, they would launch a daring attack on the Zerkonian-occupied airports and bridges. The fate of New York City and, ultimately, the entire world would be decided in the coming hours.
"All right, let's move out." Anthony said.
"For Earth!" Yelled the snake lady alien.
"For Earth!" the rest shouted in unison.
The subway network is used as the main base for the city's defenders. Most of the time, the entire New York Subway Network is used as a shelter and a military base.
With their resolve solidified and their plan in place, the defenders and their newfound alien allies embarked on their mission with determination and purpose. As they made their way through the labyrinthine tunnels of the New York Subway Network, their hearts beat with a shared sense of urgency and anticipation.
Each step forward brought them closer to the heart of the conflict, to the battleground where they would confront the Zerkonian invaders head-on. For the defenders, the subway network served as their bastion of hope, a sanctuary from which they would launch their daring assault on the enemy's stronghold.
As they emerged from the depths of the subway tunnels and into the dimly lit corridors of JFK International Airport, the defenders braced themselves for the battle that lay ahead. With weapons at the ready and determination in their hearts, they advanced towards their objective with unwavering resolve.
The air crackled with tension as they approached the makeshift Zerkonian airfield, where enemy forces were entrenched and prepared to repel any intruders. But the defenders were undeterred, their spirits buoyed by the knowledge that they fought not just for their own survival, but for the future of humanity itself.
With a thunderous roar, the defenders launched their attack, unleashing a barrage of firepower upon the enemy positions. The sound of gunfire and explosions echoed through the air as chaos erupted on the battlefield.
Amidst the chaos and confusion, the aliens fought alongside their human allies with unwavering courage and determination. Their knowledge of Zerkonian tactics proved invaluable, enabling the defenders to anticipate and counter the enemy's moves with precision and skill.
As the battle raged on, the defenders pressed forward, inch by inch, determined to reclaim control of the airport and drive the Zerkonian invaders from their shores. With each passing moment, their resolve grew stronger, fueled by the knowledge that they fought not just for themselves, but for the future of all humanity.
And as the smoke cleared and the dust settled, victory belonged to the defenders. The Zerkonian forces were routed, their makeshift airfield destroyed, and their plans for domination thwarted. The defenders had prevailed against overwhelming odds, standing firm in the face of adversity and emerging triumphant against their alien adversaries.
But even as they celebrated their hard-won victory, they knew that the battle was far from over. The war against the Zerkonian invaders raged on, and the defenders would need to remain vigilant, united, and resolute in their determination to protect their world from the forces of darkness.
Meanwhile in Ukraine.
"Окупанти послали за нами ще один танк! Навідник цілиться 0-2-7 праворуч!" A Ukrainian T-84 Commander spoke to his Gunner.
"Зловив його! Вистрілив!" The Gunner said as the Ukrainian T-84 rocked back as it fired it's 125 mm/L48 smoothbore cannon, sending an APFSDS dart towards the Zerkonian vehicle it was targeting. The dense projectile punched through the armor of the hovering tank and exploded as it's energy capacitors overloaded from extensive damage caused by the projectile. The vehicle died as it crashed to the ground lifelessly.
Once the kill was confirmed, the tank pulled back to relocate before any of the invaders could zero in on it's position. "Це наше п'яте вбивство за цю годину! Ці інопланетяни думають, що можуть досягти успіху там, де росіяни зазнали невдачі? Вони помиляються!"
"Командир! Ще один танк у моїх прицілах, з ним є солдати!"
"Значить, більше хочеться померти для нас?" The auto loader in the tank readied another round in the gun. "Навідник, стріляй на приціл!"
"На шляху!" The human tank rocked back as it sent another dart towards the Zerkonian tank, killing it and several infantry foot soldiers who were close enough to be affected by the secondary explosions. However two more showed up and focused on the lone T-84.
"Лайно, лайно, лайно! Водій, підтримай нас зараз!"
The tank pulled back just as two lasers from both alien tanks missed and hit a nearby building, melting two perfect holes in the walls. "Перемістіть нас і тримайте наш корпус подалі від їхніх гармат! Один удар і готово!"
The tank maneuvered around the urban battlespace to find a suitable position to shoot at the Zerkonian tanks from without putting itself in a vulnerable position. Meanwhile the Zerkonian tanks gave pursuit to try and get a shoot on the human vehicle and kill it. Despite their ability to hover, they weren't as fast or agile as the treaded tank. Also they lacked a turret to traverse their guns freely.
That's right. In a city, hover tanks would struggle to keep up with tread track tanks because they are forced to move slower due to it being harder to slow down and not crash into anything.
Turning around a building, the first tank was hit by another APFSDS and blew up like all other tanks before it. Scoring another kill, the T-84 drove off to reposition before the other tank could get a shot on it. Zerkonian infantry were able to find and shoot the human tank with their energy weapons which started melting the armor or setting off the ERA panels across the hull. The tank has already lost several of it's ERA after previous battles against the invaders. In kind the tank responded with it's 7.62×54mmR KT-7.62 coaxial machine gun which was able to make short work of the Zerkonian soldiers attacking it.
Once the second tank showed up, it was instantly killed as an APFSDS to the center mass blew it up from an explosion inside. All threats were eliminated, for now.
The commander sighed in relief, "Коли ми закінчимо, мені знадобиться ціла пляшка горілки."
"Командир, ми отримали ще один танк на полі!" Looking through his sights, the commander spotted what he wasn't expecting to see out here. Another human tank. But this one was a T-90, and it had Russian markings on it, and it was looking right at his tank. "Мені стріляти, командире?" The gunner asked as he had his sights lined up with the Russian tank.
However before any order could be given, the Russian tank adjusted it's gun away from the Ukrainian tank and fired at something else. That something else was another Zerkonian tank which blew up in the same manner as the Ukrainians have been killing them. "Не стріляти. Здається, у нас може бути неочікуваний, але бажаний союзник."
Both tanks, despite their... differences, cultures, politics, leaders and previous history, disregarded each other's national affiliations and met with the same ideas. Destroy the Zerkonian menace. More Zerkonians and their tanks began entering the city area, quickly spreading out and taking control of the streets and surrounding buildings. With the current state as a result of the former ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, the city had little resistance and the Zerkonians were able to take the stationed Ukrainian defenders by surprise while they were mainly focused on the Russians. The Russo-Ukrainian War was put on hold as many leaders on the Russian side were killed by the Zerkonians.
Leaders like Putin and Kim were killed and whoever their number two is now running.
The Russians, despite having a similar problem, have been able to hold back the invaders. The Zerkonian forces there were much lighter and didn't have the strength to push through the fortified and better equipped Russian military.
The Russian Federation is a country that has been under constant Zerkonian attacks since the beginning of their invasion. Despite being one of the largest countries in the world, the Russian military has been struggling against the numerically superior invaders. However, the Zerkonians are unable to penetrate the Russian defenses and are forced to fight a war of attrition.
However since their initial takeover, the Ukrainians have reorganized and have begun an effective liberation of their capital. Day by day, streets and districts were being retaken by their rightful owners, with the Zerkonians losing ground by each day.
A couple of HIMARS batteries, courtesy of the Americans. And mobile howitzers Dana's and Zuzana's, courtesy of Czechia and Slovakia. Were being armed and readied to bombard a large build up of Zerkonian forces just outside the city area. Since they were being pushed back, more Zerkonians were being deployed in designated areas to build up and initiate a counter offensive to retake full control of the city. However, every time they tried to build their forces up, the Ukrainians and a few Russians were waiting for them with mobile rocket batteries. A lone small drone was watching as large Zerkonian dropships came down and offloaded more vehicles and infantry to assault the city. In total, about twenty-five tanks were identified with a possible fifty infantry fighting vehicles, sixty mobile artillery, and thousands of Zerkonian soldiers.
The launchers began firing their rockets which arced up and began homing in on their targets. The Zerkonians lacked any counter battery weapon systems so to speak of, so there was nothing they could do when the rockets landed and began obliterating their army. Explosions began tearing apart the Zerkonian army as vehicles were blown up and infantry were torn to shreds from the explosive shrapnel. Several canisters that either served a ammo or energy were caught laying about and served as secondary explosions when the rockets hit. The dropships that were delivering vehicles and infantry on the ground were caught in the barrage and were takeout as well, crashing into the dirt after taking heavy damage. Within a single barrage, the entire Zerkonian army had been wiped out.
Remember, they are aliens, not humans. Their planets are different, their environment is different. Their society is different. They may have gone the energy way and completely missed the kinetic way like we did. People tend to forget that not all species use the same tech tree, they all have different tech trees. Aliens might not invented the Internet at all if they are a hive mind for example.
Their tanks are very different and their weapons are not compatible with our own. The only way the Zerkonians have been winning their wars is because they overwhelm the enemy with their sheer numbers. However, their tactics are very poor, and their leadership is incompetent. They don't understand the concept of terrain or the benefits of using the land to your advantage.
This is why they are losing the war.
Ukrainians and Zerkonians traded shots at a human controlled checkpoint which the humans were using to hold against Zerkonian advances until a full force could be deployed to retake further parts of the city. Bullets and lasers were flying across the street as both sides intended to inflict casualties on one another. A BTR-4 had joined the fight and was laying down fire with it's 30mm 2A72 automatic cannon. Each shot was enough to completely obliterate an alien with a direct hit.
Several Russian T-90s and T-80s emerged with a pair of BTR-90s which joined the Ukrainians' efforts with their own from another position across the street, where they began flanking the Zerkonian forces and laying down fire from their exposed flank.
"Это российские танковые соединения для украинских войск. Не стреляйте, мы пришли на помощь. Наши цели - атаковать инопланетную угрозу."
"Российские войска, будьте начеку! С левой стороны приближается колонна вражеской бронетехники! Повторяю, левая сторона!"
"Понял, приспосабливаемся! Все танки убивают врага на месте!"
The newly arriving Russian armor disengaged from the Zerkonian infantry and adjusted to face off against the incoming tanks. The first tanks to arrive on scene were immediately taken out with single well placed shots from the 125mm smoothbore cannons. However, another tank slid out from cover and managed to send off a beam. The laser hit one of the T-90s, bypassing it's ERA and hitting the ammo, causing the Russian tank to explode with it's turret sent flying off in a smoking wreck.
"Мы только что потеряли танк! Вся броня теперь переставляется!"
The tanks were on the move as they drove for cover and positions that would give a higher strategic edge against the Zerkonian weapons. The two sides traded fire while the Russians pulled back and disengaged for now, their job done. However, the BTR-4, despite being the least armored and best equipped of the bunch, took a shot to it's engine and caught on fire.
"American anti-tank team reporting in. We have visual on Xeno armor." A couple of US Army soldiers equipped with FGM-148 Javelins took up firing positions and aimed at the Zerkonian tank. The guns and hovering capabilities displayed huge heat signatures on the tanks, and made them perfect targets for the infrared guidance systems installed on the missiles.
"I have lock! Backblast clear?"
"You're clear! Shoot the Xenos!" Missiles began shooting out from the launchers and homing on the tanks. The Zerkonians didn't seem to noticed before the first missile hit with warhead detonating. The result was an overload of the tank's weapon which caused it to explode. Another missile hit another Zerkonian tank and destroyed it in a similar manner as the last. Both weapon users pulled back into cover as their squadmates began attaching fresh launchers with rockets in replacement of the spent tubes.
"Good hits, but we are running out of missiles. We will need more resupply."
"They're getting close, we need to get out of here now!"
"We should retreat. Our job is done. We have the target's locations."
"Agreed. Pulling out, now."
The US soldiers retreated as the Zerkonians advanced on the building, taking up firing positions to provide suppressing fire. However, a sudden fire of shots from a building next to them drew their attention. A Russian sniper had taken position and was using a 7.62×54mmR SVD Dragunov sniper rifle to shoot at the Zerkonian vehicles, blowing them up and disabling their mobility. The infantry were killed by the machine gunners and their bodies were riddled with bullets.
Meanwhile as the Zerkonian tanks turned to focus on the attacking Ukrainians and Americans, the Russian tanks reengaged and fired upon them with APFSDS rounds. The dense darts were enough to destroy the tanks with a single shot.
"Донесение российских танковых войск, все машины противника уничтожены. Поиск новых целей."
A British AgustaWestland Apache flew by and began dropping anti-armor munitions onto the surviving Zerkonian vehicles and infantry, decimating their numbers and destroying the remaining Zerkonian tanks. The Ukrainian, Russian, and American soldiers moved out from cover and secured the area, making sure to clear out any survivors and putting them down for good.
"That was the last of them." One of the American soldiers commented. "I can't believe how badly we are doing against these guys. How are we going to stop this? How are we going to win?"
"I just got news that a militia of both humans and captive Xenos in NYC just took back JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge from the Xenos. They are also preparing for a counter-attack to clear out any remaining Xeno forces."
"Well that's great. But it doesn't change the fact that there are still Xenos occupying the rest of the planet, and we have no idea what kind of forces they have left. Or if the captives are-" The American soldier stop as he saw some aliens slowly approaching them, "DON'T FUCKING MOVE YOU INVADERS! KEEP YOUR WHATEVER I CAN SEE THEM, OR ELSE I WILL BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF!"
"NO SHOOT!! WE SLAVES!!" One of the aliens spoke up in very broken English.
"What do we do? If they are telling the truth then we might have some new allies here. But if they are not, we might have a serious problem." Said the first American to one of the Ukrainian soldiers as more aliens came. Some with broken shackles and some with injuries.
"How did you survive?" Asked a Russian officer.
"We slaves! Not soldiers. Work in ship, no weapons, no armor. No freedom." The alien told him, "Zerkonian soldiers leave us here. We are not soldiers. You humans are strong."
"I can't believe I'm saying this but... welcome to Earth. Now go help those who are hurt and bring them someplace safe. We'll see if we can help you out, but it won't be much. We are fighting for our lives, we can't just sit back and help you guys, and we're sorry about that."
"No need sorry. We understand. Human fight Zerkonians. Zerkonian bad. Slaves, work in ship. Zerkonian kill us if we not work. Kill us if we work wrong. You kill Zerkonians."
"So are you willing to join the fight?" Asked one of the American soldiers, "Because we will need all the help we can get."
"Yes. We help you. You help us. Human free slaves, slaves help humans."
"We have a deal. As us humans have a saying, 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'."
The human and alien leaders shook hands or tentacles as their forces stood together.
"We are the defenders of Earth, and we will stop at nothing to defeat the Xenos!"
The aliens, or the 'slaves' as they call themselves, helped the injured and gathered the dead, including the fallen humans, and moved them away from the area and towards a better, safer place.
"Hey, how are you doing?" A British soldier asked as he approached a female alien.
"Fine. You human. Me slave. I glad you human. We friends."
"You speak very good English. Where did you learn it?"
"Learn on ship. Zerkonians learn your language. So can slaves. We slaves, they masters. I learn. You human, you strong. Stronger than Zerkonians. I want to kill them. We want to kill them. All slaves want to kill them." The other aliens were allowed to follow and were provided medical care as needed.
The battle continued raging elsewhere across other districts in the city. However this fight was won as the human forces and their new alien allies gained more of a foothold in both Kyiv and NYC. With the Zerkonians wiped out from those areas, they would advance to another location to continue their fight to secure more ground.
The fight was just beginning, and it would take time to retake the world.
And even more to drive out the invaders and their masters, the Zerkonian Empire.
As the battle raged on, casualties mounted, and the stakes grew ever higher, the defenders remained resolute in their determination to emerge victorious. With each victory came renewed hope and determination to continue the fight until the last Zerkonian invader was driven from their planet.
The battle for Earth was far from over, but with unity, courage, and perseverance, the defenders stood ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. For them, the fight was not just for survival, but for the future of their world and all who called it home. And they would stop at nothing to ensure that humanity and their newfound alien allies prevailed against the forces of darkness.
